Death of a Warrior

This planet is barren, nothing but rock and sand. Few human buildings stand here, but unstable for anyone to go in. Necrons roam in the land, thinking that they, and only they, rule this system, rule Kaurava. But the Greater Good shall cleanse them from all of Kaurava, so will be to the Orks and any who opposes against the Tau Empire. The Humans and Eldar may live with us, in peace. But we must wait, until the Imperium of man and our empire are at peace, the Orks and any oppressors are wiped out, and the Greater Good has spread throughout the known space, and, for us to stop this warfare. All I ever wanted is peace throughout the galaxy, no war, no death, and no bloodshed. That is why I am a Shas'el of the Fire Warrior team, Eoro'Doran, Guider to Peace.

"Commander Or'es'Ka, the Necrons are nearly finished, their lord should come at any time to kill you." I looked at him; he has a red battle suit, mounted under jetpacks, shield generator, and a stealth field. He carries a cyclic ion blaster on his right arm, two missile pods on his shoulders and a flamer on his left. He was given this during the conquest cleansing Kaurava of the other races. I have my battle suit and a pulse carbine, a ceremonial knife, four photon grenades and two power cells, with two gun drones and a for surviving this long with him. I've been to all the races main bases, and seen their leaders die, but somehow, they disappear and so do their troops. It is strange, hope it will never happen to Or'es'Ka.

"I know, and I see what you are thinking. We must push on while our three Crisis battle suits protect me. Is your new squad performing well?

"Yes Commander Or’es’Ka. Though, they haven't been able to fight well in close combat." My squads of eight haven’t told me their names, most of their predecessors died along the way here, rest of them were too injured to fight on. Yet, for some reason, I still live and not only that, intact? Maybe the Greater Good has blessed me or given me a task I must discover.

We went with two crisis battle suits, we heard gauss rifles and then found the Flayed Ones, Necrons who instead of just killing, well flays and wears their victim’s skin, thinking of it as a trophy. My team and my drones started firing at the Flayed Ones, taking down four of them. I then shot my photon grenade from the carbine's grenade launcher, destroying the rest of them. I told one of my squad members to fire at them so they won't reassemble. Out troops followed Or'es'Ka, who was leading us to the Necron's last monolith, where their lord is at. There were three Broadside and Crisis battle suits, four Kroot Carnivore Squads, 3 Fire Warrior Teams (excluding mine), three Hammerhead and two Sky Ray gunships, and one Drone Harbinger.

The commander stopped and gave a quick speech, "Fellow Kroot, Shas'la, Shas'ui, Shas'vre, and our warrior who lived throughout this conflict, never injured, Shas'el Eoro'Doran, we have fought long and hard to claim this sector for the Greater Good, so we shall not fail. The remaining Necrons are station here and, no doubt, will be in massive numbers. But fear not, for the Greater Good shall assist us to defeat the enemy and finally end the war here, so our Empire and our allies shall prosper in peace. Ready Now!" Necrons started appearing on the hill waiting for us to attack. "Charge!" the Hammerheads and Sky Rays immedeatly fired, demolishing the Necrons who fired seconds later. The Crisis battlesuits stayed with the commander, while the others charged in. 3 Tau and 4 Kroot were killed during the charge, but 34 Necrons were destroyed by them. On the hill, we saw the Monolith on a valley and the Necron lord in front. The Broadsides deployed on the hill firing at their destroyers, while the Fire Warriors and Kroot attacked the infantry. Many of our troops have died, 17 Tau 1 Crisis and 1 broadside battle suit, and 23 Kroot, but theirs loses are even greater, 113 Necrons destroyed. The last remaining of them surrounded the Monolith, 274 Necrons. Or'es'Ka shouted, "Battle suits and Gunships, fire at the Monolith it is the only way to stop their forces! Warriors and Kroot engage their troops from afar!" Rockets and rail gun fire flew over us, hitting the Monolith or blasting the ground beneath. The monoliths’ fired it gauss cannon at us, taking out the Drone Harbinger in three shots.

I said, looking at my team, "Shas'la fire all you weapons on their lord, engage it in melee if you must, it might take out our Shas'o." My team charge at the Necron lord. Then six Pariahs teleported in front of us, all stabbing and killing one of my squad members. Wait, he's gone, vanished into nothing. How can this be? Another of my Shas'la has fallen, then another. Soon they were all gone, but also their Pariahs as well. I fire all that I had from my carbine at their lord, before it stabbed me in the chest with his staff."Grahhh!" The pain was unbearable, fell quickly on the ground. Blood was gushing right out of me, covering my armor in it. Soon 53 Necrons surrounded me, all aiming their gauss weapons or claws at me.

Then the Necron Lord said to me, "You............live again..........die"  A red object crashed down in front of me, blowing the Necrons away. It was Or'es'Ka! Then nearly all the Necrons surrounded us.  He fired all his weapons on their lord, which tore it apart before disappearing. The Necrons started approaching Or'es'Ka, when everything turned into a blur, white, and then darkness.

.......... Shas'el Eoron!"

I yelled as I got up, before being gently pushed back down. "It is okay Eoron, we....most of us are well." I stood up, gazing what is around. Instead of seeing a dry desert, I saw a forest filled with animals that inhabit the human worlds. Rabbit, foxes, birds, and many other creatures were surrounding us, before being eaten by the Kroot. I looked at our troops, most were injured, but all are alive. We even have our base and our building around, six barracks, one Cadre Headquarters and three Plasma Generator to keep the base operational, including the four Earth Caste Builders. I looked at the one who was speaking to me, who was none other than Shas'o Or'es'Ka.

I then asked him, "Ugh, where are we? Are we at Kauruva III, or somewhere else?"

He replies, "I do not know. I can recieve troops that I know have died from orbit through the Orca Dropships, but I cannot see the ship holding them . Something is not right, this may not be Kaurava at all, or any star systems we encountered" We then heard loud gunshots near, Orks. Seconds later, we heard three young female voices scream. Are these Humans, or some other sentient race? "Eoron, get your squad together and intercept the enemy. Bring the natives here; we must know more about this place." I nodded and my squad regrouped just outside the base. Who are these sentient being who inhabit here?

AN: Tau is in Eoro's perspective, while the rest is in third-person.

Ponyville, a casual settlement created for casual purposes. But today, well...."CUTIE MARK CRUSADER MYSTERY SOLVERS! YAY!" The shout was great enough to crack a few windows.

"Sweetie Belle, you will not go near the Everfree."

“Yah too Applebloom, ah ain't gonna let yah git hurt."

“Come on, girls. Just let them. You two can just stay behind them if anything happens. But that won’t happen because of Scootaloo, right?"

Rainbow Dash looks at her, who nervously replies, “Um...yeah so can we go." The three fillies then said, "Pleeeeeaaaase?" in unison.

"Alright, but Rare and ah will stay close, ya hear?" They nodded and galloped off.

"But I'll lose time on making dresses." Rarity whinned, but followed AJ.

20 minutes later

"It's been hours and we still can't find what where looking for."

“Just wait, Scoots. Ah'm sure we'll find what we're lookin for." A popping noise was then heard from a tree, which was almost destroyed. The fillies then jumped back, fearing that somepony did that purposely.

A brutish voice was heard, "Oie! Ya miss da chiken!"

Then another, “Ah know dat! Come on, Slugga Boyz! We'z got's food's ta kill." Then more popping noises were heard. The fillies then screamed, running deeper into the forest. They then hid in a cave, waiting for the two sisters. Then a red bipedal creature walks inside carrying a somewhat large red stick. "This is a member of a Fire Warrior, reveal youself, you will not be harmed.' The feature-less face has one red and one green light on the front and a very small stick on the left side of its head. It then looks at the three, as seven more appeared, though less large than the one who came first, and carried a long stick. As the large one approach, the fillies shook in terror. It then took off its head, revealing a blue creature with red eyes inside. It said with a male voice, "Do not fear children. You are now under the protection of the Tau Empire and the Greater Good."
