When you first meet someone different

Today was an especially bright day for a certain white unicorn, the birds were chirping and there wasn't a
single cloud in an amazing sky. this particular pretty unicorn was me, Rarity. Unfortunately though I had to
miss out on this perfect afternoon to go to Zecora's house to get a special fragrance from her because in just
two days yours truly is going to a huge party.
After an hour of searching through this dreadful forest I gave up. And I couldn't figure out where to go so
I had to keep looking when I-I came upon some... THING that absolutely dreadful, it had only two legs which
were fore legs and had scales and a long snake tail. But had no mane or ears but, like a king cobra had a
hood, but this hood was eased to his sides. I screamed in panic, I looked closer and his silver-blue eyes were
dilated into slits when I figured out, it is blind. But none the matter I had felt no pity for whatever IT is,
whatever it was, was a beast.

Today was dreadful despite a clear sky, I got beat up by my fellow species which are snake ponies and if you
haven't guessed are half snake half pony, but we have never met a pony before, well none that I know of. But I
was beaten in front of the very girl I had a crush on, her name was Rosiepedal. I didn't even care that I was
stuck in the middle of the forest and my glasses were taken and I didn't care he was bloody from what had
happened.I cared about the face Rosie had when it was happening and the cold giggle, which was where I gave
up. I am ravenscale I am a blind snake pony that is a navy blue with other shades of blue adorned on my pad
pattern.
As if it couldn't be worse I saw a beast in front of me, it was white with purple, I couldn't tell what this
um thing could possibly be. Whatever this was I reached out to it "H-help me." I hesitated. I stuck out my
tongue for a quick second to see if I recognized the smell. I didn't. I don't think it heard me fore it had
given out a blood curdling scream. I backed away. "I-I just w-want help." My second attempt, even though I was
shy, I needed help.

The thing that lay at my hooves asked for... help? "Oh dear what is wrong?"I asked.
"I n-need shelter."Its voice was shaky and was a little higher pitched than any normal voices. "Well more
importantly can you... stand up?" I needed to make sure of which because this creature was larger than a
normal pony.He pushed himself up. And he was taller than I expected... he was a little bit smaller than
princess Celestia... about 5' 2"? No 5'9"!! It stuck out its tongue, for who knows why?
"Now dear, where do you live?" I asked, he gave me an utterly appauled look.
"No where important, I don't wanna go home." he then vigoursly shook his head. "No no, I will never go back."
His eyes got misty. "No." he had repeated to himself he seemed scared and lost.
I had to encourage myself to go home or we would both be lost... But then again... "Do you perhaps know where
Zecora lives?" I made myself sound very attractive and cute to encourage him to help.
"W-why yes I d-do." It wasnt that he was hesitant but his voice was naturally like this I think.
He led me in all sorts of directions, his tongue stuck out every once in awhile. When we were finally there
it was only sunset. No wait! Sunrise? But what made me feel dirty was HE ASKED ME for help and I do nothing
but when I ask for help he helps me. We walked in to Zecora's house to see her still asleep, I guess I could
ask her later... so we left. "Wanna stay in my house for a little while dear?" I asked him.
"A-are you sure I-I don't want t-to be a burden"."Oh, no, not at all."I wondered how sweetie belle would
react, which made me worried.
"Wait." I began to study him, noticing several bruises and cuts on his scales. Horrified, I backed away.
"H-have you been into fights?" I croaked
Footsteps russeled in the everfree, the beast stuck it's tongue out. Suddenly he pulled me into the bushes. I
bucked him in the face in alarm of being harmed by this thing. It ducked down as the footsteps came in front
of the bush.
"Where is that giant idiot I wasn't through with him yet." Said a gruff voice a it trotted away in anger.
The beast stared at me. He sighed, "I have." His voice was somber. "Never intentional fights" He replied.
"But yet you would fight back?" I asked appalled.
"No, never." He faced me. But he couldn't look into my eyes. I couldn't tell if I could trust him.
Then one of Twilight's spells came into mind, it was called a "The lie buster", odd name for a spell indeed.
It is temporary though, a lot of police and guard ponies use it to interrogate criminals. I cast it on the
creature.
"Have you hurt anypony physically?" I asked.
"If it makes you happy, then yes." He replied frustratedly.
A red line floated over his head, and after came with a yelp.
"Ow." The creature moaned
"Did you lie?"
"Y-yes, sorry ma'am"
"Do you hurt anything for fun?" I looked him fiercly in the eyes.
"No." He replied, this time a simple green line gleamed over his indigo head,
"Come on now." I warmly smiled.
"Y-yes Ma'am." He smiled back at me.
"Why are you stuttering? Are you cold or nervous?" I asked.
"It's j-just my v-voice." He replied miserably.
"Quite odd, do others of your species do that?" I asked, almost under my breath.
"No."

We came across a small clothing boutique. We walked in and entered a house part where I was given a pair of
temporary glasses, and noticed my new friend was a pony? Like Mirah told us! A pony, so this is what they
looked like! Then i remembered something... "Ma'am, what might be your name?" I asked her.
"Rarity." She replied in a kind tone of voice. A soft sound of small hoof steps could be heard, "Rarityyy!
What is all the ruckus I was having a dream whe-." A small unicorn with pale pink and purple curly hair and
grassy green eyes entered from the stairs, unlike rarity this one's flank was bare. "Morning SweetieBelle."
Rarity had bead of sweat roll down the side of her face, the little unicorn's face didn't seem scared but
pleasantly surprised? She galloped at full speed and ran circles around me asking so many questions."Hey
mister where is your cutie mark?" 'Sweetie belle' asked me.
"Snake ponies like me don't have cutie marks."I explained."Does that mean I am a snake pony?" she asked. I
giggled "no little one.". She went over to her sister and asked for toast. Rarity looked at me after popping
bread in the toaster, I shook my head. I don't really like eating. Fore I am below it.

Its been a week now and Ravenscale still hasn't eaten, I hope he is okay. One night I decided to send
Fluttershy a telegram to come over a soon as possible.
Fluttershy came over the following day. Her pale mane bounced as she trotted. "What is going on Rarity? Are
you ok?" She asked me.
"I am fine-" I began only to have the yellow pegasaus cut me off.
"Thank goodness."She sighed.
I had a sudden urge to go to the restroom. "Fluttershy." I said
"Yes Rarity?" Fluttershy responded in her quiet tone.
"Do you mind waiting here while I use the restroom?"I started to tap my hoof I had to go so badly.
"Of course!" She smiled.
"Oh and don't be to loud..." I requested.
"Why?" Fluttershy tilted her head
"Sweetie belle... is... taking a nap and I um... do not want to wake her up." I lied, I don't like lying to
Fluttershy but if she spotted Raven and screamed then it might attract bad attention... and that would simply
be the worst possible thing on the face if equestria.
"Why?" She asked again.
"Because she is um... saving up her energy for a hike with Apple Bloom and Scootaloo and... Applejack."I gave
her the best smile one could posibly conjure up.
"Ok." She squeaked happily.
