It was was raining in Ponyville that day. Nopony wanted to go outside, nopony except Pinkie pie. A hooded pony was walking into the small quite town and pinkie notice. She was planning on throwing a party for him as she usually did for new ponys. Pinky excitedly ran up to him and shouted "Hi there! Your new in town I've never seen you before I'm so excited every time a new pony comes into town because I get to throw a welcome party for him my names pinkie pie! Whats yours!"

"Pinkie Pie?" he said in a deep raspy voice. "uh That's my name." she said "you know a mare named Twilight sparkle?" Pinkie Pie look at him confused "Um yes do you need to see her."

"lead me to her." He said in a demanding tone.

"Sure!" she said in a gleeful tone. The rain began to slow as the two ponies approached the library where Twilight lived. "She just through there!" She said happily. "Thanks" he said as he knocked on the door. A small purple dragon opened the door. "Uh yes can I help you?" " I'm here to see Twilight Sparkle" he said in a threatening tone. "Ok. TWILIGHT!" he shouted A lavender unicorn walked down the stairs "Yes spike what is it?" she said in a slightly annoyed tone.

"This guy wants to talk to you!" He then picked up a jewel and ate it as he walk away. "Um yes sir how may I help you." She said as she walk down the stairs.

"You have an item I am looking to acquire. " Oh really, what's that a book or something?"

"I have been looking for it for years just when I thought I found it, it was gone purchased by a unicorn you know. I tracked down the unicorn who didn't have it anymore and with a little persuasion she revealed to me the location of it. she had lost it, taken by you" "You don't mean" "Yes, the Alicorn Amulet"

" I'm sorry sir but I can't allow you to have that." Spike was now looking on with concern. "Oh I wasn't asking." He said with a chuckle as his eyes started to glow red and a horn was revealed glowing as well.  His hood flew off revealing a dark black coat and black spiky mane. He had sadistic grin on his face as Applejack came threw the door. "Hey everypony I was passing by when I sa-" Right then he bucked Applejack against the wall "AHH! what in tarnation who is this rude pony!"

"I'm so sorry I have yet to introduce my self. My name is Dark Star now if you would be so kind GIVE ME THE AMULET"

"I don't have the amulet who even are you!" just as she said that she remembered wanted signs around Canterlot with his face and name written on it. "You're the thief and murderer being hunted by the royal guard aren't you!" Twilight exclaimed. "Well i guess my illustrious reputation precedes me" Dark Star said with a smug grin. Twilight flashed a look of fear and panic, thinking of all the crimes he committed. His eyes and horn started  to glow again and Twilight thought quick, teleporting out of the library. Dark Star smiled "she is powerful for a common unicorn."

Twilight, Applejack and Spike ran to the nearest building witch happened to be sugar cube corner. "HI Twilig-" "Shhh" twilight said. "That pony you brought to me he is really dangerous. He is wanted by Celestia's royal guard and he wants the Alicorn Amulet." Twilight said with a whisper.

"Twilight! You can't hide from me! Fine We'll do this your way!" Right then under his cloak revealed two large wings. He flew up into the clouds. "He's an alicorn how is that possible!" Twilight thought as she stared in awe as Dark Star cleared all the clouds, stopping the rain. Rainbow Dash, resting on a cloud, looked down and saw Dark Star clearing the clouds."Hey whats the big idea we're trying to water the crops you're not supposed to clear them yet!" She said thinking that Dark Star was just another pegasus. He finished and flew down to city hall. Everypony came out of their homes wondering why the rain had stopped. "Attention citizens of Ponyville! My name is Dark Star! Until Twilight Sparkle gives me the item I have asked of her You all will be isolated from the rest of Equestria!" His horn started to glow as a large red force filed surrounded Ponyville. "Everyday Twilight does not give me the item you will not be provided food or water and I WILL KILL ONE FILLY! If you are a parent or sibling or a filly hope you are not one of the unlucky ones! You may try to resists You are welcome to challenge me and no spell will get through that barrier! These new laws will be enforced starting tomorrow! Thank you all for listening and have a nice day!" He said as he walked of the stage.

The entire crowd was starting to panic as Dark Star seemed to disappear. Mayor Mare was trying to calm everyone down "Everypony calm down! Has anyone seen Twilight!" She yelled as the crowds screaming came to a halt. Twilight and her three friends had exited the shop and joined the crowd "Why don't you just give him what he wants Twilight !" An anonymous pony yelled from the crowd

"I can't! It would be to dangerous, he's looking for the Alicorn Amulet!"

"The Alicorn Amulet! We can't let him have that! Remember all the damaged that Trixie caused imagine him with it." Rarity said in panic. "Speaking of the great and powerful Trixie." A voiced called out from behind the crowed. It was Dark Star who had seemingly appeared out of nowhere. The sight of him caused the crowd to panic, everypony fleeing except for Twilight and her friends. "She held out for longer than I expected. Over an hour of "persuasion" before she gave in. You know I'm starting to wonder how long you can last Twilight?" He said with a grin.

"Oh my Celestia you tortured her didn't you!" Applejack yelled. He then shrugged still with a smile on his face. "You think I'm just gonna stand here and let terrorize my town!" Twilight said threateningly. " I did say you're welcome to challenge me" He said with a smile as he removed his cloak revealing a skull and crossbones as his cutie mark. Twilight's eyes started to glow a bright white and her horn a dark purple. All this wasn't worrying Dark Star as a be of magic flew from her horn hitting him. Dust flew up. As the dust settled it revealed a shield had formed around him. "Is that all you got" he said taunting her. Twilight was dumbfounded, she regained her composer and formed a shield around her and her friends. Dark Star smiled and the force field around him retracted back into his horn and turned into a beam of magic its self. It shattered Twilights shield effortlessly knocking her out. "You all bring her home I want her alive." he said as he walk away.

"Twilight! Twilight! wake up!" Dash said urgently. "What? what happened?" Twilight said as she woke up. "Oh yeah what happened "

"Well um he just sort of disappeared." Fluttershy said timidly. "do you know who he is sugar cube?" " All I know is that he is a criminal wanted by Celestias Royal gaurd. the last time we were in canterlot I noticed wanted posters with pictures of him on it. I don't know what he did but its clear he isn't playing around. We need to a plan to stop him."

"YEAH!" They all said agreeingly. "Ok so any Ideas!"

Meanwhile in Canterlot, celestia had noticed the massive shield around Ponyville. "Sister do you want us to investigate this?" Princess Luna asked."No we will both go tomorrow  I have a feeling both of us will be needed for this" The very next day both Luna and Celestia were escorted down to Ponyville. "WHO EVER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS REVEAL YOURSELF TO US!" Luna said in the royal Canterlot voice. Dark Star appeared in front of them smiling. "I was wondering how long it would take for you to show up. And your sister two that's wonderful. Allow me to introduce my self My name is-" "Dark Star. Celestia told me about you" Luna interrupted. "Oh really did she tell you about all my exploits and all my adventures." He said with a grin on his face. "What are you doing in Ponyville?" Celestia ask with a look of anger in her eyes. "One of these ponies, Twilight I think her name was, has something I want. And I won't let them go until she gives them to me.

"You think I will let you get away with this!" Celestia screamed as her horn started to glow. She rose up and a beam of magic hit the shield. It did nothing."but that was my best shield breaker spell." Celestia said with a dumbfounded look on her face. "What you fail to realize is that this is one of the most perfect spells ever written. Not only does it cancel out any magic trying to move past it, it also absorbs any impact that hits it so essentially the more you try to break it the stronger it gets. Oh and I also forgot to mention that I can retract the shield and convert it into a magical blast of energy using the energy it absorbed. Nothing can break it." Celestia didn't know what to do. Luna could do nothing but stand by and watch along with the guards. "Now go but there is one more thing." Dark Star said as he revealed his large black wings. "You're an alicorn! That's not possible!" Celestia said. Dark star opened his eyes which were now glowing red and a mysterious black smoke was flowing out of them. "YOU COULDN'T  STOP ME BEFORE AND YOU WONT STOP ME THIS TIME." His voice was different but oddly familiar to Celestia. She couldn't figure out why though.

"Twilight! Your time is up! Where is the Alicorn Amulet!'' Everypony was now watching as Twilight and her friends walked out, each of them whering their element of harmony. The smile on Dark Stars face fell. "Are you ready girls!" twilight shouted as they all lifted into the air. Dark Star started to panic as he saw the Cutie Mark Crusaders. He used his horn to grab Scootaloo. "Don't move or I will kill this filly!" He said as he put Scootaloo under his hoof. They all instantly stopped. Everypony was gasping and looking away. Dark Star was breathing heavily and shaking with an angry look on his face. " Just tell him that the Amulet is in the Everfree Forest with zeco-" Sweetie belle accidently blurted out just loud enough for him to here it. A moment of realization flashed on his face as he saw a small hut in the forest on his way to Ponyville. He then smiled and took off towards the forest. Twilight and her friends took off after him.

A large hole opened up on the barrier as dark star flew through it. Only Rainbow Dash was able to get through it before it closed. "Get it Rainbow Dash!" Twilight yelled at dash as she chased him. He looked back with anger in his eyes. Rainbow dash was now smiling. "If there's one thing you can't do its outrun me" Dash said as she sped up. A mach cone was forming around her and BOOM, a sonic rainboom the trees all flew back and Dark Star spun out of control. She reached Zecoras hut "Who enters my ho-"

"Zecora I need the Alicorn Amulet no time for questions, quick!" She then pointed to a box. Dash opened it and picked it up with her mouth. she flew out of Zecoras hut to be greeted by a furious Dark Star "THAT'S MINE"  He said with a frown. Dash took of in the direction towards Ponyville. He took off after her dodging trees and obsticals

They both reached the barrier and dash pulled a sharp turn. As did Dark Star who was gaining on her Another mach cone forming around her. Dark Stars horn was starting to glow. " Oh no you don't!" He teleported in front of her. Dash noticed a corner of a building that had not been covered by the barrier. She thought maybe she could break through it and by some more time. She flew towards it as magic over took the amulet and it slipped out of her mouth. She flew through the corner and the barrier enclosed the gap. As Dark Star collided with the Amulet all the magic held in his horn exploded the barrier protecting Ponyville.

With that the barrier disappeared. Everypony came to the explosion site including the princesses and their gaurds. Dark Stars horn had shattered, making it useless. His wings were damaged and unable to fly and the amulet was split in two. He was surrounded. He thought about making a run for it but that would be futile, he couldn't use magic and he couldn't fly. He was defeated. Blood was now trickling down his face and he was in extreme pain. He looked up at Celestia "well go on do your worst" he said as he passed out."Princess what are you going to do?"Twilight asked as her friends look on."Don't worry my faithful subjects we will deal with him. You go help your friends right now. You all did an excellent job I am very proud of you all." She said as she got on to her carriage and was taken back to Canterlot. He awoke several hours later with bandages on and his wings bound he looked up at Celestia. He was in Canterlot in a cage. "Your crimes are abhorrent and unforgivable I sentence you to exile in the badlands on the outskirts of Equestria. The badlands was the only place worse than the moon. It housed many monstrous creatures and the changlings. "Do you have anything to say for yourself!" Asked Celestia. Dark star shook his head. "take him away!" Luna said but was interrupted by Celestia. She flew next to him."Tell me who you really are." Dark Star looked up eyes glowing red again and the same black smoke flew from his nose as and said "You know exactly who I am." He then smiled was taken away by the guards.

Later that night Celestia was looking out the window in her throne room thinking about what Dark Star had said. "What troubles you sister our problem has been solved?" Luna asked curiously. "I think we made a mistake letting  him live dear sister." "Excuse us are you serious sister!" Luna said with alarm "Yes he is far more dangerous then you could possibly imagine."
