Twilight and her friends have no idea how good they have it. In their Equestria, serious problems are rare, ponies are always willing to make new friends, and everything is perfect. However, when a freak accident occurs during a routine teleportation spell practice run, the Mane 6 are yanked from their scenic home into one that has long since been happy. Crime is rampant, strange technology abounds, and as the small group of ponies finds their way in this bleak, otherworldly dystopia, they must fight against oppression, prejudice, and fear, and find a way back to the land they call home - before this new land molds them into it's own image - all while fighting with and against some familiar acquaintances, as well as their ultimate foils - themselves.
