Twilight Sparkle was busy in her library, writing a quick report back to Celestia. "Dear Princess Celestia, I heard from Spike that you were having a party for Luna's birthday. Sounds like fun!" She quickly sent it off, and went back to reading her book, which she was thoroughly enjoying. The plot was challenging, although she knew it would make sense in the end. Rainbow Dash had just cleared the skies, letting the sun shine through, all across Ponyville. She sighed. "What is up with this?! Why are there always so MANY CLOUDS?" She had been practicing her Sonic Rainboom for an upcoming competition to talk to the Wonderbolts. She had missed her favourite flying group, and was extremely sad she couldn't join. She lived for the thrill of flying. Well, winning, more like it, but she did love flying. Just as she hit another cloud, making it burst into little watery puffs, Pinkie Pie came skipping down the path with a large note in her mouth, rolled into a cylinder and tied with red ribbon. Something important. "DASHIE, MAH BESTIEE!" She was screaming at the top of her lungs. "CELESTIA'S ORGANISED A PARTY FOR LUNA'S BIRTHDAY! HERE'S YOUR INVITATIONNNN!" Dash rolled her eyes. She wasn't really into parties, not as much as Pinkie anyway. "Um... Yeah? Alright..." She mumbled as Pinkie trotted away. Luna's birthday, eh? Well as long as Vinyl Scratch was there with the music, NOT OCTAVIA... She would definitely go and take a look around. Applejack and Apple Bloom were preparing pies and cider, as Soarin happened to be walking by. "Aye there, Soarin. What brings ya here, sugarcube?" Applejack proudly proclaimed in her thick accent. He said that they had been planning a show for Luna's party. "Wow, for such an evil mare like 'er, why are we goin' to all the trouble to celebrate 'er birthday?" Apple Bloom asked. They weren't the most attentive fillies in class, the CMC, and they sure weren't the smartest, either, as Cherilee had explained. They shrugged off Apple Bloom's question and started talking about the show. This was going to be one LONG party, but an exiting one. Author's Note Chapters are short... Ah well. Hope you enjoyed this first chapter! The Perfect Party!Later on everypony started to prepare for Luna's party. Nopony actually knew if LUNA knew about the party, and they assumed she didn't, so they kept quiet anyway. News flys quickly through such a small town. Fluttershy prepared decorations with the help of her animal friends, and the Apple family finished off the food for the night. Pinkie finished delivering invites and as Twilight neared the end of he book. "So the prince gets angry at her sister for calling the bride which ISN'T actually the REAL bride 'evil', and so the princess and the queen fought... Huh?" Just as she got up to get another book, Dash flew straight through her window, making a massive mess. Purple shards of glass were scattered across the floorboards. "RAINBOW DASH! You just BROKE MY WINDOW! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" She yelled as she picked up the pieces with her magic. "I-I need some help picking a.... Dress." Okay then, this was a serious matter. Dash hated dresses, everypony knew that. "Rarity made dresses for everypony, but the one she made for me was really... Well... Girly." He held it up, showing Twi the bright rainbow sequins and the frilly neckline. The back was layered with light, silky blue fabric which had small yellow stars hanging from the bottom. She knew she could fix it up, but she didn't want Rarity to see she had changed it. "I... Don't really like it, Twi. What do I do?" She had seen Applejack break a Pinkie Promise, and Rarity, to be honest, wasn't much different. "You can explain to Rarity, right? She'll understand!" Twi said enthusiastically. She turned her back, looking for another book. Well Twi wasn't being much help. It was the night of the party, and Celestia was in the kitchen baking a large, white cake. She enjoyed cooking, although she wasn't the best at it, it was fun knowing that she could make each dish, and people actually did like it, most if the time. She placed the large cake on a cake stand, just as Cadence walked in with Shining Armor. "Celestia! Everything going well?" Cadence beamed. Celestia nodded, as she stirred the sugar and the egg whites together for the meringue. She was covered in flour, with a few little chocolate stains on her apron, and there was a tiny bit of cake batter in her long mane. "Everything is well dear. This celebration is going to be a great success." Her loud, enchanting voice echoed through the room. You could hear loud and clear hooves on the tiled floor, and then Celestia noticed that it started to rain. "Hm... Cadence, can you get one of the Royal Guards to ask Rainbow Dash to remove this cloud? Its making an awful sound on the roof, dear." She liked to rely on Rainbow Dash to clear the rain clouds. They seemed to disappear quicker than they did when the Royal Guards tried to clear them. Cadence trotted towards the guard station, and talked to the guard there. Celestia wanted everything to be perfect for her sister. And So She Arrived! It was the night of the party. Rainbow Dash decided on a dress, and Rarity helped her customize it to her liking, a short back with straight blue cloth, and a large lightning bolt brooch at the front of her dress. It was white with no sequins, and had a rainbow stripe from her neck to her flank, on both sides of her dress. She wore her Loyalty Element under her neck. Fluttershy and Rarity wore similar dresses, although Fluttershy's dress was less fancy, more natural and delicate, and it was a light shade of green with yellow and pink butterflies around the neck, Rarity's being purple, and having rare gemstones replacing the butterflies. Neither dresses were that comfortable, both the butterflies and the gemstones scratching at the ponies' necks. They also wore their Elements, of which Rarity disliked, they made her gemstones twist and turn on wonky angles. Twilight wore her Gala gown, with her Magic Element tiara, proudly showing off her mane in a neat bun. Applejack and Pinkie Pie were a tad late, Pinkie with a big frilly pink dress that poofed out on the sides, with her Element around her neck. She had brought many sweets with her to share with her friends from Sugarcube Corner. Applejack wore a country outfit, with her trademark hat, covered in large orange gems which were sewn around the sides. Her mane was curly, and she had her hair down, which Rarity and Fluttershy had said looked 'messy'. She thought it looked 'country'. Everyone looked their best, and with Vinyl Scratch and Octavia fighting about who should play the music first, in came Celestia wearing a beautiful white gown covered in purple, aqua and pink stripes, with her long mane tied up into a bun, similar to Twilight's. she had managed to get the batter out of her mane, and had cleaned up the flour pretty quickly. Her tiara sparkled against the brightly lit room. They stood ready, as Princess Luna, Princess Cadence and Shining Armor stepped through the tall doors. Everything fell silent. You could hear Celestia heavily breathing, and a few loud, echoing flaps of wings, but that was all. As Luna stepped onto the cold tiles, her eyes grew wide. She stared at Octavia, who had won the fight against Vinyl for the music, playing 'Happy Birthday' elegantly, with quiet strokes of her bow against the strings. Everypony stared at her, with wide smiles on their faces. Apart from Rainbow Dash, hoping that Vinyl would replace Octavia soon with the music. Pinkie broke the silence as she yelled, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY LUNAAAA! WOO!" extremely loudly, jumping in the air an creating a loud crack as her hooves hit the tiles. "Wha... Sister, is this your doing?" She sounded... Well nopony was sure if she sounded exited, surprised, amazed or even angry. Her voice was almost monotone. "What... What have you done?" Author's Note OHHHHH Maybe Luna doesn't like surprises... I have to keep writing! :D Rainbow Dash's Time To ShineSoarin, Fleetfoot and Spitfire flew around the palace, (the other Wonderbolts, unfortunately, we sick and couldn't attend) looking around and preparing for another show. Spitfire leaded the way, carrying cables and plugs for the special effects. Soarin followed, carrying paint for the new tail ribbons they were experimenting with, which were long, pieces of string ad cloth decorated with paint which were tied to the beginning of the tail, creating a trail of glitter and loose streamers. Fleetfoot attached glowsticks to the other pegasus' necks and hooves, as they were preforming in a dark area, as it was nightime, and it would look nice with a pegasus shaped figure glowing and flying through the air. Rainbow Dash watched them set up a new lighting system. She was no expert, but she had seen Spitfire plug the wrong cable into the wrong input, which could create quite a large explosion if it was turned on. She trotted over there and tapped on the pegasus' shoulder. "U-Um, Ms Spitfire, Miss? Uh, you've plugged the, uh, wrong cable into the, well, wrong input. I-I'm not offending your intelligence in any way, Miss, am I?" She staggered as she spoke to her most favourite pegasus of all time. She didn't want to offend her idol in any way at all. Spitfire looked at the cable and realized her mistake. "Oh. Ha! Thanks for pointing that out, RD. That would've messed up the show quite a bit if ya hadn't spotted that. Good job!" Rainbow Dash blushed and stepped back a little. She was kinda embarrased, but a little happy that her favourite pegasus had praised her. She definitely felt special. "Well, since we have a shortage of Wonderbolts, would you like to be our replacement pegasus, RD?" Rainbow Dash's eyes lit up. But then she remembered something. She ha Pinkie Promised to help Pinkie Pie in the kitchen with tasting some of her new batch of muffins. She badly wanted to fly with the Wonderbolts, though. "I... Uhr... Would love to help you." Spitfire smiled. "We even have a Wonderbolts uniform for you. And some new tail ribbons!" Rainbow Dash sighed. "But... I'll have to pass. My friend wants me to test some cupcakes. I don't want to hurt her feelings if I fly with you guys and let the cupcakes go cold." Rainbow Dash looked at her hooves. "Thank you for giving me the opportunity, though." Celestia watched as Rainbow Dash trotted off to see Pinkie in the kitchen. "Such a loyal one." She whispered. "I indeed value such loyalty towards others. This pegasus was definitely fit to guard the Element of Loyalty." Celestia grinned at Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie in the kitchen, happily sampling cupcakes and decorating them with lollies and edible decorations. And everyone at the party looked happy. Rarity's Time To ShineRarity stood in the middle of a few other ponies, rambling on about designing and proffessional modeling. Rarity happily listened in to Photo Finish and Hoity Toity's conversation, listening about their new designs and newest clothing accesories that they were releasing in their upcoming Autumn show. Rarity loved many of Photo Finish's designs, and she had tried to create many replicas, but none of the replicas or even any of her own designs were ever as beautiful and detailed as Photo Finish's. She had approached her once, only to be told that "Your designs lack love and respect to the fabric of which you made them from. I dislike your sense of fashion". It made her feel slightly nervous every time she made a new design, and although she felt proud about making it, Photo Finish's reaction always made her feel bad when she had thought she did well. She slowly walked up to Hoity Toity. "Excuse me dear, may I talk to Photo Finish for a second?" She asked. Hoity Tooty backed away a little bit, staring at Rarity's gown. "You... Have quite a sense of style there, young pony. You seem to be quite the talented unicorn." Hoity Toity said in a rather slow way. Photo Finish turned her head to the side. "Hm... Are you the same unicorn that I specifically told you to understand and read your designs, following them and perfecting them using all your heart and soul?" Rarity rolled her eyes. "Uh... Yes dear, and I have made another design for you to take a look at." Rarity carefully pulled out a small drafted pattern a photo of a extremely detailed dress out of her bag. The dress was white with clear rhinestones along the edges of the sleeves, and an elaborate, silky back with a thin lace across the bottom. It was an unfinished design, the photo was of a quick, rushed dress that Rarity had made quickly to show a life size picture of her design. "Well, it is certainly better than you last design." Photo Finish said in a dull voice. Rarity sighed. All she wanted was for one of her designs to be modeled. "Um... Do you think it could use some colour? Its an unfin..." Rarity stopped when Photo Finish smiled. "You must know, young unicorn, that things that are simple don't always need to be made to stand out. Simple things stand out on their own, and you design this time does that. It doesn't need colour, because if it isn't broken, why fix it? White is the most versatile colours in the fashion world." Rarity smiled. Did that mean that she liked her design? Was it going to be modeled? "Unlike your other designs, full of contrasting colours and cheap accessories, this I would gladly buy from you. How much do you want it for?" Photo Finish asked. Rarity knew that Photo Finish really wanted her design for her Winter show, and she was willing to pay a price for it. Rarity thought about making her pay a huge amount of money, making her pay for all of her harsh criticism. But then again, all of her harsh criticism had made her newer designs more successful than her older ones. Rarity smiled. "Take it dear. For nothing, I will give you this design. I'm proud of it, and I would like to see what you can make with it." They both smiled. "Rarity, I know that you will one day be as great as me. Maybe not better, but pretty close." Rarity rolled her eyes again. This pony certainly was a handful. She walked off, holding Rarity's design in her hooves. "Thank you, dear. Thank you for helping me create something that I am truly proud of." She walked off, smiling to herself. Celestia stared at Photo and Hoity. They looked happy. "Hm. Rarity guards the Element of Generosity, yes? I guess that means that Photo Finish must've gotten a pretty good deal. She will become a great success at designing, and a generous one at that. I just know it." Author's Note I'm gonna do another Fluttershy chapter, since the last one was crap. I was writing like, REALLY LATE and after I submitted it i was like... Aw this is crap. Sorry. I apologize for any spelling mistakes. If you didn't like the chapter that I wrote for your favourite pony or something, just post a comment and tell me. I'll try to write a more decent one. Luv ya all <3 Pinkie Pie's Time To ShinePrincess Luna walked over Octavia and snatched the cello from her hooves. "That's not how you play a cello! Play with Vinyl, classical and modern mixed together! I'll sound much better!" She said with a big smile on her face. Rainbow Dash's face lit up too, as the Wonderbolts flew up over everyone, holding a banner which was rainbow, with the words, 'Happy Birthday to the Moon Princess' She remembered that time when she was banished to the moon, and she wasn't sure if she should be offended or extremely happy at that moment, until she remembered that she was Princess Luna. Luna. She controlled the moon. Everypony relied on her to raise and bring down the moon, and she discarded her dark side. She and Celestia ruled the skies. And she liked it that way. The food was great. Rarity slowly ate two small apple pies, while also trying to ignore Prince Blueblood who was begging her to blow on his pies so they cooled down quicker, while Applejack was chatting to Soarin and Fleetfoot about the magnificent preformance. Rainbow Dash creepily followed Spitfire wherever she went, followed by Scootaloo, who followed Dash. Twilight Sparkle was talking to her older brother, and it looked like everypony was having a good time. Celestia was a tad worried though. She had over-cooked her meringue, and she knew that meringue with strawberries and cream was Luna's favourite dessert, and she had just stuffed it up. Pinkie Pie smelt burning, and she ran into the kitchen where Celestia stood, staring at her failed meringue. "C-Celestia? Princess Celestia? What happened? D-Don't look so sad! Your making me feel sad too! I wanna see you smile! Everything's going fine!" She said speedily. Pinkie looked around for the problem and saw the meringue. "Oh... I KNOW!" She breathed in, and gathered some ingredients. "Just add a cup of sugar, and then we add the eggs, we whisk it up and make it puff and then we tap our legs!" A large crack echoed through the whole building, and a few ponies kinda freaked out. Its sounded like a whip. "We put into the pan, and flatten it all down. Make a dip in the middle, and then we turn around!" Pinkie sang. Celestia looked puzzled. "Bake it in the oven, make it soft but crunchy, it's gonna be alright, this meringue is gonna be MUNCHY! Now we put the cream, add the strawberries too, place it on the plate, and throw the fail down the loo!" She was hurrying, and she was kinda running out of rhyming words, but Celestia was happy with final result, and she coated it with sifted icing sugar. "Thank-you dear, you're certainly an expert cook, especially with sweets. You wouldn't mind making a batch of cupcakes, would you?" Pinkie smiled. "Okey dokey pokey! No problem!" She ran of into the large pantry to gather ingredients. Celestia was happy she had so many talanted ponies guarding the Elements of Harmony. She laughed to herself. "She definitely represents the Element of Laughter!" Celestia mumbled to herself. Author's Note Yes, I've read Cupcakes, and honestly, I thought Cheerile's Garden was a lot creepier. To me, thats more like what I think Pinkie probably would do. She is a bit, well, you know... Different. Fluttershy's Time To ShineIn the main celebration room, Vinyl Scratch was setting up her equiptment. "Hey Spitfire, can you grab that chord and plug it into that powerpoint on the wall up there?" "Octavia, come over here!" Vinyl said loudly. "What do you want, DJ Pon3? I'm trying to preform 'real music'." "Don't call me that! It makes me sound like an internet abbreviation! And my music is REAL. Yours is just BORING!" "It's not boring! Its called ART. ART I SAY! Scratching a record so it makes a sound is NOT ART!" "IS SO!" "IS NOT!" This went on for quite a while, and after Vinyl set up her gear, Octavia was tired and had to leave. "Now this, THIS is MUSIC." Vinyl proudly said. Octavia just flung her head in the air and walked home. Fluttershy stood by the food, holding Angel in her arms. She looked at Luna, who was standing next to her. "Wow, this food is amazing... Isn't it Princess?" She said quietly. "Yes, but theres no meringue..." Luna said sadly. Just then Pinkie skipped past with a delicious looking batch of cupcakes, iced with bright pink icing. She stood there, looking for a place to put the cupcakes, as she accidentally tripped on the edge of a tile on the floor. She flung face-forward, releasing her grip on the cupcakes to put her hands out in front of her as she fell. Fluttershy freaked out, and dropped Angel as she reached out for the cupcakes, catching them just before they landed straight on Luna. She gasped and threw the cupcakes on the table, and surprisingly they landed pretty neatly. Fluttershy, still unsure of what she had just done, helped Pinkie up off the floor. Luna smiled at the pony. Fluttershy blushed and Pinkie Pie dusted herself off. "Well that was close!" Pinkie Pie and Luna said in sync. Fluttershy still bewildered, picked up a piece of fruit and an apple cider and ran off, with Angel soon following. "I see... So that's why Fluttershy guard the Element of Kindness. She certainly shows it. If only she wasn't so shy, she would be a great Royal Guard," thought Celestia. "This is very interesting indeed." Author's Note Small chapter this time... Ah well again. Sorry for any spelling mistakes, and if you thought Fluttershy was a bit OOC. I honestly don't think she would just DROP Angel for some cupcakes. Fluttershy: The Queen Of FantasiesFluttershy sat on the bench outside, on the balcony. There was an archway covered in roses, leading to a small seat, with flowerpots on both sides. She was still embarrassed about what she did. She didn't know why, but she felt really shy when she talked to others, even her friends tonight. Princess Luna made her even more nervous, as she was a princess, and a powerful one at that. she didn't want herself to be the cause that Luna may not enjoy the nigh as much as Celestia had wished. She held Angel in her arms. "Angel, what if everybody was laughing at me? Do you think I looked weird? They must of thought I was a complete weirdo! Oh, what do I do?" Fluttershy sighed and looked out into the stars. "You know, sometimes I wish the stars could just pick me up and take me to another world, somewhere I could feel comfortable, somewhere where I wouldn't have to worry..." She closed her eyes, relaxing as the cool breeze floated over her muzzle. Her beautiful pink mane flowed in long, thin ribbons, as the mist around the trees in the forest started to move towards her home. The rustling of leaves made her feel comfortable, like she was in a forest, where she belonged. At home, with her animals. She could see all of her animals, sleeping comfortably in their pens in the forest. The balcony gave a wonderful view of Ponyville and Equestria from here.Princess Celestia walked out to the balcony, where Fluttershy sat. Celestia sat next to her, holding her hooves in hers. She spoke. "Fluttershy, is something the matter? Why are you here by yourself? Come inside and enjoy the party, dearest." But Fluttershy didn't want to move. She was stuck in her own fantasy, flying past the clouds and watching the birds glide on their wings, floating through the air with no effort at all. The next minute, her fantasy had taken her into the forest, with the tropical heat and the birds talking. She opened one eye to see Celestia sitting next to her, holding her hooves gently. Fluttershy sighed. "Princess Celestia... I want to fly with the birds, and watch the stars from up close, in the clouds. I want to walk through the forest, and listen to the birds sing. That would... make me feel happy... Just me, by myself, watching the stars as they sparkled... Walking the forest trails...I want to go home, Princess. I want to go to sleep..." Fluttershy slowly closed her eyes, and her whole body relaxed. She fell asleep, And Princess Celestia gently let go of her hooves, letting her sleep with Angel in her lap. "Goodnight, dear Fluttershy. I will organise the Royal Guards to lead you home at dawn." She smiled. "She is such... A beautiful, sensible, elegant pony. The job of a Royal Guard would not suit her at all..." Author's Note Still a short Fluttershy chapter, but I feel this one sounded better that the 'Fluttershy's Time To Shine' one. Sorry if you didn't like it :|

Luv ya all <3
Pinkie Pie's Time To ShinePrincess Luna walked over Octavia and snatched the cello from her hooves.
