One, Twi, Three: Live the dream
Austin, Texas. The sun is rising.
A young girl comes to the kitchen to have some breakfast. Her purple eyes are halfway open, because she just woke up. Her uncombed hair -indigo, with purple and pink streaks- is like a mess, even tho she has wearing a black and purple tee, some faded jeans and red canvas sneakers. As she is having breakfast, she begins to play one of her favourite bands, "Pinn Panelle", on her speaker. The usual everyday routine for Twilight Sparkle, a girl who isn't expecting what would happen to her. Maybe she'll live her last day. Maybe she'll make it big. Maybe she'll face an apocalypsis full of zombies. Whatever. Twilight Sparkle finishes her breakfast, and then she asks herself:
"What if I can make music like Pinn Panelle?"
After washing the dishes, combing her hair and washing her face, Twilight then heads to the living room and opens her laptop. She then thinks:
"What could I search? 'Pinn Panelle live'?"
She then tries searching "Pinn Panelle live" on YouTube. She then picks one of the results, "Pinn Panelle - Face Stealer (Live)". While watching the video, she explores the way the band members play the song in question. This interests Twilight, who then goes to watch "Skrillex - Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites (Live Cover by Pinn Panelle)".
Twilight is amazed by the bassist's unusual yet acclaimed skills. She then starts looking for the bassist's name: Nathan Navarro. Upon searching "Nathan Navarro", she explores the world of the "Dubstep Bass". Looking for his video catalog, she encounters a picture of the bassist (in black and white and inverted) along with an orange skull with the word "Mukatu" over the skull. She clicks that picture, and she starts listening to "Nathan Navarro - Chemical (Mukatu Remix). Upon hearing it from start to finish, she then begins to search "Mukatu", and then goes to that "Dubstep Guitar Demo by Mukatu". Amazed by how it sounds, she begins to tell herself:
"If these guys can do it, why can't I?"
Twilight Sparkle then thinks:
"If I want to play like these guys, I need something to start with... That's it. I'll take guitar lessons."
Determined, she researches about the prices for the lessons. It happens that an affordable beginner guitar lesson takes place the next week. The site for the guitar lesson is fairly close from home. Twilight thinks that:
"There should be no problem. I'll check it out."
Twilight gets ready, and then exits the house.
On her way to her destination, Twilight encounters her neighbour Applejack, a blond, green eyed Texan -who is wearing an orange hoodie, faded jeans and black sneakers- who lives next by Twilight Sparkle.
"Hi, Jackie!" Twilight says.
"Howdy, Twi! Where are you going now?" Applejack answers.
"Turns out that I'm going to take guitar lessons."
"Are you kidding me? Guitar lessons? Wow..." Answered a surprised Applejack
"Yup, starting next week." Twilight said.
"That sounds crazy. Why?" Applejack was curious.
"Because in the morning, I was watching a band play live. The bassist was cool, so I went to check him out, and discovered 'Mukatu' who happens to be a dubstep guitarrist. He's pretty cool, you should check him out." Twilight explained.
"And you decided to join their club, right?" Applejack was just curious.
"No doubt. Anyways, I should get going." Twilight decides to leave.
"Oh, OK. We get to talk later." Appejack answered.
"No problem, Applejack. Bye!" Said Twilight
"See ya later, Twi!" Applejack is ready to leave.
Then each other took different routes. Applejack heads home, and Twilight heads midtown.
Twilight arrives at her destination. It was a fairly long walk. From home to mid town. She enters the place for the lessons to register for the guitar lessons. Twilight is recieved by a young man, with blonde beard and hair, and black glasses. She learns that the lessons cost 30 dollars, so she pays 30 dollars without a doubt.
Twilight says "I'm registering for the guitar lessons."
"Oh, I see. So, your name is Tamara Sparx, right?" says the young man.
"Yup. You can call me Twilight Sparkle, or Twi for short." She introduced herself.
After a while, Twilight Sparkle is successfully registered for the beginner guitar lesson that will take place next week. They say goodbye to each other, then Twilight leaves, satisfied.
On her way back home, Twilight finds Rainbow Dash, a New York-born girl with rainbow-colored hair -who is wearing a teal hoodie, denim shorts and white sneakers-.
"Oh Hi, Twi!" says Dash.
"Hello, Rainbow Dash! As you can see, I'm heading back home." Twilight answered.
"Applejack told me that you'll be taking guitar lessons, right?" RD Asked. "Well, if that happens to be true, that's awesome."
"It indeed is true, I'll take guitar lessons. Next week, tho."
"That's impressive, sis. Anyways, you can buy those acoustic guitars on that store round the corner. Awesome guitars for just $20, fella."
Surprised, Twilight says: "Whoa, 20 bucks? That's pretty awesome."
"Anyways, I'm not bothering you anymore. Feel free to roam home if you please."
"No problem, Dash. I'm out of here. Bye, Dash!"
"Bye, Twi! Good luck with yer lessons!"
"Thanks!" And they took different paths.
Back home, Twilight Sparkle sets a reminder on her phone -which looks much like a modern PDA- for tomorrow at midday, a time that Twilight considers appropiate. The reminder is about buying a guitar for the guitar lessons.
After setting the reminder, Twilight goes to the kitchen, and has her usual lunch. Today, she's lunching sushi. As for the drink, it's nothing but a simple apple juice. After the lunch, the day was just like an usual day, just that Twilight was excited to start playing guitar. After brushing her teeth, she starts watching an episode of the show Transformers on her laptop. Twilight thinks :
"I can't wait. I trully can't wait to play the guitar. I want to be like Pinn Panelle, or Nathan Navarro, or Mukatu. I want to be in their club, man. Awesome guys right there.".
She's enjoying the show's episodes. She's a happy, excited girl. She wants to be in the same group as Pinn Panelle, Nathan Navarro and Mukatu, and she wants to be a forward-thinking musician like these guys. The journey begins with the guitar lessons, but it's possible that it could bring obstacles to Twi. Still, she knows that she will make it big. She wants to make it big. It only takes time, practice, and determination to become someone like Twilight's idols. She will dream big, she will make it to the big leagues, she will live the dream.
