Something Only You Can Do
"I'll see you all on Monday!" Cheerilee smiled as the bell rang, signaling the end of the school day. There was a massive stampede as almost all of the students rushed out of the building to begin their weekend, the only pony left besides Cheerilee was a grey unicorn with a blonde mane.
"Ms. Cheerilee?" The filly spoke up, quickly grabbing the older pony's attention.
"Dinky? Is everything okay?"
"Have you heard anything about Twist? She hasn't been to school in over a month, and I'm worried." Dinky said with a look of concern in her eyes. Cheerilee pondered the question for a minute, she indeed knew why Twist hadn't been in school, however she wasn't at liberty to discuss why.
"I'm not too sure, have you tried asking her yourself?" the purple mare decided was the best question. At her question Dinky blushed before admitting that she didn't know where the white pony lived, after all they always played at Dinky's house. "Why don't you try asking Applebloom if she knows anything, she's Twist's friend, right?"
Dinky lit up at this news, she'd failed to think that anypony besides cheerilee would know what's wrong. With a quick word of thanks Dinky grabed her saddlebags and quickly dashed out the door to find the cutie mark crusaders.
"Dinky? What are you doing at Sweet Apple Acres?" Applebloom asked as her out of breath classmate hobbled over to her, it took the unicorn a moment to recover from running all over Ponyville before finally asking, "Do you know why Twist hasn't been in class?"
"Nope, been too busy with crusading and chores to go check on her. Do you know what's happened?" the yellow filly replied as she began to drag the nearest apple filled barrel towards the barn.
"Actually, I was just about to check on her. You wanna come with?" Dinky nodded towards Ponyville.
"Ah can't, ah got chores, remember? But I promise to check on her later. Crusader's honor." Applebloom said saluting the unicorn.
"You do know where she lives right?" Dinky asked cocking an eyebrow.
"Of course, the white house near sugarcube corner. Why?" The confused farming filly replied.
"Just making sure." Dinky flawlessly lied, "I'm going to go check on her. See you later Applebloom."
