I stared, my jaw hanging open at the guy standing in front of me. I couldn't believe that he was real, and he was here. Still, something about the way he was dressed, it was unnerving. Especially considering the fact that he was a lot taller than I am. Somewhere around six feet tall.

"Uh, n-nice to meet you?" I said, unsure of what was going on.

"You're Alan, correct?" He asked, a sound of authority clinging to his voice with a vice grip.

"Um, y-yes? Why are you here?" I asked.

"Well, I was getting to that. Some guys at this place called the TRI said they had sent a guy through a portal and he had yet to come back after about a week or so. So I offered to go get him. They said his name was Alan. So, I'm here to bring you back." he said, showing now emotion whatsoever.

"B-but, I can't leave. I have a life here now. I'll admit, it's kind of hectic, but it's better than the life I had!" I said, beginning to freak out.

"I'm sorry, but I'm being paid a lot of money to bring you back, and I can't take no for an answer." Conner said.

"Well I'M sorry, because you're going to have to go back empty handed!" I said turning to leave.

"Wait, how about this, I'll give you a week, if you change your mind by then, then I'll leave and you will never see me again. But if you do change your mind, you have to promise to come back without a fuss." he said.

I turned and looked at him, knowing full well that by the end of this week, I would still want to stay. There was no way I was going to abandon Applejack, Rarity, Dash, Luna, and Celestia. Although Celestia probably wouldn't be too much of a herd mate considering she would be spending most of her time running Equestria. And to be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if this guy wanted to stay here as well. This place was far better. No war, no poor, and there's always food. This place was a utopia.

"Fine, but I can guarantee that I will not be leaving." I told him.

"I understand. Celestia, if you don't mind, I'll be taking my leave." Conner said.

"You may go, remember, as long as you're here, you may stay at the castle and I'm giving you full access to all our facilities, even the kitchen." she replied.

"Thank you." he said as he left.

"So Alan, about that date?" Luna said. after the door had finally closed.

"Date?" Celestia asked looking down at me.

"Ah." I said, smiling. "Celestia, you see I'm planning on taking Luna out on a date. I'm going to take her to see the Canterlot Orchestra. And Twilight and I came up with the idea that we could disguise her as a normal pony, so we wouldn't attract attention." I explained.

"Sounds like fun, only one problem with your plan however. How are you going to disguise yourself. I can't imagine the townsponies took it too well when they met you?" she said, smiling.

"Oh, I see what your getting at. Hmmm...well, would it be possible to make me look like a pony for the time being, at least until the date is over?" I asked.

"It can be done, but considering you are human, and have never been a pony before, we will also need to give you a cutie mark as well. What is it you are good at?" she asked.

"Well I'm good at a lot of things, but primarily math and science." I replied.

"Hmm, math I'm not so sure about, but a science cutie mark should be easy to make. When do you two plan on leaving?"

"I was thinking in about an hour or so." I replied.

"Well, then in about a half an hour I will have you come back in here and I will cast the spell on you, Luna can do her own as I'm sure she knows the spell, right?" she asked.

"Of course sister." she replied.

"Good, why don't you two go talk for a while."

"Alright."

We walked around and talked after having left the study. Today had become quite the stressful day, and i honestly could use some classical music to make me feel more at ease. As we talked, the topic moved from how I was liking Equestria to what it was like to be on earth. I explained as much as I could, which was quite a lot, to her. She found it quite intriguing, and she in turn told me about the founding of Equestria, which I had to say was quite the story. Eventually however, that time came around in which we had to return to the study, and to be honest, I was both curious and worried about my becoming a pony for a day.

"So, are you ready?" Celestia asked, the spell ready to go.

"No, but lets get this over with." I said.

She cast the spell and I felt my body start to change. I felt my organs reshape and rearrange. I also felt my bones change in size, shape and length as I started growing fur all over my body. I didn't realize it until I looked, but my clothes were changing with me, turning into the same brown fur. When it was done, I was standing on all fours and I was significantly shorter than before. I lifted a hoof and examined it. It was just like the others. That's when I felt them, the wings. I had wings! I looked back and took a look at them, flexing them and flapping them.

"I suggest you don't try to fly. You do not know how and I would hate for there to be an accident and have the rest of our herd angry and upset." Celestia warned.

I nodded and looked over at Luna, who was now shorter as well, but only by a little bit. She was a significantly lighter shade of blue and her mane was lighter as well, and not so ethereal as before. And her cutie mark had changed, showing not a crescent moon, but a large yellow star. I looked at my own flank to find a beaker cutie mark, filled with a green liquid. I smiled and looked back at her.

"For this date, I will be going as Starbright." Luna said smiling.

"Wait, what about me? Don't I need a name?" I asked.

"No, your fine. Luna has to change hers so nopony knows she's royalty." Celestia explained. Man, I should've been able to guess that. I swear, I was a bit dumber as a stallion.

"Well you two are ready. Let me know how it goes." Celestia said as we trotted out the door, tripping over my hooves.

Tonight was going to be fun.
