Princess Twilight sends Discord to check on rumors of King Sombra's ghost that has been flying around the Crystal Empire is a means to prove his trust. Upon arrival in the city, he is met by Chrysalis. She offers him the choice to turn back to evil. He is resistant at first, but is eventually coerced into joining her. They resurrect King Sombra, and Sombra assumes control over them! Then he moves on to take over Equestria!
Twilight comes to stop him, but doesn't wait on her friends to help her. In the end, she too falls under his control.
Can Rarity, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, and Pinkie save their friend? And ultimately, all of equestria?
