Load Full StoryI was beginning to think she wasn't going to turn up, Cal wasn't the type of person who would miss out on such an opportunity. There was just me and two others standing on the platform, the next train was due in six minutes, I could hear them discussing what a wonderful night they had. I glanced down at my watch, "2:47 AM," I said to myself, giving it a few taps. I guess it's probably broken, I wasn't surprised either, considering the fact I bought it from a second hand store.
I heard her footsteps drawing closer, "Right on time," I said, looking at the schedule.
As I glanced up from tinkering with my watch, I was momentarily puzzled by what I saw. There was nobody coming towards me, yet I could still here the footsteps drawing closer. The seemed to come to an immediate halt directly in front of me.
The sudden blast of wind from the tunnel ahead meant that the train was arriving, I quickly shook off what had just happened, it was probably my mind playing tricks on me again. I remained seated until it came to a stop, something caught my eye as I made my way to the doors. "Where did those people go?" I thought to myself.
The warning alarm echoed through the subway station
