We don't want to be late for Princess Celestia's formal meeting!" Twilight shouted to the others while galloping hurriedly over a creaky wooden bridge to Canterlot, her hometown.       "But Twi, it doesn't start till an hour an' a half! How late can we possibly be?!" Applejack replied through the sound of hooves tapping on wood. The purple mare didn't reply, but continued to gallp faster than ever. She screeched to a stop abruptly at the entrance to the Royal Court.        "Oh! Twilight! You've arrived quite quickly. The meeting doesn't start until an hour!"        " Hhhuh! Oh no! I was late! Oh I'm so sorrrryyyy!!" the lavender unicorn gasped. Her friends shot her a look that clearly screamed 'Are you serious?!'. The princess smiled warmly.         "You and your friends can stay in a room for the time being, Twilight," the milky alicorn said. And with that, Princess Celestia trotted off elegantly.        "Oh, my. Look at her poise! And her manners and voice were perfect and princessy too!" Rarity exclaimed in an admiring tone. The others shot her a glance and quickly turned back, rolling their eyes while smiling faintly. They then searched for a room respectively. Applejack had found one with mostly apples and green inside, RD, well, rainbow, and so on. ach of the ponies had found a room that suited their nature and hobbies perfectly. Has Twilight Sparkle and her friends arrived yet? If no, they will be punished, won't they? This meeting is very important to all citizens of Equestria." Princess Luna said seriously. The sun goddess sighed.              "Luna! You know very well that we princesses are not petty. We do not let them have a trip to the moon because of that! When will you ever learn from your big sister, Luna?"              "THOU SHALT SPEAK TO ME IN A KIND AND REFINED MANNER, PRINCESS CELESTIA!" she roared, her eyes flashing and her mane flying about. The white alicorn giggled. She was just teasing Luna!                "Hee hee hee! Luna, I was just teasing you! Oh, you're so cute when you're angry! Hahaha!" Her little sister blushed, but regained her composure.                 "But sister, really, have the Elements of Harmony arrived yet? As I said, this meeting is very impor-"                  "Yes, they have, and you need not repeat what you said. I have let them stay in the rooms for a while till the meeting starts." Princess Celestia told her firmly. Suddenly......                  "THE MEETING IS ABOUT TO START! PRINCESSES AND CITIZENS, PLEASE MAKE YOUR WAY TO THE COURT! I REPEAT, MAKE YOUR WAY TO THE COURT, NOW!"                  "Tia, let's hurry! Princess Cadence will be waiting for us at her throne in the royal court!" the dark blue princess said.  mongol                  "What kept you so long? It practically already started!" Cadence exclaimed indignantly. She rolled her eyes as the other two princesses sat on their respective thrones and did not say a thing. Celestia smiled warmly as she spotted Twilight and co in the crowd, and the unicorn smiled back(though a bit nervously).                 "Ahem." The crowd went silent at the sun goddess' throat clearing. "We are gathered here today to discuss an important matter. We have decided-" there was a pause. "-that there be a new princess." The crowd started murmuring.                "New princess?"                "What for?                "Yay! We're meeting a new princess?! OHMIGOSH OMIGOSH OMIGOSH!!!!!!"                "Technically, we aren't 'meeting' her. We are choosing her from all the mares that are here in the Royal Court."                "WHAT?!!!!!" //-------------------------------------------------------// The shock //-------------------------------------------------------// The shock                "WHAT DO YOU WANT WITH MY WIFE?!" the stallions shouted. That was evil! The mares were looking very scared indeed and clinged on to their husbands. Would they have to go through enduring tasks? Princess Celestia may be kindhearted and motherly, but...               "HOW DARE THOU SPEAK TO THOU PRINCESS LIKE THAT! ESPECIALLY WHEN THOU ART STALLIONS! THOU ART PRACTICALLY ABUSING HER!" Luna roared louder than when the two were at the royal chambers.               "It's alright, Luna. I can deal with this."               "But sister..."               "No buts, Luna. I told you a can handle this on my own. A princess may be stern, but cannot show anger. Remember that if you want them to acknowledge you as their princess. MARES AND GENTLECOLTS! ATTENTION PLEASE!"              "They aren't 'gentle' right now, Tia.."              "Princess Luna of Equestria, one more time and out you go!" Celestia declared to her sister firmly. Luna pouted and kept silent. "As I was saying, we just decide which mare to occupy my place when I am out. We pick them by how refined, kindhearted and gentle they are. We also pick one by how they are not afraid of toll and boring meetings. That's all."              "That sounds good. What about it, honey?"              "Hmm...I'm still not convinced."              "If you are so stupid as to refuse this generous offer, THEN GET YOUR ASSES OUT OF HERE!" the princess of love exclaimed. Everypony gasped. That was so unproper for a princess! Even Celestia and Luna were stunned, but none was more shocked than Twilight.              "I-I have been with Cadence for so long, I didn't know she had a dark side! She just looked perfect, I don't..." Twilight collapsed to the ground.
