//-------------------------------------------------------// Mystery Box -by dragonridergoku- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Informative //-------------------------------------------------------// Informative Hello everyone, I have decided to try something new.  I want to see what will happen when I let the readers of this story be the ones to write the new chapters.  I will supply an extra chapter of my own here and there, but I really want to see what would happen if I let the fans all work together on the same fiction. The rules are simple: To send in a chapter, write it in a word processing software and email it to me at my friend’s email, evilcupcake48@gmail.com You must connect your chapter to the previous one in some way shape or form. You may add new main characters, but they must be given a character or they will likely be far off from your head cannon. There must always be a main character. You must follow all cannon stated in the story. Story must remain in relation to My Little Pony in some way shape or form. Your chapter must be over 1000 words. There, now that we have some ground rules, let’s go over details.  I will be reading all submitted chapters and will give full credit to the author of the chapter I pick.  I will choose the chapter I think is the best and will put it up at the end of the week.  You have until Friday/early Saturday to send in chapters.  This is according to Eastern Standard Time in America.  Send the name you want me to call you as well so credit can be given.  I will write the occasional chapter to add in, but most writing will be left to your creative minds.  I bid thee farewell, the United Empire of New Rome shall reign supreme.  All hail the Mystery Box. //-------------------------------------------------------// Pinkie's Box //-------------------------------------------------------// Pinkie's Box Twilight Sparkle was enjoying the nice sunny day in Ponyville.  Rainbow Dash had gotten up early and cleared the skies for once.  All the townsfolk were milling around doing their daily business and just plain having a good time.  This was one of the rare occasions when Twilight had finished her daily checklist and had already planned ahead for the week.  Since she had nothing better to do, Twilight decided to head over to Sugarcube Corner for something to snack on.  Plus it was always interesting to visit Pinkie while there was nothing else going on. When she entered the sweets shop, Twilight instantly stopped in her tracks.  The place was a mess of frosting and various candies covering the walls and even the ceiling.  All of the assorted pastries behind the counter had parts of them smeared on the glass.  Some foods appeared to have exploded.  Pinkie was sitting in a corner staring intently into a box of some sort.  The oddest thing, however, was the amount of sugar bags Pinkie was using as a seat.  There were twenty of the things at least. “Pinkie,” Twilight asked as she slowly stepped around the puddles of cake batter dotting the floor, “what happened in here?” “Oh, Twilight, I didn’t hear you come in.  Sorry about the mess, I should clean it up but this box is just so interesting.  I’m not quite sure where it came from, but it has all sorts of cool things inside it.” “Well, if you’re busy I can come back some other time.” “No Twilight, I’m always available for a friend in need.  What did you want?  A cupcake, a bag of cookies, some candy, what?” “Well, I was really just looking for someone to talk to and decided to come get something to eat here.  I suppose a cupcake will do.” “Okie dokie lokie, one cupcake coming right up.  Would you like one of our new rainbow cupcakes?” “Sure Pinkie, that sounds fine.  Where exactly are they?  I can’t see anything on display that doesn’t look like part of it is on the wall.” “That’s the best part of this box.  It has everything in it, and I mean everything.  All I have to do is reach in and ask for something and I get it.  It’s really fun.” “How does that work?” “I don’t know, it just does.  I try not to look into these things, that would be stealing your job and no pony likes a stealer.” “Well then, show me how it works.” “Yes sirree, one cupcake coming right up.” Pinkie then put a hoof into the box and seemed to rummage around a bit before she pulled out a cupcake with the frosting a perfect rainbow of colors.  It looked as if it could have blended in with Rainbow Dash’s mane.  Twilight took the cupcake before she trotted up to the box.  She had to climb Pinkie’s tower of sugar to look into the box and when she did her eyes widened and her jaw dropped. The box contained what appeared to be an entire landscape of rolling hills and flowing rivers.  It was an exact replica of the area just beyond Ponyville besides one main difference.  The fact that the entire landscape was made out of sweets.  The grass seemed to be made from licorice and the trees were giant lollipops and candy canes.  The river seemed to be chocolate while the clouds were a rich pink cotton candy that would have made Discord proud.  There were gummy bears wandering around while chocolate bunnies hopped in fields of peppermint flowers.  There were small chickens seemingly made out of marshmallows covered in sugar.  Then there was the rock candy ponies wandering through the area.  They were of various shades just like the ponies of Ponyville and all seemed as if they had no cares in the world. Pinkie took a peek into the box and then turned her head towards Twilight’s shocked expression.  She looked between two for a few seconds before she reached into the box and pulled out an old text book.  She waved this in front of Twilight’s face for a while before the purple unicorn started blinking and took the book from the pink mare. “Pinkie, is this The History of the Lunar Republic volume 3?” The unicorn asked as she skimmed through the middle of the book. “That’s what the cover says silly.  You didn’t need to ask me that.” “Where did you get this?  The only copy I know of is the one in the Canterlot library.” “It was in the box.  Didn’t I tell you it had everything in it?  I think it has a mind of its own.  It always knows just what I want when I want it.” “But when I looked in it was just a field m-made of c-c-candy.” Twilight stated as her eyes shrunk with realization of what she had been looking at moments before.  “How can it contain an entire world of candy?  It’s way too small to hold that.  What is this thing Pinkie?” “Why do you keep asking that Twilight, I’ve already told you it’s a box filled with anything you can imagine.” “You know what, I don’t care anymore.  I think I’ll just take this cupcake and go home.  I need a nap.” “Okie dokie lokie, see you later Twilight.” At that, Twilight walked out the door as the hyperactive pony reached into the box and pulled out a white lab coat and a mask and put them on. “I guess I’ll have to go help out at the factory since Dashie’s gotta take some time off.  Now where did I put the artificial wings?” Twilight reached the library after a short walk.  She used her magic to open the door and once more stared in shock as she noticed the large box at the far end of the room.  Her gulp was audible as she looked behind her to see Pinkie flying away on fake wings. "I must be dreaming.  This is too weird." She slowly walked towards the mystery box and climbed up to open the lid.  She cautiously lifted the lid off and peered into the large box.  Upon seeing its contents, she gasped.
