Hunter, a lone dragon hunter with his companion: Scout the phoenix, accidently injures a fellow pony. They then realize that the pony is much more than they expect to stumble upon. Together, the trio embarks upon a journey to discover their true destiny.

This story is a prequel to The Crystal Vanguard which focuses on Terra's past way before she founded the crystal empire (when she was a filleh)

There is a slight reference to The Heart of a Dragon because Terra in both here and there are Celestia's daughter.

Could potentially be a crossover since it twines with the crystal vanguard.
