It’s a beautiful day in Ponyville. Everypony is out and about doing their thing. Almost every pony. It seems Midnight is still inside. Sleeping. Yeah you could say he loves sleep. When he’s bored, he sleeps. When he doesn’t have anything to do, he sleeps. It’s kind of his thing. Well as everypony was out playing and having fun, Midnight was sleeping. Then came the time when he woke up.
He walked outside of his house. It was nighttime. “Why, every time I oversleep.” Midnight said, frustrated. Midnight sat down. RUSTLE RUSTLE. Midnight looked up. What was that? RUSTLE RUSTLE. At this point Midnight got up. He slowly walked over to the bushes, where he thought he heard the noise. He opened the bushes up. Inside was a…white rabbit? That’s it? I got worked up over a rabbit. He started hopping off. Midnight turned, and then stopped.
He turned back towards the rabbit. The rabbit was…wearing a waistcoat. This was no ordinary rabbit. This was an extraordinary rabbit. Midnight trotted after it. Into… the Everfree Forest. The rabbit stopped. He pulled out a pocket watch. “Oh dear! I’m late, I’m late, I’m late! Goodness, the duchess will have my head for sure!” he said as he scampered on.
Great. Not only does he wear a waistcoat, but he can talk too. I followed him to the base of a tree. Something about this tree was strangely familiar. He walked up to it and on the trunk, a heart was carved into it. SLIP! WHAT THE HECK!? Now he should have stopped in like three seconds, but he kept going. "What the, you know what I don,t even know what to say." Midnight said. He fell and he feel and he feel. He fell for a couple more hours and then decided to look around, to see how far he's fallen. 'Now take Latitude and Longitude and- I don't even know where latitude and longitude are.' Midnight thought. At one point after all this falling, Midnight found a bottle marked 'APPLE CIDER' but to his great disappointment it was empty.
As he was falling by, he set the jar in a cupboard, in fear that if he dropped it it would hit somepony below. After another hour or two, Midnight was feeling rather sleepy. "Don't fall asleep, don't fall asleep.' but as per usual, he closed his eyes and drifted off. In his dream he saw a fantastic... food platter. It was all he liked from fruits to sweets. Sadly as he was about to dig in, he had reached the bottom of the hole and woke up. "Pony-feathers"he cursed, but quickly covered his mouth. "Oops." HE got up from the floor, or what seemed like the floor, and trotted slowly down a scarcely lit hallway. He soon came upon a circular room with doors all the way around ending on both sides to a large, red curtain. The room was empty, but when he blinked, a little glass table with a key on top appeared out of nowhere. So, of course,took the key and put it in every lock. It fit no door and Midnight was sad. But he noticed behind the red curtain, there was a small door. One that maybe a dog may be able to go through, nothing bigger. Midnight was a pony, bigger than a dog. Midnight turned around to face the table to find that a glass bottle, which had never been there before, on the table.
The bottle was labeled 'DRINK ME' and he had learned that you don't just drink things whenever you want. He checked the bottle thoroughly to see if it was marked poison. He could not find 'Poison' anywhere, but wasn't sure about it. He opened it and took one little sip. It tasted like...chocolate? No, pie. OK it appears that it tasted like a whole bunch of sweet stuff, so Midnight finished the drink. Now back to the-

Midnight shot down to the size of a mouse. "Oh dear goodness," He said "What is going on?" Midnight looked back at the door and smiled. He could finally fit through the door without a problem. He walked over, but to his great disappointment, relocked itself. Midnight sat down and thought to himself. 'If I left the key on the table and I'm to short to reach it, them maybe there is something that will make me grow and I can get the key and unlock the door so I can see what lies behind it.' He thought. He looked around the room for an hour or so when he stumbled across a chest. It was never there before. He had already checked the entire room he would have remembered seeing it.
Midnight slowly opened the chest to find that inside, there were little pastry's with the words 'EAT ME' on them. Midnight picked one up and smelled it. It smelled like a regular pastry. He took a little nibble. It sure tasted-

Midnight's head soon touched the ceiling. Imagine what would have happened if he ate the entire thing. He looked at the key. Bingo. he snatched it up. He could now go through the door. He- couldn't find the glass bottle. Midnight felt really sad at that moment. He grew bigger, he got the key, but couldn't find the glass bottle. His plan had failed at the last moment. He sat down in more thought and began to cry. He had fallen down a long rabbit hole. He had done the first two steps of his plan. He could not go through the little door. He could not get home.
He had come so far. Midnight wanted to go home. He wanted to at least find the glass bottle. He cried for a long time. He wanted to get out of the room. What he didn't know is that the tears he shed, became a small pool.
