Chapter 1

Vinyl woke up, surprised by the lack of a hangover, she was still settling into her new life with her marefriend, Octavia Philharmonica.

The blossoming relationship between the "most magically musical pair in all of Equestria," as Vinyl's friend and former roommate, Berry Punch, liked to tease them, had escalated quickly. In only a few short months, Octavia had successfully helped her lover drop her various addictions to alcohol and illegal drugs, convinced Vinyl to move in with her at Canterlot, leaving her flat with Berry Punch and all the bad she had encountered in Ponyville, despite it being the nicest little town ever, and was able to get Vinyl to make peace with her sister, a certain, well-known, sky blue coated, and rainbow-maned Pegasus. Vinyl noticed that with all the stresses of moving, she had forgotten to properly thank Octavia for all she had done for her. Vinyl really loved this gray, dark haired cellist, like, REALLY loved her, granted their first meeting wasn't technically romantic, Vinyl found it so entertaining. The way Octavia reacted when she woke up that blurred morning to find her (at the time) new friend, whom she had met only a few hours beforehand, asleep between her legs, on her most personal area. Vinyl really got a laugh at the scream that woke her that fateful morning, not so much the chin slammed hard into her forehead.

Vinyl shot a glance at the alarm clock, 7:00 a.m. sharp. Although she was used to waking up at 2 or 3 in the afternoon, she had taken a recent doctoral leave due to a fairly bad cold she caught from somepony who coughed a little too close for comfort.

Vinyl took a moment to be thankful that the newly found human-pony relationship had grown to a point where it wasn't uncommon to see humans and ponies walking the streets of Equestria, or the strange alien planet it appeared on after the newly crowned Princess Twilight's spell went a little askew, Earth, together in pairs or larger groups. Vinyl was especially thankful for the trade and training the humans gave, technology.

This new golden/industrial age of Equestria was certainly plenty of inspiration for Vinyl's music, formerly called 'wub' on Equestria (when it was still JUST Equestria) she met some human DJs with strange names that told her their name for the electronic, bass-induced, seductive tones, 'Dub-step' she thought, 'huh, I think I want to collaborate with that one guy with the big mask, Deadmouse? No, no, no, deadmau5? Yeah, that sounds right, I bet he'd love my new scratches,'

With her lost in her thoughts, she hadn't even noticed that her bed partner had risen from her graceful looking slumber.

"Good morning, love." Octavia said with a yawn, "You know what time it is?" she said with a smile, seeing her marefriend sitting at the edge of their bed. Vinyl suddenly snapped from her wandering thoughts, seemingly confused.

"Wh... Huh?" Vinyl spat out, kind of absently.

"I said, do you know what time it is?"

Vinyl searched her thoughts, "Umm, 7 o' clock?" she finally guessed.

Octavia looked at her disappointedly, "Well, I was hoping you'd remember it's the seventh anniversary, down to the very minute, I might add, that you and I decided we'd give this whole dating thing a try." she said with a slight pout.

Vinyl had realized why she had the initial thought of their first meeting and quickly reacted to try and repair the situation while there was a chance, "Tavi, babe, of course I remember! I was simply trying to decide on some special surprise to give you, I'm sorry." looking apologetic, the DJ pony thought to herself, 'Smooth Scratch, smooth.'

Octavia's expression changed from one of cute, playful anger to one of a softer emotion, she quickly grabbed her marefriend and gave her a tight squeeze, almost taking the DJ's balance, and buried her face in the electric blue mane of her lover and said, "Baby, I was just teasing, you know I don't mind a little forgetfulness, I mean it's not even that important, I love you,"

Vinyl returned the kiss before telling her marefriend, "I love you too, Tavi." Vinyl had a thought, "Hey, Tavi, how about I make you a nice romantic breakfast-in-bed?"

"Well Vinyl! That sounds wonderful babe! Thank you!" Octavia didn't mean to put so much enthusiasm into her reply.

"Great! It's settled then, you just sit here and relax, and I'll be back before you know it!" The excited DJ trotted out the door, shutting it gingerly with her unicorn magic. Octavia thought now would be a good time to pretty herself up for her loving marefriend, so she trotted over to her closet to find a cute little outfit to wear for the day, settling on her usual bowtie.

Just below, on the first floor of Octavia's large, luxurious, three story house, Vinyl Scratch was busy as Tartarus trying to prepare the perfect morning meal for her lover, getting acquainted with the large house was easily the hardest part of the move for her, she thought to herself, 'Damn, Tavi, how in the hay do you know where everything is!?'

Octavia had gone through her usual morning routine, showering, brushing her teeth, and brushing her mane before retreating back to her bed, she could hear hoofsteps leading up her staircase and eagerly awaited her meal, when Scratch opened the door with her unicorn magic, a scent hit Octavia that would drive anypony mad with desire, the smell of eggs, tofu bacon (an import from the human world) and pancakes nearly overtook Octavia, as she had a slight soft spot for deliciously prepared food. Scratch sauntered in with a confident look on her face,

"Octavia Philharmonica, I do believe that this meal may very well be the best you ever had, what with all the work I put into it." The DJ pony said with a slight chuckle at the end.

"Well Scratch, it simply smells delectable!" The prissy pony said with maybe a little too much enthusiasm in her voice, yet again, "Ahem, pardon me." she said, the two mares shared a laugh.

` Vinyl laid the tasty looking spread out for her and her mare to share, "Shall we?" the DJ pony said, "subtly" mocking Octavia's high-and-mighty Canterlot voice. "We shall," Octavia said as she glared at the white mare.

"Then let's dig in!!" Vinyl said before shoveling a mouthful of pancake into her mouth.

Alright guys, here it is, my first fic. I know this chapter is a little anticlimactic, but there's much more to come in the second chapter. I'm a little new to this whole writing thing, but I couldn't resist the temptation. Please be nice!!! Hope you enjoy!!!

Chapter 2

Vinyl had handled clean up after the two mares shared their seven month anniversary breakfast in bed, she didn't mind though, the large, satisfied smile on Octavia's face had been payback enough. Sweet Celestia did Scratch love that smile, she loved it ever since she first saw it on one of her more...ahem..."intimate" visits to Tavi's house when she still lived in Ponyville. The smile that says it all, Octavia is happy, which made Vinyl Scratch happy, VERY happy. She had really grown to care for her marefriend a great deal, so much so that Vinyl did almost everything she could, even if it meant possible harm to Scratch, to please the prissy pony, there was just something in the way that Octavia carried herself that drove the DJ pony mad with love.

Octavia entered the room while Scratch was still lost in her thoughts, and said, " Hey love, you have anything planned for today-slash-night?"

Vinyl snapped her head almost shocked by the sudden vocalization from her lover, "Uh, no, no I'm free, why do you ask?"

"Well, I got to thinking that we haven't gone out in a while and was wondering if we could maybe go for a day of shopping and fun that winded down to a few drinks at the Gilded Gryphon, sound good?"

"Yeah, sounds wonderful love, you think we should invite Flitter and Cloudchaser? I kinda feel like we've been abandoning them, when was the last time we all hung out together?"

"Three weeks dear, and yeah, that's a great idea." Octavia paused to give her dear Vinyl Scratch a light kiss on the cheek, " I'll go and call them, love you,"

" Love you too babe." 'Damn,' Scratch thought, 'damn do I love that mare,' Vinyl grinned like a foal in a sweets shop as she cleaned up all of the dishes that were left from there morning meal.

Octavia had called Flitter and Cloudchaser, the only other mares in all of Canterlot that Octavia knew were together, like her and Scratch. Their response was a little more enthusiastic then Tavi had imagined, but they agreed to the invitation all the same. Octavia dug through the clothes that were strewn throughout her closet haphazardly, she thought, 'Dear Celestia, I feel like Scratch, rummaging through clothes is so unproper, I'll need to tidy up. tomorrow,' she gave herself a slight giggle at the thought of her letting her hair down tonight, she didn't get the chance to relax all that often, what with cello practice, and performances. "Ah, tonight will be absolutely wonderful," she muttered to herself as she found a hot little ticket that she had purchased a few months back that sent Scratch's head spinning, "We'll leave that for tonight, love," she said to herself, thinking of the pleasure of surprising Vinyl Scratch with a night full of something not-so-ladylike. As she finally settled on a dress, Scratch walked in went straight to her closet and quickly threw on a slightly dressy-casual outfit that made her look absolutely stunning.

"Right, ready to go then?" Scratch asked Tavi.

"I... Uhh... Yes, sorry love, you just look so beautiful right now," she replied with her mouth curling into a cute smile.

"D'awww! Aren't you a flatterer!!!" The couple inside the house, shocked, jolted their heads to the see-through, and apparently very thin, glass door that lead to the second story balcony of Octavia's house to see a familiar looking blue Pegasus and her companion, who looked very much like the first, laughing almost hysterically.

"Cloudchaser!!" Octavia screamed the word as she stomped towards the door.

"Hey Don Juan, how's it hanging?" the blue Pegasus said casually.

"Really Cloudchaser, that's so improper. Eavesdropping? I thought you were above all that foolish nonsense!" Tavi was furious to say the least.

Cloudchaser quickly rebuttled, "Hey, hey, chill, we just came to see if you two were ready, we've been waiting for half an hour," 'A half hour? was it really that long?' Octavia thought.

"Anyway," Cloudchaser continued, "I hope it's ok with you guys, but we brought some friends, humans in fact."

"Yeah CC, that's cool," the DJ pony said, "we'll be right down, let's go Tavi."

"Way ahead of you babe." Octavia said as she walked out the door.

"Octavia, Vinyl, these are our new friends, Iliana and Brittany, they're here on vacation from, where was it, Ili?"

"California," said the tall, well-built, blonde human girl, who was wearing a beautiful pair of pants and jeweled shirt.

"Right, Cal-I-forn-ia," Flitter said as she flew just above the humans' heads.

"Pleased to meet you, Iliana and Brittany, I'm Vinyl Scratch, my stage name is DJ Pon-3," said the ecstatic white unicorn, "and this here is my marefriend Octavia, she's a cellist in The Equestrian Royal Philharmonic Orchestra." Octavia gave a slight nudge, her way of greeting new people. Cloudchaser interrupted the greeting.

"Well, we're going to show you guys the greatest time while here in Canterlot, you'll forget all about California."

"Sounds great! Let's get going!" said the other, dark haired human girl, who was wearing an unassuming purple shirt, black denim jeans, and a short purple skirt, Brittany. The group set out for the streetcar station a few blocks away from Vinyl and Tavi's house and started towards midtown, known for it's coffee shops, clothing stores, and fun attractions, and word had reached them that a certain pink party pony was in town, and this party pony NEVER forgot her party cannon.

Author's Note

I think I know the basics, again, pretty anticlimactic ending, but I think it's sort of a style thing, anyway, second entry to the story, hope you enjoy!!

Chapter 3

The small group of friends filed onto the white and red streetcar, packed as it was, it was actually rather easy to navigate. Flitter and Cloudchaser were never really into riding any sort of vehicle for whatever occasion, so they followed overhead, with their wings, leaving the unicorn, the earth pony and the two human girls on the streetcar.

"So, Iliana, what do you do for a living?" said the DJ pony, with a slight flourish of her unique, purple shades.

"Well, on Earth, I work as a program writer for a private company that leases out computers to a few special clients, some military, some expeditionary, especially when those expeditions include Equestria. I must say, the thought of an alien country just appearing in the middle of the ocean, seemingly overnight, well, your country is nothing short of amazing!" the friendly, very talkative, and slightly ditzy blonde human exclaimed.

Vinyl had almost felt sorry when she thought to herself, 'Man, Derpy would absolutely love her,' then shared a small laugh with Octavia when Vinyl whispered to her, "Think she likes muffins?" as the blonde human nearly fell on her way up the platform to the restroom car.

Tavi and Vinyl had slightly snickered as Iliana stumbled, and Brittany noticed and joined in. Vinyl noticed that the dark haired girl hadn't spoke much since they met, so she struck up a conversation.

"So how do you guys find Canterlot so far?"

"I must say Vinyl, it's quite amazing, so peaceful, you'd never find a humbler place on Earth,"

"Really? We've never been, what's California like?" asked Octavia, intrigued.

"Well, it's sort of similar in the terms of It being a big city and all, but its much easier to breathe here, California is too crowded what with Hollywood and all."

"Sorry, dear, Hollywood?"

"Well, it's a city in California that produces most of our movies and television shows,"

"I see how that could cause discomfort. It must be nice to get away for a while," said the prissy gray earth mare.

"Man, this place is crowded today!" Vinyl said a little loudly as she stared out of her window.

"My, my, this should be an interesting day." Octavia said with a slightly devilish little grin.

'I'm surprised Vinyl hasn't found out about it yet,' the prissy pony thought to herself, 'She has that persistence that leads her to uncover secrets, I mean, for crying out loud she discovered my strange obsession...' Octavia trailed off, thinking to when her largest secret had come to surface and Vinyl had discovered her adult foal...thing, 'I'm so happy that Vinyl keeps an open mind, she's so understanding,' thought Octavia as their group trotted along the street.

"Hey! Let's go see that store!" exclaimed the blonde woman, Iliana.

"Sure," Vinyl and the pegasi said, almost at the same time.

"Ya comin' Tavi?" said her marefriend as they walked.

"Of course dear, be right there, I'm just going to run and get a drink, really quickly, go on ahead," Octavia started to walk away and hit a full gallop as soon as her friends were out of sight and out of earshot, 'Vinyl better love this,' she thought as she neared the unassuming building, which only had one feature to it, a neon sign, that read 'The Platinum Pony' in blue and pink.

Octavia walked in and sort of hid her face from view as she walked to the counter, it seemed the only other occupant of the building was the slender pink mare sitting behind it. She walked up to it and cleared her throat, "Ahem, I called a few days ago, for the... 'extra help'..."

The pink mare shot her a look, "Umm, you'll have to clarify ma'am, we get more than a few requests for 'extra help',"

"Oh for Celestia's sake, the 'wearable extremity"

"Oh, of course ma'am, here you are, that'll be 30 bits,"

"Seems a little high for that sort of item,"

"I don't make the prices ma'am, I just sell the sex toys,"

"Now, dear, please, do be quiet, I can't have anyone see or here of me coming in here! Here, 30 bits and 5 extra, for you,"

"Thank you ma'am, please come again!"

Octavia ran away from the building, almost as swiftly as she ran to it. She knew Vinyl would love her new idea. She was ready to blow that white unicorn's mind. See, Octavia is a bit of a sly operator, she knew Vinyl would agree to today, so called in advance. Granted, she was way out of her element in the slightly scummy looking sex shop, but pressed on to please her mare, in more ways than one. As she arrived at the store she left her friends at just as they exited, Vinyl shot her a teasing pout, then stared at her empty hooves.

"Where's your drink?" The white unicorn stared at her lover.

"Oh, I finished it along the way, sorry it took so long dear, the line was horrible at Saddle Bucks," the gray mare said innocently.

"It's ok babe, let's keep shopping, let's hit the music shop next, I wanna pick up a few vinyls, got some plans to work with an earth DJ,"

"Ok, love, you guys coming?" Tavi said, referring to the humans and pegasi they were hanging out with, Scratch felt a bit embarrassed, as she had forgotten all about them.

"Sounds good to me!" said Cloudchaser and the group set off for the music store.

When they arrived at their destination, Vinyl trotted in happily, with the group trailing right behind her. Scratch headed straight to the human 'dubstep' section, and picked up a few records, then a few Sapphire Shores records from the ponypop section.

"Yeah, this is gonna be good!!" exclaimed the DJ pony, smirking with a slight air of smugness.

"What exactly are you going to do with those two? They're so different," said Octavia.

"Oh, babe, this isn't it, I'm gonna need some cello tracks from you, some bass, you can never go wrong with bass, and some violin tracks from your friend in the orchestra."

"What in Celestia's name are you planning?" Octavia said, not thinking these tracks could come together at all.

"Oh, you'll see soon enough, love." Scratch had a very wide grin on her face, already planning on the master mix.

"Whatever you say love, come on, let's go get some food."

"Ok, be right there, lemme check out." Vinyl said as she trotted over to the clerk.

"Where do you guys wanna go eat?" Cloudchaser asked the group as they walked over to the restaurant district.

"Hmm, we need to show Ili and Brittany some fine Equestrian dining, so somewhere fancy." Flitter answered.

Octavia lit up and said, "Ooh, ooh, let's eat at the Sugar Cube Corner they opened up here in Canterlot!" The prissy pony had grown to love SCC, as that's where her and Vinyl first ate together, and the delicious pastries and baked goods they sold certainly didn't challenge it either.

"That's a GREAT idea!" Vinyl exclaimed.

"Of course it can't be as good as the original, but I heard Pinkie's in town, so I bet she could make some really great cakes!" The group traveled a small way down Trottingham Boulevard and arrived at their destination on the corner of Galop Street and Filly Lane.

As they walked in, they were immediately barraged by a rain of confetti and the sound of a party horn. 'Yup, definitely Pinkie's party cannon' Scratch thought as she pulled confetti from her mane.

"Who's ready to PARRR-TAYYY!?!?!" the party pony exclaimed as she so energetically greeted her best friend's little sister and all of her friends.

"You guys like the new Sugar Cube Corner?! I kinda miss Ponyville and Mr. and Mrs. Cake, but hey, telephones and all, we can still be GREAT friends! I'm so excited to live in Canterlot, in my very own Sugar Cube Corner! I'm so glad Mr. and Mrs. Cake agreed to let me franchise the business!! I-"

Pinkie was cut off by a white unicorn's hoof shoved in her mouth, "Now Pinkie, dear, that's no way to greet guests, you need to calm down a bit, it's so unladylike." the white unicorn with the curled purple mane and striking eyes that reminisced of sapphires said.

"Hey Rarity, I didn't know you came with Pinkie to Canterlot." Scratch had said, greeting her big sister's friend, the Element Of Generosity.

"Well, of course I came dear, all of us did, well, almost all of us, Applejack would have loved to come, but as you can imagine, it'd be a bit difficult to move an entire apple farm."

"Ah, yeah, I forgot that now that Twilight became a princess that Princess Celestia requested you guys to move here. So what happened to Carousel Boutique?"

"Sweetie Belle is running the Ponyville branch now, she's surprisingly running it quite smoothly too."

"That's great, how are you guys settling into Canterlot?"

"Well, I'm doing fine dear, just fine."

"Me too!!" Pinkie exclaimed from the kitchen.

"We've all gotten pretty acquainted with our new lives, well, except for Rainbow Dash, she can't find a cloud to suit her rather low standards."

"Huh, sis is having a hard time?" Scratch let her thoughts trail off again.

"So sorry, lady Rarity, would you care to join us?" Octavia asked.

"Well, sure dear, but really, you should learn to lighten up, just call me Rarity."

"Of course, Rarity, please, have a seat."

While the group happily munched on desserts and sandwiches Pinkie made, Vinyl Scratch was off to her thoughts again, this time she thought of how to help her sister out, ways to amaze her marefriend, and something she felt deeper, but couldn't quite figure it out. She was so entranced that she almost didn't notice her marefriend hold her hoof under the table. She looked up at Octavia's beautiful, understanding eyes and thought of the most beautiful amethyst, she thought 'Does she know what I'm thinking about? Or is she just giving me a caring look?' She didn't see that Tavi's mouth was moving.

"Scratchie, hey Scratch, ya in there?" Octavia asked.

"Huh? Oh, yeah, sorry, what were we talking about?"

"Umm, we were leaving, you ok honey?"

"Leaving? What? We just got here?"

"If 3 hours is 'Just Getting Here' then I couldn't imagine an extended stay" Octavia laughed at Vinyl's absent-mindedness.

"3 hours?!" Scratch nearly yelled, "Did I fall asleep or something?"

"Actually, you did, you passed out as soon as you lay your head on the table."

"Oh, sorry, I need a Nos."

"Way ahead of ya Scratchie!" Pinkie exclaimed as she tossed a bottle of the highly acclaimed energy drink that the humans imported to Equestria. Octavia caught it for her, as she was in no shape, still being half-asleep.

"Sweet Celestia Scratch, you're so lazy on the weekends" a familiar voice was followed by a laugh just above Vinyl's head, she looked up and saw her sister, Rainbow Dash just above her head,

"Shit, Dash you scared the crap outta me!" Vinyl exclaimed with a jump backwards.

"What'd I miss while I was out? Why ya here sis?"

"Well, it was Octavia's idea really, I guess she thought, 'what the hay, the more, the merrier' and invited me and the other Elements to your little party tonight at the Gilded Gryphon" after Rainbow's explanation, Vinyl noticed that Fluttershy and newly-coronated Princess Twilight had joined them.

"Huh," Scratch said, "I don't think I've ever drank with a princess before," Vinyl said with a laugh, teasing her friend, Twilight Sparkle.

"Ha-Ha, very funny, Scratch," Twilight said, slightly annoyed, "I'm still the same Twilight, and please, please don't talk about the coronation, every time I hear about it, my head starts pounding from Pinkie's 'special brew' she made, damn, that stuff had some kick!!"

"Of course Twilight, it was only a joke, anyway, let's get going, or we'll lose our reservation."

The group arrived at the slightly golden-yellow building that was the Gilded Gryphon Hookah Bar, of course Scratch ordered a round of shots for everyone and a bottle of Zin for Octavia. 'This night is going to end perfectly' the thought kept persisting in Scratch's mind. She brushed it off and brought the drinks to their table, where Octavia was setting up the hookah with Vinyl's favorite shisha. 'Damn,' Scratch thought, 'I really do love that mare.'

Chapter 4

The group had a great time dancing, smoking the hookah, and having a few drinks. As the party winded down, Fluttershy had a bit too much to drink and needed some help from the other Elements to get home, reverting the group to the original 6. Vinyl had just paid the bill and walked over to the table to help her friends up. They walked for a while before Flitter got a little light headed, so Cloudchaser and the human females had to bring her home, leaving only Vinyl and Octavia.

The two lovers caught a carriage home and cuddled as they rode. Wine always made Octavia so loving, but Vinyl never complained though, she actually loved it. Tavi was a bit wobbly, so Vinyl helped her through the door, as soon as it closed, Octavia took Vinyl in a big hug and kissed her, then stared in her eyes with a sensual look.

"Vinyl, babe, I have a great surprise for you,"

"Well, that's great Tav-" Scratch was cut off by Octavia's tounge gently wrapping itself around Scratch's, exploring her mouth. After Tavi pulled away, she told Vinyl to go and wait on the bed, she'd be up soon.

Octavia reached in her saddlebag and after searching a bit, pulled out her purchase from earlier today, she felt out of place holding the large, purple strap-on, but thought, 'For Vinyl' and slid it on. After a bit of a struggle, she finally figured out the correct way to attach the toy to herself and started up the stairs.

Waiting patiently, Vinyl got so excited, when the door finally opened and Scratch saw her with the large toy between her two hind legs, a sexy smile donned on both of their faces.

"Well, Scratchie? Enjoy... your... surprise?" Octavia asked between breaths as she forced her toy deep into Vinyl's most holiest of holes.

"I...Ugh!! Mmph!!" was all the white unicorn could muster as her lover gave her the greatest feeling she had ever had. Nopony had ever made Vinyl feel this good. Octavia could tell by the expression on her marefriend's face that she was close to finishing, she thrust harder, and deeper than what she had been and even tried to go faster, but she was pretty exhausted at this point, and didn't get too fast. Vinyl's welcoming embrace on Tavi's little toy tightened, and strained until finally she couldn't take it any longer, she had to have release, and release she did have. With a final, forceful thrust deep inside Vinyl's hole, the toy broke the mare, who released her flood gates and came harder than she had any time before Tavi.

Octavia collapsed onto Vinyl, who was panting, desperate for breath as she caught her marefriend in her arms and held her as tight as she could. Vinyl kissed at Octavia's neck and cheek, as she finally caught her breath and said "I love you so much Tavi." "I love you too, Vinyl" "Baby, that was amazing! I've never felt anything like it before!" "All... All for you Vinyl" the gray mare said, as she still hadn't quite caught her breath. "Baby, thank you so much." "No problem Scratchie" said Octavia, who had just caught her first adequate breath. Vinyl loved when Octavia called her 'Scratchie,' it was something in the way that the prissy pony's voice always kind of squeaked out the last syllable, a cute squeak.

"Are you ready for your surprise love?" Vinyl's question slightly perked the ears of her gray lover.

"What surprise love?" "The one I was trying to tell you about before you interrupted me with your surprise."

"Vinyl, babe, you didn't have to get me anything."

"Nonsense, you deserve only the best. And That, my dear Tavi, is final," The white mare stated matter-of-factly. Octavia looked up as her marefriend stood up and walked a few feet away from the bed. Vinyl told Octavia to brace herself, that it might feel a little strange. Just then, Vinyl's horn started to glow a faint blue color, that grew until it bathed the room in a royal blue, just before blinding Octavia for a short instant, when she looked, she didn't see her marefriend and got worried, she jumped up and quickly fell to the floor as she was shocked to notice her hooves were gone, Vinyl stepped out of her hiding place in the closet, but something wasn't right. She had human legs, human body, human hands and feet, though her coat color was applied to skin, it was still present, her horn was as well, hell, she even had her cutie mark just above the waistline of her underwear on both sides. Octavia let out a short, shocked, 'meep!' sound that Vinyl had heard from Fluttershy on numerous occasions, Vinyl was nearly dying of laughter as her mare-girl-friend, fumbled her words something fierce.

"Like it?" Vinyl scoffed as she posed for the gray human-pony, who sat on the floor, shocked.

"Vinyl, h-h-how did y-y-you do t-t-that?!"

"I got Twilight to teach me a spell, it was called, 'Anthropomorphing,' pretty neat, huh??"

"It's...different... But I don't see how this fits with our evening,"

"Oh, ho, ho, dear Tavi, that was NOT the main goal of that surprise, just an added bonus," Vinyl smiled a sexy, alluring smile as she patted the area of her underwear where her genitals should be, "Come over here and see what ELSE I have for you." Octavia slowly, shyly, crawled over, not sure how to balance on her human frame. When she reached her destination, Vinyl slipped off her silk undergarments with swiftness and ease, revealing a rather large, phallic shape that Octavia recognized immediately.

"Now, dear Tavi, do YOU enjoy YOUR surprise?" Octavia didn't respond, but instead took the large dick into her mouth, surprising Vinyl. Vinyl pulled her away and said to her, "Babe, chill, let's go to the bed," Vinyl led Tavi to the bed and lay her down on her back before climbing on top of her and hovering the phallus right over her human clitoris. Octavia had a wanting, eager look in her eyes as Vinyl took hold of the phallus and started gently rubbing it on her partner's already soaking wet genitalia.

"Mmmm... Ooohhh..." Octavia moaned as her partner stimulated her using a dick made from magic, 'magic,' Octavia thought, 'magic truly is a wonderful thing!' Vinyl watched her partner through strained eyes as she fucked the love of her life hard, very hard, maybe a little too hard, she slowed down a little and tried to make it more of a love thing, which obviously pissed off Tavi, as she had a very unhappy frown on her face as she screamed, "HARDER!!! FASTER!!!" Scratch snickered at the way the prissy, proper pony had melted her façade and shown her true sexual deviant side. Scratch did as her mistress commanded and pounded as hard as she could into Tavi's welcoming twat. Octavia knew she wouldn't last much longer, what with the DJ pony-girl giving her the best sex she had ever had in her life, she held out as long as she could, so her mare-girlfriend could enjoy as much as she wanted, but she knew it was near, she finally broke, and came harder than she had in what felt like eons.

Much to Tavi's surprise, the pair had cum in unison, this set Octavia off, she immediately thought 'Oh shit! I'm going to get pregnant!' she even said this to Vinyl, who was making use of her human hands by smoking a menthol cigarette. Scratch reassured her saying that it was impossible for two mares to have a child together, which Octy rebutted with

"But what about that spell, you had a... thing..." Vinyl assured her again, saying that it was just a magic trick, and that she didn't think even human tgirls could impregnate a female. Octavia was satisfied with this response, as she said "Oh thank Celestia!" followed by her cuddling up to the blue haired anthro whom she loved with all her heart, "Hey, Vinyl..."

"Yeah, Tavi?"

"Does this mean we won't ever be ponies again?"

"Oh, yeah, no, never ever again" Vinyl was met with silence, before bursting into laughter, "HAHA, YOU SHOULD HAVE SEEN YOUR FACE!!!" The blue haired anthro screamed.

"Not funny Scratch." Octavia said coldly.

"Sorry baby," Vinyl apologized, "I just can't pass up a chance that great, besides, I have a lot of work to do tomorrow, so I'm just going to live it up tonight." Octavia looked confused.

"Work? But I thought they had to postpone the opening of your new club here in Canterlot?"

"Not that type of work, I'm starting on another surprise for you, it's nothing like this one, but it's just as good, scratch that, WAAAAAAAY better than this one." 'What could possibly be better than a rutting like that??' Octavia thought to herself as she just cuddled up tighter to Scratch, Tavi didn't notice, but Scratch looked at her with the most loving of gazes, she had finally realized why she had recently been thinking of her marefriend more and more, with growing levels of love and other emotions.

Vinyl Scratch was ready to make this mare her bride.

As promised, humorous mature content, I found this pretty entertaining to write, I think it's one of the better chapters, minus the beginning anyway, sorry it sucked a little, but I didn't want to keep the readers waiting. On a side note, I think I enjoy the thought of a sloppy drunken Fluttershy, anyways. ENJOY!!!

Chapter 5

Vinyl's awakening the next morning was less than savory. It began with a loud crash as her older sister smashed into her and Octavia's balcony, screaming frantically about something happening to her coltfriend, Soarin', one of The Wonderbolts, Equestria's elite flying team. She said she needed Vinyl to meet her at the hospital ASAP, in ten seconds flat, or something.

Vinyl was back in her pony form, her 'Anthro' spell wearing off after 4 or so hours, cuddled up with Tavi. She woke up the sleeping mare, which was a huge risk to her own personal health. Luckily for Vinyl, Octavia was still too sore from their wild times the previous night to do any harm. Scratch quickly debriefed Octy, who understood and went to get a shower before they left, rising herself from the bed with a yawn followed by a slight, "Ooooh!" as her legs were still extra sensitive to movement. In only a few minutes Octavia had emerged from the bathroom, looking like her usual self, hair hanging just above her eye, tail flourished into the perfect little swoop it always had, and bowtie suited perfectly for her eyes. Vinyl was impressed by the speed the mare had, only to end up looking perfect as usual. Now it was Vinyl's turn to shower, she trotted to the bathroom and swiped the door closed with her magic. While her marefriend showered, Octavia decided to make a quick breakfast, Pop-Tarts, an import from the human world, small pastries that were filled with flavored jellies or creams and then iced and sprinkled. Octavia loved the little morsels, they were like her comfort food. She almost lost herself in the aroma. Vinyl appeared outside of the bathroom, with her mane still damp, but mostly styled like usual a huge spiky up-do flourished out so much that one could easily lose themselves in it's glory and tail made the same way. She grabbed a Pop-Tart and hurried Octavia out of the door, then applied her signature purple shades with her magic.

Vinyl was still angry at Rainbow Dash for interrupting her most peaceful slumber, but mostly worried about Soarin'. She hadn't known him for long, but he and Dash got together soon after the latter joined the 'Bolts' as most ponies liked to call them. They first met on a trip to a nice restaurant to introduce Tavi to Dash, also (unkown at the time) Soarin' to Scratch. Soarin' had become a close friend to Scratch and Octavia, seeing as he was the first pony in Ponyville to learn about their relationship, and they cared for him as if he were family.

As their streetcar pulled into the uptown station, Vinyl and Octavia stepped out to see Soarin' standing in front of the exit with a huge grin across his face. Vinyl pulled a double-take to make sure she wasn't seeing things. "Soarin'?! What happened!? We came as quickly as we could! Dash said something happened to you!!" exclaimed Octavia.

"Me? But I'm fine, something huge happened between US though!!" Soarin' greeted his friends enthusiastically, and slightly confused.

"I may have mixed a few sentences in the commotion." Interjected Scratch, meekly.

"Well that explains it, anyway, come with me, you guys are gonna love this!!" Soarin' said, leading them to the hospital. The two mares followed Soarin' through a maze of hospital rooms, to a room that read '626, R. Dash.' Vinyl's heart sank.

"Dash?" she said, "Soarin'! What happened to my sister!?"

Soarin' simply replied coolly with, "Why don't you go in and find out?" and a rather large and proud smile. Scratch stared at him coldly as she swung open the door with her magic.

She stormed in and began with rapid fire questions, "Are you ok!? What happened!? Did HE do this to you?!" RD looked at her younger sister with an expression of confusion clear across her face,

"You silly filly, but if you must know, yeah, Soarin' definitely did do this!" Dash exclaimed with a big smile on her face. Now it was Vinyl's turn to be confused.

"Ok, hold on a minute! What the hay is happening here!?"

"Well Scratch," Soarin' said as he joined the rainbow maned Pegasus by her side, "WE'RE PREGNANT!!!" the two lovers said in unison. Scratch's expression went from one of utter confusion and powerful anger to one of overwhelming joy.

"OHMIGOSHOHMIGOSHOHMIGOSH!!!!! That's super-ultra-extreme-awesome-mazing!" exclaimed the DJ as she hugged her lover absent-mindedly, she was just so happy, and she needed to hug somepony. Octavia was also overwhelmed with emotion, but kept herself retained and ladylike, the proper way. After the initial excitement settled, the group of four started talking, and not just about the new foal that was coming in a few months.

Octavia perked up every time the word foal was used, she was so nervous somepony had found out about her strange fetish, but being reassured as Vinyl would place a hoof on her back and give her an honest smile.

Rainbow laughed as she and Scratch chatted away, "Sorry sis, but now that this foal is coming along, I think my relationship is about 20% cooler than yours!" RD teased while Scratch playfully pouted. Octavia had taken a seat by the window, and was looking sort of down, so Soarin' walked over to her side and took a seat.

"Hey, what's wrong?" the Pegasus asked.

"Oh... Nothing, why do you ask?"

"Umm, because you're one of my best friends and you're a really bad liar?"

" Shut up!" Octavia playfully punched Soarin's arm.

They shared a quick laugh, when Soarin' asked, "But Seriously, what in the hay is up? You shouldn't be so down. There's a new foal on its way!" Octavia perked up nervously, but quickly regained control of herself.

"It's just, you know, I kinda always wanted to settle down and have a child one day... But with Equestria's fascist look on mare-mare relationships, I don't think it's ever going to happen..."

Soarin' looked at her with care in his eyes, then gave her a quick hug, "And how am I supposed to make Vinyl happy if I can't give her a family besides me? I'm not that special..." Octavia was getting more disheartened by the second. Soarin' quickly rebutted.

"Now you just hold your horses right there Tavi," he said firmly, "that mare loves you, like more than any other relationship I've ever heard of, and I know that she will still love you whether you start a herd together or not, and that's a fact. Now quit pouting." Octavia hugged Soarin' again and thanked him for being a good friend.

They walked over to join RD and Vinyl Scratch. "Rainbow, might I ask how you found out about your filly or colt?" Octavia asked as the other Elements finally arrived. "Well Oct-"

"YEEEEEE-HAAAAWWWW!!!!! DASHIE'S DONE GOT A FOAL A-COMIN'!!!!" RD was cut off as an orange mare jumped in, flourishing her cowboy hat as she landed gracefully.

"Whoah!! AJ!? When did you get here?!" Dash smiled at her old friendly rival who had just arrived with the other Elements of Harmony.

"Well, Twilight here just up an' appeared at Sweet Apple Acres whilst 'ah was harvestin' the Zap Apples and said you done gone an' got pregnant, so 'ah told Big Mac to handle the apples and caught a ride back with Twi. How ya doin' sugarcube?"

"I'm great, but I'm starving for some of Granny Smith's Zap Apple Jam, pleeeeeeease tell me you grabbed some, and some of that awesome cider you guys are always making. OhPleaseOhPleaseOhPlease???"

"Hold yer' horses there, sugarcube, I brought ya some jam, but you cain't be drinkin' the Apple Family Moon- ah' mean uh Cider with that little filly in there" AJ said, motioning towards Dash's belly with her hoof.

"And just how do you know it's a filly, AJ?" said Dash, "for all we know I could have a beautiful baby colt in here!" RD said, with a playful tone.

"Ahem, you were saying Dash?" said Octavia, her tone slightly annoyed for the interruption.

"Huh? Oh yeah, well anyways, I was getting a checkup for a cut that I thought was infected, Tank gets pretty rowdy when I forget to feed him, anyways, checking the 'infection' lead to my Bolts initiation physical exam, and when the results came in, I was pregnant." 'Wow,' Octy thought, 'that was very anticlimactic.'

After about an hour of chatting, Octavia and Vinyl took their leave, seeing as the former had a performance with the orchestra that she couldn't postpone. They walked together rather closely, and Octavia had said something about being hungry.

Vinyl thought for a moment and said, "Alright, how about we grab a bite to eat?" Octavia agreed and the pair walked to a nearby bistro for lunch. Their order was exactly the same, save for the drinks. Octavia had a cup of Earl Grey tea, while Vinyl had Nos fruit punch. "So Tavi, how do you feel about RD and Soarin's foal?" Vinyl asked, with a slight tease to the word 'foal'.

Octavia glared at her before saying, "I'm so happy for them, it's sort of like a reward thing for Dash, don't you agree?"

"Reward for what, exactly?" Vinyl inquired.

"You know, for being accepted into the Wonderbolts? You do remember that she was accepted, right?"

"Oh, Shit!" Vinyl said, surprised, "I forgot all about that, but I do wonder, is that still going to happen now that she's pregnant with the co-captain's kid?"

"I'm sure Spitfire won't care much, maternity leave and all." Octavia said nonchalantly.

"We should tell Flitter and CC about this, I almost forgot about them, what with all the commotion." Vinyl said, "I'm sure they'll be excited."

"Good idea, I wonder if those two humans are still with them." Octavia pondered for a moment, then glanced at the wall clock, 5:00. "Oh, my dear sweet Celestia! I'm going to be late!!" The prissy pony exclaimed.

"Don't worry about the bill, babe, I'll pay, I'll see you at the performance," Vinyl said calmly before giving her marefriend a kiss, "I'm in box five, love you Tavi."

"Sorry for cutting lunch short, love you too Scratch," the frantic pony said as she ran for the door.

Octavia sat, playing Beethoven's "Fur Elise," she rather loved this particular warm up, the way the chords sounded so melodic just amazed her. She had arrived rather early to the performance hall, as was her preference, and decided to play a few pieces on her cello to calm her nerves and warm her fingers up. She hadn't realized how long it had been since she had played, '3 days,' she thought to herself, 'how I survived 3 days of Vinyl's mixes without my baby I'll never know.' She always referred to her cello as 'Baby.' She had poured so much of her heart and soul into that instrument, not to mention all the hours of practice and hard work she had used to get into the Royal Equestrian Philharmonic Orchestra. She loved her cello so much because it gave her time to think, it always helped her solve any emotional problem she faced.

"Octavia," the director said, "Would you care to join us?" "Oh, yes sir, coming." Octavia replied, she had lost track of time, not realizing it was time for final rehearsal before the show.

There's some confusion in this chapter, I know, but I kinda had to wing it a bit after the Rainbow Dash pregnancy thing, I was also rushed on this one. I think it came together well in parts, despite the confusing storyline. Anyhow, ENJOY!!

Chapter 6

Vinyl wandered through the crowds that filled the performance hall. 'Big crowd tonight' she thought to herself, as she snaked her way around a group of high class ponies dressed in exquisite garb. She had rarely been to the large amphitheater and only during much smaller shows. Eventually, she found the door that lead to the flight of stairs that would lead to her viewing box. She was somewhat excited about the show this evening, seeing Octavia in her element was the main reasoning behind the excitement though. Although Octavia had tried her hardest to get Scratch more into classical, or at least orchestral music, it was all in vain. Vinyl preferred her wubs, as she liked to call them, those mixes were her passion.

Vinyl took a seat and sent the waiter for a martini highball as she set up her laptop. She planned to work on the mix she was preparing for the day of her and Tavi's date, she knew what this was going to be, her master track, a song for her beautiful marefriend, the song she would propose to. Seeing RD's and Soarin's happiness together gave her a revelation, an answer to her thoughts of Octavia, she was going to marry her lover, she needed to finish this song though, it was important to her.

Most of the songs on Sapphire Shores' new album were ballads, and Vinyl was going to use those tasty beats to her advantage. As she sipped on her martini, Vinyl started ripping the vocals from the tracks, lightening the treble line and dropping the bass, 'This is going to be beautiful.' Vinyl thought with a devilish grin. Scratch hadn't noticed that the orchestra began playing, as her headphones were in and turned up loud. She didn't even notice Octavia looking up at her while she played her heart out.

Scratch felt eyes glaring at her and looked up to see Octavia's less than pleased gaze. Vinyl quickly yanked her headphones out and tried her best to look innocent, but she knew she would be in trouble when she met the mare after her performance. Luckily, she had stopped mixing in time to hear Octavia's solo. Although Scratch didn't care for her lover's genre much, she absolutely adored when Tavi played cello. It's sound was sweet and somber, and the way Octavia played those beautiful bass notes just made Scratch want to mix even more. Scratch withheld herself though, she wanted to see Octavia happy, even if it meant that she had to sit through what she would describe as 'ear-rape.' "Thank Celestia this dull shit is almost over with," she muttered to herself.

Octavia sighed as her conductor released the orchestra. She was so relieved, she didn't even think twice before she was snapping her baby's case shut and trotting out the door. As she stepped out, Tavi was shocked as she was tackled into a tight hug from Vinyl who was pecking at her cheek. "You were so good tonight baby, I loved your solo." said the DJ pony, who was trying the best she could to not be scolded by her lover for mixing on her laptop during the first half of the performance.

"Hmph!" said Octavia, "I never would have thought you actually listened, seeing as how those thrice-damned earbuds are still in!" The prissy pony was absolutely steaming at this point, she had hoped Vinyl would notice that her solo piece was the first song Octavia had played for Vinyl on their third date, but Scratch was searching for a rebuttal that wouldn't end in her getting a swift swat to the face.

Octavia had expected a far-fetched tale of why Scratch HAD to play on her computer, and was taken aback as the white mare simply said, "I'm so sorry, Octavia." Vinyl sounded so sad, "I'm working on something really important to myself, and if all goes as planned, you as well, but it's still no excuse to be a bitch, so, I'm sorry, I truly am." Octavia looked at her lover in the eyes, as she had not yet donned her signature purple shades yet, she viewed a sight of true, legitimate regret and guilt.

"Vinyl," Octavia started, "I was only joking, it's not that big of a deal. I know how you feel about classical music. I'm not angry at you." she said as she held her marefriend close and kissed her cheek sweetly.

"Really?" said Scratch, "You aren't mad?"

"Of course not baby, why would I be?"

"Well, I missed your solo..."

"And? Honestly, I've drowned out more than a few of your songs over the few months we've been dating, so it's fine, think of it as revenge."

"Well, ok, I'm still sorry though," Vinyl finished as the two mares held each other in a tight embrace.

"Say, Vinyl, what exactly WERE you working on anyhoof?" Octavia inquired as the pair trotted home.

"Well, it's kind of a secret thing." Explained Scratch, who was trying to figure out a way to make it sound less bad.

"Well, you know you can tell me anything," said Tavi.

"Well, it's kind of TOP secret." Octavia thought for a moment and cocked an eyebrow up at her companion.

"Fiiiiiiiiiiine," Octavia said in a pouty manner.

"Trust me, you are going to love it Octavia Philharmonica." said Scratch 'hopefully' she thought to herself. As they arrived at their home, the two mares nearly passed out onto the floor. They were utterly exhausted, and Scratch used her magic to do pretty much everything physical they did that day, so Octavia offered to clean up the unkempt dishes from early that morning. "Thanks, love," Vinyl said with an exasperated yawn, just before passing out on the couch she had literally just sat down in.

Octavia brought her a blanket and wrapped her up before giving her a kiss on the forehead and whispering "Goodnight Scratch" to her. Octavia made her way to bed.

Chapter 7

After noticing that Octavia had believed her ruse, Vinyl thought 'Wonderful! Time to mix!' She quickly set up her iMac and opened her mixing software.

Octavia was roused from her slumber with the sounds of electronic grinding and bass drops. She did a quick double-take and realized it was still dark out, a glance to the clock confirmed it was only 3:45, two hours after she and Vinyl got home. "What the hell is she doing up? She was literally passing out when we got home!" Octavia said to herself as she snuck down the stairs.

"Man, when I finally show this to Tavi, she better appreciate it." Octavia froze when she heard Scratch utter those words.

'That must be the secret project she was talking about,' Octavia thought to herself, 'Do I really want to listen? She would get so pissed if she found out, still, it can't be THAT bad, I should stick around.' Octavia snuck a few more steps down, just until she could see Vinyl and her computer. Two words was all that she could make out on Vinyl's screen, 'Engagement Song,' Octavia's heart sank, 'SHE'S GOING TO PROPOSE!?!?!?' she screamed in her head, 'Oh, I simply CANNOT ruin this!!' she tried to sneak back upstairs before she gave herself anymore than she had already heard, but in her haste tripped and fell, causing a crescendo that resulted in her at the bottom of the staircase amongst a pile of paintings she had hung along the walls.

"WHAT IN EQUESTRIA WAS THAT?!?!" Vinyl shouted as she slammed her laptop shut, "OCTAVIA?? WHAT ARE YOU DOING??"

"Ummm, funny story actually, uh, huh-huh..." was Tavi's response, with a follow-up of, "What are YOU doing, miss falls-on-her-face-the-moment-we-get-home? Shouldn't you be asleep, instead of playing on your computer?"

"I-I-I wasn't on my computer, I have no idea what you're talking about," Vinyl stammered as she spoke, 'Shit, how am I gonna get out of this without her finding out?'

"Don't play dumb with me, I heard that music, what are you getting at Scratch? What's with all the secrecy?"

"Working! I was working on my upcoming gig!" Scratch sounded unsure of the answer, but hoped Octavia would buy it.

Octavia sighed, "I, umm, I saw what you named it Vinyl, I'm sorry I ruined your surprise..." Octavia sounded as if she had just killed Vinyl's puppy.

"You... You saw?" Scratch sounded pained.

"Vinyl.... I'm really sorry..." Octavia was on the verge of tears.

Vinyl took Octavia in her arms, "I... I love you Octavia..." she said quietly, "I really waned it to be a surprise... but I'm not mad. I'm actually really happy, I was scared that if you found out that you might freak out, say it was 'too soon' and all that, I'm actually really happy that you're not angry." Octavia looked into her eyes, then Vinyl took her in a very loving, passionate kiss.

As Octavia pulled out of the kiss, she muttered, "...yes..."

"Wait, wait, wait, this isn't the right place, or time for that, just hold your horses, Tavi, soon." Scratch kissed Octavia again, "Let's go to bed, we can talk about this in the morning, I love you Octavia."

```The Next Morning~~~

As Vinyl lay, watching Octavia sleep, she couldn't help but notice how peaceful she looked, how happy, a smile found its way to her face. Scratch checked the clock, 7;30, "I'm gonna make her breakfast in bed," Vinyl said to herself, careful not to rouse her sleeping lover, and headed to the kitchen downstairs.

Octavia was woken at 8:30, only to be given a delicious breakfast in bed that Scratch had cooked for her. "This is DELICIOUS Scratch!" Octavia said, maybe a bit too loudly, as she munched on the spread that Scratch had prepared for her.

"Ha ha, eat up babe, there's plenty more where it came from," Scratch said as she hugged her lover.

After Octavia gulped down the last of her orange juice, she looked at Scratch seriously, "So, when do we get to talk about last night?"

"Soon, but first let's go see Dash and Soarin', I think I should at least tell my sister before I make an important life decision, don't you?"

"Oh, umm, oh I guess so, let me get ready." Octavia said. Tavi was excited, VERY excited and wanted to hurry this as much as possible. The thought of being engaged to Vinyl thrilled Octavia, to her very core, and she just wanted to skip to the good parts.

In fifteen minutes, Octavia had showered, brushed her mane and tail to perfection, and donned her signature pink bowtie. "Took ya long enough," Scratch teased, smirking at Octy. Scratch was in a baggy green hoodie and her signature purple shades, "Let's head out."

After a short trolley ride, they arrived at the hospital where the pregnant Dash and her spouse were eagerly awaiting their child. Scratch and Tavi were almost running to get to the room where Dash was staying. After a short while they arrived and crashed through the door. "Scratch? Tavi? What the hell are you two doing here?" Dash said, too loudly, as she woke her husband, who was snoozing on the large recliner that was in the room.

"Dash, big news, BIG, BIG NEWS!!" Scratch said excitedly, as her eyes adjusted and she realized that the Mane 6, as they were known, were all together, and Dash looked pregnant... VERY pregnant, "Rainbow? When did you get so big? Didn't you JUST find out you were pregnant like a month ago?"

"You're spending too much time with humans, Scratch, you know ponies have a really short gestation period, right? This little guy could pop out any minute now!"

"First off, sis, gross, anyways, it's better that you're all here, I have a very important announcement to make." Vinyl stood proudly, "I am going to propose to Octavia!!"

"Umm, Vinyl, dear, I'm not sure how to tell you this, but, well, your prospective spouse is not supposed to well, know that you intend to propose," Rarity said.

"That's just it, see, I was putting together this piece and I was gonna take Tavi out to a fancy restaurant and have them play it, then propose when it came on, but SOMEPONY had to go snooping around and ruin that plan," Vinyl shot a playfully accusing look at Octavia, "So now she knows I'm going to propose, she just doesn't know how or when it's coming."

"Well, I'm happy fer ya, sugarcube," Applejack said, giving Scratch a hoof on the back.

"Thanks, AJ, it means a lot." Scratch was happy that her announcement was well met, but it's not what she came for. "Umm, I've gotta go talk to to Dash and Soarin', be right back." Scratch walked over to the bed where Dash lay, Soarin' hugging her tight. "Umm, guys, look, I know that I'm supposed to get a blessing or something from parents and all, and umm, well, since mom and dad are dead, and since you two have been there for me since then, maybe umm, maybe you could be my honorary parents...." Scratch was on the verge of tears, she took her parents' tragic death hard, it was one reason why she and Dash had rebuilt their relationship.

Rainbow started with a hoof on her sister's shoulder, "Scratch, Soarin' and I would be honored to give you our blessing, and I want you to know that mom and dad would be so proud of you, you know what dad would say? He would look you straight in the eye and say, 'Baby, you and your sister are my life, I could never tell you just how much I love the both of you, Rainbow's having a WONDERBOLT'S baby, and you're proposing to the most renowned cellist in the world, I could never be prouder of the both of you, I love you Scratchie, even if you wear those silly shades everywhere.'"

"Thanks a lot sis, I love you." Scratch said, while wiping away a tear.

Rainbow took Vinyl into a big hug, "I love you too, Scratch."

Chapter 8

'Three weeks have passed since I told Dash and the others, and tomorrow is Hearts And Hooves Day, I'll do it then, it'll be wonderful,' Vinyl thought to herself as she jammed to a song, DARE, by a human band, Gorillaz. As soon as her song was over, she began planning her and Octavia's day tomorrow, being sure to lock the doors and close the shutters, even though Octavia had an all-day rehearsal with the Royal Canterlot Orchestra, Scratch wasn't going to take another chance to have her plans blown. She had figured it out, first, breakfast in bed with a present, Vinyl wasn't sure on the present, maybe a new bowtie, but nonetheless, she kept planning, after breakfast, she would take her on a romantic walk through the Royal Gardens, and a boat ride/picnic in a quaint little lake that Vinyl had found one drunken night in a time long-since forgotten, all leading up to a party at Sugarcube Corner: Canterlot, where it would only be the Mane 6 (including Soarin', Dash, and Fyre Flye, their filly), Flitter, Cloudchaser, and the two human girls they had befriended. Vinyl smiled at the picture she envisioned in her head. "I really hope this is enough to impress her," Vinyl said aloud, her heart aflutter with butterflies.

"But now is not the time, I've got to find her a present," Vinyl stated with confidence, she left a note, just in case Tavi got home early, and headed towards the market district.

When Vinyl arrived in the market, she wasn't surprised to see many a mare and stallion darting from shop to shop to find a gift for their special somepony. Scratch let out a sigh as she headed first to the music store, to see if she could find something cello-related to please her lover. After purchasing a set of expensive strings and a new bow, she headed to the nearest coffee vendor for a chilled mocha frappe. As she sat there, sipping her coffee and enjoying the calamity of the busy marketplace, she started to think of a good line to use while proposing, nothing too cheesy, but something genuine.

~~~Meanwhile~~~

Octavia returned home late in the afternoon, 6:00 if she read the clock right, and was simply exhausted, 'If only Vinyl were here to give me one of her signature backrubs, it's a wonder she didn't get a cutie mark as a spa pony, she would certainly be prosperous,' Octavia thought to herself as she lay down on her soft, fluffy couch, she began to drift to sleep.

A loud rapping came from her door just as she had gotten relaxed, "Tavi? You in there? It's Scratch, wanna open the door? I've got my hands full."

"Oh, you silly filly, I just got comfortable, hang on, I'll be right there," Tavi mumbled to herself as she cantered over to the door and opened it, to see Vinyl was weighed down by a ton of groceries. "So how crazy was the market, love?"

"It. Was. Hell." Scratch threw all the groceries on the table and gave Octavia a quick kiss. "I'm gonna take a quick shower, then I'm gonna make us some dinner, you can relax until then babe."

"Oh, fine, but do hurry, I'm exhausted." Octavia gave Vinyl a hug as she walked off, "Why are you taking that bag with you?" she asked.

"Bought a new shampoo I wanna try out," Scratch replied slyly.

"Fine, fine, just hurry up and shower already, love you Scratch."

"Love you too Tavi." Scratch cantered up the stairs and quickly stashed her presents in her closet, then took a 5 minute shower.

"Mmm, smells good, what is it?" Octavia asked as the smell of something delectable invaded her nostrils.

"Just a recipe I got from AJ awhile back, with that signature Scratch kick, it's got zap apples in it too."

"I LOOOOVE zap apples-"

"I know." Vinyl was proud to please her lover. As she set the table, Octavia almost wolfed down her whole plate. Scratch loved how different Octavia was in private compared to her public facade, it was one of those things that made Scratch love her. Vinyl munched away on her food as Octavia went for seconds.

"So, Vinyl, I've got a little itch I need you to scratch," Octavia teased at Vinyl as they washed the dishes. Scratch had realized what she meant since the statement was followed by playful swat on the rump.

"Oh, really now? Weren't you VERRRY tired a few minutes ago?" Vinyl said, returning the sexual sarcasm.

"I was, but I feel WIRED now." Octavia was seriously into this.

"Why don't you head upstairs baby, I'll be up soon."

Vinyl finished the dishes, but stayed downstairs awhile, to do a quick checklist of tomorrow. First, she made sure her proposal speech was complete, then she packed a picnic basket and arranged the foods she would use for breakfast in the morning to be easily accessed, then called the Royal Gardens to make sure they had prepared it to her specifications, she then called the rentals shop to make sure her two person gondola would be polished and ready for her tomorrow, and finally called on Pinkie Pie to make a "few" last minute changes to her party layout, including tables, flowers, pastries, guests, music, and drinks, as Pinkie Pie finished her changes, she yawned a goodnight to Scratch and hung up.

"Alright, love, I'm-" Scratch cut herself off as she entered the room to see Octavia curled up with the stuffed animal Scratch gave her on their 4th date. She smiled down at Octavia's peaceful, serene slumber. She bent down and kissed her lover gently on the cheek before crawling in bed and holding her, "Goodnight, my love."

Chapter 9

Scratch laid in bed for a while, holding Octavia close while her mind wandered through line after line, never settling on words that she felt truly captured her feelings for her marefriend. Octavia tossed and turned, clearly having a bad dream, Scratch noticed and snuggled closer whenever a particularly bad jolt of energy from Tavi hit her. Her mind started to float away from her future proposal, fixated on figuring out was troubling her lover. She had just started to nod off when Octavia shot straight up in their bed.

"OH GOD NO!!!!" was all Scratch heard as she was forcefully ejected from the bed by Octavia's sudden burst.

"Octavia, are you ok?!" Scratch sprang into action, capturing the sweating Octavia in a tight embrace.

"Oh, Scratch, thank Celestia, I just had the worst nightmare of my life," Octavia said, catching the breath that stuck in her throat. "You had fallen back into your old self, you told me you never loved me."

"Whoa, baby, calm down, I'm here, I'll never leave your side Octavia, I love you." Vinyl was scared, she hadn't seen Octavia this terrified since that fight in the alley.

"Vinyl, I-I don't know what came over me, I'm so sorry, I love you too."

"Baby, calm down, look, it's almost morning, how about I go start us a breakfast, why don't you go take a shower, I bought you some new shampoo, I think you'll like it."

"Right, right, umm, I'm sorry, I need to clear my thoughts, a shower seems perfect, thank you Vinyl," Octavia planted a quick peck on Vinyl's right cheek as she hopped out of bed, still rather shaky from her night terror.

Vinyl watched as Octavia sauntered into the master bathroom, slightly worried, but shaking it off, mentally preparing herself for the day that was quickly arriving. She jumped up and went downstairs to prepare Octavia's breakfast.

Vinyl had gotten the timing perfect, as Octavia walked in as Scratch made the last preparations on the table, a vase of a dozen red roses were crowned by one white rose, Octavia's zap apple pancakes with tofu eggs was perfectly garnished with a sprig of parsley, and a perfectly crafted screwdriver (yes, the drink) sat, welcoming Octavia to a breakfast she would not forget.

"Vinyl..... this looks.... AMAZING!!!!! WHAT HAPPENED?!?! IS EVERYTHING OK?!?!"

"WHOA!! Tavi, calm yourself! Everything's fine, can't I make a good breakfast for the best marefriend in Equestrian history on Hearts and Hooves Day?" Scratch laughed as Octavia tackled her in a breath stealing embrace.

"ThankyouThankyouThankyouThankyou!! I love you so much Vinyl Scratch!" Octavia followed her statement with a quick, passionate kiss.

"Baby, I want today to be all for you, anything you want, just ask and I'll make it happen. I love you Octavia."

"Oh Vinyl, you are amazing," Tavi planted another quick kiss on Vinyl's lips. "Right now, I think we should partake in this breakfast before it gets cold." Octavia said, taking her seat.

As Octavia munched ecstatically on her food, Scratch outlined their day, giving a hint of the excitement to come, "Octavia, I also have a few gifts to give you, you'll get them semi-randomly through the day, but you're first comes after breakfast."

Upon hearing this, Octavia literally inhaled the remainder of her food and downed her drink before staring at the shocked mare across from her with a semi-innocent smile.

"Ummm, ok, that was unexpected," Scratch stated before laughing so hard she nearly fell out of her chair, "Wait here a second, I'll be riiiiight back." She bound up the stairs.

Scratch returned not even 20 seconds later, holding a grey gift bag, topped with black tissue paper, Octavia's cutie mark emblazoned on both sides. Octavia eyed it for a bit before ripping the black paper away to reveal a purple bowtie, resembling most of the ones that hung in her closet, but with a twist. Sparkling amethysts bordered the top and bottom of the knot, and on both ends, a purple version of Vinyl's cutie mark bordered in black. Octavia was speechless. "Thought you'd like it baby, but don't stop there, keep digging." Octavia then noticed the electric blue tissue paper that layered under her tie. She ripped at it like a madpony, digging for the treasures that lay beneath.

"Tavi, you ok?" Octavia stood stock-still, her eyes bulging and her mouth agape.

"Oh my... Scratch..." Octavia started before she was cut off by the pacifier that was magically shoved in her mouth, it was also grey, with a black ring, and had Scratch's cutie mark emblazoned on it. Octavia spat it into her hooves, admiring the prize that meant so much to her. She felt her guilty pleasure made her a freak of nature, but Vinyl fully accepted it. Vinyl knew how much it meant for Octavia to get a gift like this. She knew the trust Octavia had for her to open up about this subject.

"You don't have to say anything Octavia, I love you."

Oh, Vinyl, I love you too. So much." Octavia embraced Vinyl with a warm, loving hug.

"I hate to end this, I really do, but if we stick around too long, we'll miss our carriage." Vinyl ended the embrace with a quick kiss.

"Of course, love," Octavia followed Vinyl outside, where a beautiful, top of the line carriage from the most renowned touring company in Canterlot awaited the mares.

"So next up we have a boat ride, hope your ready for an amazing day baby." Scratch stared into Octavia's beautiful purple eyes before pulling out the next gift.

"How many bits did you spend Scratch? This is ridiculous, but thank you so much," Octavia started ripping open the wrapping paper of the small box, containing a few blocks of expensive rosin for her bow.

The carriage rolled to a stop at the entrance to Canterlot Gardens. Vinyl paid the driver and tossed in a few extra bits so he'd come back in two and a half hours. Scratch quickly hugged Octavia and the two mares headed for the lake.

As Vinyl paddled away, Octavia ripped open her next gift, the highest quality bow on the market, and whistled a tune that Vinyl knew, but couldn't name. When they arrived, Vinyl set up the picnic and the two ponies munched away while laughing and sipping wine.

After arriving back at the carriage, Scratch let Tavi choose the next activity, she offered a spa day, or she could skip the rest and head straight to the last activity. Octavia let her curiosity get the better of her and chose the latter.

"Allrighty then, lemme send Twilight a little memo to speed up the, um, thing."

"What does Princess Twilight have to do with anything Scratch?

"You'll see baby," Vinyl smirked as her horn flared, indicating that her message was sent.

A few hours passed as the carriage rolled through the busy streets of Canterlot. Octavia had hoped it wouldn't be this busy, but knew they would be stuck in traffic for a while, Scratch looked like she was deep in thought, so Octavia decided against interrupting her.

When they arrived at their destination, Vinyl surprised Octavia by blindfolding her. "Vinyl Scratch. Is this really that important?"

"Why, yes it is, trust me Octavia, you're going to love this." Octavia pouted, but followed nonetheless.

Octavia was led into a building, it got darker all of a sudden. "Vinyl, where are we go-" Octavia's question was cut off by the blindfold being ripped off, while all of the friends she and Scratch shared simultaneously screaming 'SURPRISE!'

Octavia nearly had a heart attack. "Yeah, yeah, I know, surprise parties are more reserved for birthdays, but they're just so friggin' fun!!" Scratch laid a foreleg over the back of her marefriend, who returned the embrace.

"Oh Scratch, I nearly passed out. What is this for anyway?"

"I just thought it would be fun to cut loose a bit, you've been working pretty hard with the orchestra and all, I thought you might enjoy a chance to let your mane down a bit."

"Well, thank you dear, I love it, and I love you."

Octavia went to kiss Vinyl before being hit with a blast of Pinkie's party cannon, which resulted in her being showered with confetti and covered with pink and red streamers. "No time for romance, we need to PAAAAAAR-TAAAAY!!!" Pinkie was always ready for any occasion.

"Scratch... I need to tell you something, it's urgent..." The party was still in full swing, but nearing it's climactic origin.

"OOOOOHHHH!!! Tavi, that reminds me," Scratch motioned for Twilight to kill the music and lights, leaving the couple in a spotlight. She kneeled before her lover, staring longingly into Octavia's eyes. "Octavia Philharmonica, I've been thinking lately, a whole friggin' lot, just to end up finding out that no matter how long or hard I think about it, I'll never find the correct words to describe how you make me feel. You've given me a new life, Tavi, and it's a life that I've needed since I was just a filly. It's a life wherein Vinyl Scratch is happy, where I'm free of the demons that used to torment me. It's a life in which all of the skeletons in my closet have been dispelled, one filled with love, beauty, and amazing music. A life full of light. I've realized what that light is, Octavia. The light is you. Would you do me the greatest honor that can be bestowed upon a mortal pony? Would you marry me, Octavia Philharmonica?" Everypony that had attended the party were bawling at this point, save for Soarin', who had to step out to change Fyre Flye, but none of them had compared to Octavia. She didn't cry, she didn't say a word, all Octavia had done was take Vinyl into a visibly warm, loving embrace. The tears finally found Octavia, and they fell in torrents as she leaned into her lover and barely whispered into her ear.

"I'm pregnant."

I'm already not pleased with this chapter, well, except for the end. I love the end. But before anyone comments how rushed the body of it seems, save it. I know it's rushed, I didn't want it to be one of those long, drawn out chapters, but wanted to list everything, so I compromised, I hope you can look past and enjoy it!!!
