Piece of Mind is a comedic shipfic involving several unicorns, a princess or two, a small amount of Applebloom, and a manipulative, psychic chess piece with a sinister agenda. I started this either during or after Season 2 (I honestly don't remember), and don't feel like changing the whole thing. It's more comedy than it is romance, and as such, the romance is intentionally cheesy.

Piece of Mind was originally a short story written for a contest on MLP Forums (and it won!). I eventually decided to tweak the ending a bit and turn it into Chapter One of a longer story.
It is loosely based on a Luna x Chess Set clopfic posted a long time ago on GameFAQs. But don't worry, there's no clop, and the only real similarity is the fact that a psychic chess piece is of major plot significance. Also, the first paragraph may seem a bit gory, but it's just that one paragraph.
