My name is Star Clamp; the name was given to me by my parents. When I was a filly my parents told me that my name was inspired just by looking into the starry night sky. Apparently I was what held the stars in place and they said that because I meant the world to them, or what was left of it. Ok, let me think of something else about me you may want to know. Oh yes! My coat is a light gray tone and my mane is crimson with an orange streak running down the centre, likewise with my tail. My eye color is also crimson. My horns magical over glow or what I like to call “da magicks” is orange and anything levitated by my horn develops an orange glow around it when doing so. I've got to admit that I am proud of my horns orange over glow even though using it is second nature. Right let’s get to talking about my cutie mark and how I got it. When I was a filly my father, Galloping Flux gave me a tool box with many tools in it ranging from screw drivers to Allen keys but there was one specific tool that I managed to out use more than the rest which was the wrench. Over the years I created many projects and contraptions which I was very pleased with. One day my father couldn’t undo a bolt with his spanner so I used my wrench on it and got it loose, hey presto a cutie mark of a wrench appeared on my flanks. Yes I know it was a simple way to get a cutie mark but at that age I remember being more pleased about the fact that I finally got one and not the reason why. What is a pipbuck I hear you ask? Well actually you didn't ask but a have to assume you did. A pipbuck or more specifically a pipbuck nine thousand series which I own is a magically powered device that fits around the user’s foreleg like a cuff. The pipbuck has a touch screen and a menu section where everything can be selected. Pipbucks can do a range of things. One of the pipbucks features is the fact that it can lock onto enemies with any weapon that you have to be holding or levitating. The targeting feature locks onto enemies and slows time it’s called Stabletron arcane targeting spell S.A.T.S for short. Oh, if you're wondering what arcane means I'll tell you, understood by few. S.A.T.S seems to slow down time but it actually speeds up your thinking and don't ask me how because I guess that is what makes it so arcane. The pipbuck also has another main feature which is called E.F.S. (eyes forward sparkle). E.F.S. can detect any comrades, neutrals or foes in a medium to close vicinity. The E.F.S. feature can detect multiple life forms and map them out on your pipbuck represented by a dot. Comrades appear as a blue dot on the pipbuck, Neutrals are yellow and enemies are red. The wearer of the pipbuck appears as a green arrow in the centre of the screen. The E.F.S. also affirms the distance of how far away a life form may be by stating the horizontal and vertical distance next to its dot representation. That is pretty much everything I can think to explain about pipbucks that is worth saying. Ok, maybe I should mention pipbucks have a built in torch which is the coolest feature, not, but I’ve got to admit it can be helpful in low light situations. Enough blabbering on about pipbucks its time for me to tell the story and I’m sure there are other ponies that have wrote or talked about pipbucks in more depth than me if you’re so interested in them, which you’re not because my story is lots more entertaining.
