Meeting Rainbow dash's Cousin
It all started on a dark and stormy day Star Shear was flying against the hells of the sky, On the outskirts of ponyville. Star thought to herself " I should have check the weather before i left the dorm" lost in thought she hear a sudden roar of thunder. saw a flash of a bright light, she reacted instantly swerving to the right, then the left. To avoid getting struck by a high voltage of lighting before she knew it she saw a blur of color then spiraling out of control into a blackness she didn't understand this. The gray mare suddenly stopped spiraling barely conscious she saw a cyan mare beneath her, before blacking out she whispered “thanks cuz."
Earlier that morning Twilight Sparkle awakes restlessly tossing in bed, her wings folded under her in a strange way. She had a hard time going to sleep on a normal bed. She stumbled as she got up, her eyes still half closed from the restless night of tossing and turning. As the pegasi work to make the scheduled downpour all but one cyan pegasi, named Rainbow Dash.
Rainbow Dash smiled as she hovered at the window she tapped on the window as to startle Twilight, the Lavender mare leaped into the air her wings catching wind, she flew straight up into the roof of the magical library. Her head now stuck, Rainbow let herself in through the window to help the clumsy alicorn. Twilight mumbled something though the rubble that sounded like “whughba dagoo fear..?” Rainbow, having crashed many times understood this and replied with a smirk on her face as she pulled the purple mare out of the roof, “today I’m going to teach you to be a normal pegasi!” now dizzy from the removal twilight wobbled as she tried to wake up, and get a clear mind to reply finally regaining focus twilight mumbled something in a soft voice like Fluttershy's. “I thought you said you were coming by later.” Barely catching that the rainbow maned mare, dropped her ears and playfully hide behind her mane in an adorable fashion. “I couldn’t wait that long! I thought you said you would be my flying buddy.” Shyly replied rainbow with a blushed face. Twilight wings immediately shot up and she froze stuttering she spoke as best she could, “ya..yes I-I did say I would be your flying buddy.” rainbow burst into fits of laughter “Ha-ha you should have seen your face!” “RAINBOW! that was not nice!” twilight replied blushing her wings now tucked neatly beside her..
As they flew to a field where rainbow set up an obstacle course of thunder heads, battery clouds, and rain clouds she talked about the basics on how to cloud kick.. Meanwhile a grey pegasi with a long wavy pink and black mane, and tail, was sitting on her "state of the art cloud bed!" Singing along to her favorite song by the band never shout never..

Come on I thought you were going to talk to your cousin Rainbow Dash about the Sonic rain boom!”… Star Shear frowned. getting up she flew in such speed leaving a trail of pink and black fading slowly, and gave her a hard core star that said " i hate you"..but instead she replied flatly “Like I said she probably won’t remember me.”. “Spitfire disregarding the rude statement replied with a sly smile. “well then I’ll go myself and maybe tell her about that crush you had on her as a foal.”
Star looked away blushing, “fine I’ll go, in a minute.” Star said settling back into her bed.
MEANWHILE BACK IN PONYVILLE… Rainbow and Twilight were finishing their morning of training as
Pinkie Pie came hopping out of nowhere looking for rainbow to play a prank on an unsuspecting spike, before the storm. Twilight now exhausted from all the physical activity that her body, nor wings were used to, was now walking to Fluttershy’s cottage were rainbow dash had sent her to learn how to preen her wings, Twilight had just read a book about preening the night before, But not wanting to damage any feathers she avoided preening without need to. It had just started sprinkling her mane sparkling with water as she came to the door of Fluttershy’s cottage she noticed Angel was outside playing with his bunny friends she smiled and then knocked on the door. Fluttershy came to the door peering through her mane in the adorable fashion she always uses Twilight thought to herself “I’m starting to think she does that on purpose..” trying to keep herself from getting a wing boner in front of the mare of her dreams..
“I would hate if anyone found out I am a filly-fooler ...” she thought to herself. “Twilight! Come in I have been expecting you!” said the shy little pony. Twilight did as she was told. While Fluttershy went to make her special brew of tea. She lightly bucked the door closed...
IN PRESENT TIME: Rainbow dash brought her cousin to the closest house and started beating at the door worried about her cousin, it turns out the she was in luck the library was the closest building to them.. Twilight opened the door and noticed the grey pegasi on Rainbows back, Rainbow frantically asked in a pant for help, for her cousin may have been shocked by lighting , Twilight ran in and grabbed a book called “how to treat lighting shocked pegasi!”.. she called to Rainbow, “set her on the bed in the guest room! I’ll be right there.”
Rainbow did as she was told, she carefully slid her cousin Star onto the bed, covered in a green blanket,and match bed sheets. with a look of fear, and concern on her face. She studied her cousins slender body that was basically an exact replica of her own with minor differences, such as her cutie mark, grey coat, pink and black mane. She was just as she remembered her, she sighed at the memory.
Twilight galloped in levitating things beside her, such as a glass of water, a sponge, a bowl, and the book was neatly folded under her wing. She realized the previous day wings can be quite useful. Twilight wondered who this mare was and where she came from but from the look on Dashes face she could tell she cared for the mare if Twilight didn't know any better she would have thought they were sisters. She quickly got to work using a spell from the book to check her temperature, her horn glowed followed by a close flash of lightning that startled rainbow out of her memory, she realized twilight was doing something magical on her cousin and she did not like that one bit.. even though she trusted twilight she was concerned for her cousin, she opened her mouth to speak but quickly closed it.
Finally twilight broke the silence. “There that should do her up nicely! Rainbow whoever this mare is will wake up soon. She only had a minor lighting strike to her right wing I healed it though, who is this mare anyways, she kinda looks like you?” stated twilight. Rainbow glanced back and forth from her to the stilled grey image of her and then said with concern on the edge of her voice “She’s my cousin Star Shear, I wasn't expecting,” “Oh my Celestia, I’m glad that you came to me.” Replied Twilight.
“Hey, Twilight do you mind if we stay here until the storm clears over I don’t want to take her out of here and have her get… interrupted by the moaning of Star, she glanced over at her.. “ouch!!! My head!..where am i?” Dash immediately came to greet her now awakened cousin with a smile. “DASH!!!", her cousin yelled tackling her without getting off the bed her head still hazy from the spiraling.. “STAR!!” rainbow replied with the same amount of excitement.
Twilight slid out of the room unnoticed by star. "Why didn't you tell me you were coming, Star you had me worried!?" Rainbow stated with a mad and confused look. "I didn't want to bother you, it's been six years since i last saw you. I didn't think you would remember me!" Star replied in a defensive tone. "And why wouldn't i remember you, Star!? You're my favorite cousin!" Rainbow blushed barely noticeable. Star slowly got up and started walking over to Rainbow, she came face to face to her cousin then whispered in her ear "do you not remember what my parents did to us", Rainbow sank back recalling the memory..
IN THE MEMORY OF RAINBOW DASH: "hurry tie the stupid fillies down!" yelled a frantic mare, with a flash of blue, a wing slapped her in the back of her head, with a sharp pain the last thing she saw was Star laying on the marble floor with a look of hatred on her face towards her mother and father, blood oozing out of her wings, rained down on the marble floor. Rainbow yelp as she fell to the floor unconscious, gaining consciousness she heard the sing-song voice of Star as she cradle rainbows head, delicately brushing her mane from her face with her hoof, a distant look on her face. Rainbow notice the bandage wrapped around her wings, and the one on star's head.. she yawned and then spoke up. "Where are we?" Asked rainbow her voice very brittle. Noticing the movement in star's hoofs she snapped out of la-la land, Shaking her head star replied, "At a hospital, I'm So Sorry, i tried to protect you!" star said, a tear sliding down her cheek. "What Happened! What's Wrong?!" Rainbow demanded straining herself to sit up "it's my condition, the doctors said i may never be able to fly again, i'm sorry" star replied sadly. "What i don't understand! what did your parents do to you!" yelled rainbow dash. "i think it's better if you don't know." stopping briefly, she sighed and then continued speaking. "I'm leaving Ponyville, Tonight. Before you get involved!, i think it's best if you forget about me, i told the doctors that we got our injuries from falling off a cloud and landing in sand spurs, Whatever you do tell them nothing. I'm So Sorry Rainbow" Star said not able to look at the filly.
Rainbow started to weep. "Star, you're just a filly you can't live on your own! Where will you go? what will you eat! Will i ever see you again!?" "Look Rainbow i can handle myself, I'll be staying with someone i trust, I'll write you. That's all i can tell you, i don't want to leave you, your the closest thing i have to a younger sister!" and with that the gray filly gave rainbow a big hug and snuck into a passing laundry cart..
BACK IN REALITY: Rainbow was shocked when she came back from her memories that she was cuddling with her cousin, who was sleeping rainbow sighed then set her head on her cousins back and whispered "i can never forget you star" then she fell asleep. The storm still brewing, as twilight got to work study the books assigned to her by the Princesses. She thought to herself "i don't know how i could have slept last night, i don't know what i was thinking this 1,000,000 word report is due by next Friday, and
i haven't even gotten started there's so many books to read!".. she paused from thinking, and reading as she recalled she had an injured pegasi in her house. " Oh, and i have to tell what's-her-name not to fly for three days.. i don't know where she's going to stay! with all this work i have to do i can't possibly take care of a lighting shocked pegasi! And she can't stay with rainbow, because she lives in a cloud house! Ugh, so much to think about!" Twilight finally realized she was writing her thoughts down on her report paper, she panicked trying to find out where she placed the white out.
She didn't realize the sun was starting to come up and the storm was clearing until she hear rainbow fall off the bed and moan "OW! Star whatcha do that for!" star just rolled over still sleeping. as rainbow walked into the library/living room rubbing her head she noticed Twilight writing. then smiled an slipped up behind her not saying a word.
Twilight of course knew she was there, and right when rainbow opened her mouth to say "boo" but before she could the purple alicorn yawned then said " hey rainbow." turning around with a smile on her face and stretching her wings, "glad your awake could you help me by getting me that big book on the top shelf of the, 'G. section' called the guide of being a Princess?" Rainbow frowned then stubbornly stumbled to the "G. Section" then flew up to the top shelf, she browsed through, not seeing the book she moved books around, without finding it she called to Twilight "hey Twilight i don't see it over here!" twilight thought for a moment then flew to rainbow "umm.. i'll have to make a trip to the Canterlot Archives, would you mind helping your.. um.. friend find a place to stay and tell her to stay off that wing for three days. i noticed a lot of old breakages in her wings that healed correctly but look kind of strange did anything happen to her wings when she was a filly?" Rainbow looked away at this question "i'm sorry twilight i can't tell you, and i'll take care of it don't worry I already told you her names Star, And she's my cousin." replied rainbow dash. "oh, yeah i forgot, i'm sorry i'm exhausted i've been working all night." replied twilight.
