Chapter 1

"pinkie left yesterday"

*sob* "Why?"

"I don't get why your so upset shy"

"It's not like pinkie to just leave without saying goodbye, and besides what if we need to access the elements again?"

"Maybe she didn't leave on her own accord."

"DASH! there will be none of that! I'm sure she's just fine"

It all started after the reign of discord. The elements may have been able to seal, and free him but...... The elements aren't some godly artifact that can be used as a safe line. I haven't been telling the whole truth. I don't remember the last time I really have.........

"We should listen to rarity" I timidly suggested "It's not like her to just leave us"

"Lets just let this blow over, and catch some rest, I need to herd the rain clouds over to the apple farm for AJ tomorrow."

"Alright lets meet at sugar cube corner tomorrow."

"uhh clouds?" Rainbow said annoyed

"after your business" Twi said just as annoyed back.

I turned, and, with regret, headed home knowing what was going to happen that night, a tear glistening in the rising monument of Luna.

"Just like the others" she said, a tear running down her cheek, as her once lively home was filled with the eerie drool of darkness. The critters where hiding, they always did. There was no other way. "Please" Fluttershy cried. There was no sound  in the world that could make it to her already made up mind. Her cutie mark suddenly glowing, then vanishing. She was on the ground now, grinding her teeth together in the reething pain that swept over her. Wave by wave, pulsating. She wanted to let her mind go, but she knew that any second now it would end, and she would dream of the circles that tormented her fragile mind.

"hello? Please, Please stop!!"

"Why would you fight me?"

"Because this is my body, my body!"

"I'm terribly sorry if you feel as though we are intruding you, but... Mhmmmmhmm, you don't really have a choice"

"I do! I can fight you!"

"And that's why the pink one left, isn't it?"

*sob*"please just stop"

"I'm sorry my precious Fluttershy, but we've come to far to stop now."

I didn't know if I was ready for the day. "Hmm, I fed angel, and fluffed his tail.". I bit my lip lightly in thought "said bye to the rest of the critters". I smiled, ready to head out the door when my eyes suddenly fell upon the pile of glass, and bright red liquid near the door. "Oh, I almost forgot". Something like this always happened, and was one of the reasons I always dread the mornings. I sweeped up the remains and mopped the liquid, and, like always, discarded everything. "All right, time to head out" I began trotting down the path t'words ponyville. I was so unusually happy, I just had to, sing, or something. I began to trot rhythmically to pinkies smile song as I hummed the chorus. My smile furthered as I thought of the fluffy pink mare. "She will be missed". I continued down the path, now more timidly as I reached civilization. The usual, "hello" from him, and, the "how do you do?"  from her, and always the timid cute response from me. I let out a pleased sigh as I first felt the rays of warm sun on my flank.

"Hey Fluttershy!"

I jumped a little at the sudden separation from my own thoughts.

"oh, hi dash"

"Are you going to meet me, and the others at sugar cube corner?"

"I thought that you had to help A.J with her rain clouds"

"I woke up early to get it done"

"Early?" I became lost in the thought "Well, ok. I Will meet you there." I finished as the cyan pegasus turned, and took off, leaving me to, once again, explore my own thoughts. "early?" I said to myself over, and over. I mean this is Dash we are talking about. "early???" the thought began to plague me.

"shy!"

Again I jumped as my head jolted to the left to see Twi standing at the entrance' of sugar cube corner.

"You just going to walk right on by?"

I looked around, and noticed I had already trotted straight into the heart of Ponyville. I went a little cross eyed as my sense of direction slapped me.

"shy?"

"S-Sorry, lost in my own thoughts"

"isn't it a bit too early for that?"

"early?"

"never mind, lets just get inside"

I entered to see a slightly distraught looking Mrs pie. We talked to her quite a bit, but couldn't unearth any relevant info. The rest of the meeting was lack lustre, and, to be honest, I was half asleep. I was tired after all, I mean if you had..... ugh, a sick taste rolled over my tongue as i thought of IT.

"Oh Fluttershy, while we are here would you mind being a darling, and lending me a little of that fine Everfree forest gem dye you made the other day?"

"Oh, I'm sorry, but..... I had a little accident, and it kind of got, mopped up...." I frowned and remembered this morning. I spent a good hour collecting the ingredients for that dye, and I couldn't possibly ask Zecora to help me collect them again......
