It was a nice sunny afternoon in Ponyville, the birds were chirping, the leaves were rustling in the gentle breeze, and Twilight was getting ready for her first flying lesson. Being given wings is one thing, being able to use them is another. Twilight had been practicing flying, but all she could do was keep herself in the air for a couple of moments, before dropping back down to the ground. As for actual flying around… it was hopeless. Luckily for her, she has friends that are always eager to help, and Rainbow Dash jumped at the opportunity to become a flying teacher.
