The Cutie Mark's Cutie Mark Stories
The three little fillies who were part of the Cutie Mark Crusaders decided to go to Zecora's hut in the Everfree Forest. Scootaloo brought up the idea, hoping for an alchemy cutie mark. Sweetie Belle was reluctant, but Applebloom and Scootaloo were excited. She decided to go ahead with them.
They started to go into the Everfree Forest to go to Zecora's Hut. They started to walk down the path when they heard growling. "It's nothing!", Scootaloo lied, "Don't worry about it!". But as they got closer to Zecora's ut, the growling kept getting louder.
"Maybe we should just go home. We can do this another day.", said Applebloom, clearly horrified.
"Haha, I agree", said Sweetie Belle, sharing the same feelings.
"Don't worry about it girls!", said Scootaloo, "It is going to be fun!"
As they started to get closer to Zecora's Hut, the growling turned into snarling, and a horrible aroma lingered around them.
"Let's head back now, Scootaloo. This is really starting to scare me", said Applebloom shivering.
"I... I agree.", said Sweetie Belle.
"Come on, girls! We're right here! We can see her cottage!"
"...Okay...", Sweetie Belle and Applebloom hastily agreed.
Then they heard some rustling in the bushes. Before they could say anything, or treat, their were three Timber-wolves on the path. One behind them, and two in front of them. They started snarling and they realized that was where the aroma was coming from. Their breaths. They slowly started to close in on the three little fillies. Scootaloo flied up onto a tree as Sweetie Belle and Applebloom were still trapped with the creatures.
Applebloom started to kick the Timber-wolf in front of her. She kept on kicking it in the head. She had been practicing her apple bucking, and within five kicks it's wooden head broke into pieces and it's body dropped to the ground. But their was still one more to take down.
Sweetie Belle was having trouble with hers. She had no combat training, or anything like it. She didn't know what to do. The Timber-wolf closed in on her. As it was about to take a large bite out of the little filly, she thrust her head into it's jaw. It looked shocked by this, and so did she. It fell down, dead.
Scootaloo jumped down from the tree and used her wings to glide down from it. She glided until she was above the remaining Timber-Wolf. She then stopped gliding herself with her wings. She fell onto the Timber-Wolf. It was shocked to see the little filly coming down from the trees, and before it could move, she stomped on it's head. The creature fell down, it's head broken into many pieces.
They all looked at each other, scared of what they had just done. But they knew that they had to. They took the bits of wood and leaves left from the creatures and dragged them off into the forest. They decided to head back home, so that they won't encounter any more.
They headed off to Twilight's house for a librarian cutie mark. Scootaloo dislike the idea, but the other two little fillies wanted to do something tame. They knocked on Twilight Sparkle's library door, and she answered almost instantly.
"Hello? Oh, hello, girls. What are you doing here?", said Twilight.
"Cutie Mark Crusader librarians!", they said in unison.
"Alright. I'll teach you what to do to become a librarian", Twilight said.
After explaining the job to the three little fillies, they sat behind the counter. It must have been fifteen minutes before somepony finally entered the library. Carrot Top entered and as she entered she spoke.
"Hey Twilight, do you have that book I reserved?", she said. She looked up, and saw the three fillies sitting on three stools. "Oh! Hello girls! Do you know where my reserved book is? Cooking with carrots?"
"Right on it!", said Applebloom, as she got out from behind the counter. She was so short that you couldn't see her standing behind the counter. She walked out with the book and gave it to Carrot Top.
"Thanks!", she said. "And nice cutie mark", she said as she trotted out the libraries doors.
"Cutie mark?", she exclaimed. She ran over to the mirror and looked at her new cutie mark. She was shocked at the cutie mark. It was a yellow hoof hitting a pony's face, with spittle and blood flying out of the pony's mouth. She was shocked. She told the others to come in the mirror to look at her cutie mark.
They went over to the mirror to notice that they had their cutie marks as well. Scootaloo's was of herself in a black cloak with a knife in her hand. Sweetie Belle's cutie mark was of somepony being stabbbed in the stomach by a spear. As Twilight Sparkle entered, she saw these cutie marks.
"This is interesting", she said. "We haven't had fighting cutie marks in hundreds of years. I must alert he princess." She got out a scroll and quill and started to write a letter. She went into another room to wake up Spike. The three little fillies heard a burp, which must have been Spike sending the letter to Princess Celestia.
Twilight walked in and said, "This is of great urgency. You mustn't leave until the Princess arrives." She locked the door and waited for the princess. Soon enough there was a loud knocking on the door.
"Hello?", Princess Celestia asked. "Is there anypony in there?"
Twilight unlocked and opened the door for Celestia.
"Hello, little fillies", she said. "I heard you had fighting cutie marks. I would like to see them."
The three little fillies showed her their cutie marks.
"I am afraid I must take you away to prevent harm to the city and it's denizens. Come with me to my wagon and I will bring you to Canterlot Castle."
Twilight looked shocked at this, but knew that whatever the Princess had in store for these three little fillies was necessary. The three fillies reluctantly followed her to her wagon. They flew off to Canterlot.
Scootaloo took charge when they got onto the wagon and ascended into the air. Sweetie Belle and Applebloom both looked sad and scared, and were in cuddling up together, afraid of what would happen to them. "So, where are you bringing us?", Scootaloo finally said after 5 minutes of silence.
"You shall see exactly what I have in store for you three fillies when we get to Canterlot. Let me just tell you this much. We will be using your... talents... to good use.", said Princess Celestia.
"Alright", said Scootaloo, fearful of what she exactly meant by their "talents"
They were all silent until they finally got to Canterlot after an hour, but what seemed like an eternity to the three, scared little fillies. They landed, and all got off. Very quickly, eight guards came around to guard the princess. She informed one to get some guards for the three little fillies. He looked surprised, but did so anyways.
When the twelve guards came around, they all surrounded the three little fillies, and started to push them forwards. The three little fillies were shocked at the guards being so rough with them. Celestia told them to stop being so rough with the three little fillies. She started to head down to the Canterlot Castle field.
When they got there, the entire field was empty, except for a pony with a sheathed sword standing in the middle of the court, and some guards running around the track. They all started to approach the pony in the middle of the field. As they approached, they began to be able to make out some more of his details.
He was a stallion with a white coat and a bluish mane. He was wearing a pinkish set of armor. He looked rather small for a guard, especially because he seemed to be screaming things at the ponies running around the track. When they approached, they noticed something peculiar about this particular pony. He had Twilight Sparkle's cutie mark on his armor.
"Hello, Shining Armor", said Princess Celestia. "We have some young fillies for you to train."
"Alright!", Shining Armor said. "Is there anything special about these little fillies?"
"You shall see", responded Princess Celestia.
As the guards moved, Shining Armor got a stern, almost angry expression on his face. He looked at them and began to scream, while the ponies were quivering underneath him. Princess Celestia whispered something in his ear, which he responded with nods.
"Oh. I didn't realize...", he said. "Alright! Want to start with doing some laps around the track?"
"Sure!", said Scootaloo, excited to do her favorite thing; race.
"Fine...", said Applebloom and Sweetie Belle in unison, clearly not wanting to.
Applebloom and Sweetie Belle were walking behind everypony else, while Scootaloo was quickly speeding in front of many of the guards running the track. After a few minutes, she was far ahead, and was racing with the pegasus at the front who was clearly a very quick flyer.
Suddenly, Princess Celestia called the three fillies back. Scootaloo had just started getting enough speed to cut in front of the pony at the front, and was thus very sad, despite being worn out. Sweetie Belle and Applebloom were happy about being able to stop.
"Stay with Shining Armor. He is the Captain of the Guard, and Twilight Sparkle, my faithful student's brother, so you can trust him in keeping you three safe.", said Celestia, as she prepared to fly away. She took into the air, and flew to Canterlot Castle.
"Alright", said Shining Armor, "follow me."
The three little fillies followed Shining Armor as they entered Canterlot Castle. They trusted him more, because he is Twilight Sparkle's brother, and the captain of the guard. They followed him into the armory. He handed the three little fillies three small sets of leather armor, as well as handing Sweetie Belle a short sword, giving Scootaloo a knife, and giving Applebloom four iron horseshoes.
Shining Armor called in some guards to protect them and keep them safe, as he left into Canterlot Castle. Three more guards came into the Armory to protect the three little fillies. Suddenly, a horn was blown, and they all retreated through the front door.
"This can't be g--", Scootaloo began to say, as she was interrupted by the door opening, and a loud growling sound. Shining Armor opened was at the door, with a large creature chained up in his hooves. He pushed into the room, as a guard in a brass full body suit came in and unlocked the Manticore. He quickly retreated the room.
The three little fillies were horrified. They had no clue what to do to the creature. It started to close in on them. Scootaloo flew to the ceiling of the room, and waited. Applebloom slid underneath it. Sweetie Belle was trying to figure out how to run away, when it's large, poisonous stinger seemingly waited to strike.
The stinger lashed at Sweetie Belle. But she stopped it with her magic. She was clearly having trouble casting such a simple spell at such a young age, but even so she was using all of her willpower. She took the Manticore's stinger and stung it in the stomach with it. As the Manticore yelped in pain, she slid underneath it, like Applebloom did.
Scootaloo took her knife and fell from the ceiling with it. It couldn't get through all the fat and muscle, and she couldn't get it out.
"Hold it in place", screamed Applebloom, as she slid under the Manticore. Not knowing what she was doing, she held the knife in place. The Manticore went flying up a bit. It yelped in agony. Scootaloo realized she was kicking the Manticore, like she would occasionally buck apple trees back at the farm. She bucked it one last time, and the creature let out a loud yelp, and fell down, with it's eyes closed.
The three had no idea how horrifying the Equestrian military could actually be. They hid in the corner, huddling together, horrified at the crime they just committed. Murder of endangered species' was illegal in Equestria. The Equestrian military's "training" made them killers and law-breakers.
Shining Armor came into the room with a large smile on his face.
"Hey, girls! You did better then I expected!", he exclaimed happily.
"We did well?", Sweetie Belle screamed, clearly pissed off. "How could you possibly say we did well? We killed something! How could you make us kill an endangered animal! That's evil! That's horrible! That's... That's...", she started to say, before tears started to flow down her eyes. "We trusted you! You're a monster! A MONSTER!", she screamed as she fell to the floor crying.
"It is true. We are only little fillies. Why would you do something like this?", said Scootaloo, with a much better composure. "I understand that it was the Princess' orders, but you could at least have some god damn sympathy, you bastard!", she said as she took a spear from a rack of weapons and started to charge him.
Applebloom ran quickly as well. She started to run faster then Scootaloo could, in her angry state, and tackled her. "IT ISN'T HIS FAULT!", she screamed as she slapped her.
Scootaloo hit Applebloom with her wings, and dropped the spear. She then flew towards Applebloom at top speed and rammed her into a wall, knocking over racks of armor and weapons. Shining Armor sent in some guards to break up the fight. Applebloom bucked Scootaloo away, and she went flying, but quickly came back from this. She began to fly towards Applebloom again, when she bucked her across the room, into the wall.
Twenty guards came into the room to try to break the fight apart. They pulled Scootaloo, who was bleeding profusely out of one of her wings, and dragged her off, a few picked up Applebloom and dragged her off. Shining Armor stayed there, watching Sweetie Belle crying. Through her sobs he could hear a few words escape her mouth. "...Monster...Monster...you monster..."
The large group of guards was walking down the halls, the only sound being heard was the stomps of the guards as they walked down the hall. Suddenly, the group cut in two, as Scootaloo kept going forward and Applebloom turned to the side. Applebloom and her guards walked until they encountered a large train awaiting them. "It is time for some training. Alone.", said one of the guards.
Scootaloo and her guards walked a long while until they finally reached a large, brown, wooden chariot ready to be flown through the air by 2 guards. "Scootaloo, it is time for some training. Alone.", said one of the guards who was ready to pull the chariot to wherever they were headed.
Shining Armor picked up Sweetie Belle who was still crying loudly. She picked her up and whispered nine words into her ears. "It is time for some training. Alone."
