Why Does The Good Always Win?
Why must the good always win?
It's a question I have been asking for years and yet can not get an answer. How do we know who is good and who is not? Who is the messiah who came to save us from ourselves or a Satanic demon sent to bring out world to a demise? What if no one is the Hero? What if there are no Heros and Villians, and we just find comfort in rooting for someone fighting against someone else who is no threat? Perhaps it keeps us sane. Perhaps is it ment to calm our minds. We should not be asking all these questions that can not be answered, yet I find myself doing it more everyday.
I feel like my mind will soon burst from this. I feel like I need to stop it, but I can't.
Hopefully it's just a phase.
The longer it goes on, though, the harder it makes me beleive that this is just a phase and not a mental disprder causing me all this stress. I can not stop believing that it is, though.
But it's just a belief. There is no factual evidence, and what little there is from the phew who bother to put up with my pessimistic ways point to me just being insane. Well, I wouldn't call myself insane. I like to call myself gifted. I feel as though I'm part of the few who questions everything. And this question, the one as to why the good guys always win, has been with me for as long as I could remember. I am not a good person, nor am I a bad, but if two were to fight, I'd side with whoever I believe in, whether or not it'd be the 'good guy'.
That brings up another point. Who knows for sure who the good guy is and who the bad guy is? Is anyone really bad of they are fighting for what they believe? Many mistake me as to what I say, thinking I'd support a guy like Hitler. No, I would never side with anyone like him. There are, though, clear evils, and Hitler was one of them. Yes, he fought for what he believed, but what he believed killed millions of people. There should be no hesitation as to what layer of hell he is on.

Well, on to the story you actually care about, yes?
(Oh, and before was was I do ad my beliefs, something you cannot take away from me. I may be politically incorrect in some- probably most- eyes, but it is what I believe. I will not question what you believe, but you mustn't question mine.)
I woke up in my small house givento me when my parents died and rolled out of bed. I bright, sunny day in a rural place was the beautiful sight I saw as I looked out the window of my room. I figured it'd be warm, so I threw on a pair of tan shorts and a black t-shirt. It covered my dangerously under-weight body I had from not being able to eat much for the past few months. I had no job and not a penny to my name. I had a house, no electricity, running-water, or any other necessity. I live a simple life, but still wish I had at least a cashier job to get money to feed myself. Though I am living the way I am, and most people would call hell, I do not complain. All I am is a spec in the universe. A spec that is insane and cursed the way he is, but I know I got it better then most.
The cloths I put on we're anything but clean, and I hadn't taken a shower in week. I stayed away from any person who might try to help me. I do not need help. I never will.
I grabbed the only necessity I have to my name; my trumpet. I wasn't as good as most, but I knew a few songs and I cherished the brass instrument like none other. It was my Fathers until he died. It's mine now, and I clean it every day in the lake deep inside the forest behind my house and the material of my shirt. Before I stopped talking to anyone, I was told this trumpet was worth more then I could ever imagine, but I'll never sell it. I love it with all I have, and it is all I have.
I left with the brass instrument and headed towards the forest to make my usual trek to the lake to clean it. I had a path, so thankfully it wasn't a super long walk. I arrived and started to clean the instrument to my liking. I made sure to dry it off afterwards so it would cause no damage, then I played a little song. Maybe 2 minutes later I stopped.
It wasn't for the end of the song, no, it still had more yet to be completed. I stopped for the lake beginning to turn an erie green color. Dark fog emitted above it, and was coming towards me. "Come with us," a ghostly voice said.
I am not one to believe in ghosts, and I question everything, so I wasn't phased.
Well, that was until it literally grabbed me.
The fog grabbed me and pulled me towards the water. I struggled but found it to be no use in this illogical situation. I gripped tight onto my trumpet as I was pulled into the water.
I do not remember what happened, as I woke up some time later. My cloths were not wet, but my hair was damp and my trumpet had some water droplets on it. I looked around as wherever I was, which clearly wasn't home. I was in a bed, gladly, but the room I was in was dark. It gave off an evil feeling which I found oddly comforting. I studied around more until I heard footsteps coming. I panicked and dove under the bed giving me horrible cover as the footsteps grew closer. I was scared for my life as the... Creature entered the room. I wasn't as much scared as I was curious as to what this thing was. It looked like it was miss-matched with a bunch of random animals. I couldn't say a detailed description of him of I wanted to. He looked at me, cowering under the bed with a smile. " I would guess the bed in more comfy then the ground," he said.
I couldn't reply, mostly because I was shocked as to how a creature like him could talk. "What's wrong? Cat got your tongue?"
"N-no," I stuttered.
"Allow me to introduce myself. I am Discord, god of Chaos." He held out a lions paw, presumably for a hand-shake. I wearily shook it. "Oh, if you weren't such an important part of my plan, I would have had a lot of fun with a coward like you!" I didn't reply. "Well, I guess a shake is a start. Tell me, what is it that you fear about me the most?"
What? Why is he asking me that? He body is crazy, he is radiating with evil and probably is the one who put me on this room and kidnapped me! Hmm, "The fact that you can speak and are a sentient creature," I answered, trying not to stutter.
He smiled. "Oh, you think it's weird that I talk? Let me tell you about te creatures of these lands..."
