Everything You Know is Wrong

Twilight's wings fluttered open, sending gusts of wind flying out from her sides. She flapped her wings, launching herself off of the ground and into the sky. As she ascended, Twilight took notice of the landscape below her, admiring the bird's eye view of Canterlot. The wind seared through her feathers with each flap of her mighty wings. It was a soft, pleasant feeling that permeated Twilight's very being.

Twilight sniffed the air, there was a beautiful scent that lingered for a short while, before fading in the breeze. She continued to rise above the city, until she towered over the tallest buildings in the grand city. From here, Twilight could see everything. Not only was this a new way to see the world, but it was also a new research opportunity, to get in the mindset of a Pegasus.

Twilight giggled at the opportunity of a first hand learning experience. She steadied  herself, ready to dash of in whatever direction she saw fit. Her wings were new, but they felt so strong and able, Twilight knew shed be able to reach some incredible speeds.

As the wind picked up, Twilight chose her trajectory, opting to ride against the wind. She wanted to feel the mighty gusts in her face.

Twilight flapped her wings once, soaring off slowly at first, but picking up speed with each individual flap of her wings.

Twilight did multiple flips, performing an aeleron roll as she basked in the bliss of flight. She sang a happy song as she soared off into the sunset, now flying at full force.

Until she crashed.

Some sort of unseen force had stopped Twilight, causing her to face plant into the invisible wall.
