Old Friends, New Friends

It has been 3 months since the defeat of Nightmare Moon. This takes place after "Suited for Sucess, but before "Sonic rainboom"

The day was coming to an end. And thank Celestia too, after the last whistle; a week of vacation would begin, for the ponies on first shift anyway. At last, it sounded.

“See ya guys later.” A red pegasus  called as she left the weather factory.

Once Triple  got home, she saw she got mail. She went inside to open it. One was address to from Ponyville. “That’s strange; I only know two ponies in Ponyville, and I haven’t heard from them since they left.” Triple thought to herself. She opened the letter.

Dear Triple Threat,

It has been years since we last saw each other. I was reminded of you when my mom sent me a picture of you, me and Fluttershy that day before we left Cloudsdale. I know you’ve got the week off, as do I. That said, I would like for you to visit Fluttershy and me in Ponyville for the week. Meet us at my house tomorrow; you’ll know which one it is.

Rainbow Dash

" A chance to see Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy again." Triple Threat thought to herself. It would be nice to see her old foalhood friends again. She packed her saddlebag and set an alarm for 7 am, then went to sleep. The next morning Triple woke up at 7 on the dot, gather her saddlebag and left for Ponyville.  As she trotted out of her house and made her way to the out of town station, she saw Bifröst, Rainbow Dash's father. “Hey Bifröst.” the red pegasus called.

“Triple Threat?, how are you?” the rainbow maned stallion asked.

“I’m fine, just going to visit your daughter.” TT said.

“Okay, tell her I said hi once you see her.” Bifröst told her.

“I will” Triple promised. At the station, She asked the guide pony how to get to Ponyville.

“Easy, 1000 miles southwest here.” He said.

That was all the athlete needed to hear, she took off full speed ahead. It took 30 minutes for Triple get to Ponyville. Interesting enough, RD could do the same trip in 15 minutes. Still it would take the average pegasus an hour to reach the Ponyville from Cloudsdale. Rainbow was right; Triple could tell which house she lived in. To make it easier, she and Fluttershy were standing outside a white cloud house. The red pony landed in front of the other pegasi.

“Nice to see you again Triple Threat.” Dash said.

“Nice to see you again too. Oh and your father says hi,” TT replied.

“C’mon, We want to show you around, and then introduce you to our friends.” Fluttershy said.

“Wait, You're going to introduce me to the other elementals?”Triple asked in disbelief.

"Yeah, why wouldn't we?" RD asked her old friend.

After the defeat of Nightmare Moon, the six brave mares that went into the dreaded Everfree forest were dubbed "the elemental six" since they discovered they are the wielders of the elements of harmony. To know even one of them personally is a privilege that ponies all across Equestria dream of having. Triple Threat wondered  as to how the big wigs of Canterlot could look down on them as common pony. The trio of primary colored pegasi flew around town, Dash and Fluttershy  pointing out landmarks as they went. They ended at town hall.

“Well, that’s the town for you.” Dash said.

“Hey Dashie! Fluttershy!” a voice called.

The trio both turned to see a pink earth pony hopping towards them. She stopped in front of the group of pegasi. A confused look came across her face. She looked at the red pegasus that she had never seen, gasped and then sped off. After all, the new pony deserved a Pinkie style welcome if she knew Dashie and Fluttershy.

“OMC, was that Pinkie Pie?" TT asked excitedly.

"Yup, and she’s planning you a welcome as we speak.” Rainbow said with a smile.

No sooner had she finished, Pinkie returned with a cart. With the press of a button, trumpets blared, confetti was shot out of a canon, and a cake came out of the oven, all while she sang a song really fast. When she finished, she smiled really big at the newcomer. All the red pegasus gave her was blank stare of disbelief. She had heard Pinkie Pie  was the friendliest pony in all of Equestria, but Triple had no idea she would do a welcome for a complete stranger. Still, the element of laughter had done something just for her. Pinkie on the other hoof, was worried. Nopony ever went blank when she welcomed them, in fact ,they all smiled, even laughed. The pink pony looked worriedly at the blue and yellow pegasi.

“Dashie, Fluttershy, did I upset your friend I didn't know you had?" the pink asked worriedly.

Before either the yellow or blue pegasus could say anything, the red pegasus grapped Pinkie’s head jammed her tongue into the pink pony's mouth. Triple was surprised Pinkie kissed back immediately, and she wasn't shy to French kissing either. After a minute, TT pulled away.

“Looks like you made a good impression on our foalhood friend Triple Threat Pinkie.” Dash managed to say after an awkward moment.

“Wow, I’ve done my fair share of welcome to ponies new to town, but none of them ever led to us kissing.” Pinkie Pie said calmly.

“Just my way of saying thank you, nopony has ever done anything like it for me, and I bet they never thank you in the same manner.” Triple winked. Pinkie smiled and blushed.

“No, thank you for that, welcome to Ponyville. Guys, bring her to Sugarcube Corner later for her welcome party, we're to busy filling orders to do it now” Pinkie Pie giggled as she packed up the cart and went on her way in the same calm manner.

“Wow, I've never known anypony to calm Pinkie Pie down before.” Dash said.

Triple couldn't wait for the party, she'd heard  Pinkie's parties are legendary. It's said you don't know a good party until you've been to Pinkie party.

Dash led her friends to a colorful building.

“This is the Carousel Boutique.” Fluttershy said as she knocked on the door.

“Coming darling.” A voice called from within. The door open to the most beautiful pony Triple Threat had ever seen. She had actually seen Rarity's picture on a magazine cover before her trip to Ponyville, but that didn't stop the red pony from getting a wingboner.

“Hello darlings, how are you today, and who is this?” She asked,  surprised at the sight in front of her.

“Rarity, I’d like you to meet our old friend Triple Threat.” Rainbow said.

“Nice to meet you Triple Threat.” Rarity said politely.

“Likewise. Wow, your more beautiful in pony.” Triple Threat said amazed. She could feel her heart begin to pick up speed at the sight of the element of generosity.

“Thank you darling. Is it true you kissed Pinkie Pie at town hall?” The white unicorn asked, afraid the stranger would suddenly violate her personal space.

“Yes, don’t worry, it was a onetime stunt.” the red pegasus said.

“Oh thank goodness, anyway I’m actually quite busy now, I have an order to fill and must get to it, but please feel free to come by anytime during the week, I can design as dress for you easy, and get it at half price.” Rarity said with a wink.

“Thank you, I think I use it during my stay.” Triple said. She though how nice it would be to go home in a Rarity made dress, especially after the white unicorn was discovered by Hoity Toity .

“C’mon, I want you to meet the others.” Rainbow said.

The pegasi left Rarity to her work and the trio went to the library in a tree Dash had pointed out during the tour.

“Here’s Golden Oaks Library.” Dash said.

Rainbow had to knock on the door several times before it opened. A purple unicorn with her eyes on a book stood in the door way. Triple Threat couldn't help but feel giddy in the presence of Twilight Sparkle.

“Twilight Sparkle, we’d like you to meet  Triple Threat.” Rainbow said. Triple stuck out a hoof.

“It's an honor to meet you, Twilight Sparkle.” she said.

"Mmm hmm."  was all the reply she got. Twilight continued to look at her book until a red hoof smacked it away. Twilight looked up to see an annoyed red pegasus offering her said hoof. With a blush, she shook it.

“Yes, nice to meet you too, Triple Threat. Sorry about that.” She said awkwardly.

“It's okay.” Triple said understandably.

"Hey Twilight, who are you talking too? Who's the red pony?" Spike called as he came to the door.

"Spike, I'd like you meet Triple Threat." Twilight told her number one assistant.

“Nice to meet you too Spike.” The visitor said to the dragon.

“Likewise.” He said coolly.

In Equestria, you don't need a library card to check out a book, instead the librarian writes down your name and the books your checking out, that way, a pony isn't limited to one library.

“Do you have a book of advanced flying?” TT asked.

“Yes, why?”  Twilight asked.

“I need to add some trick to my collection.” the red speedster answered.

Since RD rarely read anything, there was a good chance that Triple could learn some tricks that her blue friend didn't know.

“Sure, wait here.” Twilight said. She ran to the shelves and scanned then for the book. She found it about five minutes later. “Here you are, bring it back in a week.” Twilight said.

“Thanks, I will.” Triple promised as she stuff it in the saddlebag that she hadn't had time to take off yet.

“Let’s get going, we still have to introduce you to Applejack.” Dash said.

“Okay, see you later Twilight. Bye Spike” Triple said.

“Goodbye.” Twilight and Spike called together as they left.

This time, the three took to the air. They flew to the farm Dash pointed out earlier. They landed in the orchard. Just as they did, an orange earth pony run up to a tree and kicked it with her hind legs. Apples fell from the tree.

“Hey Applejack.” Rainbow called to her. She looked to RD.

“Howdy Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy and…” Applejack stared at the newcomer in confusion. "What the hay, who's this?" AJ thought to herself.

“This is our foalhood friend Triple Threat.” Rainbow told Triple.

“Hello Applejack, nice to meet you.” Triple said excitedly.

“Nice to meet ya too, Triple Threat.” Applejack said as took an apple from the ground and cleaned it. “Have a Sweet Apple Acres apple, best in Ponyville.” Applejack offered the red pony.

“Thank you.” TT said as she took the apple and bit it. It was the best apple the red pegasus ever had. “This is the best apple I ever had!” Triple exclaimed. She had to make it known.

“Makes great cider too.” Applejack winked. “Anyway, Ah gotta get back to work, nice meeting ya Triple, see ya later Rainbow, Fluttershy.” Applejack said as she and raced off to another tree.

"Why is she kicking the trees?" Triple asked Dash.

"It's called applebucking, it's how the apple family harvest the apples from the trees." Rainbow explained.

She went on to tell Triple of the time Applejack tried to harvest all the apples by herself and wouldn't except any help until it got the better of her. Triple couldn't help but laugh at the story.

"Let's get going before Applejack finds out I told you." RD said.

The trio took off again, this time, Fluttershy wanted to show Triple her cottage at the edge of town. Fluttershy knocked on the door. TT was upset to see a bunny answer it.

"Hello Angel." TT said grudgingly.

Angel Bunny stomped his foot in reply. "Oh, it's her." Angel thought to himself.

He, Nor Triple and Rainbow forgot the lioness incident.

Said bunny couldn't be bothered to tease the red and blue pegasi, he was hungry and wanted his dinner . This was always the easiest message to get across with Fluttershy.

"Okay Angel, I'll feed you. Guys, I'll have to catch up with you later." Fluttershy said.

“Alright, we’ll see you tonight then.” Dash said. They could see the sun beginning to set.

“We’d better get back to town.” TT said.

As they flew back to Sugarcube Corner, it hit Triple.

“ Wouldn't of it been easier if you just gathered you friends in one place and met them all there?” the red pegasus asked.

“Yeah, but they were all too busy today, but they’ll all be available to hang with at the party, so you can get to know them better then.” Rainbow said.

Needless to say, Triple Threat was looking forward to it.
