The Last of the Locust

I'm going to try to make every chapter 1,000 words, at the least. Here's something I advise listening to

The ship's engine had been hit by some rocks and was out of play. Luckily, they were going to make it into a tunnel leading down into some old caverns. It was an old tunnel for Locust submarines to come out of.

They had found it out awhile ago, they've been planing to gather all the other smart Locust and build some type of living down there. For they knew the COG will win this dreaded war, with a squad like Delta, it was inevitable. They hoped to come out when it was all over and make some kind of treaty with the Humans.

Jeke lead the submarine into the tunnels. Bal and Ryder maned each Troika turret, in case they had to shoot some rocks in the way, Old tunnels were infamous for collapses and hostile sea life.

They had found a little submarine depot down here, the Submarine they were riding in was taken from there.

Before the ship could explore the ancient tunnels, a large octopus that was hiding at the entrance to the tunnel latched unto the ships front. Both Bal and Ryder began firing both of the death machines at it, hardly doing anything to loosen it's grip on the ship.

The ships hull was about to be breached, if it did, everyone on the inside were going to die. Furious at the thought of his friends dying at the hands (Tentacles) of this thing. Bal aimed for the eyes and blasted them to hell. Soon, the sea beast retreated back into the cave.

Although the sea monster ran away, Jeke still had bad news. Due to the attack, the submarine was now unable to move any further. They were sitting ducks waiting for the plucking.

They had only two options. Swim back up and face Delta, or swim into the cave with that Big Fucker and other bad things inside it. The group decided to take what ever they can carry and swim into the tunnel with flashlights and Air Tanks.

Bal took both of his guns, but left his Ink Nades.

Ven took his Scorcher with the fuel and a extra Snub Pistol.

Vels strapped his Digger to his back and carried his Cleaver.

Ryder took both of his guns and the COG helmet. he was able to change the visor into a more redish color, instead of the COG Blue

Jueo took his shield and Booshka and strapped his Flail to his back.

Rae wore his Armored Dress and left his Hammerburst II.

Ron took his red bunker buster of a shotgun.

Jeke took his scope-less Longshot.

With all the gear they could carry, they opened the hatch that went outside.

The tanks were heavy, but they continued on. They all decided to hunt down Mr. Sea. (That's what they named the big octopus) once they got to the Sub Depot, if it had planted its eggs or something in this cave, then they must crush them.

A big rock blocked the route they were taking. Bal gurgled an order to Jueo to blast it to hell, which he did with gusto.

Some god up there must be in the mood for some henti or something, because the rock had another Octopus and it's family on the other side.

Jueo blasted his Nade launcher in it's cavern, killing a small monster and making the mother aware of there position. The mother's tentacles all tried to grab them. Jueo used his shield spin to cut the limb away. Ryder chainsawed the thing off his body. Vels ripped the thing off him with his cleaver. Rae spun in his suit of armor, shredding the thing off him. But everyone else was stuck in it's grip.

Vels suddenly had a idea. Vels got his Digger off his back and pointed it down a massive tentacle and with a rare speaking, launched the creature down the arm while gurgling the word "Dig!"

The idea worked perfectly. It went to his head and exploded, showering the cavern in ink, brain matter, and blood.

Where the creature was staying, a airlock was at the back of the cavern. it was labeled "Homeboy 7"

Rae was the one to open the airlock. Vels and Jueo could just barely fit inside it. Inside the airlock was another door, a few lockers. Ron and Ryder searched all the lockers and found nothing.

While inside, they all decided what to do. All the air tanks were running low. None of them explored the tunnel system, so none of them knew what Homeboy 7 meant. For all they knew, Homeboy 7 was a Berserker mating chamber. They all shuddered at the thought.

In the end, Bal and Rae, the team's leaders, were left with the choice making. And they decided to open it.

Jeke was elected to open the door. Jeke's clawed hand grabbed the lever that opened the door, and with one mighty tug, opened it.

A massive spool of light poured onto them, forcing them to shield there eyes with there hands. Then suddenly, the spotlight turned off.

Bal lowered his hand to see what the light was, he was surprised to say the least.

All around the cavern they were now in, were Locust. Smart Locust by the looks of it. They had a guns at the ready pointed at the door, Bal even saw a Troika turret perched onto a pile of rock. Beside it, was a multi-turret with Boomshots.

In the center of the cavern, a big glowing pad lied on the ground.
