The Reaper

                                      Simply a normal day in Ponyville, you know if that can happen. Rainbowdash was doing her training for the wonderbolts AGAIN. While Twilight studied her sanity out in case there was something she might need to know about anything. Pinkie was just breaking physics as usual. All was perfectly normal until rainbow attempted to perform a spiral sonic rainboom, which was the only thing that was deemed impossible.

                  When Dash was attempting it the viewers could have sworn that she was about to break the light barrier at the rate she was accelerating. Unfortunately the wind sheer had grown far too much than she could handle and she spiraled out of control crashing in the very center of the Everfree forest.

               "As much as I hate to say it I  NEED HELP!" The wounded Pegasus screamed. She felt her heart drop as she realized she may have just attracted her own demise. Immediately after she thought of that she heard a noise she never wanted to hear. She heard the sound of a manticore, and with her wings now fractured there was no way she could escape this.

'SOMEPONY ANYPONY PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME!'. She thought  in sheer terror as the ferocious creature raised its claw into the air.

"Purge the darkness, Kozehime" Rainbow opened her eyes when she heard the voice and witnessed as the creature before her.  It was tall almost as tall as Celestia. " I doubt you can understand me but I give you two choices. First you can flee from here with your tail between your legs. Second choice" it said with a now creepy look in its eyes."You die." The manticore predictably chose to attack, but before anything could have been seen Dash blacked out.

                                                 5 hours later

   Dash's vision slowly faded in and she slowly noticed her friends were at her bedside but there wasn't the creature she assumed bad saved her."What the heck happened who dropped me here"

"We don't know, we found you unconscious at the door of he hospital" Twilight said, obviously worried out of her mind."And what was this creature you were talking about."

"There was his thing, it walked on its hind legs and obviously fought the manticore I was attacked by when I crashed" Dash explained half believing the story herself. Everypony's eyes turned to a note that wasn't on Dash's bedside a moment ago.

"I know you have some questions but I sense your friends will not trust me if I reveal myself at the moment, when you are alone then I will answer." Dash had read the letter out loud, of course this just made them all more suspicious. "Guys I know what you're thinking but his creature had to be good it saved me and even told us when it was going to drop by again."

Twilight's eyes grew as she stared at the back of the note. "By the way the purple one can stay if you are feeling insecure" was written on the back of it.

"I don't like this but if this the only way we are even going to see this fella, I guess I'll go, but we'll be right outside if you need anything just holler" AJ said confident that her friends could defend themselves if something went wrong but nervous about what ever it was that was coming.

"Alright they're gone so are you gonna so yourself or what" Rainbow exclaimed.

"No need to shout I'm right here" Twilight turned around to see a tall cloaked figure behind her. "So any questions?" He said with a friendly smile on his face.

What on Equestria is this thing. I've never even heard of something like this. What seemed like minutes passed in mere seconds as she looked at the creature in fear and curiosity. She had studied everything on bipedal creatures and within no book did she find such a peculiar looking being, she was about to ask a question when she noticed his face turn to that of annoyance.

"Hold on I will be right back" After he said that he vanished from sight. Then AJ Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie all fell through the door all of which were embarrassed as they were found out, while that thing stood over them. "It's not polite to spy." It was frightening as It said this without a hint of emotion in his voice, good or bad.

"Sorreh Twilight, had to be sure you were okay" Applejack looked up at the creature. "Now what in Tartarus are you" she demanded of the reaper, insulting him with the mere look in her eyes.

"See this is why I didn't come out before I knew hat she would have this reaction to me, but I guess I sensed her wrong I thought she would be honest and leave us alone." He said loudly," But she is nothing but a distrustful liar." This insult made Applejack's blood boil she stood for the element of honesty and he had just called her a liar.

"Why you little varmint come 'ere!" Applejack shout will the complete intention of ramming him out the window. Right as her head was about to make contact, he vanished again and AJ just fell straight out e window, she prepared herself for agonizing pain.

But it never came, AJ instead found herself in the arms of the creature she had just tried to harm. In the next second she found herself standing next to him back in Dash's room. However  he immedietly disappeared once the door had started to open again, inside walked a pink pony with a cotton candy mane. "HI GUYS, my pinkie sense told me that there was somepony new in town and it seemed to be pointing this way." She exclaimed in a disturbingly gleeful tone. "AHHHHHHHHHHHH, EVIL CREATURE IT'S GOT EVIL FEATURES!" She exclaimed while pointing straight at him. Since he knew that she had spotted him he decided it was best to go back into the room. He then looked at her with slight anger in his eyes.

"My name is Codenza"

        'Jesus fucking CHRIST these ponies are hard to make first impretions with I want to be a good guest in this world hell I even saved one of their friends and they still don't fucking trust me I swear if i don't either get some respect soon I'll have to...'

"thank you, for saving my life" he looked over to the cyan mare that had interrupted his thoughts."And thank you for not letting Applejack hit the ground." Her voice seemed to be made of sincerity and just a little fear.

"Wait, you saved her life, AND Applejack's, I'm sorry for thinking that you were evil mister." She said while slightly looking at the ground, but then her eyes perked up. "I NEED TO THROW YOU A TRIPLE PARTY!"

"I don't know why your thanking me, what else was I supposed to do just let that weak creature eat you when you can't even fight back" The mane six gasped when they heard him call the manticore weak."I'm guessing your gonna want to know how I protected us both well let me start with showing you one of my powers that way we can get out of here." He put his hands over Dash's broken wings and his hands glowed like an arctic aurora, but what the mane six had seen was him using what looked like the very power of Celestia's mane." There try and move 'em now and let's see if it worked"

"Are you crazy, she shouldn't even stand up with the amount of broken bones she has and you want her to try and FLY!" Twilight said infuriated that someone would be so inconsiderate

"Twi"

"I mean really her condition might get even worse if she moves at all, are you just stupid or inconsiderate"

"TWILIGHT" Dash screamed as she flew around her friend. "He completely fixed me up with whatever it was he used." Twilight stared in disbelief for a few seconds.

"Wha- bu- how did yo- I CANT EVEN USE HEALING MAGIC YET" Twilight exclaimed as she pouted, but then her ears pircked up "By the way how is it that your able to teleport without any charge or sound"

"Heh i'll answer any question you have if you do me one little favor" Codenza said smiling.

"What." Twilight asked

"Show me the best place around here to eat and treat me to something there." Twilight pointed out the window to Sugarcube corner across town. Before she could even turn back to look at him she noticed she and all her friends were standing just outside of the shop, and that the wind had suddenly picked up incredibly for a second. Pinkie just thought he was like her.

"Shall we go" Codenza asked everyone already knowing the answer. As he sat down he noticed that Twilight sat across from him, probably to get a better spot for asking questions. Rainbow Dash had sat next to him, no longer afraid of the creature that saved her and healed her. "So do they have any pie here". The moment he asked that one of the chef's here had brought over an apple pie and set it in front of him.

"Any friend of the Elements is welcome here" She said.

"Thank you it smells delicious" ' I took one bite before going into flavor epilepsy, this thing was fucking delicious. Dash then noticed something was poking her and looked down at Codenzo's sword, he hadn't taken notice as he was pondering what possibly could be the recipe for a masterpiece of pastry.

"So now that your eating I would like to ask you a few things" Twilight started

"Actually Twilight I'd like to ask him something first" Dash said with a stern voice that let Twilight know she WAS going to ask him first. "When you saved me you said something about darkness and then you said a name, what was that about?"

"Ah," he said as he removed his sword and sheathe from his belt. "the name was Kozehime that is the name of my Zanpakto, and before you ask a Zanpakto is a special sword that allows us to send the souls of the dead to the afterlife, and punish the souls of the evil."

"Well what is so special about this sword," Rainbow asked perplexed by the swords importance.

"This is not just a blade Kozehime is a living being its' soul is connected to mine." upon hearing this Rainbow's eyes got wide and Twilight was just more confused."With it I can use certain abilities let us go outside and I will show you.

    Dash Twi and Codenza walked out into an open field. "So what exactly is it that your blade does." Twilight asked, Codenza just looked at her and smirked, drawing his blade.

"Purge the darkness, Kozehime!" Codenza was now wearing a black robe while Kozehime switched from being a normal looking sword to a somewhat threatening scythe. And that was when Twilight noticed it as Codenza went to demonstrate his abilities she saw that he wasn't teleporting, he was using some technique to move at such high speeds the eye can not see it. "While in this form i can actually see life force plants glow green, animals red and anything hostile a bright burning white. Plus my scythe can phase through any abiotic material such as rock."

"Thats slightly terrifying" Twilight admitted

"That sword is at least 20% cooler than  I thought before." Rainbow Dash said staring at the scythe.

"there is another stage of power though, one that if I had I would be at least five times stronger than I am now" Twilight and Dash's jaws dropped. "It's called bankai and if i could learn to use it I could protect everyone." Twilight just smiled at that. "Zanpakto are unique no two of us have the same one, they are what define us"

"So they're kinda like cutie marks" Rainbow gestured to her and Twilight's flanks.

"yeah I guess so" Codenza responded

"Hey you keep saying 'us', what exactly are you" Twilight asked.

"I am a soul reaper." Twilight and Dash's eyes widened out of fear but let him explain so as to not cause a misunderstanding. "No I do not harm the living i actually protect them, my job is to defend the living and the dead from evil souls known as hollows and to help the good spirits move on to the soul society. The soul society is where good spirits go when they move on from the human world , that is my species by the way, once you are in the soul society you may train to become a soul reaper and help others as they have helped you."

"WOW"

"Really wow thats it? okay."

"YOU CREATURE STEP AWAY FROM THE ELEMENTS AND COME WITH US AT ONCE." Royal guard had surrounded  Codenza.

"YOU KNOW I JUST GOT FINISHED EXPLAINING MYSELF AND I DON'T WANT TO DO IT AGAIN SO SOON!" Codenza shouted as he returned Kozehime to normal.

"If you do not come quietly we will take you by force. Twily get away from that thing!" Shining Armor said

"You know I don't like it when people order me or my friends around!" Codenza drew Kozehime and stood in a battle stance. They both knew they had no more words to say to eachother so shining armor drew his sword ready to strike.

"STOP, Shining Armor I told you not to engage the creature unless needed."

"Well I kind of declined his demand  and i will deny going with you as well." Codenza said not caring that there was a pegasus unicorn before him.

"INSOLENT BEING!" Twilight stared shocked at what was transpiring. "YOU DARE INSULT THE PRINCESS OF EQUESTRIA"

"With all do respect princess," Codenza began a smirk on his face, " Blow it out your ass." Twilight could not believe what she had just heard, such disrespect towards the princess. The princess had heard enough, not once in her entire existence had someone showed such blatant disregard for her authority. She launched the fastest and most powerful knock out spell she knew and launched it at him, he just stood there waiting for it to hit, then when it was about and inch from his chest he flash stepped to behind Celestia. He brought down his sword and cut through her mane, Celestia dodged just before it struck her skin. She saw he was much more powerful than she anticipated so she did the only thing she could, she used the power given to the royal family. Purple flame leaked from her eyes and horn, then they surrounded her wings. " HAHA finally getting serious now are we!" He exclaimed surprisingly happily. "Purge the darkness KOZEHIME!" Celestia shot a bolt of purple lightning at Codenza. "Hado four, Byakurai!" a blue bolt of lightning shot from his finger, colliding with Celestia and creating an explosion both beautiful and terrifying. The ponies all saw just how strong this person was, but Twilight remembered he could still get much stronger. The smoke cleared from the magic torn battle field, to reveal both participants were unharmed and Codenza had sheathed Kozehime. "My apologies for the rudeness princess," the beginning of his statement shocked all that heard it. "but I had to make sure my new friends' ruler was strong enough to protect them."

"No I should be sorry," upon the princess saying these words the whole nearby population that could only say 'WAIT WHAT'. "You are not from my Kingdom but I still expected you obey my command."

"It is fine and if there is anything you want to know about me just ask Twilight I've already explained it to her, however there is one thing i need to say to you."

"What is that"

"There is an enormous purple bear thing heading this way FAST." He said before flying past the princess toward an Ursa Major. "You are large, but you threaten to hurt these ponies, I cannot allow that to happen HADO 54 HAIEN!" In almost an instant a tsunami of purple energy enveloped the Ursa, incinerating it, there was nothing left behind. Celestia and Twilight were in awe (although Celestia of course didn't show it), while Dash had let out a fangirl squeal. Cadenzo just turned to face the group. "Now it is getting late is their anyone who knows a place i could stay" and as a response without skipping a beat ...

" MY HOUSE YOU CAN STAY AT MY HOUSE OMYGOSHOMYGOSHOMYGOSHOMYGOSHOMYGOSHOMYGOSH THAT WAS AWESOME!"
