Chapters It was a rainy day in Cloudsdale/ Ponyville, because the pegisi were getting ready to have a thunder storm down in Ponyville. All of the pegisi were finishing up, all of them except for Derpy Hooves who was on her lunch break. Her lunch included: Muffins and Apple juice. She had finished her juice box when she decided to devour the muffin whole. She took a big bite out of the blueberry muffin when suddenly, she yelped in pain.
" Why did that hurt so much? I hope it will go away..." said the worried grey pegasus. To her surprise, her boss Rainbow Dash and her coltfriend Soarin came in. They had apparently heard the yelp and came to see what had happened.
The concerned boss asked when she saw her wincing.
" Derpy is everything alright? We heard a cry in pain and we came to see what was wrong..." To which Derpy replied.
" *sighs* No... you see a few days ago, I somehow got a toothache... it was easy to deal with when I first got it, but now it hurts really bad." She finished her story and now tears were coming down her face. Soarin walked over to where she was and wiped the tears away. He then spoke.
" Why haven't you gone to see Colgate yet? She might know what was going on and she can help find and fix the problem." Soarin concluded. Derpy was then frozen in spot. She hadn't told anypony that she was afraid of the dentist. She was trying to hide her nervousness when the concerned boss noticed the fear in her eyes. She walked over and put a hoof around Derpy.
" I can see that you are afraid. But that does make me curious as to know, why haven't you gone to see Colgate? Is it because you don't have time in between jobs or is it for a different reason? You know you can tell me anything." Derpy let those words sink in before she spoke with hesitation.
"Can we talk about it in private please? I hope I can trust you two to keep this secret..." Rainbow and Soarin were quiet as they listened with concerned looks on their faces. When Derpy finished Rainbow Dash nodded her head in agreement before speaking.
" I know I can speak for myself, and maybe even Soarin too when I say this: you can trust us with anything you want us to keep private. We promise . Or at least I do." She said that last part with a smile and a chuckle. Soarin nodded in agreement then spoke.
" You can tell us anything you want. I swear as long as I wear my Wonderblots uniform I will keep it a secret." He also added with a smile. Derpy then asked," Can I tell you this secret in a more private area?" Rainbow Dash nodded her head in a "yes" motion.
Rainbow Dash's office was not too far from the break room, and yet it felt like a mile long journey according to Derpy.
" What will Rainbow Dash and Soarin think of me? Can I really trust them? Will I get fired for being afraid? What am I gonna do? Will I have to tell the full truth or can I tell a little and still be alright?" She had thoughts of what was gonna happen when she was pulled into reality by Rainbow Dash's voice talking to her. " Alright were here. Come on in" she said. Derpy soon came back into reality and hesitantly trotted in, Soarin close behind to make sure that Derpy didn't escape.
They all were seated when Rainbow asked, " Is this private enough for you?" Derpy nodded in agreement. Soarin then asked, " Is there something you wanted to tell us?" Derpy just looked down, while Soarin and Dash exchanges worried looks.
"Better now then never..." she sighed. "*sighs* You see, when I was a filly, My brothers would always tell me this tale on how Colgate would cook ponies with bad teeth up into a brew and use that brew in the laughing gas. Then later on in my life I was nervous about going and they were laughing and mocking me. They also mocked me about my eyes and how they are different. It all resulted in me bucking them in the face and giving them a black eye that lasted for weeks... I have been afraid ever since then, not just of Colgate, but of them and what they might do..." By this point, tears were coming down her cheeks. In that time, Rainbow Dash and Soarin gave her the proper space. They nodded and Dash came and put her hoof around Derpy while Soarin stroked her back in a comforting manner. Rainbow soon said:
"Of course they will tell you all that. Their your brothers! There going to tell you that to scare you. I would know,and I know that you may be afraid of what they are going to say because of the incident but you did what you did and there is no changing that. But you having a raging toothache means that you may have to go see Colgate about it. Hey, if you want, Soarin and I can go with you, right Soarin?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"Of course! We are always here for you." Those words brought reassurance over her. Derpy let the words sink in before hesitantly asking.
"Is what you're saying true? Will you really be there for me the entire time? Even when I'm in the chair if I go?" Derpy asked with a hopeful yet skeptical look on her face. Rainbow Dash smiled reassuringly at her and said with a very gentle tone which would make even Fluttershy jealous.
" Of course, I am the Element of Loyalty after all. We will be there from the time when you make the appointment to the time you leave the office. We will be there for you right now and anytime you have troubles like this." Rainbow Dash said.
"I promise. I will even Pinky promise on this one myself." Soarin comforted. They let those words sink in then Derpy hung her head in defeat.
"Alright if you promise, then I'll go." Derpy admitted with much hesitation.

"Alright if you promise then I'll go..." Derpy said with much hesitation. Soarin and Rainbow Dash looked at each other with a pleased smile then back at Derpy who had her head still hung down. Soon after that they heard a loud crashing sound.
"What was that?!" they all said in unison, still shocked at the fact that there was a loud noise.
"I don't know but I will check. Soarin, why don't you stay here with her while I go check to see what happened." Rainbow Dash aid, breaking the silence that had just happened.
" Right and please be careful. For all of our sake's. I will be here when you get back." Soarin said still with his hoof around Derpy. Then Rainbow confirmed in a nod and left to see what the big commotion was all about. That left only Soarin and Derpy, who was sobbing silently, but it wasn't quiet enough for Soarin to notice.
" Derpy," Soarin said in a soothing voice, "Everything will be alright, you heard what Rainbow Dash said, everything is gonna be alright. Now I know you are scared but we will be right there for you, and you know that You don't have to panic but we know that you are afraid of Dr. Colgate. But she won't cook you up in this so called cauldron alright? She doesn't do it anyway and your brothers were just messing with you.I promise that Rainbow and I will be there for you, there is no need to be in pain anymore if you let us take you to go see her and let her fix the problem." Soarin concluded.
"But how can you be so sure? Can she take us all and cook us up? How can you be so positive in this time? Are you so sure that everything will turn out fine? I know that it is important to have it looked at and have it fixed but I can't go. But the thing is, they story I told earlier was only about half of it. I wasn't sure that I needed to tell the entire story to Rainbow Dash, considering I could have gotten fired for telling the entire story..." Derpy finished with tears flowing down her face. She was breathing heavily and hiccuping in the process. Soarin had given her the appropriate space and walked over to the phone. When Derpy finished, he paused in mid-air.
"WHAT?! You didn't tell us the entire story?! Why didn't you tell everything!? Rainbow Dash is very understanding and caring towards her friends and co-workers. She will understand I promise. remember when she broke her wing? Once she told her friends that she liked to read she was able to tell them anything. She will be able to help you if you tell them anything I promise that you that she won't fire you if you tell her the entire story." Soarin comforted. Derpy had just stopped crying and realized that she could tell them the entire story.
" The real story should be told, but how can you be sure that I won't get fired? I guess I will have to take that risk..." Derpy said. Rainbow Dash soon came back into the room to find Soarin stroking Derpy's back in a circular, soothing manner. She got a smirk on her face that almost made her blush. She had that smile that almost said" That is so heartwarming and cute."
Finally breaking the silence she spoke.
"So I'm gonna assume that things went well and everything turned out alright." Rainbow Dash concluded. Soarin looked at her with a look that almost said," Yeah, and how long have you been there anyway?" and Rainbow got the clue.
" I walked in when Derpy mentioned the not telling me everything for fear that she may get fired. I soon realized that she was that nervous. Another thing,Derpy you can tell me anything and I do mean ANYTHING and I won't get mad I swear. I promise that I will listen and I will try to help in the best way possible and I will be there for support when I need to. It's alright, you can tell me anything." Rainbow said reassuringly to the gray pegasus.

Well here you go... sorry about the wait. But here it is...
Derpy was super nervous when she was on the phone with the receptionist, but she was able to make the appointment with much regret. True to their word, Soarin and Dash were right next to her and they helped her figured out how to even make the appointment. Them not knowing, but the receptionist was somepony that they knew and knew very well. After the call, Derpy put her face in her hooves, and she started to cry. Dash had a few ideas on why she was. She was sure that she as nervous as a turkey on Thanksgiving. Dash had been rubbing her hoof in a comforting circular motion. As she was doing so, she spoke.
" Nothing is gonna hurt me now , but when I go tomorrow at three in the afternoon, pain will be all over me, not just in my mouth, but everywhere else as well when she comes at me with her instruments of torture and turns me into laughing gas. I can't believe I even agreed to doing this in the first place... I don't want to go..." Derpy said as more tears came down. Rainbow went over and had gotten her some water for the three of them. Derpy nodded and took the water and drank it all, almost in one gulp. Soarin was sitting right next to Derpy, letting his coat get all soaked due to Derpy had been leaning on him and crying. When he was sure that she had calmed down, he excused himself to go and get cleaned up, But what he was really giving the girls a chance to talk. Rainbow had caught on to what he was doing. She had nodded her head as to say that she knew what he was doing. When he left the girls started to talk, but it was mostly Rainbow doin most of the talking.
Rainbow was stroking Derpy when the idea struck her. Her eyes widened in glee but she realized, as her eyes went back to normal size that Derpy might not like the idea of it. Dash let Derpy calm down a bit more before being careful about her word choice.
"I have an idea. Why don't you come over to my house tonight and sleep over. That way, we can make sure that you actually go to your appointment and so Soarin and I can come with you. But the choice is yours." Rainbow said in a comforting manor. All said while she had a smile on her face. Derpy had felt safe and really assured when her boss had said the plan that had struck the rainbow maned pegasus. She had nodded her head and spoke, as if she had not just been bawling her eyes out like a small filly.
"Are you sure that you want me to come to your house? I like the plan but, are you sure?" Derpy asked questioning her boss.
"Of course I want you and Soarin both over tonight. That way, we can help get rid of any lat minute worries that you may have." Rainbow said very calmly. Derpy's ears perked up when she hears a door open. It was Soarin, coming back from "cleaning himself up". He came in just in time to hear Derpy's answer.
"If you insist, then I will." Derpy answered. Rainbow smiled.
"Hey Soarin, you and Derpy are coming over to sleep tonight. I will explain why later." Dash said with a bit of a firm voice. Soarin nodded in agreement while he looked out a nearby window.
" We should probably get going, the sun is setting and nightfall will soon be upon us. I don't think it would be a good idea to fly at night in a lightning storm." Soarin said after observing the outside city of Clouds Dale. They all nodded in agreement and left the office where Rainbow went through and shut the lights off. Rainbow asked herself if this was a good idea but quickly said it was and she was doing the right thing.She thought about hayfries and oats for dinner. Her thoughts were interrupted as Soarin looked at her with a weird look.
"What? Is there something wrong?"
"No. Just you seem to be thinking about something and thinking pretty hard too. Which is something you normally don't do." Soarin pointed out.
" Well I was thinking about dinner. Hayfries and Oats sound good?" Dash asked her guests. They nodded their heads in agreement. They all left for Rainbow's home where Soarin and Rainbow Dash didn't know, but Derpy would tell them everything.
When they reached the home of the weather manager Rainbow unlocked the home and welcomed her guests inside of it. Derpy had been somewhat soothed and comforted when stepping into the house of her boss. Soarin saw the calm look on her face and he smiled at her. Dash got started on the Hayfries and she walked into the living room, where Derpy and Soarin were quietly sitting on the couch and looking around.
"You two seem real quiet." Rainbow pointed out.
"We were just waiting on dinner." Soarin said. But what Dash and Soarin didn't know was that Derpy was ready to tell them everything.and by that she would tell them the full story.
"I'll go check on the fries alright?" Dash said as she got up and left the room. Soarin and Derpy nodded and Rainbow left the room, for Soarin to find that Derpy was shaking all over again.
"Derpy, is everything alright? Are you cold?" Soarin asked.
"No to both questions. I'm just thinking about telling you all the full story of why I haven't gone to see Colgate and I'm just worried with the outcome." Derpy said very hesitantly. Soarin put a hoof around Derpy and pulled her in for a hug. The hug was tight, yet it was comfortable to Derpy and she was starting to not shake as much as she was.
"Derpy," Soarin began. "Everything will be alright. You heard what Rainbow Dash said, everything will be alright. I also recall her saying that you can tell her anything and she won't get mad. The same goes for me, you can say whats on your mind and we will try to help in the best way possible. That's a Pinkie promise." Soarin comforted. They soon heard Rainbow say that dinner was ready and they can come get it. They enjoyed the meal and soon they were in the living room where Derpy prepared to tell them the entire story.
" I have to tell you a story." Derpy said.

Chapter 5: the story begins
" I have to tell you a story. It's he full version of what I told you both earlier. It does begin when I was a small filly, and Colgate's dad was the dentist in Ponyville. He had just finished checking my teeth when I walked out to see my brothers holding a bottle of some clear liquid. It so happened to be water and it wasn't a small cup no, it was a big ten gallon water jug which they poured all over me as they left. We went home and they were still laughing and then they noticed the next day, my eyes were like they are now. So they stated to tease me about that, as well as the water thing. They said one thing that got me madder then Cranky when he came to town. they said that I would never get a cutie mark and I would always be worthless. But I had yelled that I had enough. The anger came over me and about ten second later, I found my eldest brother on the floor with two black eyes that I had apparently given him. Not ten seconds after that, I did the same thing to the other one, leaving them both to fear me for the next year or so. But when they learned a year later that I was afraid of dentistry, they started all over again, and after I had enough, I broke one of their front legs. For my eldest, it was his right, and the other, I broke this left leg. So the years came and went and I haven't told, or said anything to them. But here I am now, I still haven't said a thing to them. I think tomorrow marks about thirteen years of not talking to them. So there you have it. That's why I'm afraid, that explains why I'm still mad at my brothers. I hope that explains everything." Derpy said her head hung low while tears began to flow again. Rainbow and Soarin were listening quietly, while Dash had a puzzled look on her face.
"If I may ask, what did your parents do in this?" Dash said having the thought cross her mind.
"My parents were taken by Celestia moments before I left the office. They had to go and fight in battle where they unfortunately lost their lives. But now I am still living strongly." Derpy said. She hadn't hesitated to say the last part. They all then heard a grandfather clock go off ten times. Then Derpy yawned.
"Were sorry for your loss Derpy," Soarin began. "But at least they died doing something good and worthwhile." Soarin said looking at the very exhausted Derpy.
"Well looks like it's time for bed." Dash said with a chuckle. "Derpy do you want the guest room, or the couch?" Rainbow asked the female house guest.
"Can I have the guest room please?" Derpy asked with nervousness in her tone.
"Sure you can. Now there's cups in the third cab nit on the right in the kitchen if you get thirsty. Help your self to anything in the fridge. If their is anything that you need or stuff you can wake me or Soarin up. The bathroom is third door on the left on the first floor and the restroom on the top floor the restroom is the first door on the right. The guest room is second door on the left, and my room is the third on the right. Is that all clear?" Rainbow asked. Derpy nodded her head yes as she confirmed it. "good." Dash said, then she let out a yawn. Soarin then "escorted" them to their rooms.
"Goodnight Derpy. Sleep well." Dash and Soarin said. They then went into Rainbow's room, where Soarin and Dash had a chance to talk. Soarin was the first to talk.
" Are you ready for tomorrow?" He asked half expecting the answer that Dash had said.
"Well yes I am. But I mean that in the most sincere way. I'm just hoping that things will go as expected and Derpy will be cooperative and everything will go as planned. How about you?" Rainbow Dash asked as she climbed into her bed, leaving room for her coltfriend to climb in with her.
"I don't think I could have said it better." Said Soarin as he joined his lover in the bed made of clouds. "I couldn't have said it better myself. Goodnight Dashie. I love you." Soarin finished as he placed a goodnight kiss on Dash's cheek.
"I love you too Soar, I love you too. Goodnight." Dash added, before she returned the kiss. The house fell silent as the house guests and the hostess all slept. All was well for them, for now. They didn't know what was gonna happen tomorrow at three in the afternoon. Rainbow felt confident for anything. But would she be ready for this?

Ok so here's chapter five. I seriously don't remember much, but I remember that I got on the computer, came here, added a new chapter, and started to type... All in one night as also the same day that I had chapter 4 out. I'm feeling proud right now. Have a nice life!

Chapter 6: Are you ready?
The next morning Derpy wasn't eating or drinking anything. She was just hiding under the blankets, shaking nervously. Soarin went in to check on her, where he found her with her hoof to her cheek, wincing strongly. He walked over and started to stroke her in a comforting manner. He was sure that she had stopped shaking when he was talking to her in a comforting manner.
" It's gonna be alright Derpy, soon you will be able to eat with no more pain in your mouth. Just think of it as a chance to become more healthy and after your appointment, we'll go out and get you some muffins. That's a promise." Soarin said.
"How can you be so- oww sure? I can't do anything..." Drpy said as tears filled her eyes. She was crying hard. Soarin was still stroking her. Derpy was still shaking when Dash had come in. She had saw that Soarin was trying his hardest to calm her down, but Dash knew what Derpy was going through, but she told no pony else.
"Soar, let me talk to her." Soarin got up and went to the other corner and watched as Dash worked her magic.
"Hey Derpy, will you look at me?" Dash began. Derpy rolled over, her hoof still to her cheek. As she continued to listen on.
"You are?" Derpy asked as her jaw also dropped."How can you be so calm through all this?"
"Well, I tell myself that if I am well behaved, I can leave sooner. So that's how. And taking you will help because I have Soarin here to help keep me calm. Right Saor?" Dash explained.
"R-right. Sorry I'm still in shock that no one else knew that you were afraid. Not even Colgate." Soarin admitted.
"Well it's noon and so we have at least two and a half hours until we go to Colgate's office. Do you want to go see Apple Jack, or Twilight perhaps?" Dash questioned.
"Why don't we go talk to Twilight? She might have advice for you" Soarin said to the nervous mares. The mares noded their heads and left to Twilight's tree house, where she was busy reading a book on how to comfort worried ponies. The pegasus' all trotted in. Twilight got a pleasant smile on their faces.
"Hey guys. Can I help you?" Twilight asked with a smile still on her face. Until she noticed Derpy shaking more and more with every second.
"Derpy," Twilight said turning to the gray Pegasus, "Is everything alright?" Twilight asked, before trotting over and putting a comforting hoof around Derpy.
"Twilight, I can explain but can we go in another room?" Soarin said. The lavender unicorn nodded and they left the room.
"Soarin,What is this about? Why is Derpy looking scared?" Twilight asked. Soarin explained everything and Twilight listened with a concerned look on her face. After he finished he found only one mare back in the main room of the library. Derpy was there, hiding in a corner, while Rainbow was nowhere to be found. There was also a big hole which a pegasus could fly out of. When Soarin and Twilight came back, they saw no sign of Rainbow Dash.
"WHAT HAPPENED" they had said in unison.
"Are you ready?"
Chapter 8 1/2 part 1: Soarin finding Dash
Soarin flew high in the sky, eyes sharper than usual, looking for Rainbow as he flew. He was flying by a mountain, when he heard a sound. He turned to see that it was a bird. Or so he thought.
"Wow. That is a big cyan bird. Weird how it has a rainbow tip of it's-WAIT! Rainbow Dash!" He saw her trying to fly as far away from him as possible.
"Dang it!" Rainbow yelled. She turned around an flew back to Soarin.
"Why are you hiding?!" Soarin asked.
"Why aren't I hiding? But the real reason I'm hiding is because I don't want to face my biggest fear..." Rainbow trailed off. Soarin looked at her, visibly unimpressed.
"But you are not the one who Colgate is going to examine! She is going to look at Derpy, not you! But if necessary, she can look at yours too. I told her to be ready to look at yours too." Soarin said. Dash was taken back by the firmness that was in her boyfriends tone. She decided to react, surprise and worry in her tone.
"You WHAT?! How could you do something like that?! Are you crazy?! I can't let her!" Dash retorted back. Soarin wasn't letting her not go that easy. He knew that she was hiding something, but what he didn't know what is was. He decided to question her until she told the truth.
"I did this to help you! I know that you are hiding something! I want you to tell me everything honestly. I won't think any different of you and you know that! But please, tell me whats wrong." Soarin spoke back calmly. Rainbow tried to back away, but Soarin flew and caught her before she had the chance. Rainbow wouldn't admit defeat quite as easily as Derpy would. She tried to say something, but everything lead up to her discovering that Soarin was right. She should really go and face her fears, but would it be worth it if her coltfriend found out what she was hiding.? She contemplated it for a minute, then decided what he was saying was true. She finally hung her head down in defeat.
"Fine, I'll tell you why I'm hiding. I know you know I'm afraid. But the thing is, I have had this sore tooth and I worry on what it might be. I don't want anyone to know because they will tell me to just go to the dentist. I worry that my friends will find out that I am actually afraid of something. But Twilight would drag me there and afterwards, she would ask me why I didn't go. They would all receive the same answer. I haven't told you about this yet, because I was worried that you would take me. But now, I have to go and face my fears because of this. I wanted to take Derpy, and not have to get into the torture chair. Is this all getting through to your head?!"
"Dash, it's alright. Calm down. If you want, I can hold your hoof while you are in the chair. I am pretty sure that your friends will think no differently of you. I know I will not for sure. But you need to get it fixed. Getting that tooth fixed will help you be healthy. Even though it may seem bad, it's really good for you. I promise." Soarin said, not joking through any of it.Rainbow seemed to calm down the slightest. Rainbow seemed to believe every word that he said. She sighed and spoke.
"Do you promise to be right there next to me?"
"Yes. I will be there from the moment you walk in, to the moment when you leave. I won't let you be afraid alone anymore." Soarin promised. Rainbow nodded her head. She then embraced Soarin in a hug. He returned the favor. "We should probably get going," He said. They then took off to Colgate's office, where they saw Twilight and Derpy just approaching the clinic.
"Hey guys... sorry I ran off earlier..." Rainbow started.
"It's alright Rainbow Dash! You were only gone for about ten minutes or so." Derpy said, with a smile on her face. Rainbow sighed in relief just as her door opened. They all turned their heads to see that Doctor Colgate was standing there with her receptionist, which was none other then Fluttershy. They both had a welcoming smile which almost calmed Derpy and Rainbow. Colgate spoke.
"Hello you four. Welcome. Please, do come in." She welcomed. Fluttershy just smiled.Rainbow started to shake, and became tempted to leave.Rainbow almost turned to fly away, when Soarin put his hoof around her to prevent it.Rainbow only let out a sigh,as she was escorted to the back room along with the others. Colgates back room was a fairly large room that was a sky blue, while the patients chair was in the middle. To the left were some cabinets that were made out of a nice pine wood. underneath the cabinets was a sink. Along the other walls were several chairs. there was two rolling chairs on either side of the chair in the middle. Rainbow froze in fear as did Derpy. Colgate noticed this and calmly trotted over to them. "It's alright. I do my best not to cause any of my patients pain or discomfort. I want you to know that alright? Also, Do either one of you want to go first?" She asked calmly and professionally.Neither one of them moved a muscle. Instead, they tried to run for it, but they were both stopped by the two unicorns. They were floated back into the room where once they were in, Fluttershy stood behind the door to make sure they didn't leave. Soarin simply came up next to Rainbow and put his hoof around her and she tried to escape, but didn't have any luck.
"Why doesn't Rainbow Dash go first?" Soarin asked. Rainbow started to back up.She couldn't do this now. She wanted to be second, so she could see if Colgate was really gentle or not. But the question is, what will happen now?

Chapter 8 1/2 part 2: Twilight takes Derpy.
The mares watched as Soarin flew out the hole. Twilight then cast a spell that fixed the hole in the wall. She then noticed Derpy trying to run. She caught her in a cloud of magic, casing Derpy to be floated back to Twilight. the unicorn then released Derpy,and looked her calmly in the eyes. Twilight knew she was afraid. But she felt lucky that she had read a book on the topic so she had an idea on what to do with the frightened mare.
"It will be alright Derpy. I know it will all be worth it in the end. Now do Soarin and Rainbow know what tooth is causing the pain?" Twilight asked. Derpy pondered this for a moment. She then shook her head.
"No. They don't. I don't know why they never asked." Derpy answered.
"Here, why don't you lay back, and let me take a look?" Derpy seemed not so thrilled. She started to squirm, Twilight noticed this and trotted over to her. The unicorn then put her hoof under Derpy's chin, bringing it up to look at her. Derpy then saw the kindness and reassurance in her eyes. Derpy sighed and she then agreed.
"I will let you if you promise that you won't think any different of me. Also, can I be holding something?" Twilight nodded her head and extended her hoof. Derpy than lied down, and opened her mouth. She grabbed Twilight's hoof and held it tight, while Twilight looked inside her mouth.
"You can go ahead and close your mouth now Derpy. I think I have found the solution to your pain. I noticed a cavity in your mouth. But if you don't mind me asking, when was the last time you went to a dentist?" Derpy sat up and sighed. She then told Twilight the story on how she lost her parents, while Twilight listened carefully. When Derpy finished, Twilight said how sorry she was. They then looked at the clock. It said it was two fifty.
"We should probably get going if were going to make it on time." Twilight said. Derpy then got up, and helped Twilight up as well. They then left the library, and started their journey towards the clinic, which took only about five minutes. To their surprise, there were Rainbow Dash and Soarin, just approaching as well.
"Hey guys... sorry I ran off earlier..." Rainbow started.
"It's alright. I do my best not to cause any of my patients pain or discomfort. I want you to know that alright? Also, Do either one of you want to go first?" She asked calmly and professionally.Neither one of them moved a muscle. Instead, they tried to run for it, but they were both stopped by the two unicorns. They were floated back into the room where once they were in, Fluttershy stood behind the door to make sure they didn't leave. Twilight came up next to Derpy and put her hoof around her. Derpy was about to say she would when Soarin spoke first.
"Why doesn't Rainbow go first?" Soarin asked, as Rainbow started to back up.
"Actually, I will. I will let Rainbow go second because this is my appointment after all."Derpy said. They all nodded their heads in agreement before moving to various spots. Which went something like this:
"Soarin are you sure this is a good idea?" Dash asked, a little more nervous than when she was back at the mountain.
"Yes I'm sure. This will all be better in the end I promise." Soarin reassured back at Rainbow. Rainbow just sighed and kept lying on her coltfriend.

AAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! I had NO idea how to end this chapter. I had to end it like I did, because this kind of leads into the next chapter. So sorry if you didn't like the ending, because I have no idea how I should have ended it.

I like to call this my halfwayish point. But since NONE of you even read my blog but if you do, none of you ever reply. So I'm gonna put it like this: HELP ME!!!!!!! I need it. Badly. I need some ideas and I need help to tell me what you guys (or girls) want to see. I need someone to like message me and like, help me with like voices and like what they should they do? PLEASE HELP! I need it! I will mention you if you help me and I need help. Please! Sorry short but this is the deal I'm proposing: if I get some help ( not just this story, but my other one too.) I'll keep them up and write chapter 9&4 (4 is on my other story). If not, I will cancell them until I get some ideas. If any of you read this in like a month or so, I will still be open to ideas and suggestions. You can even PM (private message) me. I will use them somehow. I pinkie promise. So thank you and I look forward to your comments.
Derpy was wondering why she decided to go first, but remembered that it was her appointment after all. She climbed into the chair while shaking vigorously. Colgate and Fluttershy put on sky blue medical masks. They looked at Derpy than each other, both having the same look of sorrow and sympathy in both their eyes. They nodded at each other and looked back at Derpy. Both then pulled their masks down under their muzzles. Dr. Colgate spoke in a quiet and calm manner, careful not to frighten the already terrified mare.
"Derpy, is it alright if I ask you some questions? Will you answer truthfully? Anything you say will be kept private. I promise." Derpy just nodded her head. Fluttershy went over to the others to ask the same thing to Rainbow Dash. Fluttershy calmly put her front left hoof on Rainbow's back left hoof, causing her to jump. Twilight and Soarin had to put their legs over Rainbow to stop her from flying away. Rainbow soon realized that it was Fluttershy and relaxed, ever so slightly. Rainbow nods her head as well. Fluttershy leans over to Colgate, whispering something. It was then Colgate's turn to nod her head.
"Fluttershy suggested that she takes Rainbow and Soarin into a different area so they can both have privacy. I personally like the idea. But it's all up to you and what you two think." Colgate spoke, repeating what she was just told. Derpy, Rainbow and Soarin liked the idea.
'Maybe I can run when their not looking. maybe, I'm just over reacting. Maybe it won't be as bad as I-nah.I'll sprint when i get the chance.'Dash thought to herself. Soarin, was thinking other things.
'This is great! Maybe Fluttershy can explain to Dash that everything will be alright.'Soarin was glad and had rubbed his marefriends hoof. Fluttershy trotted over to the door, motioning for the couple to follow them. The pair got up and follow Fluttershy into the hall, where Rainbow tried to escape. Soarin was well prepared for this,blocking every move Rainbow tried to make. Rainbow eventually let herself be pushed by the stallion. When the three reached the room, Fluttershy opened the door to reveal another examination room. Rainbows eyes became smaller than a pin, she froze in fear. Rainbow tried to run away but she forgot that Soarin was still right behind her. Fluttershy noticed Dash trying to well...dash (some pun intended) and ran over to help Rainbow. Fluttershy put her hoofs on Rainbows shoulders, while Soarin put his around her waist. Rainbow eventually calmed down,letting herself be carried in. Soarin guided Rainbow to the chair in the middle, then got into one of the rolling chairs, grabbing Rainbows hoof which she squeezed tightly. Fluttershy went over to a cupboard, and pulled out a clipboard with questions on it. Fluttershy got into her rolling chair and looked down at Dash.
"Rainbow, I'm going to ask you some questions, and I want you to answer honestly, alright?"Fluttershy stated. Rainbow was shaking but nodded her head.
"Are you ready Soarin?"Fluttershy asked. Soarin smiled and nodded his head. "Perfect. Alright, first question: what has gotten you so nervous? You are more scared than me whenever I have other ponies looking at me."
"OH come on! Do I have to answer these?" Rainbow retorted. Soarin just facehoofed.
"Rainbow, the faster you finish these the sooner we can leave." Soarin said. Rainbow just shrugged.
"Let's move on then... Second question: Why did you run away? "Fluttershy continued.
"I ran off because...well..." she started to mumble. Soarin raised an eyebrow at her.
"Rainbow, I've known you since we started school. I've kept every secret that you've wanted me to. I've always been there to help you, I don't want you to be hurt by anything or anypony so please tell me, what are you so friggen scared of?" Fluttershy asked. Rainbow and Soarin both were wide eyed at her.
"If you wanted to know that information than I guess I'll tell you. I tried to run away because I was scared alright? I've been afraid since before I started school. The story behind me being afraid is one that I want to keep hidden. Is this getting through? I, Rainbow Dash, am afraid of something. Remember when the others were planning to all get our check-ups here? Did you notice how I didn't come ? That's why." Rainbow finished, panting slightly. Fluttershy gasped. She would have never thought that her best friend, would hide something from her.
"Wow Rainbow, how have you managed to avoid it for all these years?" Fluttershy managed to speak out.
"I really don't know, I somehow have just managed to do it." Rainbow said. They then heard a knock at the door, causing the ponies to jump a little. Fluttershy got up and opened the door, revealing AppleJack at the door, worry on her face.
" Have any of ya'll seen Pinkie? Shes missing!"

Yay procrastination. I originally had a different idea for this, but I had a deadline. So yay for this ending! Thanks for everyone's help Like: DerpyTheGreat ( you should go watch them) and their idea of Rainbow running into the Everfree. Chapter 10: questions answered.
"She's WHAT?" Rainbow asked, turning around, shocked and ready to help find the party pony. She was ready to escape, but mostly find the pink pony. Just then, out of nowhere Pinkie appears.
"Hey guys! What happened? Why is everypony in here? Is it a party? I LOVE parties!" Pinkie Pie said.
"Where in the hay were you?" Rainbow asked, confused on about everything.
" I was in the comments." Pinkie replied with a smile. The rest just decided that it was just Pinkie being Pinkie.
"We're all glad ya'll are alright Pinkie, we should head back. They seem a might' a bit busy here." AJ finally noticed. The Earth mares left.
"Should we finish the questions than?" Soarin asked.
" I actually think were done here, lets head back to the other room and see how the others are." Fluttershy suggested.
" Let's go." Rainbow agreed. Glad to be out of the chair. At least, for now. Soarin helped Rainbow out of the chair.
" Hey Rainbow, please don't run away. I know what you're thinking but you need to know this is for the better. She isn't gonna harm you on purpose. I promise that I'll be close to you the entire time." Soarin pleaded.
" I'll try not too. I did earlier because I thought I could run. I don't want to be here and Derpy seemed pretty confident near Twilight." Rainbow finally admitted, telling the truth for about the tenth time that day. They continued walking down the hall. Fluttershy stops in front of a door, which happens to be the one leading into the room where the others were. When they opened it the were welcomed with a calming scene. Derpy was calmly sitting in the chair, while Colgate had a mask on and she was bent over Derpy. Fluttershy lead Rainbow and Soarin back to the chairs near Twilight, who was still observing Derpy closely. The main light was dimmed so only the bright light in the middle of the room was shining. When Fluttershy sat down on her rolling stool, Colgate talked.
"Will you hand me the explorer please? Also,how is she doing Fluttershy? Did you find out any answers as to why she might have tried to flee earlier?" Colgate asked Fluttershy in a low vice, but not low enough that the three on the chairs couldn't hear. Fluttershy handed the explorer to Colgate, then looked down. She was about to speak when Rainbow Spoke first.
"Wait, you saw? How come you never said anything?! Another thing, how come Derpy's so quiet? She seemed almost relaxed. Which seems quiet odd, considering where we are and all."
" We got through the questions pretty fast,and she let me take a look, as long as she held Twilight's hoof and she knew I was only gonna look. I took a look and asked her if she wanted me to put her to sleep to fix her small cavity, considering I need to use the drill to get it to a place where I can actually fill it. She agreed as long as I didn't use the needle, which I agreed to as well so I put the mask on, waited for Twilight to tell me her grip eased up, and started to clean the area. The only reason I needed the explorer was to see if it was all ready to go. But the thing is, I haven't started to drill yet. But in short, she's asleep.Don't worry, she'll hopefully not feel anything."
" What do you mean hopefully?! Do you have to use the d-d-drill?" Rainbow asked, nervous yet strong.
" I do if she wants her tooth fixed. Don't worry, it may sound bad, but it won't hurt her as much if she didn't have any gas. She'll be alright. I promise." Colgate said, looking over to her with a gentle look in her eyes. Dash tried to hide it, but she was cringing at the mention of it. Soarin put his hoof on Dash, causing her to flinch.
" She's telling the truth you know. It won't hurt her at all." Soarin said, in some attempt to comfort her.
" How can you be sure, the torture device she uses won't hurt her? Last time I went to a place like this, they used it with no gas whatsoever so I ended up feeling everything. Especially the drill..."Dash finished, trying to whisper, But Colgate heard her story and looked back over to her. All eyes except Derpy's (Because she's asleep) were on Dash. Everyone heard her.
" Really? Well who was this pony? What did they look like?" Twilight asked, looking at Derpy again.
" It was... Colgates father. That sadist was so cruel to me." Colgate was wide eyed, shocked at what she had just heard.
" My father would never do that to anypony on purpose. But why wouldn't he use anesthetic?" She defended.
" I have no idea, but that's why I haven't come, I've seriously thought about it. But then that memory plays in my mind and I back away slowly. He didn't tie me up or anything like that, but I didn't want to find out if he would. So I've kept my distance from not only him, but this place." Rainbow retorted, trying to defend herself. Soarin was listening to both sides and was deep in thought. He had spoke up, with firmness in his voice.
"From the information presented to us, I have come to a couple of decisions. The first one is, Colgate finish with Derpy so Dash can have her sore tooth looked at. Secondly, Dash, that happened over ten years ago, I bet Colgate won't hurt you and if I was a betting stallion, I would bet a good amount that Colgate is as gentle as she can be. I don't know because I don't go to her for my check-ups. Thirdly, Twilight, would you ever think differently of one of your friends because he or she was afraid of something?" Soarin asked.
" Why would I do that?" Twilight asked, confused.
" See my point Dash? She isn't gonna think anything different of you for needing somepony else with you. We all-or at least I do- get that you're a bit worried because of what happened in the past. I really do, but why didn't you say something earlier? We would've helped you out as much as we are now." Soarin pointed out.
" I was worried that you would tell me to man up." Dash answered. Colgate had the drill up and ready to turn on.
" Before I start, Soarin was it? Are you ready to help Rainbow here?" Soarin nodded his head, and grabbed Rainbow's hoof. Colgate gave Derpy another light dose of gas, Then, powered up the small drill she had still held in her magic. Dash had started to shake, and cringe. It took both Soarin and Twilight to keep Dash in her seat. Soarin pulled her close, he hated to see Dash like this. He started rocking her back and forth, in some attempt to comfort her. Rainbow closed her eyes, hoping she could wake up from the nightmare she was having. She didn't realize that she had fell asleep. Rainbow opened her eyes just in time to see Depry getting out of the chair and walking out of the room with Fluttershy. Colgate walked over to her and smiled warmly at her.
" Glad to see that you're up. You fell asleep for about forty five minutes. Are you ready for your turn?" Colgate asked, after a few minutes of letting Rainbow wake up.
" Wait? I fell asleep? Wheres Derpy? I saw her and Fluttershy leaving and that was about it. Is she alright?!" Rainbow asked, more panicked for her co-worker than herself.
" She's alright, calm down. We just moved her into our recovery part of our office, due to she hasn't quite come out of her loopy state." Colgate said, reassuring her with a gentle voice. Rainbow relaxed ever so slightly.
" Do I have to go today? Can Soar be right next to me?" Rainbow asked, still a bit panicked.
" Rainbow, your tooth won't get better unless I can take a look at it and see whats up. Soarin can sit in Fluttershy's chair, since she'll be watching Derpy. Don't worry, I will put you to sleep too if needed. Soarin can watch and see if I try anything funny, alright?" Rainbow cowered closer to Soarin, she still wasn't ready. Soarin started stroking her mane, soothing the mare. Rainbow looked over at Twilight, who sent her an encouraging smile.
" You can do it Rainbow. She's really gentle." Twilight reassured. Rainbow nodded her head.
" Thanks Twilight. Soarin, will you sit in Fluttershy's chair and hold my hoof? Like you promised?" Rainbow asked her coltfriend.
" Of course I will. I hate seeing you so panicked, I want you to feel like you're in a safe environment."
" Colgate? I think I'm ready to get in. But are you?"
" Yes Rainbow, shall we get you into the chair?" Rainbow sighed and gulped.
" Sure. Let's get this over with."

"Rainbow..? Dash you with us?" Sprain asked a groggy Rainbow Dash. Who responded with a groan. He chuckled slightly and continued rubbing her hoof in circles.
"I'm glad to see you're up Rainbow, how do you feel?" She asked gentl.
"Sore." Was her only reply.
"Do you remember what happened at all?"
" All I remember is Derpy leaving, Pinkie saying something about being in the comments, freaking out at the sound of a drill, and standing up. That's it."
"Well Rainbow, get ready for a story." Colgate said as her horn lit up.
"Are you ready?" Derpy asked the shocked pair. They nodded her heads and Derpy explained. "Rainbow read the clock and it said two thirty. She was pacing when some robbers broke in and were holding guns. Rainbow Fought them before they could take a single shot. She tied them up and then left through the same hole and took them to the Ponyville jail. She said she said she might not be back on time so she said for me to tell you this before she took off." Derpy finished the story. Twilight wasn't buying it for one minute.
"I have a hard time to believe this story." Twilight started. "But since you are the one here, I can use a spell that replay's the past. I could try that." Soarin nodded his head. Twilight's horn began to glow a bright purple aura. There was a bigger glow coming, then there was a big circle and there was Rainbow, pacing back and fourth. Derpy was wincing and crying.
"I can't believe I have to go face my biggest fear!" Rainbow said, still pacing. Then the clock said two thirty, Rainbow heard the clock go off, causing Rainbow to jump. "I'm sorry Derpy, I can't do this..." Then she flew out the door slammed shut out of accident, causing some of the wood to fall off.
Then the circle evaporated. Twilight got a worried look and Soarin sighed.
"Twilight, do you want to find Dash, or take Derpy to her appointment? Soarin asked.
"If Derpy will let me, I'll take her." Twilight answered. They looked at the clock, and it read two forty five.
"I trust Twilight enough to take me, you see if you can find Rainbow Dash." Derpy said. The other two nodded their heads in agreement. Soarin flew off to find Rainbow and then the mares left to go see what's wrong with Derpy. But the question is, will it work? Will everything come together like they hope?
