With her eyes opening slowly, Luminescence began shifting her weight as she stood. This was promptly stopped as she noticed a slightly heavy board resting across her figure.
She frowned at the very sight. the glow of her horn illuminated the room she was in, a former store within the city. It was in shambles and devoid of life. The next thing she turned her attention to was a window. Boards covered it up haphazardly, though light was still able to trickle through.
Her mind to the negative as her magic removed the board off of her and she rose to her hooves. She crossed the short distance of where she stood to the door way, the door was broken off and was leaning against the frame. Basic magic teleported the door away from her exit to to the counter that rested in the back.
The light that rushed through caused her to back up a few steps while her magic conjured up a cloak. With it secured over her figure, she hissed at herself as she ventured from the darkness.
Distance voices alerted her, though she had gone to the thought that it was only the wrongful mind tricks that her own mind played on her. She agreed with herself that calling out and if someone had responded, that the voices prior were real.
"Hello?" That sufficed for her.
The distant voices seemed to beckon her. Unwillingly, she trotted in the general direction of where the voices were coming from. It sounded like a small group, if not a duo. She couldn't quite make out what they were saying, but if she had to guess, something along the lines of what had just recently happened.
Her mind went to the negative again, thinking she could have been knocked out for more then what she had originally had thought. The thought was pushed out of her head as she stopped.
Her horn lit up once more the the hood was pulled further over her face and her magic extended the trail, covering her hooves completely now. In her mind, she appeared as some frightening shadowy figure, she mused at that thought.
When she was able to make out distinctive figures, her eyes lit up with happiness. Her internal clock must be off; happy, during the day. She burst into a gallop, though slowed as she neared the group.
"Hello there!"
She began grinding her teeth. A situation like this was bad. Her first thought was to go seek for any other ponies that still might be out there, but the others of the group seemed more interested within the castle.
It seemed more likely though. Seeing how it was very noticeable, she could easily guess that others may already be on their way now.
Her eyes followed a unicorn, Amelia, cautiously. She would have thought in the setting like this, all would try to survive by themselves, then again, Luminescence should keep her nose out of her books.
"We should get moving, it is probably cooler and possibly more safer then in there then out here." Noticing a stallion already heading that way, she picked up in a trot after him.
When she had neared him, her paced slowed down to the point she stopped. Her head swiveled around and she looked back towards the group of ponies they had left behind.
"Maybe we should wait, we don't know what is in there." Her horn glowed underneath the hood and she conjured up a large parasol.
She beckoned her hoof to the stallion despite how he was sill moving. With her horn still glowing she was able to lighten the color of her coat and shorten it as well. She poked her head out from beneath her hood and smirked, followed by a sigh.
The stallion stopped and turned towards her, followed with a little sigh. "I guess we could wait." He said, plopping himself down into the sand.
"So, what's your name?" The stallion asked, seemingly ready if an answer was not given.
She was a bit stooped by the question. She remembered distant words of her parents that letting one learn your own name made it hard to say goodbye.
She looked to the stallion once more before setting her gaze on the group. "Luminescence Allayna Lucille is my full name, though hardly ever anyone calls me that. Luminescence or Lumi is just fine." Her speech trailed off, she hadn't spoken to someone in such a good manner during the day for quite some time.
"Since you now know mine, may I know your's?"
The stallion smiled, and said a bit after her introduction. "Nice name." He then turned his gaze towards the sky, then back down at Luminescence after a while.
"Okay, well...." He murmured, pointing a hoof at the endless sky for a moment. "How large is the sky?" He asked mysteriously, smirking.
Luminescence gave him a curious look. He had changed the subject. She had shrugged to herself and the thought was pushed away from her head about how strange pegasi were.
She blinked several times while trying to grasp the question, it was really strange. Was there some inside joke about unicorns she did not know? This thought was pushed out of her head when a reasonable response came in. "You are the one with the wings, you should know."
He sighed when Luminescence replied after a little while, "Yeah, I know." He chuckled "I was hoping you'd say endless. That's my name Endless Sky"
"So, anyway, what's with the hood?" He asked, smiling. "Cause I kinda like it, Looks kinda private in there" The stallion laughed.
She couldn't help but chuckle over the joke he had made with his name. She had a strange feeling when he had first asked the question about the sky; it had some relation to his name; but her logic had forced her to shove that thought aside.
"Nice to meet you, Endless Sky." She had grew quiet once again when he had started speaking, mostly due to listening to him, but trying to listen in onto the group and what was taking them so long.
She had turned her attention back to Endless Sky after he had finished his comment about her cloak. A soft chuckle escaped from her again. "I am photo-phobic. My body cannot stand direct sunlight so this is the only way I can travel during the day."
