The Noble, Lavender, Pony
It was early in the morning when he arrived. A pony clad in a black cloak, and neat, lavender fur. The train he came in on was filled with other ponies, all seemingly unawares that this pony was amongst them. Slowly, with only a single, medium sized saddle bag, he descended into the small hamlet of Ponyville. The cloak covered his face completely, making him a mystery to all around him. Truly, he wanted nothing to do with any of the ponies.
Well, there was one in particular he came to the town to play for. A certain new princess hadn’t received her visit from him yet, and that just wouldn’t do. She was lavender, too, meaning he could share his favorite tune with her. Either way, he had his target, and he’d find her. Going immediately for a hotel to stay in, the pony trotted past the normal town. He looked around as the residents got up, and began doing errands and the like. With a hidden smile, he continued past several lovely mares, all of which caught his attention.
Up-up-up! Can’t get distracted! he told himself, smiling as his mind went for what he was here to do, You’re here for her, not for anypony else! he chuckled at the child-like way he scolded himself. Really brought him back to... before his most famous masterpiece.
Finally finding the inn, he secured the most secluded room-on the top floor, all the way in the back. It would suffice, seeing how his special talent was... disturbing, to some ponies.
“Here’s your key...?” the innkeeper seemed to want to know his name. The pony smiled, the innkeeper seeing his pixelated teeth, which seemed to change every second, like some sort of... river of dead computer pixels. The innkeeper also noticed a pair of hollow eyes, small things, as if they were beaten into the poor pony’s skull, and shrunk down to a size unnoticeable by anypony that wasn’t directly in front of him. The pony, however, seemed to be... dead. There were no emotions behind the husks that the innkeeper was forced to call his patron’s eyes. His smile, however, was genuine, and not filled with any malice. The pony seemed to enjoy the fact somepony wanted to know his name.
“I go by the name... The Noble Lavender Pony.”
Now, despite wanting to be there before the sun rose, the Noble Lavender Pony didn’t like working in broad daylight. Instead, he opted to wait until sunset to make his move. Putting a record player and several records in them, the pony departed his small room, and departed for a certain library, where he knew he’d find the pony he was looking for.
As the stallion moved through town, he found himself lost in the moment. The sky was clear, and the sunset was beautiful. But, his subconscious kept him from bumping into anypony, not wanting to cause any suspicion. He wasn’t one for being in conversation with anything that wasn’t his target, and(if it was a mare) he’d more than likely switch targets. Not ruining his plans, but he learnt that the job was cleaner the less ponies you target.
Either way, the library was a swift walk, here to there, but he kept his eyes as open as he could. He didn’t want to get caught, by the police or that energetic pink pony he had heard about, and ran into before. It was during Luna’s return. He had played her her theme once more, before departing into the night, a smile on his face. Luna’s theme was one of glorious dreams, and one to be loved by all. It’s a shame she never used it, but he didn’t complain. Perhaps, in the dark of the night, she enjoys the song, all on her lonesome. He had almost got caught by the pink pony, but he knew more than one way to avoid a pony, or a question.
Being The Noble Lavender Pony, you don’t trip up easily, no matter who you’re dealing with.
Raising his hoof, he gave a swift four note nock, several times. The pony he was hoping to catch,(one Princess Twilight Sparkle) responded with a short,
“I’ll be right there!” before opening the door with her magic. The lavender duo looked at each other, Twilight’s face perplexed, whilst Noble seemed detached from their encounter.
“Good evening, Your Highness,” he gave a elongated bow, several audible cracks were heard from his movements, “Sorry to pester you at such an hour, but I simply must have your opinion on something.”
Twilight looked over her ‘guest’. He seemed rather secluded, a black cloak around his form, making it impossible to know what race he was. His fur was long, but well kept, and a lighter, almost bleached version of her own. His eyes were also smaller than the finest pearl, and had a dead look to him. However, his tone showed he was sincere enough, and she was itching to hear some good old music anyway.
“Oh... come right in, I guess,” she said, yawning, and moving so her guest could come in. A brief flash of his glitched teeth, and he was inside, using a pixelated magic to take out his old, trusty, music player. His face was stoic as she watched him work, removing a blank record from his saddle bags. The only difference between that one and the rest, was that it was lavender.
“I composed this especially for you,” he lied, but she didn’t know that, “A song that shall play whenever you appear, my dear,” he smiled, sliding the record out of its case,“Oh, and is your assistant in? I’d very much like to hear his opinion as well...” the pony said, as the record was placed on the pin, and was about to turn the record on.
“No, actually. Spike’s in Canterlot, cleaning up my new room over there while I pack up here. Sorry he can’t hear it, but if you could give me a copy...” she trailed off. He had his back turned to her, and he smiled, maliciously. He had only asked for he would’ve had to consider her assistant for noble status as well. But, he’s not here, so he had no business with the defective runt.[End song, if it hasn’t already]
“Oh, no... I’m just lonely...” he said, playing the song. Twilight froze up, immediately after the first note. She tried to scream out in agony, but a white hand covered her mouth. As her eyes met The Noble Lavender Pony’s, she saw herself, reflected in his small, pearl-like eyes. She was covered in white hands, all of a weird, basic-like quality. But, these hand covered her entire body as she slowly drifted out into the abyss that was her subconscious as his final words echoed into her mind, “So, very lonely... Won’t you join me, my dearest Noble Purple Pony?” his pixelated mouth opened, and had a deadly tone to its smile. She braced for the pony to eat her, but the bite never came. Instead, he simply left the record player playing her song. The Noble Purple Song.
Now, to the Noble Lavender Pony, nothing was better than making ponies noble. The authorities would call them ‘victims’ and that they had suffered ‘immense mental trauma’. Nothing made him more angry than when they didn’t appreciate his gifts! Nothing! However, he knew that the Princess of Friendship would appreciate the gift. She had too, or else what kind of a friend would she be?
He gathered his things, and, with the morning mist, was gone again. He had no real ‘home’, and the authorities could never seem to catch him. After all, he was notorious for targeting ponies of high standing, but not to kill them. In actuality, he had never laid a hoof on any of the ponies, or taken any money. From witness accounts, and the... shattered accounts of his victims, as far as he had heard and read, all he did was play them a tune. Always differed, depending on his target.
He scoffed, settling into his train bedroom. He decided to take a trip to the Crystal Empire next. Have some fun there, supposing he isn’t sniffed out. Of course, when your aura is all but dead, and you have no noticeable features, its very hard to track a pony.
Taking off his tattered cloak he had since day one, he stretched his wings. He hadn’t flown in forever, and he had no intentions on flying, either. Rather, he only flew if his target was somewhere where flight was necessary, but even then he prefered to walk once to the cloud settlement.
He gave a chuckle, I imagine somepony found her by this point... I always feel bad, never seeing what they do... his cutie mark distorted, releasing a demon like screech. He looked down, at the Noble Purple Town he had come from, and hushed it, like a mother would to her child.
“Hush little baby, don’t say a word... Daddy’s gonna get you a nice new skull,” the word rolled off his tongue, and his spit was like an acid, but the town seemed to shiver with pleasure. This caused the pony to laugh, almost hysterically, nearly falling over on the train's rugged floor.
“You always knock me dead, Lavvy,” he chuckled, lying down on the cloud-filled bed.
Wonder how Twily’s holding up...? he asked, a deadly smile on his face as he magically closed the blinds, I might have to redirect her brother, if I don’t see anything in the news...
