It was a sunny day in Ponyville, every pony was outside enjoying the wonderful weather. Every pony except Fluttershy at least, she was crying about her daily teasing.
"Why is everypony so mean to me, I didn't do anything wrong. Or at least, don't think I did...." Fluttershy cried to herself. Her animals were hugging her and trying to cheer her up. Fluttershy sniffled
"Thanks but, I don't think even your hugs can cheer me up today.". Fluttershy got up slowly and walked to a mirror "What is wrong wrong with me....What did I do to deserve this....?" She sobbed. The yellow pegasus walked outside of her cottage, taking a walk to clear her mind. She walked to Ponyville, hoping nopony would see her. Unfortunitely, Pinkie Pie saw her and stopped her
"Hey, Fluttershy want some sweets? I made them myself and I wanna see how you like 'em!" the pink pony said with joy. The yellow mare sighed
"No thanks Pinkie, I'm not in the mood." It was mostly unclear what the sentence the voice said but at the end, it clearly said 'Death'. The pegasus jumped back and screamed from the sudden voice. Pinkie giggled
"Calm down you silly filly, I just meant some cupcakes!" Fluttershy shook her head
"Sorry Pinkie, I.....I had a bad day dream is all....." she said hesitantly. The earth pony picked her friend up and placed her on her back and carried her as she galloped to Sugar Cube Corner.
"Don't worry Fluttershy, some delicious sweets will make you feel better" She replied happily. When they reached the bakery,she took her friend off her back and went in the back. When she returned, she came back with a plate of six cupcakes. Five cupcakes on the plate circled a cupcake placed in the middle of the plate. They were chocolate and Vanilla flavored with pink icing. At the tops of them were each decorated with a different animal head made of icing and candies. The pink mare smiled
"Here, choose which ever you want." Futtershy looked at the plate and suddenly had a vision of the sweets. Five of the tops were replaced with a head of one of her friends' decapitated heads, bleeding from being freshly detatched. In the middle was an evil version of her smiling with blood stains all over her face. Her smile was not a happy one, but a murderous and psycotic one. As she saw the evil cupcakes, the voice earlier said something, but this time it said it clearly.
"They all must die...."
The yellow pegasus shook her head and looked in her hoof, in it was a chocolate cupcake with a white bunny head on it. The whiskers and smile were made of black Licorice and the eyes were made of pink round candies.
"Oooo! Nice choice! I bet you chose it cuz' it looks like Angel, huh? Hurry and take a bite, and tell me what you think, it's a new Recipe I made!" Her friend said jumping in excitement. She didn't want to be rude so she took a bite of the cupcake. After she swallowed the bite, she looked in the middle. Red buttercream icing was slowly falling out of it. Again she had a vision, it was of her cupcake. The red icing was replaced with a beating heart, still pumping blood. The warm blood got on her hooves and then dripped onto the bakery's floor. The voice again clearly spoke again to Fluttershy in the same tone.
"Your heart ache will stop when their heart beats die.". The mare screamed in horror at her vision as her friend giggled.
"Wow, are they really that good? I know they're tastey but I never knew they could make ponies scream in joy! Weee!" Her friend said as she bounced happily around her. Pinkie Pie was to busy to notice Fluttershy, who was now shaking in fear. Again not wanting to be rude, Fluttershy gulped the remaining bites of her cupcake. "I'd better be going Pinkie, I need to feed my animal friends, they get cranky if I keep them waiting too long" She said walking out of the bakery. The pink earth pony stopped her
"Wait, before I forget, Rarity said she wanted you to to go to the Carousel Boutique for something." Fluttershy quietly sighed
"Thanks Pinkie, I'll go right away" she said. She walked to the boutique and knowcked on her friend's door. The door opened to reveal Sweetie Belle "Oh, hello Fluttershy, you just misses my sis, she went to Canterlot for a few hours." her friend's sister said.
"Could you leave her a Mess- Fluttershy was cut off by Sweetie Belle "Sorry Fluttershy I'm on my way to the" The little filly screamed at the top of her lungs
"THE CUTIE MARK CRUSADERS MEETING!!!!!". The yellow mare shook her head as she saw the white filly run off to the meeting. She shut the door then quickly trotted back home. She fed her critter friends then looked into her mirror. As she looked at her reflection, she again saw her evil self. She was holding a Machete-like knife and cutting it into Twilight who was tied to a table.
"That's it, I'll ask Twilight for help!" She said happily as she galloped to see her friend. She reached the library and knocked on the door. Spike awnsered the door and called Twilight over.
"Oh, hello Fluttershy, what brings you here? Are you looking for some books on animals again?" The lavender unicorn happily asked.
"Actually Twilight, I need help with something if that's o.k......" She shyly awnsered. "It's no trouble, come inside, would you care for a beverage?" Her friend asked.
"I guess I'll take some coffee, black...if that's o.k" She replied. Twilight sent her assistant to bring the requested beverage. He returned with a pink coffee mug and a pot of coffee. He pored it in her mug as she thanked him and took a small sip of her coffee. Fluttershy had a vision, the coffee was now a cup of warm blood, and she could taste the blood's flavor in the sip she had just taken. As she saw this, the voice said
"Their blood will heal you wounds". The pegasus spit out the coffee in her mouth as she dropped the coffee mug, causing the hot coffee to spill and the mug to turn into small fragments of glass scattered onto the wooden floor. After she did this she sobbed a faint whisper
"I'm so sorry Twilight......" After she said this, she galloped at full speed to her Cabin before Twilight could tell her to stay.
It was now a couple months after the incident at the library and the weather was gloomy and pouring freezing cold rain. The clouds were dark gray in color and covered the entire sky. Fluttershy was very different before physically and mentally. She was afraid to leave her house besides to gather food to feed her animal friends. She also avoided contact with any other ponies, including her best friends. Ponies would knock at her door everyday, she would just lay there quietly, waiting for them to leave. The Vivid yellows and pinks on her body were now dull versions of her original colors. She was all skin and bones and was no longer able to walk more than to do her daily routine. Feed her animals, eat a morsel of hay, and sleep. there was a knock at her door, she froze and kept silent. This time however, they didn't leave but instead, busted her door down. It was her friends, who were silent and in tears seeing their friend now a walking skeleton, on the verge of death. The skeleton-like pegasus looked up and cocked her head as best as she could. She gave them a confused look
"Who are you, and what are you doing here? This is my house.....or at least I think it is judging by the pictures of that pony.....she looks like how I used to loom like". She said puzzled by the ponies in front of her. Pinkie pie's mane flattened from her sadness, sobbing the most out of all of her friends. She picked her dying friend up carefully and lightly hugged her.
"You......you don't remember us, do you?" she asked sobbing. Fluttershy tried and failed to pick up her wings to fly away.
"Re.....remember you? I've never even seen you ponies in my life!" She said angered and frightened. The rest of her friends tried to come over to hug her. Before anypony else could get near enough to hug her, her fear caused her to gain enough adrenalin to Gallop away. However, her fogginess caused her to thoughtlessly run deep into the Everfree Forest. Her friends ran after her until they reached the entrance of the forest. Dash tried to race up to her to stop her but Twilight used her magic to stop her.
"It's too dangerous Rainbow Dash, we can't go any further....." Rainbow Dash wanted to argue with her but kept silently nodded and landed, she knew Twilight was right.
Pinkie walked up to Twilight.
"Is.........is she going to be o.k Twilight?" She asked still sobbing heavily. Twilight hesitated for a couple seconds then finally replied.
"I.......I don't know Pinkie, all". Twilight cleared her voice, trying to hold herself from crying any harder than she already was.
"All we can do is wait and hope." She finally said. Fluttershy galloped at top speed until she tripped and lost her adrenalin. She tried to scream in pain and for help, but could only let out a faint whisper. After about half an hour, The bony Pegasus was finally able to catch her breath. She looked around, only seeing the dense forest that surrounded her until she saw a hut several yards away from her. She didn't know why, but that hut looked slightly familiar to her.
"Hey, Help me! I'm in trouble, I need help!" She said in a hoarse whisper trying to yell. The mare tried to put all of her energy to walk over, failing to even get up on one leg. Desperate for help and care, she again tried to get p, but again failed. The pegasus cried the few tears she had left and laid there. An hour later, she again tried to get up. This time, she was able to get on all four of her hooves. She took five steps but collapsed. She fell on sharp sticks and rocks that pierced into her skin touching the bone due to the lack of body fat. The sharp and unbearable pain gave her the adrenalin to scream
"HEEEELP!!!!" But then caused her to faint. While unconscious, she saw horrible images that were worse than the ones before. After what seemed like a lifetime of horrors, she slowly began to awake. She looked down and noticed needles in her arms and her body was back to a normal state. Suddenly, she heard a voice
"I see you've awoken my dear Fluttershy, I thought for sure you were going to die.". Fluttershy screamed from the voice
"Who......who are you....and where am I?" she stuttered.
"I'm Zecora, don't you remember me, we are good friends who have shared many moments of glee." The yellow mare's eyes widened
"I.....I've been like this......for that long?". Her eyes were still widened, but now tearing up as Zecora said this. The Zebra handed Fluttershy a cup of tea and nodded her head.
"Yes my dear, it's been suchch a long time, and when I found you you were covered in grime. Here's some tea for you my dear, you face is full of sadness and fear.". Fluttershy politely thanked her friend and took the tea. Fluttershy felt a sudden wave of rage. Her mouth slightly began to foam. The yellow mare lunged at Zecora and bit her front left leg. The Zebra let out a pain-filled scream as Fluttershy's jaws cut deeply into the Zebra's flesh.
"Fluttershy, have you gone insane, why are causing me so much pain?!"
As the pegasus ran, she tripped over something about twenty yards from the hut nearly at the entrence of the forest. She looked back and saw a small white and brown colt, it was Pipsqueak. His leg was bleeding as he struggled to move from the pain in his leg.
"Oh, I am sooooo sorry, I-" Fluttershy froze and stared at his leg, watching the blood come out of it. The small colt once again spoke and smiled at her.
"Oh, it's quite alright Fluttershy, it was just an accident" he said forcing a smile. The pegasus was too focused on his leg to her Pip and feeling something she had never felt before. She was feeling an intent of murder, she had never felt anything like this. She picked up her front left hoof and stomped it down on his hoof. The impact caused the bone in his already bleeding hoof to become an open fracture. The broken bone stuck out of his skin and caused his leg to gush blood. Pipsqueak couldn't take the pain and fainted from it. Fluttershy did the same to the rest of his hooves. She then rose on her hind legs and forced herself to fall on her front hooves on his ribs, breaking them instantly. As a final attack to kill him, she bucked his head and cracked it open. The murder made her feel happy, it made her feel more alive then she had ever felt before. She dragged his body by his mane and took it to an area where Timber Wolves had been known to hunt. She found a creek and washed the blood off of her. After this she ran to her cottage and was greeted by Angel, who pulled her head down towards him. Fluttershy smiled when she saw him
"Hello Angel, I missed you too." she said smiling. The white rabbit slapped his owner across her face and pointed to the food bowl.
"Oh, you must be starving!" she said as she rushed to feed all of her animals. After her animals were fed, she collapsed on her bed. Angel jumped up on the bed and again slapped her, then pointed to his tail. Sighing, Fluttershy rolled over away from him.
"Please don't do this Angel, I'm exhausted" she said in a whisper. The rabbit pulled her mane and kicked her right cheek in a fit. This enraged Fluttershy causing her to snap at him, screaming at a volume she had never used before.
"That is ENOUGH Angel! Now I suggest you stop before I really get pissed!" . The frightened rabbit nodded his head in comprehension as he shook from fear and pain.
Fluttershy flew out of her cottage and bumped into Derpy Hooves, who became excited when she saw her.
"Fluttershy! Where have you been, we've missed you! I was worried sick about you!" she happily said hugging her. Fluttershy hugged her friend back
"I was on a trip, wanna come in for some muffins?" she asked her. Derpy's eyes widened in joy
"I'd love to! Thanks!". The clumsy pegasus flew into the cottage with her friend following. Fluttershy closed the door behind them
"Where are the-" Derpy was cut off by a blow to her head. About ten minutes later, she awoke in chains in a dark basement-like room. The only light in the room was from flaming torches along the wall. Fluttershy walked in the room with a muffin-shaped brandle.
"Hey Fluttershy, where are the muffins you promised?" Derpy said confused.
"I'm saving them for later, I wanna play a game first." She replied.
"Oh boy, what are we gonna do?" Derpy said excited. The yellow mare put the brandle into the fire of one of the torches. Without a word, she pressed the red hot brandle against Derpy's flank. The gray mare screamed in agonizing pain "I thought you said we were gonna play some games?" she howled. Fluttershy laughed
"We are playing a game silly!" she said. "Can we please play something else?" her victim begged.
"Fine, I was getting bored of this game anyways, let's bake a cookie." Fluttershy said happily. Derpy forced herself to smile
"Yeah, lets make it yummy and share it!" Fluttershy pulled out a heart-shaped cookie cutter and before her victim could say anything, she pierced into the chained mare's chest. After it was deep into her skin, Fluttershy grabbed the flesh with her mouth and pulled it away from her body. She took the skin and put it in her oven for about two minutes, returning with it.
"Here's your cookie, now eat it." Fluttershy said as she shoved it in her mouth. The horrible taste of the baked flesh made her gag but she barely managed to swallow it. Fluttershy turned her victim on her stomach and took a sharp chef bone knife and chopped her on her spine. As she screamed in pain, the yellow mare took out another sharp knife and slit her throat open. She died as the cut forced her to suffocate on her own blood. Fluttershy went upstairs and returned to her dead victim with a warm muffin. She shoved it down her throat as hard as she could.
"Here's you muffin, you retarded twat!" Fluttershy evilly giggled as she shoved the baked good down her throat.
Fluttershy took the body of her victim to the same cave as before and threw her victim's body into it.
"I hope those Timber Wolves enjoy their Meal." Fluttershy walked back to her cottage and saw Angel staring at her as she entered. The rabbit was still stunned at her rage before and in fear of what she had done to Derpy as they locked eyes. The yellow Pegasus stared back at him as her face showed no emotion, nor remorse for what she had done.
"What are you looking, I will fucking hurt you if you don't get out of my sight! Scram you little pest, get out of here NOW" Angel did as his master commanded and ran out of the cottage. There was a sudden knock at the door which caused Fluttershy to freeze for a moment. After she was again able to move, Fluttershy hid behind her couch as she breathed heavily.
The five of Fluttershy's friends we're at the Library discussing how to deal with getting the pegasus out of her cottage.
"Maybe we should go with my idea guys, we might have to use force." Twilight tried to stay calm and gave a slightly angry sigh.
"Rainbow Dash for the LAST time we aren't going to use force...just try to be rational for one second..." Rarity nodded her head and agreed with her unicorn friend.
"Twilight's right dear, you can be quite irrational at times. It is not a good habit, it's best you hold it back especially at a time like this." Pinkie Pie furiously raised her hoof in the air, managing to get Twilight's attention.
"Yes Pinkie, what is it?" She gave a small groan and continued. "And no, we aren't going with your clown plan....that plan would fail, and I don't think Rainbow Dash would even consider dressing up in an outfit like that..."
"No guys, this is a different plan. We should get a bunny dressed like a clown and put it in a huge cage full of flowers and grass and trees! After we get the cage full of plants we could put a cute lion cub and a penguin in the cage with the bunny. Then we knock on her door and when she sees the bunnies and the pretty plants, she'll go in the cage and get trapped in it. Then we get a giant airplane to carry the box to a hospital so she can get doctors to take care of her!" The pink pony gave a wide smile to her friends whose eyes were widened in confusion. Twilight was again the first of the ponies to speak
"Pinkie, we don't even have ANY of those things, even if we did the lion would EAT the bunny and the penguin! Where in Equestria would we even get a penguin, or let alone a plane? Also, how are five ponies supposed to lift a tree?"
"It's a bunny clown silly, and the lion won't eat the penguin or the bunny clown because we'll get a vegetarian lion! And we could get those fake blow up trees like ponies have at parties and those carpets that just look like real grass. We could go to the airport and ask really nicely for a plane!" Twilight cocked her head with her eyes widened then shook her head.
"Just....never mind Pinkie...let's try another plan...any pony else?" Apple Jack hesitated and spoke
"Ah' think the only option we can go with is force Twi, we all know she won't go to the hospital. Every pony needs to be given a push now and again, and ah' think Fluttershy might need that push more than we know it." Rarity nodded her head in agreement and sighed as she spoke.
"I'm afraid I have to agree with Rainbow and Apple Jack dear...it may be out last option but hopefully an effective one..."
"Are you sure guys, cuz my cage idea is still an option here! It'd be fun we get to dress a bunny in a clown costume, who could resist that opportunity!" Twilight ignored her pink friend and grabbed her saddle bad as she spoke.
"I guess you were right Dash, force is the only option we have in this situation...let's not go too tough on her though, I don't know what shape she's in....and I don't think I can even think about it. All five ponies strapped on their saddle bags and prepared to leave. Rainbow Dash smiled as Twilight and elbowed her side.
"Who's being irrational Twilight, I couldn't quite hear you from the sound of me being right."
"Not now Rainbow Dash, we need to focus on Fluttershy not on you being right." They left the library and hurried their way to the cottage. Pinkie climbed on Twilight's back and laid down, holding on tightly to to her neck.
"Pinkie what in the name of Celestia are you doing, This is no time to be fooling around!" The pink pony yawned as she gave her friend an explanation.
"I'm really really tired right now so I decided to take a nap and you were the best choice for me to sleep on." As she finished her reply, she fell fast asleep and she held her neck. Twilight gave a small groan and continued to run until they reached the cottage. She gently shook her friend off of her and knocked on the door and yelled to her friend inside.
"Fluttershy, are you o.k? We need an answer now?"
"Yes Darling, we are absolutely devastated about you, we haven't seen you in the longest time now...and we wish to-" Rarity was interupted by a yawning and fast talking Pinkie Pie who began to jump about as usual.
"Please come out Fluttershy, we miss you soooooooooo much! I've been so worried, I haven't been able to sleep since you were gone! Well, except for the nap I took on our way here on Twilight's back. I had the weirdest dream too. You were in it to and you ate A LOT of cupcakes and your tummy got reeeeeally big! And then Rarity had a silly clown wig and big silly shoes on! She was jumping around until she got sweaty and ran home and Twilight appeared. But back to the point, come out because we miss you so so so so sooooooo-"
"Please come out Sugar Cube, we just wanna help ya' get better. Yer' being more worrying than a new born filly."
"Fluttershy, stop being such a Scaredy Pony, you're gonna be fine! Now get out here already!" The four other ponies stared at her with anger and annoyance.
"Rainbow Dash, you're making it worse! Now hush unless you have something nice and HELPFUL to say!" The cyan pegasus let out an irritated sigh.
"Fine, I'm just sayin' she's being a huge puss-
"SHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Fluttershy still hid behind her furniture, once again feeling frozen. Her breathing was so heavy, it could be faintly heard by her friends.
"O.k Fluttershy, you give us no choice, we are coming in whether you want us to or no!" Twilight used her magic to open the wooden door of the cottage. When they walked in, their eyes widened at the condition of her house. Items once on tables were now scattered on her floor, some shattered from falling. There was no light besides from beams of sun coming from her many windows. Furniture was now torn and missing some of the covering, exposing the cotton-filled inside. Rainbow Dash spotted the tip of her pink tail sticking out from behind her couch and picked her up. Her condition was barely better than the interior of her cottage. Her mouth was foaming and her eyes were bloodshot and almost glowing red. Her breathing was deep and sounded like grunting and huffing up close.
"Whoa, are you o.k Fluttershy?" The pegasus let out an angry feral scream and dug her teeth into Rainbow Dash's shoulder. Rainbow Dash let out an agonizing scream as she flew swiftly around the room, trying to shake her friend off her. After what seemed like an hour, she was able to shake off the psychotic pegasus. The wound on her shoulder was deep and slightly smaller than the size of a tennis ball as it gushed blood. As soon as Fluttershy fell, she got back on her hooves just as quickly. She stared at her friends as she had a psychotic and enraged look in her deep blue eyes. Twilight closed the door until there was just a crack left in the door and spoke.
"Fluttershy, it's us your friends. Dash didn't mean to offend you." The Lavender unicorn walked to her friend and hugged her friend as she stood motionless.
"See, we won't hurt you, it's going to be o.k" Fluttershy let out a feral scream and bit Twilight's neck, instantly causing her to die as she choked on her own blood. The wound gushed blood as Twilight's last breath was taken and she died with her arms still around her friend.
"Twilight! No not you too dear!" Rarity sobbed at her death and was joined by Apple Jack and Pinkie Pie. The stared at Fluttershy who was staring back and caught Rarity's gaze.
"Flutter-" Rarity was cut off by Fluttershy who charges at Rarity before she could run away. She instead instinctively ducked but still could not evade the Yellow Pegasus. Fluttershy caught a hold of Rarity's long curly tail and pulled with all of her might as The unicorn cried out in agonizing pain.
"Whaaaaaaaaaa! Fluttershy I beg out you, please stop this madness, can't you see what you've become?!" Fluttershy continued to pull her tail until the flesh on it came off along with her luxurious curls. Rarity's screamed at the top of her as she ran and hid behind Apple Jack.
"Fluttershy, why are you acting like this? You're acting like a monster, what happened to the Fluttershy we know and love?"
"Yeah Fluttershy, yer actin' like a crazy wild animal, lashing out at us and killing poor Twi" Pinkie Pie happily trotted up to the raging pegasus. Apple Jack whispered in an irritated tone to the pink pony.
"Pinkie Pie, what is the hay do you think yer doin'? Didn't you see what she did to Twilight, let alone Rarity?"
"Oh girls, think about it like me. Maybe she's just acting super duper cranky because she didn't get enough sleep, Rarity does that ALL the time after all! Maybe some funny faces will make her happy again, trust me!" Rarity manages to let out a whisper that was barely audible to Pinkie Pie.
"Pink....Pinkie Pie, please listen to Apple Jack dear, she isn't the Fluttershy we all know and love....she's changed.." Pinkie Pie ignored her and made faces at the yellow pegasus as she stuck her tongue out. Fluttershy lunged at Pinkie and but her tongue as the pink earth pony screamed in pain. She pulled until her tongue was fully pulled out of her mouth as she tried to scream but failed as her screams turned into loud gurgles. Pinkie Pies eyes were full of tears of pain and betrayal as she ran behind Apple Jack and fell unconscious. Apple Jack whispered to her friends to back away to the door as she started to back away from her.
"Don't y'all worry, I'll get both of ya' outta here." The Orange pony slowly opened the door as she put Pinkie Pie's body on her back and got a hold of Rarity. As Rarity was half way dragged out of the cottage, The raging pegasus attacked, getting a hold of her mane, pulling with all of her might.
"Fluttershy, I'm gonna ask you to let go of er' and if ya' do, we'll help ya' get better ." Fluttershy ignored her friend and continued to pull on the mare's mane as her scalp seemed to be pulled off as well.
"Sorry Fluttershy, this is what ya' get for doin' this." With those words, Apple Jack charged at her and bucked her head which made Fluttershy release the white mare from her jaws. Fluttershy's head began to bleed as she fell unconscious from the impact of the attack. Apple Jack gathered some big rocks and put them in front of the entrance to the cottage
"Just in case." She nodded in satisfaction as she tested the rocks and felt them confirmed they were sturdy. She trotted to her friend's clothes line next door to the cottage and took clothes including her Gala dress and a green scarf that seemed clean and put them over her friends' wounds. She whispered to herself to avoid waking the two ponies so they wouldn't wake up and feel the pain from their injuries.
"Don't y'all worry, I'll get you guys help, I promise you both" The trotted to the Everfree Forest to get to Zecora's hut to possibly get some answers to why Fluttershy was acting like this. Not just that, but to see if she had any potions to heal them, or to at least numb the pain. Apple Jack reached her destination and knocked on the door to her hut.
"Zecora, somethin' got into Fluttershy and I dunno why! She's actin' angrier than I've ever seen a pony get, we need you to tell us what's goin' on!" Zecora stood motionless and silent except for her loud breathing that sounded like she was angry and running out of breath.
"Zecora, is somethin' the matter cause' ya' don't sound good" She looked up at the orange mare with bloodshot eyes and a foaming mouth as she continued her loud breathing.
"Oh no! Not you too Zecora, it can't be...I gotta get outta here." She ran out of the cottage at full speed and closed the door as she heard mad screams and the sound of glass and other materials breaking. She stood there motionless until the noises seemed to stop, as if the rampage is over. She didn't dare go back in or let alone open that door, she knew what could happen if she attempted to do something as stupid as that, Instead, the mare just stood silent and still listening to see if the noises were going to continue or if they would start once again. For what seemed like twenty minutes, there was no noise besides the wildlife and the occasional gusts of wind. Apple Jack quietly trotted faster until she was eventually galloping to the Ponyville Hospital. She finally reached the Hospital and entered after about half an hour of running and was greeted by Nurse Joy Heart.
"Oh hello Apple Jack, is Apple Bloom feeling ill again?" She replied as she huffed due to the running causing her to lose her breath.
"No.....no nurse....something....something has gone terribly wrong.....let......let me explain." She told the nurse what had happened back at Fluttershy's cottage and at Zecora's hut.
"Oh.....my that is terrible, I have never heard of something like this before...how strange."
"I know it's pondering I have no clue what could make Zecora act like that or especially Fluttershy..." The mare put her left front hoof on her chin, thinking of something.
"I think the Equestrian C.D.C may be able to help you but besides that, I'm afraid I have nothing else helpful to suggest. I'll write you a note so you can get in. You may keep your friends here for their wounds, we should be able to heal them." She took a pen and ripped a piece of paper and began to write and handed the note to her. Apple Jack took the note and nodded at the nurse and tipped her hat in thanks as she smiled back. She gave one last look at her friends as Doctors and nurses putting them in hospital beds and ran out to the Ponyville C.D.C building. When she finally reached the building, she was stopped by a guard before she reached the door.
"Stop there you, what do you think you're doing here? Only ponies who work here and ponies given special permission may enter this building."
"Mah' friends were actin' like mad animals, and I have a note from the Ponyville Hospital." She handed him the note and waited for his reply as he read it.
"Terribly sorry miss, this note is unacceptable, Nurse Joy Heart may be a very good nurse but she has no power to give anypony permission to enter here."
"Please, I'm beggin' let me in!"
"I told you that you don't have permission to enter! Therefore, you may NOT enter this building until you do!" A stallion suddenly came out of the building his coat was brown and his mane was blue and a bit ruffles.
"What in the name of Celestia is going on out here? I can hear you two from two floors up and the door closed!"
"I'm sorry sir, this mare right here is trying to get in with a note from Red Heart." He stared at the note for a second an curiosity and looked back at the guard.
"Let me see the note, so I may see what all the fuss is about..." The brown stallion took the note and read over it quickly and put it in his pocket and looked at Apple Jack.
"This seems very serious miss, I'll give you permission to enter and I'd also like to help you out Miss. What is your name?"
"My name is Apple Jack sir"
"It's nice to meet you miss Apple Jack, My name is Dr. Bio Hazard, you may call me Dr. Bio though. Please come in, and tell me more about your situation" She followed him and told him all the details about what happened as his face had a confused expression.
"My....this sounds so familiar...."
"Can ya' help me sir?"
"I think we can find out what it is, we need to test for it though...." Apple Jack began to jump for joy as she smiled widely
"Yee Haw! Tell me what ya need sir and I'll get it for ya'. I'll get anything to get em' to feel better!"
"Miss Apple Jack, this isn't going to end how how you think..." The mare stopped jumping and her face showed confusion and worry.
"What....What do you mead Doc?"
"We need you friend, Fluttersy to be here..."
"Well, can't ya just use some anastas-
"We need to examine her brain for the test"
"You mean she has to be....dead?" Her eyes watered as she realized what he meant and she began to cry.
"Yes, she needs to be dead"
"Isn't there any other way? One where she can survive and get better?"
"I'm sorry but it's the only way...we need their bodies to lack any life..."
"Let's just get it over with then...I wanna get this done as soon as possible...I'll show ya the way." The doctor nodded at her and they trotted quickly to the cottage as the mare took the lead. After about close to forty five minutes, they finally reached it.
"Here we are, this is where I left her, she's behind the door I blocked with those rocks." There was a sudden feral scream coming near by that both slightly startled them.
"I thought you said she was inside the cottage?" Apple Jack's face turned pale as she came into realization.
"Aw...SHIT! I forgot to shut the back door of the damn cottage, it was wide open this whole time!" The scream was getting closer and closer each moment the two ponies stood there. After a minute, the stallion started to speak quietly andtried to stay calm.
"We need to find a safe place to hide then, and we should get moving now if we want to survive..." Apple Jack looked at him and nodded
"I couldn't agree with ya' more Doctor, maybe we should hide under those rocks" She turned and pointed to some large rocks outside. The roaring was now very close and made them shudder in fear as it seemed to almost paralyze them in fear. As she looked outside, Apple Jack noticed a gray figure that seemed to be wobbling as it walked close to their direction. She whispered to herself as she squinted her eyes to try to better identify the figure. She continued to do this and walked in front of the rocks she pointed to as her companion followed her quietly
"Is that....Zecora...?" As that whisper left her breath, the roaring seemed to be just several yards behind her. She quickly and saw her, Fluttershy stood and stared at her and their eyes met. The yellow mare's eyes showed anger, pain, and hatred which made Apple Jack's eyes water. Dr. Bio Hazard whispered to her as she stood and seemed to be paralyzed in fear and sadness.
"Miss Apple Jack, you need to kill her now!" Fluttershy's ears twitched as she took a step near her still friend and growled loudly, causing Apple Jack to snap out of her thoughts.
"I....I don't think I can do it, she's my best friend." Her eyes shed several tears as she backed away from her, which seemed to irritate her more. Bio Hazard sighed and calmly replied.
"You have to or every pony could die....if you can't do it for me, do it for every pony else.....do it so that we can keep all of your other friends...." Fluttershy walked a bit faster towards the orange mare who just continued to back away until her flank hit the rocks they planned to hide behind. The yellow mare was now quickly trotting after almost falling off her feet several times. Apple Jack nodded her head once and stopped her tears and turned around as the other mare raged and charged. As she was just about a foot away from the charging pegasus, Apple Jack quickly bucked her. The force from her strong hind legs caused the mare to fall to the ground and fly a few feet away from her. Apple Jack ran up to her still laying body and jumped up landing on her head, standing and silently crying at her friend's death. She walked over to a garden and picked up a bouquet Fluttershy's favorite flower, The Bird of Paradise flower. She laid it on the dead pony's stomach and laid her soft hoof on them and peacefully shut her eyes and cried over the carcass. Another roar could be heard nearby, like it was inside the cottage. They looked and saw a figure that seemed to be an earth pony but as it came closer they noticed stripes. Apple stared and started to quietly speak at a barely audible volume.
"Zecora, ah'm not here to hurt ya', try to calm down so we can work this out." The Zebra bared her teeth and let out an abnormal growl and gave her an angry stare. Apple Jack put on the best poker face on to hide her fear and ran in front of Bio Hazard. She got into a ready stance and gritted her teeth as she spoke.
"Bio, I think you should lemme take care of this...I need to make sure you're safe." All the stallion could do was shakily nod his head and stand there, again immobilized by fear. Zecora was in slightly better shape than Fluttershy but was just as vicious and angry. She began to charge at the stallion as she let out an angry screeching-like noise. He screamed and finally was able to barely to evade the sudden attack, galloping several yards away. She let out another screech and again charged at him. This time however, Apple Jack was able to stop her attack by charging and ramming her head into her side. The strength from her attack made several of the attacker's ribs break as she fell to the ground. The orange mare quickly ran up to the wailing body and jumped on the top of Zecora's head, crushing it and killing her instantly. She got off the corpse and reached into her bag. From the bag she pulled a Heart's Desire flower she had kept in case of Apple Bloom catching the Cutie Pox again. She placed the body next to her other friend's corpse and laid the flower on her chest, just as she did to Fluttershy. Apple Jack began to heavily sob as she talked.
"Ze.....Zecora....Flu....Fluttershy....why did this have to happen....you two didn't do a thing to deserve this....ya'll didn't even do anything in the first place..." She stared at the cry continuing to sob for the death of her friends. The stallion shed several tears and let out a deep breath and spoke under his breath, bowing his head in respect.
"Rest in peace...all of you..." After what seemed like an eternity to the mare, Apple Jack stopped crying and took a shovel her friend had stored near the cottage's entrance. She dug a holes for Zecora and her other dead friends and put them in the holes. After covering the holes, she made a mark with the letters of their names in the grass above their graves. She sighed and put Fluttershy's body carefully on her back as she trotted towards Ponyville, she spoke to Bio Hazard.
"We'd better get going, the faster we test for this disease, the better..."
"Agreed" He followed her into their destination.
"Maybe I should lead the way and if it's o.k, may I ask you something?"
"What is it?"
"Did either of them spend a lot of time with animals, specifically feral animals?"
"Fluttershy spent almost all her time near em' heck, almost everywhere you'd see er', she'd have a critter or two with er'."
"I see....did she ever get bitten by any of them?"
"Only one, poor thing died a month before she started actin' all weird."
"And how long ago did that start happening?"
"I dunno, maybe two, three months ago." There was silence until they reached the Veterinarian's Building. Apple Jack gave the stallion a puzzled look as they entered into the office.
"The Vet, why in tarnation are we here?"
"All will be explained in time." A blue coated mare with a white curled mane and Magenta eyes into the room. Her voice was very feminine, soothing and calm as she spoke.
"Are you Dr. Bio Hazard?"
"Yes, you must be the veterinarian I was told about?"
"Correct, and who is this mare with you?" The mare looked at Apple Jack with confused and slightly disapproving eyes.
"This is Apple Jack, I guess they didn't tell you about her. She is the friend of the pony you see on her back. Or as we know it, the first possible victim." The blue mare gave her a smile and held her hoof out.
"Very nice to meet you Apple Jack."
"It's nice to meet ya' too miss." Apple Jack firmly shakes her hoof and gives a small smile.
"You may call me Vet."
"Nice to meet ya' Vet."
"Now, are your back must be the first 'Infected'?"
"Well, she did go insane first so ah' guess that's a yes" Vet called for other vets who took the body from her back on a large metal table
"This is the body I told you two about, you know what to do." They simply nodded their heads and quickly took the body somewhere she couldn't see in the back of the building. She turned to Bio Hazard and spoke as calmly as she could.
"Not to be a bother but, would ya'll mind if ah' went to the Hospital, ah' wanna see how mah' friends are doin'."
"Go ahead, it takes about six and a half hours to test for it so don't stay longer than that." He gave her a sympathetic smile after answered her question.
"Thank ya'll kindly, ah'll be back later." She ran out of the office to the Ponyville Hospital and went to the front desk. Out of breath and heavily breathing, she greeted the mare at the help desk.
"Howdy sir, ah'm lookin' for two ponies." She took several deep breaths and continued. "One of the pony's names is Rarity, the other one's is Pinkamena Diane Pie. She also goes by Pinkie Pie." He smiled at the orange mare and picked files, one with each of their names on it.
"Ok, tell me your name please."
"Apple Jack" The stallion looked through she files and looked back up at her.
"They're in room '5A', go to the next floor up and it should be on the third room to your right." She nodded and tipped her hat in gratitude
"Thank ya' sir" She ran up the stairs to the room marked with a '5A' on the right side of the wall next to the door and entered it. The sound of two heart monitors and snoring could be heard from inside as she opened the door and spoke softly after shutting it gently.
"Pinkie, Rarity, is that you?" She was greeted by a soft familiar feminine voice.
"Glad you're here Apple Jack, I must apologize for looking like a mess, especially for a moment such as this" The white mare looked at her with her beautiful Azure eyes and chuckled a bit as she gave her a warm smile. Apple Jack quickly trotted to Rarity and put her hoof on her bedded friend. She smiled at her and laughed a bit as she replied to her comment.
"Now don't ya' start your complaining ya' pain in mah' neck, you look as beautiful as always. Now tell me how my best friends are doin' lil' missy" The blue eyes of her friend seemed to be less radiant than before as she looked at Pinkie who was still asleep in her bed. She spoke to Apple Jack softly and quietly
"I'm doing fine my dear, but Pinkie...." She gives a sad sigh and continues to speak in a slightly sadder tone. "She looks much more happier than she really is. She practically cried herself to the point that she passed out, and her mane flattened too again. I must say the look suits her quite well, it'd look much better if she was happy though." She looked at Apple Jack and gave a depressed sighed. "I hope we find out what caused this...I know it can be overwhelming when she doesn't stop talking no matter what.....but now that she'll never be able to talk, I'll be miserable wishing I could hear her never stop talking one more time..." Both of their eyes started to water as they heard the rustling of an awaking pink earth pony. Apple Jack slowly walked to her and tipped her hat at her hat and put it on her head.
"Howdy Pinkie, how ya' feelin'?"
She looked at Apple Jack with the same poofy mane she always had and smiled and talked in her happy, energetic voice. Only she couldn't talk, all of her words were just muffled noises. As Pinkie realized this, tears filled her eyes and her mane fell as she looked down. Rarity turned to her and spoke softly and kindly while pointing her other hoof to a device with buttons with letters on it.
"Use your Silly Talking Machine like the doctor said if you wish to speak to Apple Jack, dear." The pink mare sighed and picked it up and pressed buttons on it. After a minute, a feminine computer voice came out of it.
"Why did Fluttershy attack us Apple Jack, did I do something wrong? Did she do it because of my silly faces....or am I really that annoying...?" Apple Jack could hear Rarity begin to sob quietly sob to herself, making her cry as well as she responded to her question.
"Of course not Pinkie it's no one's fault, especially not yours. Yer' not annoying Pinkie, sure ya' got on our nerves once in a while but that happens all the times with ponies. Heck, me and Rarity get on each others nerves all the time..." Pinkie began to type again on her machine for about another minute and the voice again came out from it.
"Then why does she hate us, will she ever be herself again? I wanna ask why she did this to us and what made her attack us...." Pinkie looked up at her with pleading eyes as tears ran down her cheeks. Rarity looked over at her friend and spoke softly.
"Yes darling, I agree with you. We need to talk to Fluttershy to see why she did this to us." Apple Jack's eyes widened and watered more. She struggled to speak but managed to get the words out as she sobbed more.
"We'll never be able to her, not even to just hear her soft, beautiful voice again. I had to...." She paused and took in a deep breath from her crying and continued. "I had to kill her, not only her Zecora too. She went crazy and attacked attacked me and a new friend of mine. I had no choice but to kill em' both and whatever got em' to act this way affected them more than we knew. When I looked into their eyes, I couldn't see any pain in them....or sorrow...sad thing is....though they were good ponies, ah'm afraid what they did will make em' go to hell... " Both the mare started to cry as Apple Jack's words sunk in then even she cried as the sounds of her friends sobbing grew louder. Rarity spoke softly as she tried to hold her tears back enough for them to understand her.
"Surely it wasn't their intention dear....maybe whatever happened to them won't be taken with them to their graves...maybe they'll be happier than they ever could be here...maybe heaven is somewhere they were destined to be, especially Fluttershy..." As Rarity was speaking, the pink earth pony was again on her machine typing and as she finished, the voice spoke.
"No pony could change like that, especially Fluttershy. I know the're in heaven looking down at us with those smiles we miss and love. They're up there wishing us the best of lives we could ever live, and they're apologizing for what they did. They still love us now, they always will." Just as the voice ended, a small chilly wind came into the room that almost sounded like a whisper. The mares looked around the room, finding nothing unusual. Apple Jack spoke in a confused whisper.
"Uumm....Did ya'll hear that?" The noise again filled their ears and there was no mistaking it, it was Fluttershy's soft whisper. Their eyes widened as they soon realized what the wind truly was.
"Fluttershy, is that you dear?" Rarity whispered looking in the direction the wind seemed to be blowing in. Its noise was now loud enough for all three ponies to hear. It spoke in Fluttershy's soft, kind voice they had all missed and truly loved.
"I-I'm sorry that I attacked you all, I love you very dear. A-and if you forgive me, I hope I see you in heaven....goodbye." The three mares sobbed even louder than before, all with both happy and sad tears. Apple Jack spoke to the voice as she loudly sobbed.
"We forgive ya' Fluttershy, all of us do and we love ya'! We'll miss ya'll more then you'll ever know!" The voice gave one last small whisper then left as it finished it.
"I love you..."
A nurse ran as fast as she could into the room and breathed heavily as she spoke.
"Are...are you ponies o.k? We could hear you all the way from the next floor up." The three ponies looked at each other then back her. There was a long moment of silence that was broken by Pinkie's machine.
"Yeah, we're o.k, nothing's wrong now...we just miss our friend..." The nurse nodded her head and left the room quietly muttering to herself. They smiled and looked out the large window up to the sky as their crying settled down. Rarity whispered to the sky as she continued to stare up at it.
"Good bye our dear friends, we'll miss you..."
