"Could you possibly, if it's not to much trouble, pass me the bag of bird feed? Without making it squawk at me this time...."
Discord sighed. Sure, he enjoyed his new life here with Fluttershy, helping her tend the animals, keeping the more dangerous elements of the Everfree in check. Sometimes he even got to use his abilities to entertain the occasional visitor. It's just...sometimes she was just so....
BORING!
She tried her best to keep him entertained, but if he so much as summoned a tiny little Polka-Dotted Hydra, the ponies in Ponyville would freak out, and he would have to send it back. He could do stuff like make it rain strawberry milk in the yard (Fluttershy hadn't been terribly fond of chocolate), or freeze the lake so they could go skating anytime, but anything bigger than that, and one of the elements would come to berate him, usually that loudmouth Rainbow Dash. They would yell, make sure he wasn't going rogue again, then leave.
He handed her the bag of bird seed, making sure to keep it normal as she wished, "Fluttershy, you know I was just trying to liven the place up. You MUST get over that timid streak of yours. Or under it, or around it. Tartarus, go THROUGH it, just do something before you have a heart attack from a passing sparrow."
Fluttershy took the bag from him, looking a bit hurt. "You know I'm trying to work on that. Rainbow Dash says I'm doing much better. I don't even run from my own shadow anymore, thank you very much!" She shook the bag into the holder, not quite paying attention to how much she was adding, then squeaked and hid behind Discord when the whole contraption fell to the ground under it's weight, sending seed everywhere. Discord sighed, pulled her out from behind him and onto the couch, and snapped his fingers, recreating the feeder in the image of his head, with the seed resting in his mouth, and looked back at her expectantly, showing off his creation. "Tadaaa!"
Fluttershy was looking at him worriedly, her head tilted to the side. "You know, you've been doing that an awful lot lately. Sighing, I mean. Is something wrong?"
Discord looked at her, then sighed again before he could catch himself, looking down and kicking a bit of metal from the old feeder. "It's just...as much as I enjoy having someone to spend time with, I've been feeling a bit bored. The most i get to do is parlor tricks, and if I go into Ponyville to meet some of your friends, the citizens scream and run, and the Elements assume I'm retaking it. I just want something DIFFERENT to happen. Some chaos to enjoy that won't get me turned back into stone."
"You know....things don't have to be all chaos and frenzy for you to enjoy life. Look at me! All I need is my animal friends, a nice book or record, and the tranquility of my thoughts. Why, sometimes it feels like there's nobody else in Equestria, as tho.....CORDY! Stop that!" Discord dropped Angel bunny, letting him turn back from the large, Multi-headed Bunn-Dragon he was becoming, earning Fluttershy a hurt look from Discord, and, oddly enough, a disappointed look from Angel. "What? I wasn't gonna make him much larger! And he was getting just as bored by your speech as I was."
"Well then...if you
