Three years following the destruction of Station Luna, Applejack wakes inside a Pegasi research facility. Run in secret from the Lunar Colony by former Princess Twilight Sparkle, it is dedicated to unlocking the Chaotic secrets inside her mind, as well as several other ponies. But another necromorph infestation overruns the base, providing Applejack the perfect chance to escape.

Unaware of how much time has really passed, she is headed towards a very different Equestria. One where Celestia and Luna are no longer around, leaving the sun and moon to hang at opposite ends of the sky. And the only way to save what remains of pony society is in the research of a Marker expert. One single pony who faced Discord during his reign, and won. One who also caused the Elements of Harmony to break up altogether.
