Living with Lyra

Chapter 9: HELP ME, I’M BEING TAKEN

Looking down at the farm I call home from a cloud is one of my favorite things to do. I see my sister taking pictures of herself next to a tree, “She is so self-centered,” I mumbled to myself but then the everything started going white until all I could see was white.

I let out a moan as I woke up.

I slowly moved out of bed with bones cracking as I moved and when I looked out the window, “Holy fuck is that snow?” I exclaimed to myself.

I rushed to the window in and still in disbelief I said, “It is actually snowing”.

I didn’t put on my hat or vest as I’ve gotten used to not wearing it every second and went to the living room so see if the girls have woken up yet and I get myself breakfast, I don’t know why but do miss using my slang ‘brekkie’ for breakfast.

I entered the living room to see that other than me Lyra was the only one up with a glass of water, “Good morning, have you what's outside?” I asked trying to hide my excitement.

“Yes, it started snowing last night didn’t you see the clouds yesterday and you seem very excited by this doesn't it snow where you use to live?” Lyra responded.

“In the area I lived, it has never snowed,” I said.

Very suddenly Lyra and I heard somepony knocking at the door, “I got it,” I said to Lyra but she was right behind me as I went to the door.

I got the the door and opened it to see Twilight in a blue scarf, “Sorry for coming so suddenly but you need to come with me!” Twilight rapidly exclaimed and before I knew it I was in a purple bubble hovering in the air giving the world a purple tint then Twilight started running with the bubble moving with her.

I looked to Lyra who was just as confused as me and I yelled, “HELP ME, I’M BEING TAKEN!”.

I was being rushed across Ponyville and I decided to make my mane more presentable, I got the feeling of being watched but I wouldn’t blame anypony for looking, I’m a stallion doing his mane as a princess is taking somewhere.

Soon Twilight and I were at Twilight’s home and when we entered she released her spell with me facing to her.

“Last time we spoke what was a week ago I have been researching what you have told me and I didn’t find anything here but I went to Canterlot and I very good amount of books on chakra, turn around.

I turned around to see a not small but not big pile of books in the middle of the room, “Wow, I have never seen so many books about chakra,” I told Twilight.

“I have only been able to read half of one so far but I needed you to see this,” Twilight said.

Twilight and I heard the front door open with a knock with Lyra appeared as the door opened, “Um, is everything okay, or has Draga been ponynapped,” Lyra said confused with what was happening.

I looked at her, pointing to the pile of books and said, “I think I might be taking my Sunday day off reading.”

Twilight told Lyra what was happening and what the pile of books where.

“Oh, well all is okay then, and this makes Hearth's warming day present buying easier,” Lyra said.

Hearth's warming was very soon, 4 days actually if you include to day, I really need to remember dates.

Lyra was about to close the front door on her way out but then her eyes exploded open and told me, “Remember that you need to get something nice to wear for Hearth's warming day eve,” then she left and I don’t remember ever needing something to wear for Hearth's warming day eve that at all.

Now that Lyra had left Twilight wanted to start reading with me and the first group book she got was on chakra control.

The books taught me about using chakra to make the most of every little bit of it, that chakra flows through the body like blood, chakra is released through chakra points what there are 361 of on a earth and unicorn pony and a bit more for pegasus since they have wings and finally that the ‘blue flame’ that came from my punches on Reipu goons was chakra either, being recklessly focused to my hoof with no control or chakra being controlled very well and being used to make the punch more damaging. To be honest I’d say it would be the first one since I was fueled by rage and I don’t think I’m that good in controlling chakra.

Twilight was about to get another group of books but a knock of the front door filled to whole room. Twilight opened the door and that super energetic, pink pony I delivered bon bons to was there, what was her name, Tinkie Ki, no…. oh I remember it was Pinkie Pie.

“Hey, Twilight, can I borrow a book to read to the Cake kids?” Pinkie Pie asked Twilight.

“Sure, are you looking for anything in particular? replied Twilight.

“Nope, I’ll tell you if the Cakes have that book,” said Pinkie, then she saw me looking at her. She dashed to me at a speed that shouldn’t be possible, “It’s you, Draga, what are you doing here?” asked Pinkie.

“Hi, Pinkie I’m just doing some reading with Twilight,” I said nervously.

“Do you two already know each other?” asked Twilight.

I turned my head to twilight who was standing next to a shelf, “I did a delivery of Bon bon she order sometime ago,” I answered Twilight.

“Okay, Pinkie have you told them the origin story of Hearth's warming?” said Twilight with a book she was levitating next to her.

“Nope doppie,” said Pinkie starting to bounce to Twilight.

Pinkie got the book from Twilight and put it in her mane, wait what.

Out of nowhere Pinkie looked at me and asked, “What is the biggest thing you have made from snow.”

“Well…. I have never been in snow, because it never snow where I lived,” I answered a bit nervously since I didn’t know how Pinkie would react.

The face on Pinkie, she was in shock, like I just killed somepony in front of her, “WHAT!” she yelled.

Pinkie bolted to me, then started dragging me by my right front hoof. They say mares fighting over you is good but I don’t think this applies.

I looked at Twilight with a sacred expression on my face and yelled, “HELP ME, I’M BEING TAKEN AGAIN!”

The snow thankfully made being dragged not painful and I managed to free myself from Pinkie’s hold on me, we were about 30 metres from Twilight’s place.

I quickly got up and with half a breath said, “If somepony need me, just ask.”

I after gaining normal breathing, something hit me in the face, it was snow.

I wiped the snow off my face and looked to where the snowball came, I saw Pinkie with a silly smile on her face.

I extended my right wing and flick a small bit of snow off the ground at her, landing on her hooves, “You know you just dragged me out to the middle Ponyville and threw a snowball at me.”

I don’t even really remember how nor if it is even truly possible but I managed to talk myself away from Pinkie with minimal snow attacks on me.

When I got back to Twilights she had a very big, old looking piece of paper on the floor, I could walk to the centre of it and still have room, actually at the centre was a circle with strange markings all around the circle.

“So you’re back, sorry I was going to help you but this came along and it’s from Princess Celestia,” said Twilight noticing my presence.

“Yeah, what is this?” I asked right way.

“From the note that came with it, this is an ancient magic scroll what was found recently and nopony has been able to find out what all the markings mean or what it does,” Twilight said.

“You said ‘all the markings’ so do you know what some of them mean?” I asked.

Pointing to a marking that look bit like a pony Twilight said, “See that, that is a ‘usage condition’, it’s saying that only ponies can be effected.”

“So let me get this straight if I were to stand in that circle and you were to activate this, something will happen to me?” I asked.

“Yes you are correct, Draga,” awarded Twilight.

“So do you want to see what it does?” I said taking a couple steps to the scroll.

“Do that is a bit rash don’t you think?” Twilight asked me.

“If something bad happens wouldn’t the creator destroy the scroll?” I answered Twilight with question also I just stepping into the circle.

“Are you absolutely sure you want to test this?” asked Twilight a bit unsure.

“Yes and if I do die tell Lyra to find my friends and tell them I hate them,” I said as a joke.

Twilight rolled her eyes and lowered her head down and her horn started to glow.

Soon the once black markings were glowing white and the sound of a soft breeze filled the room as my body started also glowing white, also I started levitating.

Once the glow got to my eyes my whole vision went white and soon everything suddenly went black.

I opened my eyes to find my face on the floor, with my flank up in the air and not really feeling any different.

I got up and said to Twilight who was in shock but this was like if I killed her whole family and started bathing in their blood, “So what has happened to me, I don’t feel any different, do I look any different?” but my voice was off, it sounded feminine.

Twilight dashed off and before I could even think she had a full body mirror facing me.

No wonder she was in shock, “I’M A MARE!” I yelled.
