Prologue
Load Full StoryAnon is your typical Pegasus. Well, almost typical. Unlike most Pegasi, he grew up in Canterlot. Both his parents were Unicorns, but his grandfather was a Pegasus. You can probably already imagine that he didn’t have the easiest life. Well, he didn’t. But things are going to start looking up for our friend, Anon. However, let’s go back to the time right before everything changed.
Anon sat in the broken down house that he lived in. He was still in shock. Today was his birthday. He was finally old enough to live on his own and work. He had just gotten home from school to find his mother gone. After asking some of the neighbors, he found out that she had just left. Now he was all alone, barely of age. Now he’s lost both his parents. Anon found himself crying himself to sleep that night.
The next morning, Anon took a long walk by the Canterlot castle. He was used to and at this point, didn’t care about the ponies who would stare at the Pegasus. However this time was different, for he caught the eye of a very special pony. Princess Luna watched from above as the Pegasus trotted along. She easily spotted the unusualness about him, and the reaction that the other ponies had because of it.
A faint memory of pain and rejection flashed before Luna and she felt sympathy for him. Anon sighed and continued along , his gaze fixated on the ground in front of him. He was so busy looking at the ground, he couldn’t stop himself from bumping into the pony who was right in front of him. Anon looked up and began to apologize, but his jaw dropped as none other than the Princess of the night stood before him. He bowed, but was startled to hear Luna chuckle. She put a hoof on his shoulder and told him to tell her what made him so sad. With much reluctance, he told her. How his mother never wanted him. How his father died when he was young. And how his mother had just left him all alone. When he was done with his story, the Princess pulled out a ticket and gave it to him. She told him to take this and take the train to a small town where he would find a mare. Once he found her, he would know what to do. Without any further explanation, Luna sent him off to the train station. Anon boarded the train, not a clue as to what he was supposed to do when he got to this town. Anon didn’t know it, but this was the beginning of an adventure that would change him forever.
