Chapters Ponyville: May 6-7 :Fifteen Years After Coronation
It was a normal day in Ponyville, Rainbow Dash was controlling the weather, Pinkie was still making goods, Fluttershy tended to the animals, Rarity was out of the sewing business, and Applejack was picking apples. Twilight was at the library, not really caring about being a princess. She STILL wasn't ready for it. Spike did not look older at all! Must be the whole greed thing. Anyways, it was normal. Nothing happened. No big adventure. No big swarm eating Ponyville. No chaos. No changelings. Normal. Just normal.
On the next day though, at the library, Twilight heard a nice little knock at the door. Nice? Who am I kidding?! It was loud! It woke Twilight and Spike both up. Twilight opened the door. There was a little lonely box sitting there. Twilight picked it up and went inside. When she put it down, she did what any pony would do. She opened it. In it was a little dark grey cube with a button on the side. A camera-lens type thing was coming out the top. Kinda like a camera, but smaller. Twilight pressed the button and some kind of gas came out. It knocked Twilight and Spike both out, and the windows were open so, all of Ponyville was asleep. Go figure.
Applejack was the only pony not knocked out by the cube thing. The small cube had enough gas to knock out the entire kingdom of Canterlot! Applejack's lucky, only lucky because she had her face stuck in the dirt just because Applebloom, Sweetiebelle, and Scootaloo, were trying to get their cutiemarks in.... Pony jumping. Where did they get that idea? Anyways, Applejack was okay, and the air cleared quickly.
When she got her head out of the ground, she saw that every pony was out, but not every pony. She saw three stallions wearing dark metal-like armor with belts of grenades latched onto them. They hid their faces under gas masks. They were followed by eighty other stallions with the same look. About Fifty of them were wearing a different type of armor, a kind that had guns coming out the side. Kinda weird looking. A carriage that had no pony pulling it followed. It had a turret at the top with some pony manning it, and also was made out of a dark metal. They picked up the knocked out ponies one by one, loading them into the vehicle. More of the same vehicles followed them.
They blew down doors of buildings to get inside and see if any pony was awake. If they were, they knocked them out manually. Applejack quickly got to the marketplace, and kept low. There had to be some way to contact Princess Celestia. Applejack heard noises from above. When she looked up she saw flying carriages with blades above them flying overhead. Lights shined on her, making her more visible. The first three armed stallions that entered town Tied her up and threw her in an empty carriage with only a driver, two guards, and one stallion in a golden cape. He looked more nicer than the others. He was an earth pony, just like the other invaders. He untied Applejack's muzzle and nodded. He knew she was important.
"Who are ya and what are ya'll doing here?" She asked, With a tone of mild anger.
"Just claiming whats mine, I don't want anyone else to think this country is their's!" He exclaimed.
"Country? Ya'll are taking over Equestria? Why?"
"Because I can! You silly. Now the answer to the first question is my name, isn't it?"
"Ye..s," Applejack gulped,"It is.."
"Oh good! I love introducing myself to helpless mares!" He said happily.
"My name is Lye Allote" He said with the confidence of a thousands.
"It sounds awfully a lot like lie a lot," Applejack mumbled.
"What was that? I couldn't hear you over the great sound of victory!" He proclaimed.
"Next stop, the beautiful city of Canterlot!" He cheered, through a small, almost invisible microphone latched to his lower jaw.
"What about the princesses?" asked Applejack, confidently.
"already taken care of. Ya' see, Princesses have longer life spans and may be strong, but they're not bullet proof!" Lye said, pointing his hoof at the big army around them.
"I am capable of many things, and you," He pointed at Applejack,"Are gonna be my queen!"
"Ya'll don't even know me!" she said, fearfully.
"Okay then, let's restart then, I'm Lye Allote, what's your name?" Lye said, hoping for a response.
"Ah'm Applej...ja...jack"
"Nice to meet you Applejajajack!"
"No, its just Applejack, not Applejajajack!" She yelled vigorously.
"Well then, Nice to meet you Applejack," He said, while scribbling something on a piece of paper.
"Applejack, this here is a treaty, not for the war, but for us! I know you see me as an enemy, but you are wrong. I'm bringing a democracy! No more princesses. Just Presidents and Senates. You can me my first lady!" He handed her the paper and pen. "Just sign here or I will regretfully sentence you to execution." He pointed to a spot on the treaty.
"A democracy? I didn't know democracies aloud execution!" She said, signing the small paper.
"Fine, not really a democracy, same thing you had, but if you commit a crime it's either dungeon or execution, Deal?"
Applejack sighed. "Deal"
Everfree Forest: May 8: One Day After Seize
The Everfree Forest's harsh terrain slowed the army down by 10% But that didn't keep them from moving forward. Twilight was in a special vehicle, one that was painted gold on the inside and had nuclear weapons on the outside. Of course, she wasn't awake. She would wake up earlier than most ponies because she breathed the gas first, but the CMC woke up before her. They were in a normal vehicle with ten other ponies with them. Of course, every pony was shoved in the cargo area of the vehicles except Twilight, and Pinkie for some odd reason. Scootaloo was the first to awaken, then Sweetiebelle, then Applebloom. All three of them realized that they were in a tight, sealed, moving object. "Where are we?" Whispered Applebloom.
"I dunno, but it kinda smells in here," replied Scootaloo in her quietest voice.
"We need to find a way out," Sweetiebelle whispered back.
"But how? We don't even know where we are!" Applebloom murmured.
"I think I see something," Scootaloo said.
"What is it?" Applebloom wondered.
"It looks like a lock... Wait a sec, I'm gonna try to open it," Scootaloo continued,"There is a small branch in here as well... If I just break it into two... Ah ha! Now just let me try to pick the lock..."
"Since when did you learn how to pick locks?" Sweetiebelle interrupted
"Buck! Be quiet Sweetiebelle! I'm trying to focus!" Yelled the little orange Pegasus.
"Gee,you're beginning to act like Rarity. She's always yelling at me and telling me to stop wrecking everything! I re-"
Scootaloo's eye twitched "QUIET!"
"Fine,"
"Thank you very much, Sweetiebelle, do you promise?" Scootaloo said, starting to calm.
Sweetiebelle nodded. Scootaloo twisted her head in some odd angles until she heard the lock snap loose.
"Got it!" She yelled.
"Quiet Scootaloo," Applebloom whispered, "now what do you see?"
"I see that we're in the Everfree Forest," Scootaloo observed the scenery some more, "I see a tons of big stallions wearing silver armor, but with odd looking headgear."
"Do they look dangerous?" Applebloom asked quietly.
"Of course! Some have axes, some are in carriages that move by themselves, and some have thick, green armor,"
Scootaloo leaned in further. The vehicle suddenly stopped, nudging Scootaloo out of the heavy metallic object. She was completely vulnerable. They all pointed lasers at her. "Cease fire!" A big blue stallion with a dark blue mane and tail. He was in green armor, but his helmet was off. Scootaloo saw his Greenish Yellowish eyes staring at her. "She's only a filly," He continued,"I'll take her to Canterlot myself, she won't get into any trouble, and if she does..." He clamped his hooves together.
"Let him take her! Give him a buggy!" Yelled a stallion in a golden cape. Scootaloo thought he looked like he was important to the other stallions. One stallion pulled out a small green vehicle suitable for two. The blue stallion picked up Scootaloo, who was trembling. He hopped on the small vehicle and twisted a knob. The small cart started rumbling. Scootaloo was shaking more than a chihuahua that drank thirteen cups of coffee. The cart started moving toward Canterlot faster that the other vehicles. Scootaloo's main was caught in the wind. The blue stallion started talking when the others were out of sight.
"I'm sorry about that, we aren't really welcoming to hostages," He continued to speak,"My name is Tier, by the way."
"Who are you guys? And why are you foal-napping the entire town?!"
"I don't know that, but I do know you're in danger. You and your two other friends," said Tier.
"How do you know that?" She asked.
"I am the only one who has access to the cameras in the cargo,"
"How do you know that I'm in danger?"
"My boss is not kind to escaping hostages, but he is extremely nice to that one pony, what was her name? Applesauce? Apple-tart?"
"Applejack?" Scootaloo guessed.
"I think that was it! Yeah, he and her are now engaged. It's odd. They just met but they look exactly alike. He has an orange mane and his coat is gold, but she is the complete opposite. They both have food related cutiemarks, though." Tier explained.
"Applebloom's gonna be pissed!" Said Scootaloo, just noticing the language she had just used.
"Now what's your name, little one?"
"My name is Scootaloo," She said.
"Scootaloo, huh? Do you ride a scooter?" Tier asked
"Yeah, most of the time."
"We do have automatic scooters at the next camp which is not that far away from here" He grabbed her attention with the information.
"Really?! Cool! When will we get there!?" She questioned
"We're already here," He stopped the vehicle at a mossy cave.
"What the?" Asked Scootaloo
"The other's are inside, come on!"
He carried her into the cavern. Three different looking stallions approached Tier and Scootaloo. One big burly green coated stallion with an orange mane took Scootaloo from Tier.
"I see you got us a new recruit!" Said the stallion
"Yup, but we need to save her two other friends before we get serious," Replied Tier
"So... Basic training? Or just let her go?"
"Basic training, Rev, basic training."
"Fine..."
"His name is Rev? The buck is that supposed to mean?" Said Scootaloo, not caring about language.
"We don't know, even Rev doesn't know" Answered another stallion with a brown mane and yellow coat.
"So even he doesn't know what his name means? You gotta be kidding me," Scootaloo said.
"Get her into the training suit! No time to be wasted," Tier said with no hesitation.
"Yes boss!" Said Rev.
Rev carried Scootaloo into what seemed like a dead end. There was a keypad sitting on the wall. Rev put Scootaloo down on a yellow square plate. He punched some numbers into the pad. The plate Scootaloo was on lowered until she disappeared. He walked down some stairs until he got into a room with a glass pod in the middle. Scootaloo was in the pod, waiting patiently. There was an entire panel of technology on the wall.
"Can you hear me?" He asked through a microphone.
"Yeah, loud and clear, duh." Scootaloo answered as she rolled her eyes.
"Okay, so first question here, what's your name?"
"Scootaloo,"
"What's your colors?"
"What?" Scootaloo asked.
"What are your favorite colors?"
"Colors? Uh... I dunno, all?"
"All? Okay then. Hold on... Just wait a min... Okay! Stay perfectly still!" Metal walls closed around the pod. The top did the same. Lasers pointed at Scootaloo's limbs. Metal claws slammed round metal pieces onto her. They were bolted together in a comfortable manner. Lasers then pointed at Scootaloo's torso. The same happened there, except canons were screwed onto her sides. The pod opened up completely, including the glass. "And here's your helmet!"
Canterlot: May 9: The Day of Celestia's Execution
Twilight woke up in a big room with four cameras pointed at her. "Aah, you're finally awake, I was getting tired of waiting!" said a voice.
"Who are you?! And where am I?! " Asked Twilight, angrily.
"Who I am doesn't matter, and you are in Canterlot." Said the voice.
"Canterlot? But..." Twilight was terrified. She has been all over Canterlot and she doesn't remember this room.
"I have some things for you, 'princess', first is a weapon. I have plenty of those."
"A weapon? Why?" Twilight wondered.
"You need one so we can see if you get by to save your beloved ruler, Celestia, from dying."
"No! No no no no no!" Twilight kicked the wall,"What's the weapon?"
"You mean weapons, you're not going to get anywhere with just a... a grenade to help you! No! That's just dangerous! Now here are your weapons. Try to practice using them before you kill yourself." A large metal box appeared in the corner of the room. It opened itself, revealing a suit of armor. Twilight fitted it on herself, but when pressed a small button with text above it that read "SAFETY OFF", she shot herself. In the hoof. She didn't die, she only bled a little.
"Ouch! That looks like it hurts! There are bandages in the box, and a couple grenades too, just don't set them off!" Said the voice. "If you save Celestia, we will pack our bags and leave. If you fail, we stay, Celestia dies, and your friend, Applejack, will join me and help take control of Equestria"
"Oh and just in case, have this nice little manual. Hope you like to read."
"I do...." said Twilight, slightly confused. She picked the small little booklet up from the chest. The title read "how to use your weapons,"
She started reading it. While she was reading it, she shot at the wall a few times. When she finished reading, The door opened by itself. When she exited the room into Canterlot, red lights started flashing, alerting that she was a threat. "Intruder! Outside of the castle! Now!" The same mysterious voice said, now serious.
Twilight stared at her right, trying to process where she was. The voice said she was outside of the castle, but which entrance?! She quickly ran forward to the center of Canterlot, knowing that most executions happen in the center of the village, or in this case, kingdom. Twilight thought for a moment. Why did they let her go? Why did they risk losing soldiers? Twilight kept running. She heard a large crash behind her. When she looked, there was a huge explosion. She started to sprint. One of the buildings next to her collapsed. Six stallions started walking towards her, aiming their guns at her head. She ducked, while shooting one of the soldiers in the neck, forcing him to fall. They started to shoot. "CEASE FIRE! DON'T SHOOT!" Said a strong voice behind them.
"Yes sir!" The soldiers walked away, revealing a golden pony with an orange mane. Twilight thought for a moment. She knew who it was. It was the voice. She violently opened fire on the mysterious colt, but nothing happened to him. Only a little scratch above his right eye, making him look slightly helpless. Twi then realized he had two soldiers behind him, one looked familiar, and was a mare, not a stallion. Twilight also knew who she was, and she was shocked. It was A.J.! Applejack didn't look armed, except she wore armor that kept her from getting shot. The colt laughed violently, making it look like he was dying. Three soldiers appeared behind Twi, armed and dangerous, except one thing, they weren't pointing their guns at her. They were pointing them at the mysterious colt, who looked like he was happy about this. One of the soldiers behind Twi started to speak, "Lye Allote, we declare immediate war against your army, and when we win, you leave this country alone! What do you say?"
"If my army wins, you all get executed, all except for the princess! I have plans for her!"
"Let's do this then, you get your soldiers prepared, and I get mine!"
"Okay, 'let's do this then'" mocked the colt.
"Let's start this! Come now princess! We must keep you safe! You need better armor! Take your friend as well!" said the Stallion.
"Okay," said Twi, gesturing Applejack to follow. She did as told, and followed the others to the base. Lye was betrayed, and was actually happy! HAPPINESS FOR THE WIN! Now things were serious, like they always have been. The war was to start.
