The Silence - Chapter 1 - Alone by acoolbrony
Sounds of laughter echoed in her mind. The happy yelps of her friends. The feeling of Twilight's magic running through her as they defeated Nightmare Moon. The pink blur of an earth pony racing across town. The parties that same pony use to throw. The cheers when Rainbow Dash preformed a legendary feat, The Sonic Rainboom. All the sweet memories of the past flowed through her at once. The darkness...the...the...one thing she didn't want to remember...
Rain pored heavily from the clouds just above, the streak of rainbow was the only color in the sky. Thunder clashed, lighting flashed around the pegasis, yet she kept flying. Caring only to get to Pinkie's birthday party on time. She carefully weaved through the dense clouds, and the deadly lightning. She felt herself falling, faster, and faster. She closed her eyes, and spoke for the last time.
"G-good b-bye Equestria, goodbye my friends..."
"EEEEEEEE!!" Fluttershy fell to the floor of Twilight's library.
"I'm sorry Fluttershy. Its all we can do to remember Rainbow Dash, and other things."
"I-i know but, why every week!" Sobs bounced around the empty library.
"Because, the elements of harmony are still alive!"
"S-s-so?"
"So, therefore it is inconceivable that Rainbow Dash is actually one-hundred percent dead!"
"You keep saying that, but you saw her for your self! She was struck by lightning...on Pinkie's birthday. (sniff sniff)"
"But, if she were dead, the elements would have lost there color, like we did when Discord tricked us. Because of this, fact, Rainbow is not dead! She is the element of harmony! Now, I have an idea, but it will involve some dirty work. Are you okay with that?"
"What, kind of, dirty work?"
"We'll have to...dig up Rainbow Dash."
"WHAT ARE YOU INSANE!! That's like, like..." Fluttershy thought for a moment. "Like eating a pig!"
"I know. But do you want rainbow dash back or not?"
"Oh, that would be wonderful." Fluttershy hovered in the are for a moment.
"Okay! Meet me back here tonight at midnight, then we can get started." Twilight turned, opened a book, and began to study the spell she would need.
Fluttershy silently left the library.
She walked through the streets of Ponyville, as she had done since Rainbow's death. She observed the behavior of her friends as they fell into the void of insanity. She would start with Rarity, then go watch Pinkie Pie, and then Applejack. She did this every day. Just watching them, seeing how they've changed. She stepped around the corner, Carousel Boutique falling into her sight. She stepped up to the window and began stalking Rarity. She could almost hear her voice from inside
"Okay!" Rarity spoke from behind the glass, "S-...I just need to put...tha...there...and...AH HAH! There we go! The ensemble is complete! And it is OH so fabulous. This customer will just ADORE it!"
Rarity looked to the wall opposite of Fluttershy's hiding spot. She walked to the wall, placing a hoof on a framed photograph.
"Hhhhhhh...If only you could see what Ponyville has become without you. I-...we miss you, Rainbow Dash.
She just stood there, crying, remembering. The days when Rarity had Rainbow be her model for her dresses, and giant hats. The Cutie Mark Crusaders looking up to her, especial Scootaloo.
Fluttershy looked away, tears filling her eyes. "I'm sorry Rarity...snuph"
She carefully backed away from the window. As she had done for a while now, she continued down the path in the direction of Sweet Apple Acres. That same place was where they found her, just outside the Cutie Mark Crusaders Clubhouse. They almost never got Scootaloo to leave her side. And when they did she walked away, no one, not even her fellow Crusaders has seen her since.
Applejack stepped out of the barn, carrying empty buckets on her back. Fluttershy ducked behind a tree.
"I just don't believe it. Even if it's been two months. I still don't believe it!" Applejack screamed her last few words. She bucked a tree hard in frustration, causing a cascade of apple to shower down on her; miraculously landing in the buckets.
Tears streamed down AJ's face as she worked. None of them seemed to be able to dismiss such a large lose. But they suffered on. Days dragging by like hunny in slow motion. They all lived the same day, over and over again. Nothing new happened. It was the same routine ever day, for everypony.
Applejack continued sobbing softly as she worked. Fluttershy deemed it unnecessary to continue following Applejack since she worked all day, then went straight to bed.
She walked the roads of the saddened town. Nopony was unaffected by the tragedy. They all seemed saddened by Rainbow's death. Who couldn't be? Rainbow was the fasted know flyer in all of Equestria. And the only pegasus to EVER preform a sonic rainboom.
Fluttershy neared Sugarcube Corner. She jumped onto the box just under Pinkie Pie's window. She had placed it htere when she first started her voyages.
Pinkie sat on her bed as usual. Her mane was straight, her color darkened. Pinkie Pie hadn't thrown a party since the accident. If someone was to ask her why she would say. "Whats the point in parties. They just kill ponies..." Truly, Pinkie was happier on the rock farm then she was now. She even said it herself.
Fluttershy couldn't take it any more. She leaped of the box, and entered Sugarcube Corner. "Um; Mrs. Cake, I'd like to talk to Pinkie, if that's okay with you."
"Of course sweetie, go on up."
Fluttershy smiled. "Thank you." Mrs. Cake smiled back.
Fluttershy knocked on Pinkie's bed room door. "Come in..." A sad voice called from the other side.
The door creaked open. Fluttershy stepped inside, closeing the door behind her.
"Pinkie, have I ever told you?"
"Told me about what!?"
"My...my feelings. You see, I liked Rainbow Dash."
"We all liked her!"
"Well yes, but I meant, I liked her in a special way. Do you understand?"
"Yah. Your telling me that the fact she died on my birthday doesn't matter to you! Your just a selfish snob that doesn't care about others well being!
"Pinkie, I-"
"GET OUT!!"
"Uh, okay" Fluttershy squiked.
She walked down the stairs, and out of Sugercube Corner.
The sun was setting now, and it was time to get ready for Twilight's plan. Spike had told the other ponies about her plan, and if they ever want to see Rainbow Dash again, to meet her at the Cutie Mark Crusaders Clubhouse at midnight. It was only a matter of time now.
ALONE - The Original

Rainbow Dash tackled Fluttershy who let out an eep as she fell. The two of them rolled laughing together in the grass. Exchanging a kiss now and again.
It had been two years, two years since there dear friend Twilight Sparkle abandoned them for the life of a princess. She never sent letters or came to visit. Her library had closed, nopony had touched it since she left, except for the occasional royal guard coming to collect some books for, the princess. Around that time, Fluttershy had confessed her feeling for Rainbow Dash, who did the same to Fluttershy. They were living like this till now.
“C'mon, please.”
Rainbow Dash had asked her marefriend, Fluttershy, to fly to Cloadsdale with her.
“C'mon, you do want to meet my parents, don't you?”
“Yes, but its just, I'm not exactly the best flier.”
“That's fine, I'll carry you if I have to.”
“Oh, I guess I'll go...”
The two flew east, in the direction of Cloudsdale. Ten minutes later, they arived.
“You ready to meat my parents? Hmmm sexy?”
“R-rainbow, now's not the best, time.”
“Ok, I'll stop. Just look at me, ok?”
Fluttershy looked. As she did, Rainbow dashed foreword; kissing Fluttershy who had no choice but to accept the embrace, and kissed her back. Meanwhile, a dark blue pegasus peaked his head out of a door. One of Rainbow's eyes opened, she broke the kiss and turned to stare at the blue pegasus. Fluttershy cowered behind her marefriend.
“Really dad?”
“Heh heh, come on in you two.”
That night Fluttershy got to know more of her friend's past. Dinner was divine. Freshly picked fruits and vegetables covered with pure, creamy white icing. With daisy and daffodil sandwitches.
“Thanks for...dinner.” Fluttershy spoke softly, “It was...nice.”
“Any time sweetie!”
It had began to rain by the time they left. They flew towards Ponyvil, lightning streaked around them.
Fluttershy called out, “Rainbow...Rainbow” Her attempts to draw the attention of her friend were in vain, however. Just them, a burst of light almost blinded Fluttershy. The next thing she saw brought chills to her bone. Rainbow Dash plummeted to the earth, wings at her sides, eyes closed, mouth agape. Fluttershy chased after her, but it was no use. Rainbow hit the ground hard, leaving a small crater in her wake. Fluttershy fell to her knees, cradling her lover in her arms.
Rainbow's eyes opened slightly. “F-fluttershy? Wh-what happened?” She tried to move but found that she could not.
Fluttershy hugged her dieing friend, sobbing into her solder.
“Fluttershy...” Rainbow Dash spoke weakly, “I...I love...you...” She kissed her quickly them collapsed into Fluttershy.
“no..Dashie no...” Fluttershy sobbed holding the now lifeless Rainbow Dash. “Rainbow please...don't leave me.”
She sat there for hours. When officials came to take Rainbow Dash away, she nearly fought them.
Fluttershy thought to herself, “I've just lost the only happiness I have left. Not even Pinkie in as cheery any more.” With that she ran home.
Nopony has seen her since. There is just the sign on her door, it reads, “Do not disturb, ALONE”
