The bullies hated the real me.
Too tall.
Too happy.
Too outspoken.
So I changed.
I hid the real me.
I made the world think I was the one thing that I wasn't.
Shy.
I hid the real me under a blanket of glamour.
And because everyone hated her, I learned to too.
So I became the pony who had hidden herself from the world.
When I fell from the sky on the day of the Pegasus Race, the butterflies caught me.
And I sang.
At first I sang shyly,
So they wouldn't see the real me.
As though I was trying to push myself further under that concealing blanket.
But then I sang wildly.
Just like I used to do.
Before I hid myself from the world.
And my cutie mark appeared.
I was happy again.
Most ponies think I got my cutie mark by taming the animals.
But no.
I got my cutie mark because the animals were the only things I could share the real me with.
I am still the pony who hid herself from the world.
I can't even show the real me to my friends.
They would hate the real me.
Like I do.
So stayed hidden.
And became the one thing I never was.
The one thing I could have avoided.
Shy.
And all because I had hidden myself from the world.
All because of a bully.
All because they were jealous of my happiness.
And now the damage is done.
And I will remain hidden from the world.
