The Voice of Harmony

As Luna's night had faded, replaced by Celestia's dawn, Twilight found herself walking downstairs to be greeted by the hooded ghost from last night.

"Oh hi um... Lucien was it?" Twilight asked as she greeted the specter.

"Yes, I must thank you for allowing the listener to stay here. He is very important to our family." Lucien replied once again with a bow to the lavender unicorn.

"The listener, another title of Scar." Twilight said more than asked as she smiled at the still sleeping argonian. "Geeze how long can he sleep for? Was he really not kidding about not getting any sleep in a year?" She asked Lucien half jokingly, though for some reason she couuldn't take her eyes off of the amulet he was wearing.

"Actually miss Sparkle, up until last night he has been up for four years and seven months straight, except of course for when he got knocked out." Lucien replied sincerely to the now worried mare. "Before you ask, yes he is fine I would not be here if he weren't. By the way being a mage I can tell you sense the power coming from the amulet." Lucien implied, and she nodded to confirm. "That amulet used to be just a necklace nothing more, until he found a way to enhance his magical power exponentially for a short period of time, he enchanted that amulet with the power of everlasting magical stamina, along with the ability to be a master of archery."

"Wait so you mean, while he wears that he would be able to cast spells forever?" She asked astonished by the power of the small trinket. "Incredible, that must have been why Rarity asked about it before." Scar was beginning to wake up now.

"So I'm guessing Lucien just told you about my amulet huh?" Scar started before sitting up. "He gets really talkative when he's bored. Aaaaaanyway there was no point in me hiding it, I just wanted to see which one of you he would tell first. Now I am gonna go outside an-" he stopped mid word. "Aww dammit I though I was at least gonna have another hour before dealing with royalty, what a drag."

"Whattya mean?" She asked just before she heard the familiar sound of a Pegasus drawn carraige roll into town. "Oh." Scar and Twilight walked outside and into the middle of the marketplace before they were surrounded by royal guards.

"Knew it." Scar said with the expression of a kid who knew their friend was gonna get in trouble.

"By order of Princess Celestia, you are to hand over the element of magic and surrender yourself, if you do not come quietly we will have to take you by force." One of the guards with the 'fancier' armor said in an obnoxious tone.

"I do not wish to fight you, but I have broken no laws, therefore it is unjust to detain me!" He exclaimed to all of the guards, half of them were surprised it even spoke.

"I am afraid we can't do that it is a direct order from the Princess, no one can override it." The same guard said.

Scar leaned down and whispered into Twilight's ear. "They won't listen to reason, be ready for me to pick you up." Scar then stood back up. "VEN MUL RIIK!" The entirety of ponyville was flooded with a thick fog in mere moments, by the time anyone could see even an inch in front of their face, Scar and Twilight were long gone.

"Where are we going!" Twilight shouted as she was now running beside Scar.

"To get help from an unlikely ally." Scar said, "By the way do you know where any Dragon caves or Dragon buriel mounds happen to be?" He asked now slowing down

"I know where one is buried, but how would that help?" Twilight asked.

"You'll see." Scar said as he now followed Twilight.

They walked for what seemed like hours when it really was just about 30 minutes. Twilight explained Equestrian history and how the Princess normally wouldn't just order for an arrest like that. Throughout their entire conversation they didn't notice they were being followed, well, at least Twilight didn't until they had made it to the burial site.

"Twilight stand back if your too close you may get hurt." Then he started to yell, "And Rainbow Dash, if you wanted to come you could have just asked but stay in that cloud for now!" Twilight looked up at an unusually low cloud, while Dash had almost fallen off of it out of being startled. Scar walked in front of the obviously ancient dragon grave while Twilight and Rainbow watched in anticipation. "DRAGON!. I KNOW YOUR SOUL CAN HEAR ME! JUST KNOW THAT IF YOU BETRAY ME OR EVEN THINK OF HURTING MY FRIENDS! I WILL PUT YOU RIGHT BACK IN HERE! SLEN TIID VO!" The ground began to shake and shift while the burial mound started to move, Twilight gasped in fear as she saw a dragon's skeleton crawl out of the grave and the skin started to appear back in place on it.

"Now this is a surprise, to what do I owe the pleasure of being returned to life by the very being that has slain Alduin?" The dragon spoke with both thanks and fear in it's voice.

"Don't think I did this for you, I will not hesitate to bring you back here if I must. I want you to deliver a message to Princess Celestia." Both the dragon Twilight and Rainbow were stunned by this. "Tell her that I do not wish to be her enemy, but with you being alive as proof, I am not one that she would want to anger. From the man she just tried to have arrested." Twilight was shocked by this, when he was happy he was a very good person to be around, but when he was angered you better not be on the receiving end. The dragon flew up and away towards Ponyville as Dash flew down as fast as a bullet.

"Wait, what do you mean she tried to have you arrested?" Rainbow asked, as this was not anything she was used to.

"Well let's just say she doesn't think that I am a good guy apparently, especially considering she sent at least fourty royal guards to try and arrest me." Scar answered.

"Listener, would you like me to go and..... take care of her?" Lucien asked in a grim fashion.

"No Lucien, I want you to watch and see if they catch up to us and if they leave Ponyville, if they leave then I will return." Scar replied.

"Hey Scar do you feel what I feel." Twilight asked as she gestured toward the direction of a familiar power.

"Yeah it's another one of the equipment I had enchanted, I lost all of it but my necklace when I was transported here." Scar replied.

"Uh hey I have no idea what either of you are talking about soooo would ya mind cluing me in?" Dash asked slightly annoyed.

"Dash do you know Scar's Amulet." Dash nodded. "It allows him to be able to cast magic for an unlimited amount of time without getting tired, he made it himself." Twilight explained.

"So what your saying is there is another piece of Scar's overpowered gear around here somewhere?" Dash asked.

"Yea pretty much." Scar answered. Then they heard a sound-crackling roar. "And I think I know where it is."

Scar had gone from a run to a full sprint as he went straight for where the roar sounded from only to find, a dragon, on a mountain, as usual.

"DRAGON! you have two options, ONE I can kill you then take the ring. TWO you can let me take it and I will be on my merry way." Scar shouted

"YOL TOR SHUL" The dragon shouted at him causing a slipstream of fire to flood Scar.

"Scar NO! Scar are you okay!" Twilight screamed.

"Yeah Twillight, what's wrong?" As the flames dispersed Scar appeared to be holding up an invisible field of magic protecting him and in the other hand was a glowing blue sword that didnt appear to even be solid. "I'll be with you in a second, just after I talk with our rude host." He said before slashing upward on the dragon's snout, Scar proceeded by jumping onto the dragons head, he then dissipated the sword, grabbed the dragons face, and channeled lightening into the dragon's body. The dragon shook Scar off and was about to attempt to incinerate him again, but when he opened his mouth Scar shot a stream of lightning into the dragon, stopping it's heart.

"Sc-Scar, did you just." She would've finished the question but she couldn't speak when she witnessed the dragon's scales seem to evaporate, while the stream of vapor flew into Scar's body. "What. Was. That?" She asked dumbfounded by what she just saw.

"I absorbed the dragon's power Twilight." He said as he saw something other than his ring in the dragon's pile of treasures. "Hey Twilight, I'd like to give this to you." He said as he picked up a white and blue swirled and crystalized star.

"Wha- what is it?" She asked still trying to get over what she saw.

"This is Azura's star," Twilight's eyes widened as she recalled the Daedric prince of foresight. "It has the ability to store and release magical energy an unlimited number of times." Twilight's eyes just widened at this, the perfect tool for someone who wishes to pursue magic.

"Thank you Scar." Was all she could manage to say, fascinated by the artifact. Well that and the fact hat her friend just electrocuted a dragon after being incinerated and then swallowed its soul.

        Scar put his ring on and instantly felt a power surge.

        "So ummm what does your ring do?"

        "It puts a perception filter around me, meaning as long as I don't do anything to attract attention only those that I want to see me, can. It also increases the convincibility of my voice, making me the best haggler and liar in the world. By the way where'd Dash go?" Scar asked. On cue a cyan mare sped into the clearing.

        "Alright so Scar is now charged with resisting arrest as well as fillynapping Twilight." She said, almost out of breath.

        "Alright, well now that I have my ring I should be able to go back, I will only allow those that I know I can rust see or hear me." Scar said as he began to walk balk towards Ponyville.

        "Uh did I miss something?"

        "I'll explain on the way Dash, and by the way when we get there Twilight I won't be able to stand next to you as everyone will be asking you where you went. That will draw some attention so when we get back I will be hanging out with Dash."

        "Okay."

1 hour later

         "I know we shouldn't a trusted that lizard!" Applejack yelled at the rest of her friends, save Twi and Dash.

         "I don't know, he never did anything to harm us, he answered all of our questions and he gave me a present, I can't believe that he could be a meany pants." Pinkie said defensively

         "For once I have to agree with Pinkie, he gave us no reason to distrust him." Rarity said remaining as calm as she can.

          "I'm sorry my little ponies but this is a strange new being that can manipulate the weather it's voice and now after I sent my guards to bring him in, Twilight is missing."

         "Well yeah you ordered his arrest without any good reason of course he is going to run and maybe Twi went with him." Pinkie argued.

         "He saved our lives Celestia, why would he ever bring harm to one of us, and you demand his arrest just because he is powerful. It is quite hypocritical of you." Rarity said obviously annoyed, while everyone was shocked that anypony would say something like that to her. But then a loud shockwave thundered. Celestia looked up to the sky to see what had made that noise.

       "Princess Celestia my master sent me with a message." At this part of the statement everyone quickly realized who this 'master' was. "He says that he does not want a quarrel but if you do agitate him, you will regret it."

       "Dragon, who is this creature to resist me, to CONTROL you?" Celestia asked the dragon.

       "He is Dovahkiin Dragonborn. And he has slain the son of Akatosh, the evil World-Eater Alduin. He has slain the evil son of a god. So let me ask his, who are you! To challenge him?" The dragon finished leaving the princess and ever pony in the area speechless.

       "He had killed the son of a god?!?" Rarity exclaimed.

       "Yes and had he resisted arrest the OTHER way, your entire guard would have been slaughtered." The dragon said before flying away.

       "Ahm sure he meant the evil son of their ruler, ya know considering we worship Celestia as a goddess pretty much." Applejack said trying to break the tension

       "TWILIGHT!" Pinkie screamed as she flew towards the lavender unicorn as she entered the town. "Omigosh what happened where'd Scar to and have you seen Dashie anywhere?" She asked at a million words per second

      Celestia's gaze went behind Twi as she spotted Dash slowly walking up, but stopped a couple feet behind Twilight. "Princess would you mind telling me what the hay you were thinking, trying to arrest our new friend?" Dash asked rudely. This stunned everyone this is twice in one day. Celestia concentrated when she saw something amiss, she managed to break through the perception filter, allowing every pony to see Scar.

      "You!" She shouted before firing lightning, Lucien quickly stepped in the way, but the bolt disintegrated him into a pile of ethereal dust.

      "Lucien!" Scar shouted as he ran over to the dust. "I'm sorry my friend." He said softly before standing up and turning to Celestia, "An eye for an eye." He said while he charged his arms to the brim with magic. "A life for a life!" He shouted at the alicorn, who was scared witless, everyone else looked in fear as this creature approached their ruler with hatred In his eyes.

      As he approached their ruler they suddenly heard two voices, laughing. One was Scar, the other was Lucien. "Oh my god you should've seen the look on all of your faces," he said between laughs. "Damn that's like the fifth time that has happened huh Lucien." Lucien just chuckled.

     "Huh but wait, how, WHAT!?" Twilight exclaimed confused.

     "In case any of you didn't notice, Lucien has been dead for a while." He said, pointing at the specter. "I can bring him back once every day. And then he sticks around until something defeats him again. God I needed that laugh, sorry princess." He said helping the princess back to her hooves, as she was still terrified and confused. Suddenly Scar went serious, "I am not joking though kill any of my friends and I will rip your throat out with my claws." He said scaring everyone even more.

     "Uh Twilight the teen dragons are back." Spike said nervously as everyone snapped out of heir stupor. A small bipedal dragon, he was dark red, his friends were purple and brown.

     "Hey look it's Spikey, oh and it looks like there's another mamby pamby pony dragon." The red one said looking at Scar.

     "Actually I was just scaring the princess witless, I don't like her very much, but I would appreciate it if you would leave my friends alone." He said while walking towards the group of dragons. "By the way I am not a dragon, I am an Argonian, but I am Dragonborn."

     "Hah, Dragonborn, that is just an old myth. And if your gonna defend these prissy ponies, then we are gonna have to take care of you ourselves." The purple one said

     "Come at me bro! Lucien you stay out of this." Scar said as he readied his fighting stance.

         The red one said nothing more instead he charged at Scar claws flying. Scar grabbed the red ones wrist put his other hand underneath the elbow, and pushed up, snapping the red ones arm. He then grabbed the face of the dragon as he put his right leg behind the dragons left leg, Scar pushed on the dragon's face as he pulled on it's leg sending the dragon straight into the ground. This all took place in a matter of seconds. The other two charged in about to try and rip apart the thing that just took down their friend.

    "Faas, Ru Maar!" The dragons stopped dead in their tracks turned around and flew away with a look of horror in their eyes.

    "Gahhhhhhhh what the hell are you." The remaining dragon shouted in pain.

    "Gol Ha Dov!" The dragon suddenly stopped shrieking and he started to heal, Scar was healing him. "Now, you listen to me, apologize to my friends for insulting them and threatening to hurt them."

     Shocking to everyone the dragon bowed to the crowd of ponies. "I am sorry, I was ruse narcissistic and conceited I don't deserve the mercy I have been given." The crowd was speechless, save for spike who was laughing his ass off, and Dash who was letting out one steady sound of disbelief.

     "That Was Awesome!" Dash and Spike said in unison.

     "That was barbaric, what on Equis is wrong with you." A random pony in the crowd shouted.

     "Would you rather I had allowed them to harm you all, hell they would have burnt this town down, I wasn't going to ask for thanks but if you reject what I offer then maybe you don't want me to defend you!" Scar shouted into the crowd.

     "You still fillynapped Twilight why in Tartarus should we thank you for anything?!" Another angrily shouted.

     "Because he didn't fillynap me I went with him when it was obvious the guards wouldn't stop trying to unjustly arrest him." Twilight spoke up angry at the crowd.

     "Twilight he is too powerful he is a danger to us all." Celestia pleaded to her student.

     "If power is the only reason for you to try and arrest him, shouldn't you have been condemned by now 'Princess'!" The last word was spoken with venom, and to Celestia that hurt more than any physical wound coming from Twilight. But the worst part is, she knew it was true, she had acted out of fear without any actual provocation.

"Twilight, I-I I'm sorry." Celestia said trying to close the distance between her and her angered student.

"Celestia, I'm not the one you should be apologizing to, you sent forty guards and ordered them to detain him by force. You don't diserve to be forgiven." Twilight's words cut her like a razor.

"Twilight it's okay," Everyone looked to the bipedal. "I can tell by looking into her eyes that she is sorry, that she can see just how stupidly she acted. Princess Celestia, I forgive you, but know that should this happen again I will not run from your guards, and I will not hold back." Scar finished before walking back into Twilight's house, and she ran after him while everypony else was too stunned to move. Scar turned around to see Twilight once they were in the house but before he could say anything she hugged him tightly, sealing him in a warm yet sad embrace.

"Thank you, thank you for forgiving her." She said sobbing into Scar's robes, she had obviously holding back her tears in front of the Princess. "I couldn't bear being angry at her like that." She continued.

"It's okay Twilight, you don't have to hold back anything, it was just a misunderstanding, and your Princess was obviously scared." He said as he returned the hug as to comfort the weeping mare.

The day had been long so they were both exhausted. 'Weird I have never gotten tired after this short a time. Maybe it's just the world catching up to me.' He thought as they sat there and fell asleep on the couch next to one another.
