All the ponies were hard at work from all around the continent, and no pony was harder at work than the cow mare of Sweet Apple Acres. Applejack was proudly bucking apples, while Big Mac was pulling a giant hay wagon into town. Apple Bloom was playing around along with the Cutie Mark Crusaders, but was not present at the far during the present time. After bucking six more trees, A.J. stopped to rest for a bit. "Ye howdy, the apples are sure going to be great in tonight's apple pie," she said excitedly while rubbing her hooves together. "Granny Smith sure makes the best pies in Sweet Apple Acres..." she added before trotting over too retrieve the next bucket. The day was peaceful, the wind was blowing and the birds were humming. "Sure is a beautiful day to be out bucking," A.J said hitting another tree, causing another twenty apples to drop down into the buckets below. As the sun began to set in the wake of early dusk, Applejack has just finished bucking twenty-one more trees, filling every bucket up with apples to the twenties and thirties. "There, that'll do it..." she said while lifting the bucket with her mouth, and began to walk back towards the barn until something caught her attention. "What in tarnations?" she questioned while looking around. She can hear something strange approaching the far, but whatever it was it was getting louder. It had the sound of distant thunder. "What in the hay is that sound?" Applejack asked herself as she placed the bucket of apples on to the ground and trotted over to the fence, where she attempted to look into the distance and beyond the apple trees. She heard it again. It was now louder than ever, and it sounded like it was coming her way. Just than Applejack was about to go through the fence entrance, and enter the field, until two bright lights appeared blinding and terrifying her. The lights then vanished off her, as she turned to see a metal looking object racing past her farm and disappearing into the hills leaving nothing but skid marks behind in the grass. The strange noise then began to fade way, leaving Applejack in terror and shock. "What in the hay was that thing?" She gasped, while looking into the distance where the strange object had vanished. It was dinner time in Sweet Apple Acres, Applejack however couldn't stop thinking about that metal object that appeared from the hills. As a matter of fact she was so caught up in her thoughts, that she didn't even touch her apple pie which began to scare the entire Apple Family. "Dear is everything well you?" Granny Smith asked in a worried tone. "Yea, it's not like you too refuse your Apple Pie, usually you’re the first to finish it," Big Mac followed on. Applejack finally snaps out of her thoughts, and realizes that she hadn't eaten a single piece of her pie, then turns at Big Mac and Granny Smith. "Sorry you both, I saw something weird just before I came into the barn," she said, trying to think of the right words in order not to worry her family any more than they are now. "How Strange?" asked Applebloom, raising an eyebrow. "So strange that no pony is ever gonna believe it when I say it," Applejack responded face hoofing herself. "What was it?" Big Mac than questioned only to get a frightening look from A.J. "Big Mac honey, It was scary It made sounds like thunder, and it had two glowing bright eyes, than it disappeared in the hills." "Maybe it was just a ponies wagon gone out of control" Granny Smith responded in hopes that Applejack would ease a bit, but much to no avail. Applejack softly grabbed Granny Smith's hoof and said, "Granny Smith that was no wagon. No wagon in all of Equestria could move that fast, or make such a thundering noise." Applebloom than trotted to Applejack's side. "Maybe it was Rainbow Dash playing tricks on you while using thunder?" she said with a smile while bouncing up and down. "Sugar cube, Rainbow Dash is sleeping at this time, and plus there was not a single cloud in the sky, from when I was out there." Applebloom's smile dropped feeling as if she didn't help at all. But she giggled when A.J. started rubbing her head. "Applejack maybe you should get some rest, we'll take care of the dishes tonight instead." Applejack nodded in agreement hoping that going to sleep would help. The sun rose bringing a beautiful day once again to Sweet Apple Acres. Applejack woke up stretching feeling better than what she felt last night. "Tarnations, I think I better lay off work a little," she said with a small laugh before trotting downstairs to get her apple bucket. After which she trotted outside and began bucking trees once again as she always does, as a farm pony. After trotting a total of about seven trees, Applejack than turned and noticed Pinkie Pie standing on the hill, along with Rarity, the two were not moving. "Now what are they doing on that hill?" she asked herself as she trotted towards the two. "You think Twilight might know?" Pinkie Pie then asked with concern. "This time.... I don't think even Twilight’s intelligence can decipher this strange long print in the grass," said Rarity. Applejack trotted over," Applejack trotted over. "Morning girls, why are you both standing on this hill?" she asked with a little confusion. Rarity responded by pointing a hoof to the ground. "Have you seen these odd tracks before?" Applejack took a look, but couldn't tell what made them "Maybe it was a wagon," Pinkie said as an opinion, only to be rejected by Rarity. "Impossible, Pinkie Pie. no wagon has wheels that big, or even that wide." Just than Rarity's words sparked Applejack's mind, and the thoughts of the strange object appeared in her head, when the lights shined on her face and then vanished in the hills. She was standing on the spot where judging by the shape of the long tracks, it looks as if the object tuned at fast speed, before it vanished into the hills to the rear of Rarity.
