The other colt that hadn't run away from the train station refused to come with him to Twilight's house. He wouldn't say why, but he seemed sure about it. "So what was the train like again, the one you said you saw?" Twilight asked. "It was, black." Tiddly began to explain. "But, not like, a regular black. I dunno, it was as if the train was a shadow, a silhouette of what it actually was." He shuddered. "It wasn't on the track either, it didn't have to break or speed up, it was just instantly, not moving, or well, at full speed, and the whistle, it was as if hundreds upon hundreds of Ponies were screaming." Twilight didn't look at him, she started pulling book from different shelves, continuing to flip through pages. "Anything else?" Twilight inquired. "It drove away from the tracks; directly towards Canterlot." Tiddly Replied. She nodded and continued looking through books. Tiddly seemed to be waiting there forever. He and Twilight had been friends for a while, he knew her, he was sure she could find out a solution to all of this. "Come on, Tiddly," Twilight looked at him. "Were going to the Royal Canterlot Library." "You couldn't find anything?" Tiddly said. Twilight shook her head. "We have to take the train, is that ok with you?" She asked. Tiddly nodded hesitantly. He wasn't to keen on being anywhere near trains, but at least he had someone he knew with him this time. Tiddly and Twilight wait at the train station. "Where were you going to go?" Asked Twilight. "Canterlot, I was gonna see a friend." Tiddly replied. "Well now you get to go anyways." "Yup." Tiddly heard the train whistle, it was nearing the station. He cringed a bit, although this was a normal train whistle, it still reminded him of that hellish sound he had heard earlier. Twilight looked at him, worried. Tiddly guessed he looked rather spooked by the sound of the train. He watched as the train gently slowed to a halt. Twilight went forward, and he followed behind her, into the train. He was relaxed, this was far from the train he had seen before. It was colorful and greeting. He felt the train pull forward as they headed for Canterlot. "What do you think its, Twilight?" Tiddly inquired. "Something, well, strange. I've never heard anything like it before!" She exclaimed, a tinge of excitement in her voice. "I can't wait to get to the Library to learn more about this and," Tiddly eventually drowned her out as she began to rant about books about trains and what-not. Twilight stood in front of a giant bookcase, reading through books. Tiddly sat there, thinking to himself. He stared out the tall windows into the sky, the clouds were still gray, and it was raining now. Tiddly should have never left Cloudsdale this morning. "I swear this weather hadn't been planned." Said Tiddly. "What do you mean?" Twilight questioned. "Well, as a Pegasus I help make the weather, and I'm pretty sure Cloudsdale wasn't planning on this weather." "That's odd." "Agreed." TIddly said. "What if," he looked at Twilight. "The train?" Twilight said. Tiddly nodded. "Something, could be affecting Equestria in some way." "Do you really think so?" Tiddly asked. "Yes." Twilight stated. //-------------------------------------------------------// Introduction //-------------------------------------------------------// Introduction TiddlyWinks sat at the train station. It was cloudy today. Not the white, fluffy clouds PonyVille was used too, they were dark and grey, looming threateningly over the sky. He wasn't sure such weather had been planned, but he didn't question it. Two other ponies wait at the station, one a mare, the other a colt. He didn't recognize them. That's when the whistle of the train sounded. It stroke utter fear into Tiddly, he felt shivers go down his spine as her heard the godawful sounds within the whistle, like thousands upon thousands of ponies screaming. He saw the train coming from the railroad tracks. "No," Tiddly said out loud to himself in disbelief. "No, no, no." The train was beside the tracks, not on them. It was completely black, but, it was if it had a shadow about it. Tiddly was frozen in fear, the shrill shrieking of the train whistle rang in his ears. He sat there, pressed against the bench he sat on, the pounding in his ears nearly drowning out the whistle. The train didn't even slow down when it got to the station, no breaks, nothing, it just stopped, and so did the whistle. The mare sitting near him had run away, and the colt was as afraid as he was. Tiddly pulled himself together, and regained his composer, although he was still scared. Tiddly stared at the black, shadowy locomotive. It wasn't of this world. Suddenly, it went forward, away from the tracks, at full speed, it didn't even have to speed up. And the next second it was gone. What in Celestia's name had just happened?
