//-------------------------------------------------------// The Tale of Silver Spirit -by Misteryninja- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue The Tale of Silver Spirit Prologue This is the story of a stranger who saved millions of lives in a world that he has never been to. Our hero slipped into his bed after a long day full of boredom. He was never so relived for a day to end. He was anxious for tomorrow to come, until he remembered that it would be the same as today, as would the next, and the next. He moaned in frustration of his daily routine. He then reluctantly closed his eyes, hoping for a more exciting life, and braced for the next day. He found himself in a dream, as he expected, but he was aware that he was dreaming, which he did not expect. He felt suspended in the air, where all he could see around him were pale versions of the lighter colors of the spectrum. Then he saw light. An entity made entirely out of light. He began to wonder what the light was doing in his dream. "Hello child," The light said. The voice was soft and calm, but firm and powerful as well. "W-who are you?" The dreamer asked, dazed and confused. "I am here to guide you to a new world. a world where you are needed," The light answered. "I-I'm normal. I'm only fourteen. I can't do anything. I'm just a boy." "Your appearance says otherwise," The light said. The boy looked at himself and saw that he was also composed of pure light. "Can you remember your true appearance?" The light asked. The answer was no, he couldn't. "What do you want from me?" The dreamer asked, with a bit more confident knowing that they were equals. "You are the only one who can resist the darkness. All of our kind will crumble to the evil that will soon befall us. You are the only one who can stop the chaos and save us from destruction, or worse." The light explained. "I-I don't understand. How could I possibly help? I'm nothing more that a-a..." The dreamer quickly remembered that he forgot what he was before a ball of light. "In due time you will learn your talents, and they will assist you in your endeavors. But for now, you must familiarize yourself with the new terrain and body," The light explained. The world around him began to fade, and the dreamer knew he would soon awake. He knew not if he would turn back into his original form or not. He feared not knowing what would come next. "And one more thing," The light called, before vanishing. "You are not my equal." He woke up on a hard wood floor. It was night outside, but the world around him looked much different. Even thought most of his memory is gone, he knew that this was not his life, and this was not his house. The house was mostly a small room, but did hold a kitchen and restroom. The house also had a staircase down into a large empty basement. The unnamed creature looked to himself and see how he differed. He stood on all fours and found out soon that he was a pony. A creature that he recognized yet knew that he wasn't before the dream. His fur was a shiny grey, and his mane and tail were both jet black. He decided on calling himself Silver Spirit. Silver Spirit noticed a mark on his flank. He somehow knew what it represented. My "talent." he thought to himself I don't want to be forced to do anything I don't want to, and this is saying I can't do anything that doesn't pertain to it. Screw it! Silver then grabbed a cloak that was in his house and wore it to cover his flanks. He soon turned his attention to the window, to see the new world he was taken to. It was different, very different. It was hard to see due to how dark it was outside, but he could tell that the houses' designs were far different than that of which he was used to. They seemed to have more of a cottage feel to them rather than what Silver was used to. The technology was also much more primitive than the world he was from. From what he could tell, they lacked any form of computer. There were few, but still some ponies that he saw walk the streets of... Wherever he was. They came in an assortment every color of the spectrum and every shade, it felt like. Most of them walked about without any form of clothing. Silver felt that it was normal, but not something he was used to. He was transported to a world very different from the one he came to. The dream started to fade from his memory, and he soon forgot most of what the light said. All of this was much to take in. He decided to sleep for the rest of the night, and learn what he can before he makes himself too known. He'll think of what to do when he wakes up. He  yawned and slipped onto a pile of hay, ready for his first day in this new world. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 Chapter 1 "What's the matter?" Twilight asked, coming through the doorway of the hospital. She entered the room Pinkie Pie was admitted to. The room had just one bed, and Pinkie was in it. There was a blood bag next to her, but held chocolate milk rather than blood. It had a tube that led to a glass, now half full with chocolate milk. "Pinkie seems to be in agonizin' pain," Applejack answered. "Ooh," Pinkie squealed. She turned in her bed. She never was able to get comfortable since she got there. Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, and Fluttershy all were trying to figure out the cause of Pinkie's illness. When they couldn't figure out what it was, they called for their book smart friend. Twilight scanned the pink pony for any form of symptoms to lead to a virus. She did not find any. Just then Nurse Redheart came in. "I've seen this only once," she said. "A new pony's in Ponyville and Pinkie hasn't met them yet." "How do you know?" Rarity asked. "Like I said, only once before. The pony was secluded in their house and didn't leave it. Pinkie never met him, and she looked just like this. He soon moved on and left Ponyville, and Pinkie was back to normal in no time." "So, you're telling me that a new pony is in Ponyville, and Pinkie has to meet them or she'll be this way forever?" Rainbow Dash summed up. "Or at least until they're gone from Ponyville," Redheart added. "Well girls, looks like we've got a pony to hunt," Twilight said, leaving Pinkie in the care of the staff of the Hospital. Silver Spirit has had some troubles in the new world. His first day was tough, trying to do many things that required grasping or holding. He then learned that he needed to make some sort of device to allow him to hold things in one hoof. On the second day, he went out to the market. He did so slyly to prevent any unwanted attention. He wore his cloak to hide his identity from ponies. As he walked through town, he over heard some town gossip. "Can you believe she said that?" "I heard that Flim and Flam are working on another device." "I hope that I get accepted! I've been so good." "Flim and Flam are right outside of town. If they try something funny like they did last time..." "I wish that a new pony would come to Ponyville. I sure love Pinkie's parties." Silver proceeded to purchase some small bits of metal to create something that would allow him to hold items without fumbling. As Silver approached the shop, the clerk looked at Silver Spirit with concern, wondering to himself why he wore a cloak, but still gave him the supplies. As Silver walked back to his house, he planned on naming them something that was ringing in his head. 'Fingers,' the voice kept saying When he got home, he realized that there was a small problem in his plan. He needed the device, to make the device. The precision of the wires was extremely crucial, and one big hoof was far too clumsy. He soon remembered a few thing he heard at the market place. I heard that Flim and Flam are working on another device. and Flim and Flam are right outside of town...It was perfect. Two famous tinkerers that are near by. They could make the device and he could pay them. He didn't have that many bits left, but he hoped that they would be kind enough if he brought the supplies. He also remembered something else he heard in the market place. I wish that a new pony would come to Ponyville. I sure love Pinkie's parties. He'd have to go at night to prevent from being noticed. This 'Pinkie Pie' would defiantly be a problem if he wanted to be discreet. Then he came up with a plan. The plan was foal proof. Go at night so nopony would notice him. Approach the tinkerers and have them create the much needed device. Then slip back into town, unnoticed. Simple, but efficient. What could possibly go wrong? "Okay everypony, fan out," Twilight Sparkle ordered. She will find this new pony and help her friend in need. "Check any house that looks abandoned or recently purchased." The five scouted Ponyville for anypony that looked different. Fluttershy looked around and found somepony that looked different, but she was too skittish to approach them. Applejack confronted a few ponies she didn't recognize, but they each said that they've been in Ponyville for a while. Rarity knocked on many doors but soon recognized each pony she saw. Twilight cast a spell that made everypony nearby glow at a brightness that corresponded to how long they've taken residence within one mile. Unfortunately everypony she saw had a glow about them that was too bright to be new. The only one with luck was Rainbow Dash. She flew into the air scanning the town for any shady or different ponies. She found one in a cloak walking to the edge of town. She dashed down and tackled the cloaked pony. He did not see it coming. The mysterious pony fell face first into the dirt. Dash turned the cloaked pony over to see his face. When he was turned over, he covered his face with his hoof. She saw his fur, which was silver. "Hey everypony!" Rainbow Dash yelled. "I found the new pony! He's over-" "Sorry," The mysterious pony said. "What fo-" The unknown pony shot a hoof at Rainbow Dash that hit her in the jaw. The punch caused her to stumble back and release her grip from the cloaked pony. The silver pony got up as fast as he could and galloped off to the edge of town. "Nopony punches -ow- Rainbow Dash and gets away with it," Rainbow Dash said to herself. She then took off to capture the running pony. When she left, the others just arrived. "Uhg," moaned Twilight. "Come on everypony, for Pinkie Pie." The remaining four picked up their hooves and galloped in the rainbow recently placed in the sky. Twilight saw the rainbow go into Everfree Forest. "We have to stop here. I doubt we'll find them, and I'm sure that Rainbow'll take care of it." "Ooh, I hope so! I mean, I hate seeing somepony in pain! And Pinkie is soo much fun. Who's going to throw everypony parties? I hope she feels better soon," Pinkie Pie said. The other four rolled their eyes at Pinkie, who appeared out of nowhere, again, and four of them trotted back into town, while Pinkie hopped. Nopony hurts Rainbow Dash and runs off like nothing happened! Rainbow Dash thought to herself. She was right on the silver pony's tail. But he then turned into Everfree Forest. No matter where you go, I will follow you! Rainbow Dash never had so much determination during a chase. Her wings flapped fiercely and her front hooves pointed in front of her as far as possible. The silver pony strayed of the path and into the trees, quite possibly to try and loose her. That's not going to happen, buddy! Rainbow Dash thought. The tree's branches laced together, so she had to proceed on hoof. She touched her hooves to the ground and weaved through the thick lines of trees. She kept the cloaked pony in her sights, losing him for split seconds at a time. She soon lost sight of him for a while, but soon identified a cloaked figure walking. I've got you now! She tackled the cloaked figure and heard a familiar voice "What is wrong with you? What caused you to do what you do?" Zecora asked. "What? No your supposed to be- WHAT?" Rainbow Dash asked. She was quite confused. "Is something the matter? Come, let us chatter," Zecora said. "There was a pony, he ran into the woods and..." Rainbow Dash trailed of. "You should return to your friends. And if that pony returns, I'm sure you'll make amends," Zecora suggested. "Yeah, you're right. Sorry for tackling you, Zecora," Rainbow Dash apologized. "No bad harm has been done. Now go on, and have some fun." It was tough, to loose the light blue Pegasus. She was determined to catch him. He knew that his legs were too slow to outrun her, so he chose to out smart her. He got really lucky when she tackled somepony else. A small hiccup in the plan. Now I can press on to more important matters. Silver Spirit thought. He made his way out of the woods, discreetly, as to not run into the rainbow maned Pegasus a second time. After what felt like an eternity of getting his mane caught in branches and his face repeatedly getting covered in dirt, he left the forest. He looked about for any sign of two tinkerers. After a few minutes of walking, he saw a caravan. He trotted towards the caravan hoping to find the two ponies named Flim and Flam, or at least somepony who knew where they are. When he finally got to the caravan, he was greeted by two unicorn stallions. one with a mustache. "Brother! It seems we have a visitor!" the mustached pony said. "You're quite right Flam!" the other pony, Flim, said. He soon turned his attention to Silver. "Hello good sir! How may we assist you?" "Gentlecolts, I have a proposition..."
