After the reign of Discord, Luna embarks on a mission to aid the ponies that have been impaired by his magic. Without her sister's help, she relies on her new protégé, a young Star Swirl. Together, they struggle to find a solution.

Discord's chaotic rule has ended, yet the ill effects of his magic linger, causing various conditions and disorders to surface among every race of ponies. With the help of her new protégé Star Swirl and Celestia's disdain at her back, Princess Luna tasks herself with the burden of helping the ponies afflicted by Discord's magic. During their travels, Luna and Star Swirl come across a small group of impaired ponies that ultimately change the course of the future for every pony in Equestria.
