Where Is Home?

"Ok class, in a few weeks we will be having a trip to Canterlot," Ms. Cherliee said as she passed out permission slips. "Two weeks from now this will be dew with a 3 bit admission and a parent's signature." The bell rang and we all walked out of the school.

Applebloom called over to me, "See ya at the clubhouse Scootaloo." She walked over to her big sister AppleJack, she had to help on the farm for a while.

Sweetie Belle had to help her sister with something. So I had some time to kill before The Cutie Mark Crusaders meeting. So what to do, what to do. Maybe Rainbow Dash is doing something cool.

I went over to her home. "Rainbow Dash! You doing anything cool?" I asked.

She opened up her door and looked down from her floating home. "Sorry Scoots, I'd love to chat but can't. My parents are coming to visit later today."

"Oh," I try to hide the disappointment in my voice. "See you later."

Darn, what to do now? I should just go to the clubhouse and wait. I thought.

At the clubhouse I counted my money. Three bits for the trip. Let's see I have 20 bits now. I can easily fake a signature, but I just don't have enough money to go on this trip. I gotta save my money for food. I sat there sad about that fact. Food comes first. I'll just say my parents wouldn't let me go on this one... My parents, I have no parents, no family, no home. I started to cry. I bundled up in a corner and cried.

After crying for a time, I got back my composer. Just in time too. Applebloom and Sweetiebelle walked in shortly after I stopped.

"Ah can't wait for this trip. It's gonna be fun," Applebloom said. "AppleJack already signed the slip. Ah'll be turning it in tomorrow."

"Rarity is letting me go to. She's a bit skeptical, sense last time we were up there we broke the spell keeping Discord trapped." Sweetiebelle said.

"That was us?" I asked surprised. "...Oops."

"Hey, maybe this time the three of us can go ta Canterlot without releasein' a actient god of chaos." Applebloom joked.

"I... can't go. My parents won't let me."

"Well why they hay is that?" Applebloom asked.

"I guess the whole Discord thing."

"Well that stinks. It won't be as fun without you Scoots." Sweetiebelle sounded sad.

"Ah, it's fine you two will have fun without me."

After that, we talked about what to do to earn our cutie marks. No good ideas came up, none at all. We sorrda made a mess with all the bad ideas we wrote down. After a few hours we all started to head home.

"See ya," Applebloom said.

"Bye," Sweetiebelle said.

"See you two later. I'll stay here and clean up." I said.

"Ya sure. It's gettin' late out. Ya should really head home soon." Applebloom told me.

"I will, don't worry," and with that they left. I waited a few minutes, then pulled a sheet and a small pillow out of my saddle bag. I bundled up and tried to get some sleep. Tears started down my face. "I'll head home, as soon as I find it."
