Queen Chrysalis's POV

Months. Months trapped in that dungeon. Months of having to listen to my children guess words that rhyme with orange. Months of having to look at that stupid costume. Months of having to listen to "the song that never ends". I suppose sooner or later I'd break. The day I did was the day we managed to escape the horrible circumstances those ponies left us in.

"THERE IS NO WORD THAT RHYMES WITH ORANGE!" I shouted at the top of my lunges.

I tore the costume to bits and charged out the door, what was left of my army following me. Soon, we managed to get outside the castle. Once out, we found more of the cats and had a feast, none of us had eaten in months. We may have been down, but we weren't out.

"Now what do we do, my queen." The commander asked during the feast.

"Now, we destroy the six ponies who did this to us, especially Twilight Sparkle. And those three fillies, we'll kill them too." I replied.

I swear, if I ever see those monster again, I'll tear them apart, limb for limb, personally.

"How, my queen?" the general asked.

"By using there strengths against them." I replied.

"And how do we do that?" the commander asked.

"While I was disguised as Princess Cadance during the preparation for the wedding, I read up on the Elements of Harmony in the castle library. According to the book, the elements can be rendered useless temporarily if one or more of the wielders die. However, the real power of the elements comes from the spirit of those elements, not the artifacts. The spirits will then find new hosts, are six new ponies can wield the elements.

But, the spirits themselves draw power from ponies who believe in them. If ponies stopped believing in honesty, loyalty, kindness, generosity,laughter, and magic, the spirits will become powerless and so too would the artifacts. When the artifacts have no power, they will fade away from existence, and will those ponies who wield them." I explained.

"So we not only get rid of those pesky ponies, but also Equestria's most powerful means of defense." the general reasoned.

"Exactly, once that happens,and we've gained enough strenght, we can storm Canterlot and take Equestria for ourselves." I laughed.

"My queen, how are we going to get so many ponies to turn on the elements of harmony?" the general asked.

"Simple, we disguise ourselves as ponies and go to every last town in Equestria, and spread the opposite of the elements. Instead of generosity, we spread greed. Instead of honesty, we spread lies. We do that, the elements will get weaker by the minute." I explained.

"That can take a long time." the commander said.

"Believe me commander, it'll be worth the wait." I promised.

So that's what we did. It took over a year, and Twilight Sparkle's coronation didn't help matters.
