A roster’s crow woke up the apple family. As Applejack walked out to start harvest, she was met with a cold surprise, frost on every last tree in the orchard! “Only one pony in Equestria is even capable of bringing snow in June. Jack Frost show yaself.” Applejack called. A blue earth pony with a white mane and tale with a snowflake cutie mark jumped out from behind one of trees. “Ice to see you again Applejacky,” Jack said in a cold slick voice. Applejack dove for the stallion, but before she reached him, Jack blew a kiss of cold air at her. It hit Applejack in the face, causing her to land on her back and hit her head. When Applejack recovered, she had caught a cold. “Curse ya Jack Fro-aw choo, Jack Fro-aw choo.” Applejack sneezed. “Don’t force yourself sweetheart, it makes it worse.” Jack laughed as he flew away. As he did, he thought to himself, “Where to now, hmm, I wonder if Princess Celestia and Luna have any plans today. Wind, to Canterlot.” Strong winds blew him to the castle where Princess Celestia and Luna lived. Jack froze the two guards at the front door and walked casually to the throne room, met by an annoyed Princess Celestia. “Jack Frost!” she shouted. “Careful Princess, you’ll be an old hag before you know it.”  Jack laughed. “To what brings you here Jack.” The princess declared. “Oh, well were does a pony start, first Applejack wasn't too happy when I brought a little snow into her farm. The girls almost as stubborn as a mule, and now, here I am.”Jack said causally. “You don’t say.” The royal mare said unamused as her horn light up with a yellow aurora. “Okay Princess, just chill.” Jack said calmly as he froze the alicorn’s horn and ran out. Princess Celestia looked at her horn surprised. The ice casing Jack made for it rendered it useless. She would have to wait for her horn to thaw out. On his way out, Jack spotted Princess Luna heading to her bedroom after the night shift. He sent a snow cloud to stay over her head. He chucked to himself at the thought of the princess waking up to see it snowing in her room. As he exited the castle, he (as well as everypony else in Canterlot) heard a loud scream. “WHY IS IT SNOWING IN MY ROOM!?, GUARDS!” With that, Jack left for Ponyville again. This time he went to pay Rainbow Dash a visit. Just as he arrived, he saw a new pony with the blue pegasus. The new pony was red pegasus with a blue mane and tale, and her cutie mark was three blue lightning bolts. “What do you want Jack Frost!” Rainbow Dash yelled angrily as he landed on the ground with them. “That how you treat all your guest, I fell for sorry for this poor thing you got here.” Jack said casually. “This is my friend Triple Threat if you must know.” Rainbow said. “Hey Dash, this that fool who thinks he’s hot stuff, cause I can bring him down a peg easy.” Triple Threat said. “I like to think I’m cool, but I can take any challenge, any day.” Jack replied coolly. Triple thought for a moment, and said, “How about a race. First from here to Sugar cube Corner and back wins. They lined up. “3, 2, 1 go!” Rainbow Dash yelled. Triple Threat took off in a red streak with 3 blue lightning bolts in it. Jack was amazed. “Not bad, she’s fast; I’ll give her that, but let’s see how you like this, Wind full speed ahead.” Jack speed after Triple. *** A pitch black mound of sand was moving as if it was alive looking around in the forest. Birds, rabbits and many other animals were in shock of fear. The sand became a black net that caught 12 birds and 15 rabbits. The sand  took them into a hole deep underground, where the animals were  then put in cages. “Well done my little pet” said a mysterious figure in the shadows. “Now we move onto phases 2.” *** The race ended with Triple Threat being the winner. “Who can believe it, the mighty Jack Frost beat.” Rainbow Dash cried. “Hey I demand a rematch!” Jack said with angrily. “It’ll be 1000 years to early for you to challenge me again pal.” Triple said casual. “Ha, ha, ha, ha, sorry but this is too funny not to laugh at.” Rainbow Dash said. Before anything else a group of guards appeared. “Jack Frost I hereby arrest you in the name of Celestia.” The captain said. “Say what now!?” Jack replied. “What did he do?” Both Triple and Rainbow asked. “Well let’s see, he over-watered the clouds for the pegasi at the weather factory yesterday, froze the trees at Sweet Apple Acres for harvest season, snuck into the palace, froze two of the guards, oh and of course let’s not forget he froze Princess Celestia’s horn...” The captain said. “At least he forgot about Luna’s room.” Jack though. “And for making it snow in Princess Luna’s room” the captain said. “OK now I’m now screwed.” Jack though with a look on he’s face. “Do you have anything to say for yourself?” asked the captain. Jack whistled. “What was that suppose to do?” one of the guards asked. Jack created an ice floor to keep his hooves from moving. “You may want to buckle up in 3,2,1.” Jack said with a smile. “Oh no!” Triple Threat said with a weird look on her face. “What is it?” Rainbow looked.  “HOLY WONDERBOLTS It’s a HURRICANE!” Every pony expect Jack was pulled towards the hurricane which soon disappeared TT and RD couldn’t fly because the strong hurricane messed up their wings. As they fell down up in the sky soft snow broke their fall. "You’re welcome.” Jack said with a slick voice and vanished like the wind. “It’s official, I hate that pony.” the captain said. “At least it can’t get any worse.” TT replied before a large amount of snow frost fell on the captain. “Oh you had to say it” Rainbow Dash said. “JACK FROST!!!” A hot headed captain yelled furiously. //-------------------------------------------------------// Queen Chrysalis's Plan //-------------------------------------------------------// Expanding the Ranks Back at the palace, Princess Celestia was troubled. “What am I going to do with that pony?” Celestia though out loud. “Well, we could trap him in the moon for eternity.” Luna suggested. “Ok ok just brainstorming here.” Luna said with the look she was getting at her sister. “Although Jack Frost does do the most irrational of acts I feel as if he’s finding something.” Celestia said. “Well sister, he has asked you who he is but that was a very long time ago.” Luna brought up. "True, but as I told him before I have no idea what he spoke of.” Celestia concluded. “Princess! Princess!” Celestia and Luna turned to two guards covered in black sand standing at the door. “It said it wanted to see you.” One said weakly. Then they both collapsed. The sand took the form of the dreaded Queen Chrysalis, then disappeared. “Call Twilight Sparkle and her friends at once.” Celestia ordered. Later that day, the mane six were at the palace. “My faithful student, the queen of the changelings has returned. I need you to find out what she’s doing and stop her.” Celestia said. “Ooh, do we get cool new stuff, do we? Do we?” Pinkie asked. “Oh Pinkie, really?” Applejack said. “Hey, were in the presence of the princess, show some class.” Rarity said. “Oh bite me Rarity, when was the last time you cut loose?” Rainbow Dash asked. “Well I never, well at least I’m not some pig, unlike some ponies I know.” Rarity retorted. “Guys, not in front of the princess.” Twilight begged. As the conversation went on, Fluttershy noticed a beam of light coming through one of the stain glass windows of the palace. The light made a picture. She yanked Rainbow Dash’s tail. “Hey, what the…” Rainbow started but stopped when she saw the light. The others noticed it and came over to look. The light showed all of Equestria in fear and torment. “That must be what will happen if we don’t stop Chrysalis, what can we do to prevent this?” Twilight asked the light. The light changed and showed two ponies being formed. On was revealed to be “Triple Threat!” Rainbow exclaimed. “Who do you think is the other pony? Maybe it’s Lightning Dust.” Pinkie suggested. Rainbow hoped it wasn’t. who it was surprised everypony. “Jack Frost!” Celestia exclaimed. “Well, if Jack can use his powers for good, it’s okay.” Fluttershy said. “ARE YOU KIDDING ME, THIS IS JACK FROST, HE ONLY CARES ABOUT MAKING TROUBLE WHEREVER HE GOES!” Rarity screamed. “But then again, we can’t let all of Equestria fall to darkness, we’ll need both of them.” Twilight said. They left the palace and returned to Ponyville.  When they did, they gathered Triple Threat and Jack Frost. “We need both of you to join us on our quest to save Equestria from Queen Chrysalis.” Twilight said. “Just how do we do that?” Triple asked. “The light showed us that both of you will become elements of harmony.” Twilight said. Jack Frost laughed. “You’re kidding me, right?” Jack asked. “NO.” Twilight said. Jack made a run for it. “Stop him.” Twilight shouted. Rarity jumped in front of the door. “Out of my way marshmallow!” Jack demand. “MARSHMALLOW!” Rarity growled. She relentlessly beat the living sh*t out of Jack, then stuffed him in a sack. The mane six and TT then collected the elements of harmony and set off for Canterlot again. They arrived at the palace where Princess Celestia was waiting. “Hello again, and this must be Triple Threat. It’s nice to finally meet you; I’ve heard much of you from Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy. Now, where’s Jack?” Princess Celestia asked. “Right here princess, Rarity.” Twilight motioned. Rarity opened the sack and dumped Jack Frost out. “Oww, what the…” Jack was confused. “Excellent I hoped the ponies treated you well, Discord will you come her please?” Celestia asked. The reformed Discord walked into the throne room. “Oh yeah, I was treated well if you call being beaten up and being stuffed into a sack good treatment.” Jack said sarcastically. “Great,  because that was my suggestion.” Discord said as he walked  past Jack. He paused briefly to smile at the blue pony. Just then, the elements lit up and 2 necklaces appeared around Triple and Jack’s neck. Triple was excited, but Jack was annoyed. He took of the necklace and crushed it with his hoof. When it was destroyed, a snow storm started in the room. Everypony got their manes frozen. “What makes you think I want to be an elemental?” Jack said angrily. "The fact that the light said so," Pinkie said, then started singing, "Oh Jack Frost we want..." "Buck the singing!" Jack yelled. Pinkie looked at him shocked. "Sorry." she whispered sadly. Everypony stared at him. “Look I’m flattered, but you guys don’t want me to join you. You guys are hard work and deadlines, and I’m snowballs and fun times. You don’t want me as a hero.” Jack continue. “Oh well, we tried, you can go back home now Jack.” Applejack said hastily. “Jack, I don’t think you understand what we do, we protect the ponies of Equestia and keep them safe from evil.” Fluttershy said softly. “She’s right Jack, we’re facing a threat greater than anything we've faced before, Queen Chrysalis is back and…”Princess Celestia said. “Wait, Queen Chrysalis, you mean queen of the changelings?” Jack asked. “Yes, when she threatens us, she threatens all the ponies of this land.” Celestia said. “All the more reason for you to chose somepony else to be a hero.”Jack said. “You where chosen to be an elemental, along with Triple Threat. Twilight said. “By who?” Jack asked. “By my parents, the king and queen of Equestria. They are the ones who made the elements of harmony.” Princess Celestia said. “Why didn’t they tell me?” Jack asked. “This is crazy. So after all the years of playing a puppet on a string to them this is their answer for me to waste the rest of my life making ponies believe in all this harmony garbage. No way, you hear me you two crack ponies, this is not for me, no offence.” Jack said looking at the ceiling shaking a hoof. “Now how is that not offensive?” Applejack responded. “You know what, who needs him, what does this joker even know about giving hope to ponies any way ya’ll?” Applejack asked. “You ever heard of Winter Break or Snow day. I know it’s no apple on a stick but ponies like what I do for them toots.” Jack told Applejack. “But none of them even like you do they? They can’t even look at you without thinking your some kind of freak or monster am I right?” Applejack asked. “Applejack, that‘s taking it to far”. Fluttershy said. “No, no it’s okay, the jackrabbits right”. Jack said with a sly smile. “The what, what did you call me? I’m not a jackrabbit ya hear”. Applejack said furiously. “Oh, well here I am thinking that you always were one. Well then Jacky if you’re not a Jackrabbit what are you?” Jack asked. “I’m Applejack, the pony of Honesty, and unlike you ponies actually accept me” Applejack said. There was a dead silence in the room. “Jack come with me.” Celestia ordered. Jack followed the alicorn to another room. The royal mare closed the door. “Jack Frost, who do you think you are?” Celestia asked the earth pony. “What?” Jack asked. “If my parents chose you to be an elemental, then you must have something special inside of you.” The princess then took a flower from a vase. “What is this?” Celestia asked. “Um, a flower.” Jack said. “Yes, but what do you see?” Celestia asked again. “I see a flower.” Jack said. “It represents me Jack, if you get to know me, you’ll see that I’m not only calm, polite and patient, you will also see that I am brave, strong, independent, mysterious, and at the my core I’m…” Celestia said wisely. “A big seed?” Jack asked. “Look closer Jack.” Celestia said. “I don’t know, bright?” “Yes, I’m very bright, that’s what makes me who I am, a light that shines and gives joy to all. To see the wonder and beauty of this world for others to see and feel the magic and how everything flows though, it’s my core what is yours”? Celestia asked as she handed Jack Frost the flower. The blue earth pony pondered this for a moment. “I don’t know “Jack responded trying to give the flower back however Celestia wanted him to keep it as a reminder of what his core is. Jack actually showed a small smile for the gift. They went back onto the throne room. The others were staring at a staff on the ground. “It formed after you crushed your necklace; I guess it’s still an element.” Twilight said. Jack picked up the staff. “Now this is more like it.” Jack said pleased. “Sister there is trouble in the Everfree forest” Luna said. “Everypony to the carrier!” Celestia command. “Hold on Celestia I already told and your fan girl club I’m not going, and besides there’s no way I’m getting on some girly carr…ier” Jack said before he saw the upgraded carrier. Basically, it was almost hot rode that flew. Celestia was enjoying the look on Jack’s face with his jaw opened. “ OK, one ride, but that’s it” Jack said. Twilight, Pinkie, Rarity, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Luna, Discord, Jack, and Triple got on. “Applejack aren't you getting on?" Twilight asked. “Oh yeah about that, I think I’m better taking the train, you know where the ground the is” Applejack said. “No time to waste get on!” Triple Threat replied as she forcefully pulled Applejack into the carrier. “Everypony ready?” Celestia asked. “Wait, Wait where are the bloody seat belts?!” Applejack said in horror. “Oh, there are no seat belts” Luna implied. “WHAT!” Applejack burst out. ”Well how else is it supposed to move fast?” Luna answered. “And where off” Twilight said. The carrier took off like a rocket with a sonic boom. Everypony was fine except Applejack and Fluttershy, they were in terror. “I hope you don’t blow chunks.” Discord said. “I hope you don’t choke on apple seeds lizard lips.” Applejack said annoyed. As the carrier flew through the sky, Applejack was focusing on not losing her lunch. Jack decided to have some fun with it. “Hey Jacky, check out this awesome…whoa!” Jack said alarmed, it seemed he would fall over the edge. Applejack pulled him into the carrier again, only to see Jack grinning at her. “Aw, Jacky, you do care.” Jack said sarcastically. “Buck off you bloody showpony.” Applejack pouted. Discord got up. “Hang on everypony.” He said. With a snap of his fingers, he opened a portal that sucked the carrier in. The carrier’s speed went up so high it got out of control, especial after the came out the other end. The carrier crashed landed in the Everfree forest. When everypony got out, Twilight checked the carrier for damage. “No harm done.” Twilight sighed with relief. Triple looked down at her element. It looked exactly like Dash's except the lightning gem was blue. “The element of courage. Interesting, I must of earned for standing up to those bullies for Dash and Flutters.” Triple said. “You know, maybe we’re a little too in sync for friends.” Rainbow said. Triple playfully punched her shoulder. “Come on guys, this way.” Twilight called. //-------------------------------------------------------// Getting other to believe //-------------------------------------------------------// Queen Chrysalis's Plan She led the group to Zecora’s hut. They found Zecora outside tending to her garden. “Hey Zecora.” Twilight said as they walked up to her. “Hello Twilight, what brings you might?” Zecora asked. “We were wondering if you’ve seen anything out of the ordinary lately.” Twilight said. “Yes I do, I see you have two new ponies with you.” Zercora said, pointing to the red pegasus and blue earth pony. “I’m Triple Threat.” Triple said. “And I’m Jack Frost.” Jack said carelessly. “Anything else?” Applejack asked. “Yes, I saw animals running away from something while I was finding herbs on the forest floor. When I went to investigate, I found nothing but a hole that wasn’t there before.” Zecora told them. Everypony looked at Fluttershy. The yellow pegasus thought for a moment. “Where is this hole?” She asked finally. Zecora lead them to it. Once there, Fluttershy examined the hole. “It not like any hole I’ve ever seen before, I don’t know what animal could have made it. Our best chance of finding out is to go down it.” Fluttershy told them. “Last one downs a blank flank!” Rainbow Dash called as she and Triple Threat dove into the hole. Twilight sighed. “Apparently they also share going headfirst into things.” she said sadly as she jumped in after them. The others followed. They slid down a long dark tunnel into a room full passage ways. A trail of black sand went down the middle one. “Follow the sand, believe me.” Princess Luna said. They followed the trail of sand which lead them to another room that had caged animals hanging from the ceiling with a large stone pillar. The queen of the changelings stood on top of it. “Well, Well, Well, all the big shots of Equestria all in one place, lucky me. Did you like my little show Princess of the night? It got you all together didn’t it?” the queen asked mockingly. “Listen you, you got thirty second to release those animals or I’ll…” Flutershy screamed. “Or you’ll what? Give me your little stare; oh I’m so scared I’m shaking.” the wicked queen said sarcastically. “Why are you doing this?” Luna demanded. “Maybe it’s because me and my people are tired, tired of not having what you ponies have, to be accepted. Maybe we’re tired of having to live in shadows and being viewed as out casts, while you ponies roam in the sun, all viewing each other as equal.” Queen Chrysalis said coldly. “Chrysalis, I can understand why you would think that, and I can see why you'd want to change it, but how your going about it is all wrong. If anything, will make matters worse.” Discord said. “Really? The spirit of disharmony understands my case?  How amusing. Do you honestly think your in any position to reason with me, Discord?” Chrysalis asked menacingly. “Yes!" Discord shot back with just as much malice, catching eveypony else off guard. "They didn't except me right away either, even after my reformation. But going back to my old ways wouldn't help instead, once I learned that having friends is a good thing, I started to change my approach so I could make more. I was gentle and caring towards other and in time they started to except me into society, just as you want to.” Discord continued. “Oh please, what rubbish, me and my people have been out casted for centuries, while they roamed free. Well, it’s our turn. We will have the night and day.” Queen Chrysalis said angrily. “You must be out of you mind if you think that’s going to happen!” Luna roared in her royal canterlot voice. “Oh, go suck on your horn princess.” Chrysalis said. RD and TT  looked at each other, gave a nod and flew up to attack the queen. Chrysalis turned into a giant wisp of black sand before the pegasi could reach her, but that didn't stop the two speeders from throwing punches all over it. “Oh my, is that best you’ve got, I can’t feel anything. By the way, why do even bother to work with Rainbow Dash, Triple Threat. You always came second to her, isn’t it time you came out on top?” the queen taunted. Triple stopped and though about it. It was the one thing that made her weak. Why does that fact keep mocking her? Rainbow stopped punching and looked at her red coated friend. “Triple, I can understand how you feel, but she’s only doing to turn you against us, and we have to work together. The elements only work if they are together.” Rainbow said. Triple looked down on the element of courage, then to RD, and finally the other six ponies bareing an element of hamony. "They're together now.” Triple said. Twilight started the attack sequence. The eight elementals were pulled into one area, then, just as they where about to shoot the magic rainbow to defeat Chrysalis, the elements stopped glowing. The ponies fell to the ground. "What happened?, Why didn't it work?" Twilight asked. Luna pondered. "Jack, do you know what your element is?" she asked the blue earth pony. "No, I don't." Jack replied. "That's it then. The elements can only work if the ponies who represent them know what element they represent." Luna explained. “And is that, it is, Jack Frost.” The queen continued. “I didn’t think you of all ponies would be friends with these goodie two hoofs.” Chrysalis said mockingly. “I’m not, this is only temporary, once we kick your sorry flank, I’m gone, so thanks for ruining my life you good for nothing…” Jack said angrily. “Well, if it’s like that, then I’ll just ignore you. But then again, I would imagine you are used to that, aren’t you?” Queen Chrysalis said haughtily. The speedsters just about had it, they wanted to fight. “Take your old form and fight like a mare!” Rainbow Dash yelled angrily. “Well, I’m right up here, come and get me Rainbow Crash.” Chrysalis taunted again, now back in her original form. The 2 pegasi charged at her. But before either could reach her, Queen Chrysalis’s horn lit up green, making both pegasi stop dead in their tracks. Black sand on the ground took form of a salamander. Fluttershy recognized it at once. “What have you done to Sammie?” she demanded. “Do you like my new trick, I learned it from you Luna.” Chrysalis laughed. “How?” Luna asked, scared of the answer. “Well, since you can manipulate a ponies dream, I found out how to do it myself. Then once in a creatures dream, I take away all its hopes and dreams they have until all that remains it despair. Then I put anger, hatred and loyalty to ME alone into them, thus making the perfect animal fighting machines. “So that’s why you kidnapped all those animals.” Fluttershy said angrily. She charged up the changeling queen and shot her the trademark stare. Unfortunately, it took no effect on the queen. “I’d be careful if I were you.” Queen Chrysalis said. “Why? You think I’m afraid of you, nopony has been afraid of you since Princess Candance and Shining Armor kicked you sorry hide at the wedding.” Fluttershy scream in the queen’s face. “Oh yes, the wedding, how easily Shining believed I was his beloved Candace, so easy was it to manipulate him, and so much power.” The queen said. Twilight unfolded her wings, ready to charge at changeling but Pinkie collapsed. Everypony gather around to see what happened “Oh, well look at that it’s already begun” Chrysalis said. “What has?” Rarity demanded. “Guys, I feel so weak like I’m empty.” Pinkie said. “Ha ha ha, didn’t any of you know about the elements weaknesses is, something I found out from our last encounter. Having the power of the elements is wonderful but there is a catch. If you can get enough ponies to stop believing in the elements of harmony, then everything they stand for go’s away and little by little so does the pony that represents it as if they never existed.” Queen Chrysalis said. The other elements could feel themselves begin to hollow out. “ When the Elements of Harmony no longer exist, I'll be free to do as I please, and I’m going to recreate Equestria in my own image. A world without laughter, honesty, generosity, loyalty, kindness, courage, whatever Jack represents, and magic. A world of nothing but fear and despair, and me calling the shot. And you will be out casted, my little ponies.” The queen laughed. Just then, Twilight shot a burst of magical energy at Queen Chrysalis, knocking her off the pillar. The lavender pony took another shot, but Chrysalis deflected it with a magical burst of her own. Then the salamander attacked the purple alicorn while Queen Chrysalis made a run for it. The other gave chase. The queen lead them to an exit. Just as they all got outside, Chrysalis was gone. “Well now what?” Jack asked. “Now, we see to Pinkie..” Fluttershy started, but tears won over. “Why?” she cried. Triple put a hoof on Fluttershy’s shoulder. “It’s okay, we’ll get Queen Chrysalis for doing this to those innocent animals.” Triple said. “TRIPLE!” Pinkie managed to scream. Triple turned to the pink earth pony. “Come on Pinkie, don’t die on me, remember the time I kissed you when we first met.” Triple said. Pinkie laughed at the memory, and then found the strength to get up. “Why would Queen Chrysalis only collect animals from the Everfree forest.” Rarity asked. Then it hit Luna. “That was only a distraction, the real prize is the tree of life.” She exclaimed. “What?” Discord asked. “The tree of life has leaves that hold the memories of every pony that every existed.” Luna explained. “Wait, that means that tree has my memories, and that must mean I had a life before this, we have to get to that tree.” Jack said excitedly. Fluttershy groaned and collapsed. “No not kindness, come on Fluttershy, I know you’re stronger than that.” Discord said as he picked up the first friend he ever made. As he did, a tear came to his eye. It fell of his face and landed on Flutershy’s muzzle. She grit her teeth and picked herself up. “Twilight, we  can't let this go on, I am not losing my closest friend to that ugly horse.” Discord snapped. Twilight thought for a moment. “We’ll get the ponies to believe in kindness and laughter again.” she said. “And how the hay are we going to do that?” Applejack asked. “Applejack is right, we’re talking about every pony in Equestria.” Rainbow Dash said. “She’s right, I go into 5000 pony dreams a night, and that’s not even one 16th of the total population of Equestria.” Luna said. “It might be hard, but we can do it.” Twilight said. Everypony stared at Jack. “Jack, I know we’re not your favorite group, but if you help us, we’ll do everything we can to get your memories back.” Triple said. Jack looked at Triple. There was something about this pegasus he liked, but couldn't put a hoof on it. Suddenly, the pink earth pony got in his face. "Yeah come on Jack, join us." “Okay, I’m in.”  Jack said pushing Pinkie out of the way. “Follow me to the tree.” Zecora said. She lead them to the largest tree in the forest. But while the trees had leaves, this one was bare. “Oh no, this is not good, the memories are gone.” Luna said. “What now?” Applejack asked. “Now we get to the carrier, we’re going to Ponyville.” Twilight said. The group found the carrier and race to Ponyville. "Good luck  to thee and give the changelings an assbuck for me!" Zecora called as she watched the carrier fly away. //-------------------------------------------------------// Harmony itself //-------------------------------------------------------// Getting other to believe . They arrived to see the citizens all cranky and being rude to each other. "Wow, we leave for only 45 minutes and the whole town goes south." Twilight sighed. "Look!" Fluttershy said pointing to Scootaloo riding up them on her scooter. “Hey, you missed our lesson grandma.” She snapped at Rainbow Dash. “Grandma! Why I outta…” Rainbow started, but Triple stopped her. “Listen kid, tell everypony  to met us at town hall. Triple told her. Scootaloo did a u turn and speed off, leaving the heroes coughing in a cloud of dust. As they walked through town, it was more apparent that the changelings were at work here. They arrived at Sugarcube Corner to discuss what to do. “I think we should do something fun so they’ll laugh again.” Twilight said. “Like what?” Rarity asked. “How about a snowball fight?” Jack suggested. Everypony else stared at him. "What you got a better idea?" he asked. "Well, snow days are fun, I don't see why not." Triple replied. They agreed and went to town hall. Everypony in Ponyville was there. Jack could see a pinkish earth pony with her back to him. He made a snowball and threw it at Berry Punch. She turned around. “Okay, who did that?” she asked, with a slight laugh. “Well it wasn’t Big Mac lady.” Jack said as he jumped into the air. He got the wind to swirl around, creating a snow cloud. “Snow Day!” Jack cheered. The cloud snowed heavily, covering Ponyville in a blanket of snow. “Free for all!” Pinkie Pie shouted as she started throwing snowballs at everypony with her party canon, the other ponies followed suit, soon laughing and having fun. “HEY PONIES!” Luna shouted in her royal canterlot voice. Everypony stopped and looked at her. “Who wants hot chocolate?” she asked. Everypony rushed to Sugarcube corner for a mug. As they received their hot chocolate they started to share stories, and in the process shared laughter which in turned, build kindness. The elementals started to feel better. “I didn’t show it, but I was feeling weak before, but now I feel great.” TT said to Rainbow. “It was the same for me too. “ RD said. They looked over to see Pinkie and Fluttershy doing better. "You know, something tells me the changelings didn't stop at Ponyville. They must have all of Equestria under  their influence." Twilight realized. "She's right, we'll have to go all over Equestria and get them to believe in the elements again as well." Luna replied. The gang hopped into the carrier and headed for Canterlot. Once there, Luna  explained the situation and got Celestia to help. Celestia decreed that everyone was to meet in the castle. When all the big wigs and common ponies of the capital had gathered in the ballroom, Twilight, Luna and Celestia fired colorful blasts of energy from their horns. RD and TT flew in counterclockwise circles around the beams, making them swirl. Then Jack threw cold air into the swirls, making them explode and snow in colors. The ponies were in awe at the sight. Words could not express how it made them feel, but belief was strengthened. The elementals were feeling stronger and more solid now. “Wow, it feels like I just got a power boost.” Rarity said. “I feel ya sugarcube, I feel like I can applebuck for a week.” Applejack said. No one noticed a changeling watching the events through a window outside. The changeling reported back to his queen. “WHAT!?” the queen exclaimed. The trapped animals began to cheer. “BE SILENT, OR I’LL FEED YOU TO THE HOUNDS!!!!!!” Queen Chrysalis shouted. The animals grew quiet. “Do you know what this means?” she asked the changeling. The changeling shrugged “No matter,  ready the army, we take the fight to them.” The queen ordered. Back in Canterlot, all the ponies were having a good time, except Jack, he was outside thinking to himself. Triple Threat walked out to join him. “Hey, why aren’t you inside, good food.” Triple said. “Not my style.” Jack replied. “Jack, thanks for staying with us. I really wish we could have gotten your memories, we could have helped you.” Triple said. “Yeah, well that’s history, beside, it will be more satisfying to stick it to Queen Chrysalis.” Jack said. Just then Rainbow and Fluttershy came out. “Hey TT, are we interrupting?” RD asked. “No, nothing funny going on here.” TT said, but she blushed. “Really, it looks that way to us.” Fluttershy said. A colt came along and tripped over a rock and fell flat on his face. Jack ran over to him and helped him to his feet. “Thanks mister.” The unicorn colt said, looking up at the stallion. His eyes widened in horror as he looked into Jack's glowing blue eyes. Just then, his father came running up, he recognized Jack at once. “Get back!” he shouted and kicked dust in Jacks face as he raced off with his colt. Jack sighed. Triple laid a hoof on his shoulder. “Hey, no shame in being misunderstood.” She said encouragingly. “STOP! NO PONY MOVE!” Rarity suddenly called. Everypony stared at the unicorn that just came out of the castle. “Look down.”  Rarity whispered. Everypony looked down to see a bug. “Rarity, that’s a dungbeattle.” Fluttershy said. “Do you any idea what dungbeattle eat and live off of?” Rarity asked. “Yes, they live off …” Fluttershy started but was interrupted by a white hoof in her mouth. “Don’t say it.” Rarity said sternly. Jack, seeing an opportunity blew a kiss of cold air to Rainbow Dash, making her sneeze, which scared the dungbeattle who jumped on Rarity, making the seamstress panic. “AAAAAWWWWW!!!! Get it off!” Rarity screamed. Rainbow Dash slapped the unicorn, which the bug jumped onto the Pegasus. Dash tried to shake the bug off, but to no use. “Get it off!” she cried. Triple slapped the other Pegasus and the bug hit the ground, which then revealed to be a changeling. “Get it!” RD shouted. The changeling ran off with the ponies in hot pursuit. The changeling called to the other changelings hiding around the corner. Each pony followed a changeling into net trap. The changelings dragged the caught ponies to the underground tunnel system and into a room their queen was waiting. “Well well well, what have we here? Some of the elements of harmony.” The wicked queen laughed. “Let us go or well show you what the elements can do!” Dash yelled. “Oh please, you may have gotten Ponyville and Canterlot to believe again, but you have a long way to go if you’re going to make all of Equestria to believe.” Queen Chrysalis taunted. Then she noticed the blue earth pony among the group of caught ponies. The changeling queen stopped at this. “Jack, this isn’t even your fight, why do you carry on?” she asked the blue earth pony. “Mostly to fix that bad hair cut hair cut of yours.” Jack replied sarcastically. As queen mused this for her vanities sake, Princess Luna snuck up and pounced on her. The two wrestled on the black sanded floor with Luna pinning the changeling to the ground. “It’s about you showed up.” Chrysalis laughed. “Like I’d miss a fight.” Luna said. Chrysalis kicked her off and got up. Luna and Chrysalis charged at each other, colliding horns as they did. Chrysalis decided to use the sand to her advantage; she wrapped Luna up in some sand with her horn. The sand prison took shape of a cocoon and hardened. “Ha,ha,ha, It seems Princess Luna was no match for me!” the wicked queen laugh. “Oh, then maybe Nightmare Moon is!” Rarity shouted. Chrysalis turned around. The cocoon was shattered to pieces. Among the fragments stood dark figure as tall as her, staring her straight in the eye, catching the wicked queen of guard. “Who are you?” Chrysalis asked the  armored figure. “I’m your worst nightmare.” said the figure as she shot a powerful beam at the changeling, sending her flying into the night sky. The other changelings quickly flew after their queen. Once they were gone, Princess Luna assumed her normal form. “Okay, remind me not to get on her bad side, Jack said. Luna freed the five elements. “You okay?” she asked. “Yeah, no thanks to these lovebirds.” RD said. Triple punched Dash in the shoulder. They returned to the castle. “Where have you been?” Twilight asked. Once she was caught up, a worried look came across her face. “We have to keep moving, there’s no telling how long it will take Chrysalis to get back.” “Hey guys,” Pinkie said. Her mane was strangely expanding and contracting, like a heart would beat. “While you were gone I was lifted up in the air by the light we saw earlier. It enhanced my Pinkie scene, so now I have a bunch more signs of oncoming dangers and I can see things coming from the future.This one you see now  means something bad is coming in 10 days.” “We don’t have a moment to loose, let’s go!” Twilight said. The elementals, Luna, and Discord got to the carrier. Next stop, Cloudsdale. //-------------------------------------------------------// Prolouge //-------------------------------------------------------// Harmony itself Luna noticed Twilight looked thoughtful as the carrier flew through the sky. "What's on your mind?" she asked the other princess. "I was just wondering why we need eight elements of hamormy, instead of six. My friends and I were linked before we met, I mean Rainbow Dash's first sonic rainboom help all of us earn our cutie. It seems strange that two ponies whom weren't there for the defeat of Nightmare Moon could suddenly be elements of harmony. I know Triple Threat once helped Dash and Shy when they were fillies, but we have little to no connection with Jack." she continued. They looked over at Jack who sighed and turned away. "Well Twilight, harmony itself isn't limited to to six elements. There is more to it than kindness, loyalty, honesty, generosity, laughter and magic. There's courage, trust, love, even friendship itself." Luna said. "I know, but Celestia herself said you and her found the elements of harmony during Discords reign." "Hey, I'm right here." the draconequus said annoyed. Twilight, ignoring him continued. "Wouldn't the elements of harmony be a closed system?" she asked. Luna looked serious. "Remember Twilight, Mother and Father created the elements of Harmony, when we had defeated Discord..." "Again, right here." Discord commented annoyed. "Mother came to me after I raised the moon. She told us she and Father made the elements of harmony and left them where we can find them. The six element were there favorite aspects of life, however as I said earlier, harmony isn't limited to those six, they  can easily make more. They have there reason for choosing Triple and Jack to join you." Luna explained. Twilight took a moment to think about what see was just told. He thoughs, however, where interupted by a loud cheer. "We're here!" TT cheered as the cloud city came into view. The sun had risen once they had arrived at Cloudsdale. Twilight casted the walk on clouds spell on Applejack, Pinkie, and Rarity. “I don’t need that spell.” Jack told Twilight. She watched in amazement as Jack got out of the carrier and walked along the surface, an ice floor forming everywhere he went. “Show off.” Triple said as she walked past. The gang went to town hall, where Luna made an announcement. “Loyal subject, please stop what you’re doing and look at the sky.” "Buck you, why should we?" a pegasus spat at her. "JUST BUCKING DO IT." the princess thundered. The Pegasi stopped and looked up. Over head, RD and TT where doing arial stunts. The crowd stared in amazement. “We got em right where we want em, time for the finish.” Dash said. “Right behind you.” Triple said. The two pegasi flew up high and nosed dived down. As they did, mock cones engulfed both of them. They grapped hooves and began to spin around until their mock cones combined into one, then moments before hitting the clouds, they pulled up with a loud BOOM! A huge rainbow disk covered the city, and then a massive rainbow was painted across the sky, it almost seemed to re color the sky entirely, the pegasi ooouuuuu aaaaawww and believed. “It’s working I feel stronger” Twilight said. “Yeah me too , but I still feel kinda feel empty” Pinkie said. RD and TT came back exhausted. “That was harder than I remember; it doesn’t take so much to do a sonic rainboom.” Dash panted. “At least I can saw I you’re not the only Pegasus who can do it.” Triple teased. Rainbow huffed. “C’mon, we don’t have much time, to Tall Tail.” Twilight said. It was day two when they arrived. This time, the heroes nearly got crushed in mob of angry ponies. It was clear the changelings had doubled their effort before their ten day banishment. “Wait, you wouldn’t hit ponies with dresses would you?” Discord asked. With a snap, everypony was wearing a dress. The angry mob ripped off their dress and started beating our hero's with them. "Hitting a ponies with dressing, wow, wouldn't have thought of that." the  former spirit of disharmony thought to himself. “Wait, how about this!?” Jack screamed above the crowds angry boos. He had made a path of ice that went across the entire town. “Oh, I get it!” Pinkie cheered. She jumped onto the path and slid down it. The townsponies had to admit it did look like fun, and immediately followed Pinkie’s lead. Dash, Triple, Twilight and Fluttershy flew alongside to make sure nopony got off the makeshift slip and slide and got hurt. Cheers of joy could be heard as pony slid down the ice path and into a large pile of snow at the end of it. Seeing the job done, the gang hopped back on the carrier and race to Van Hoover. This time a stampede of ponies charged at them. Discord was able to get them out of the way before they got crush. “Phew, that was close, the changelings have obviously amped it up, so to speak, they almost ruined my mane.” Rairty said dramaticly. “Oh who cares about your mane, there making more chaos than me, and that’s saying something.” Discord said. “Well, what are we going to do here?” Rainbow asked. “Ah’ll tell yall what where going to do, we’re going to have us a pony round up.” Applejack said. “This ain’t the rodeo Jacky, how are we going to get of them back?” Jack asked. “We just need to herd them back to town.” Applejack said. She briefed them on what needed to be done. Once everypony knew their jobs, they set off after the stampede. Twilight, Rainbow, Fluttershy ,and Triple flew alongside the ponies some none of them go out of line. Applejack herself then went into the crowd and lassoed the lead pony, a brown earth pony, and forced her to turn around. Once they had returned to town, Applejack made her stop. The stampede stopped in front of Luna, who used a spell to put them to sleep. Everypony was surprised to find themselves in a dream, and unlike in the current reality, the town was bright and colorful, not like the gray that seemed to hang around in the waking world. “Loyal subjects, have you all forgotten what makes Equestria great?” she asked the townspeople. They looked at each other asking themselves what she meant. “Yeah they have Princess, Stand back let me show how it’s done.” Jack said. He made a giant snowcloud appear overhead, then snowflakes fell quietly to the ground. The ponies stared in awe. A snowflake landed on each ponies nose. It light up and reminded each pony the moment in their lives when they felt the happiest of all. You could hear Pinkie Pie laughing loudly at the back. Luna, seeing that the ponies where now happiest, woke them up. Everypony noticed that the work had regained its color. The sky however had darken. “Everypony, you’re in for a real treat, you’re going to see Luna raise the moon!” Twilight called. They watched as Princess Luna flew up above them, then stretch her hooves out in front of her. Lighting up her horn, Luna raised her hooves slowly. As she did, the moon rose up from behind the horizon. The crowd watched as the full moon slowly ascended and stopped in the middle of a star lit sky, giving all who saw it a feeling of awe, especially Triple Threat. She had seen Celestia raise the sun before, and seeing Luna raise the moon only made her wonder how one pony could control a celestial body. “Alright everypony, time to call it a day.” A voice said, pulling Triple out of her train of thought. She shook her head to see Princess Luna had returned. Fortunately for the gang, having two princesses with them meant they could check into luxury suites in the hotel, except for Jack, who opted to sleep outside, since he himself had never had a place to call home. “Hey guys, I’m going to stay outside with Jack.” Triple told them. Rainbow and Fluttershy smirked at each other. “Hey, it’s not like that!” Triple shot at them. “TT, if I’ve learned anything from getting with this pretty pony, it’s what love looks like.” Dash said, pulling Shy in for a hug. The red Pegasus pawed the ground. “Well, I guess he is kind cute.” She said quiety. “Cute enough to snuggle with?” Shy asked. “No!” Triple shot defensively. “Triple, I know what you’re thinking, you’re worried he doesn’t like you back, aren’t you?” Fluttershy asked. The blue maned pegasus nodded. “I know the feeling, I was afraid this one didn’t like me the way I liked her, but after that day we did snuggle, I learned it’s better to find out sooner than later.” Fluttershy said encouragingly. TT looked out the door. “Go on you crazy kid, go get him.” RD teased. Triple Threat went out the door to find Jack Frost. //-------------------------------------------------------// Jack Frost //-------------------------------------------------------// Prolouge Queen Chrysalis's POV Months. Months trapped in that dungeon. Months of having to listen to my children guess words that rhyme with orange. Months of having to look at that stupid costume. Months of having to listen to "the song that never ends". I suppose sooner or later I'd break. The day I did was the day we managed to escape the horrible circumstances those ponies left us in. "THERE IS NO WORD THAT RHYMES WITH ORANGE!" I shouted at the top of my lunges. I tore the costume to bits and charged out the door, what was left of my army following me. Soon, we managed to get outside the castle. Once out, we found more of the cats and had a feast, none of us had eaten in months. We may have been down, but we weren't out. "Now what do we do, my queen." The commander asked during the feast. "Now, we destroy the six ponies who did this to us, especially Twilight Sparkle. And those three fillies, we'll kill them too." I replied. I swear, if I ever see those monster again, I'll tear them apart, limb for limb, personally. "How, my queen?" the general asked. "By using there strengths against them." I replied. "And how do we do that?" the commander asked. "While I was disguised as Princess Cadance during the preparation for the wedding, I read up on the Elements of Harmony in the castle library. According to the book, the elements can be rendered useless temporarily if one or more of the wielders die. However, the real power of the elements comes from the spirit of those elements, not the artifacts. The spirits will then find new hosts, are six new ponies can wield the elements. But, the spirits themselves draw power from ponies who believe in them. If ponies stopped believing in honesty, loyalty, kindness, generosity,laughter, and magic, the spirits will become powerless and so too would the artifacts. When the artifacts have no power, they will fade away from existence, and will those ponies who wield them." I explained. "So we not only get rid of those pesky ponies, but also Equestria's most powerful means of defense." the general reasoned. "Exactly, once that happens,and we've gained enough strenght, we can storm Canterlot and take Equestria for ourselves." I laughed. "My queen, how are we going to get so many ponies to turn on the elements of harmony?" the general asked. "Simple, we disguise ourselves as ponies and go to every last town in Equestria, and spread the opposite of the elements. Instead of generosity, we spread greed. Instead of honesty, we spread lies. We do that, the elements will get weaker by the minute." I explained. "That can take a long time." the commander said. "Believe me commander, it'll be worth the wait." I promised. So that's what we did. It took over a year, and Twilight Sparkle's coronation didn't help matters.
