Mute Agony

Muffled voices.

Something prodded her shoulder.

She shot up with a gasp of pain when something touched her wing. It was the light touch of something gentle, but it still burned like fire. She fell back and started breathing heavily, her vision too blurry to recognize the figures around her. Her muscles tensed and she looked around wildly, trying to clear her vision to see what was facing her. She felt a pair of hooves rest gently on her shoulders and Twilight's muffled voice in her-

Hooves?

Twilight?

Everything cleared and Rainbow Dash looked around and saw six ponies surrounding her. Her eyes filled with happy tears and she smiled softly, trying to speak but no words would come. She could just make out gentle voices hushing her and she smiled a bit wider, looking around at all of her friends.

Twilight Sparkle.

Pinkie Pie.

Applejack.

Rarity.

Fluttershy.

Princess Luna.

Behind her the sun was rising, glowing on her friends and creating halos above their heads. They were her saviours, her heros and her guardian angels. She was saved, she could go home and be free from this pain! Tears rolled down her face as she realized that she was finally saved, she could go back to Cloudsdale, she could fly and she could move again. She would find her voice once more, she would speak of her experiences here. The ethereal scene of the night, the starving and the thirst that pained her and all the agony she went through. For the fillies and colts she would go lighter and spin tales of heroics and adventure, but for the adults she would go all out and say what had really happened to her. She felt herself being lifted, the magical auras of Twilight Sparkle and Rarity lifting her. She looked through the magenta and blue cloud and saw Luna concentrating on her magic.

A flash obscured everything, bright blue light surrounded her and she could hear the whistle of air running through her ears. It was like a blue Sonic Rainboom, blotting out her vision. She closed her eyes but could still see it, see everypony dyed blue from their horns to their wings and their manes to their tails and their hooves. It was a teleportation spell, while in reality it was but a few seconds, to those inside they were travelling through a tunnel. After a few moments the light faded and the image inside her mind dying into darkness.

When Rainbow Dash next opened her eyes, she was in front of Ponyville Hospital.
