Spitfire longs to soar with her fillyhood heroes. Although nearly no one believes her dream is possible- especially due to an overbearing earth pony mother who tries to hold her back from ever spreading her wings to leave the nest (or even to join the Junior Speedsters)- she knows what her cutie mark is telling her. With the help of her best friend since grade school, Soarin, she will embark on a journey that will open her eyes not only to her own destiny, but to that of her father and the reason for his mysterious disappearance.
