what in the name of the almighty Faust happened???

" So you are telling me that a mysterious group of ponies managed to sneak into what is, at the moment, the most heavily guarded hospital in Equestria, kidnap THE most watched and monitored foal of our nation, take it to a secret facility  that we can't detect, AND do all of this in the matter of one day?.... REALLY???...." Celestia just watched the guard quaver in his boots. The poor thing was probably about to wet itself in fear. On the other hand she was BEYOND mad.

"You get colonel Hawkeye and tell him that, if he does not get this foal back within the day he is re-stationed to Tartarus Freeze Over Twice." Tartarus Froze Over Twice was of course the worst most miserable, most awful places the guard could be stationed too. It was the place where they sent those that could not be reformed. It was exactly what it sounded like.

" a'a'a'aye y'your maj'j'j'jesty!" The guard ran for the exit almost faster then Celestia could see. Which was funny because he didn't even reach the door when ANOTHER messenger popped into the room. They smacked into each other in a most amusing fashion. Celestia had to stifle a rather unroyal giggle. She waited for the new messenger to right himself before motioning him to come forward.

" Your majesty! Colonel Hawkeye wishes to report that he has a unicorn who claims to be one of the ones who kidnapped the foal in his custody!!!" The guard gasped for breath a few more moments. " the unicorn says he wishes to turn in the other kidnappers in exchange for amnesty. Colonel Hawkeye says he took the initiative of accepting the offer and is now marching on the-"

" That was... quick" Celestia interjected. She promptly dismissed the new messenger. She then turned to face the first messenger. "Go tell shining armor to provide colonel Hawkeye with some back up. This has been a long day... i think I will close court for now." Celestia trudged out of the throne room... It had been a long day.... She had dismissed the messenger without finding out what Hawkeye was marching into and where ... hadn't she?

Hawkeye harrumphed in satisfaction. The strange ponies that had embarrassed him by somehow snatching the foal almost totally undetected from his obser... protection. Hawkeye had to be careful, never knew when a unicorn with mental magic might be nearby. He smiled as they stepped past two unicorns being lead from the facilities observation room in anti-magic chains.

He stepped now into that very room. There was enchanted glass panels all along the wall. All of them showed the very same room. the VERY SAME ROOM. There was a insane amount of them. It was disturbing to see one foal so.... observed. It had been his job, but not even he was so disgustingly invasive. It bothered the colonel very much... Even if it was... tempting.

NO! This was too far. The colonel took his mind off such things. He took in what the glass panels showed him. It blew his mind away in ways he never expected too see.

It had taken mere moments for the letter to be teleported to Twilight, and even less for her to teleport to the facility with Vinyl. The guards said nothing just leading the poor Unicorn to the chamber with the foal in it. They quickly unlocked the door and made a small prayer to Faust as the unicorn entered.

It wasn't the horn... It wasn't the now wingless back of the foal... It wasn't even the dragon hissing at her menacingly. It was the armor. The blood red monstrosity that appeared to be armor was on a small creature. It was a foal?... It had a black horn and black hair with a red stripe... Black irises with red pupils ... That just couldn't be her foal, could it? It ...

It stripped off the armor after a few moments. It was her foal, the strange changes to its appearance under the armor just seemed to fade away as it the armor slipped off. It was her foal... She had known that... It was scared and alone and hers. She let it run to her and just sat there comforting it.

But what was with the dragon?
