//-------------------------------------------------------// The Last Sonic Rainboom -by FlutterShine97- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Opening Scene //-------------------------------------------------------// Opening Scene *The Last Sonic Rainboom* It was just like anyother day in Equestia, Birds were chirping the grass was glowing and the sun was shining, Earth ponies were doing the normal growing crops, some were shopping and some were just having fun with friend's, Unicorns were also doing the same (apart from growing crops) shopping and hanging out and a few were practicing their magic, the sky was filled with Pegasi doing what they usually did on a sunny day clearing the sky of the clouds to let the sun's warmth and beauty shine in, all was peaceful in Equestia. That was until a thunderous 'Boom' filled the air it was heard all the way from Canterlot to the Crystal Empire Princess Celestia awoke to this sound and her royal guard's immediately burst into her bed chamber "Princess it has been reported that a rainbow has filled the sky and it originated in PonyVille" "Well isn't it obvious that it is another one of Rainbow Dash's Sonic rainboom's ?"Princess Celestia Interupted with a smirk of wisdom on her face, "Yes..." "Well what's with the bursting into my chambers at this hour ?" Princess Celestia Interupted, again, "It's not just another Sonic Rainboom, well it was but just after that it looked like *a dark and mysterious portal opened up*, out of know where" "Oh, no" replied Princess Celestia she used her magic to pick up a quill and some paper and begun to write a letter to Twilight, Celestia had a look of importance and fear upon her face that the royal guards had never seen before, "Princess is everything alright" the royal gaurd knew if Celestia feared this thing it could not be good "If I am right then this portal is something that has only ever appeared once before in Equestia over a thousand years ago before I came to power, there is very little information on what it is or what it does all I remember is a book saying 'beware what lerks beyond the dark, the portals only the start' I can only speculate what it is, but I know what must be done" replied Princess Celestia "and what would that be ma'am?" replied the guard's "I must inform Twilight Sparkle of this disaster only her and the power of friendship may defeat what ever is 'Beyond the dark'" Twilight and Spike were alone at this time both had gone back to bed thinking that the 'Boom' was just a another one of Rainbow Dash's Sonic Rainboom's, suddenly Spike begun to feel something inside his stomach, it began to move, with a small burp of green fire erupting from his mouth so did a letter, hearing this familiar sound Twilight jumped out of bed with a hop, skip and a jump, she rushed toward the letter and paused just before picking it up, Twilight turned to Spike with a smile of such delight upon her face "I love getting a letter from Princess Celestia,just think of all the wonderous things she could be writing to me about" "her we go" replied Spike "Her day, my brother, a quest to uncover an ancient relic or a quest for me and my friend's to go and defeat a monsterous fire breathing dragon", with a little giggle of excitement her horn began to glow purple and the letter started to levitate, slowly she unraveled the letter as she read more and more her smile started to fade until when she finished reading it the letter dropped to the floor, bowing her head in sadness she turned to the door and started to move depressingly towards it, "Twilight is everything okay?" spoke Spike quietly and softly "It was non of those things, she wants me to go and check out an evil portal that has been so called opened by a Sonic Rainboom" replied Twilight "well atleast your the only one Princess Celestia trusts to do this, right?" "I didn't think about like that" a smile begun to appear on Twilight's face once again "come on Spike we have a mission to complete" said Twilight her face now full of determination, lifting Spike up and onto her back with her magic, out the door and down the long dirt path they went. Twilight ran all the way to Everfree forest, she was halfway their when she could see somesort of ripple above the forest it was black, black as night and it gave Twilight a strange sensation when she looked at it she didn't feel anything no fear, no anger or love of friendship "Spike is it just me or do you feel somthing strange when you look at that thing" asked Twilight with a touch of caution on her voice, with Spike's head burried into her back shielding his eye's and his arms covering his ears he replied "it's not just you", Twilight looked away from Spike with a look upon her face no longer determination but of fear, as they got closer to Everfree forest they begun to hear a voice it was very faint but they could hear it was calling for help as they entered the forest the voice became more and more clear "Spike doesn't that sound like" **"Rainbow Dash"** yelled Spike interrupting Twilight "Faster Twilight come on" screamed Spike They reached the middle of Tue forest and they could see Rainbow Dash but something was wrong why didn't she fly out of her as they got closer they saw her wing was trapped under a boulder "Don't worry Rainbow I will get you out of here" said Twilight calmly "What happened" said Rainbow with a bump on her head she was dazed and couldn't remember what happened "I don't know Rainbow but we need to get back to PonyVille to get are friends and find out what this thing is" replied Twilight with urgency Twilight and Spike both attempted to move the boulder off of Rainbows wing but it was to heavy to move with just the both of them "Twilight what can we do?" insisted Spike Before Twilight had anytime to respond to Spike's question an electrifying '**roar**' came out of no where Spike took a *gulp* "Twilight what was that?" said Spike he was shaking in fear his teeth were chattering and a tear of sweat was dripping down the side of his face "I don't think I want to know what it was" replied Twilight Twilight and Spike both grinded their teeth in fear they slowly turned their heads looking behind them and fear took over you could see this in their eye's, when they saw what was behind them they both froze for a second and in a moment of blind panic both screamed "***Dragon!***". Author's Note This is my first chapter and my first Fan Fiction and constructive criticism would be appreciated. //-------------------------------------------------------// The Element's may be the key //-------------------------------------------------------// The Element's may be the key *The last sonic Rainboom chapter 2* Behind them stood a fearsome dragon it was huge the size of all of PonyVille, the scales were red, red as blood with each move of his wings made gusts of wind blow toward Twilight, Spike and Rainbow Dash moving smaller rocks are the boulder holding Rainbow down his claws looked sharp ao sharp that they would be able to cut though a fully grown apple tree in one swing, his eye's were black and glowing red, smoke was coming out of his nose whenever he breathed out he did not look pleased to see the ponies and Spike stood infront of him, It was silent after the 'roar' that the dragon had caused all three were frozen in fear not one of them wanted to make a noise until Rainbow decided to say "guy's you need to get this boulder of me before he starts to attack us" "I agree, but how can we get the boulder of Rainbow's wing it's to heavy to move" Twilight had not taken her eye's of the dragon not even for a second, then all of a sudden she said "if we can get the dragon to fly close enough to the boulder it might just move" "how do you suppose we do that?" replied Spike "if you run past him and back around and make him chase you and then jump behind the boulder he should get close enough to move it" said Twilight with the sound of urgency on her voice "why me?" said Spike "im not fire proof am I Spike?" replied Twilight "okay fine" after saying this Spike began to run toward the dragon, the dragon let out a thunderous 'roar' and flew up into the sky Spike turned around to run back to the boulder while Twilight trotted behind a wall the dragon begun to descend upon Spike and shot a fire ball directly at him "Spike, run!" Screamed Twilight noticing the dragon was getting closer and closer and getting his claws ready for an onslaught Spike realised this to and jumped behind the boulder just as the dragon's jaw snapped shut behind him, Spike felt a tremendous amount of force that had been created due to the dragon's shear size, mass and wing power, Spike rolled forwards realising the boulder was beginning to move and Rainbow Dash sprung free. Rainbow started to fly in a circular motion going faster and faster creating a small tornado, Rainbow then flung the tornado directly at the dragon, Rainbow then flew directly down to Twilight and Spike "guy's we need to go now, that tornado won't stop him for long" said Rainbow Dash All three of them started to move as fast as they could though the Everfree forest, after a couple of minutes Twilight said "I think we lost him guy's" Just as Twilight said that a huge fireball landed right next to them burning down a few tree's that surrounded them they all screamed in fear "really Twilight, you just had to say somthing didn't you" Said Rainbow Dash They could see PonyVille they were in the home stretch, the dragon was just about to fire one last shot at the trio that would have annihilated all three of them but then 'Boom' the dragon was stuck in mid air like he had flown into somthing, the three of them stopped and turned to look at the dragon who gave out one last 'roar' in frustration and started to fly back to Everfree forest, "what was that, that stopped the dragon from going any further? Because I definitely didn't see anything" said Rainbow Dash relieved that the chase was over "I don't know, but im thankful to whatever it was" replied Twilight The trio began to walk into PonyVille they were nearly at the center of town their was not a pony insight "Twilight, Spike and Rainbow Dash are you okay?" said Princess Celestia "Princess, we are okay but I have a bit of news for you, I think a dragon came out of the portal" replied Twilight "Twilight I think you may be right, the dragon that was chasing you" Twilight Interupted "how do you know about the dragon?" "haha, I thought you may need a bit of help so I came here as fast as I could, and I could see from here that Dylektro was chasing you so I put up a magical force field to stop him from hurting you" said Celestia with a smile upon her face "okay who is Dylektro?" replied Twilight "well he is an ancient dragon that I defeated and destroyed a few hundred years ago that's why I think you may be right about him coming though the portal" replied Celestia "well how did you defeat him" said Twilight "how I defeated him doesn't matter you and your friend's need to go to Canterlot and get the Element's of harmony that is the only way that your powers will be strong enough to defeat him without getting hurt" said Celestia "are you sure that, that will work" replied Twilight "im pretty sure that his power shouldn't be enough to take on the Element's of harmony" said Celestia "okay, im going to go and get all my friends and start this quest" replied Twilight "that will not be necessary Twilight, I have already told soldiers of the royal guard to go to the apple farm to get your friend's they will be here very soon" said Celestia "wait why are they at the apple farm?" replied Twilight "I saw Dylektro coming towards PonyVille and I didn't know if my magic would be enough to stop him so I got everyone to gather at the apple farm so they would be safe" "Twilight!" shouted FlutterShy, Rarity, Apple Jack and Pinkie Pie "hey guy's" screamed Rainbow Dash "guy's we can talk later, right now we have a mission to complete let's get to Canterlot and get the Element's of harmony" said Twilight "yeah" shouted Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Apple Jack, Pinkie Pie, FlutterShy They all started to run in the direction of Canterlot.
