Chapter 3

Rosaleigh was standing outside of Sugarcube Corner, Rainbow Dash had dropped me off and wished me well for dinner. As I approached her I realized how different she looks outside the hospital, outside of her uniform. She looked so much more relaxed, even more beautiful, if that was even possible. She looked polished wearing a flowing dress that complimented her figure and the vivacious look in her eyes.

“Hi Blaze! I was beginning to worry you weren’t going to show up!” a playful giggle followed and my eyes looked to the clock outside of sugarcube corner, I was a half an hour late, Rainbow Dash kept me so busy with all her stories I honestly didn’t want to leave. Happy to see Rosaleigh I gave her a soft hug and smiled.

“Well, you look lovely tonight” She blushed with flattery. “So, what took you so long?” She asked as she opened the door.

"Oh, I was with a mare named Rainbow Dash, do you know her?" We walked into Sugarcube Corner and waited to be seated.

" Well, I don’t know of her that well. Just what other ponies say, I don't leave work much and when I do it's to come here with my favorite cousin Pinkie Pie."

"That name sounds familiar, did she go to the Galla? I do recall one pony that was very amusing named Pinkie"

"That's her!" Rosaleigh gave me a sweet smile.

We were seated at a table by the window. The sun was just setting causing the sky to have an abundance of colors in it the clouds dancing effortlessly acrossed the setting sun as it hit the mountains peaks far off in the distance. It set a lovely mood for our meal together.

“What got you into nursing, Rosaleigh?”

“My mother was a nurse and I followed in her hoovesteps I guess. I like being able to care for others when they need somepony the most. It’s a very rewarding job.”

“It must be difficult sometimes,huh?” I took a sip of my water keeping eye contact.

“Oh my sometimes I wonder why I even took this job! Would you like to hear a funny story? Alright here it

goes. I went to give an elderly mare some water and she was so determined to leave she put a sheet over her and insisted she was a ghost and she would curse the hospital if we didn’t escort her out!” Rosaleigh let out a small laugh. Her laugh was infectious and you couldn’t help but laugh when she did. She always sparkled pure joy in her eyes. She perked up and smiled after a sip of water.

“So I hear you were a Wonder Bolt, what made you stop if you don’t mind me asking”

“To be honest I didn’t like the fame,everpony knowing my name, my business, I just wanted privacy. It wasn't my dream to begin with anyway, I wanted to be an adventurer, explore new lands, all that stuff. But my family pushed me from first flight that I was meant to be a Wonder Bolt and I had no other option.”

I blushed and looked away from Rosaleigh, I feel as if i revealed too much, She looked at me puzzled.

“Oh my, I’m sorry to hear that” She laid her hoof on mine to show support. I smiled with relief.

She pulls her hoof away when food arrives and we eat in a peaceful quiet. I learned things about Rosaleigh that she didn’t have to tell me. She is a kind beautiful mare and I am thankful she shows an interest in me,

As we walk out of Sugarcube Corner Rosaleigh Gasps.

“Oh goodness! I just realized you aren’t from around here! Where do you plan on staying? Do you need help finding a place?” Right before I was about to answer I heard a familiar voice speak in a hostile tone. “He is staying with me Rosaleigh. She sneered at the sound of Rosaleighs name passing through her lips.

“I beg your pardon? I was just helping a friend out no need to get an attitude.Uhm, who are you anyway?” “

“I’m Rainbow Dash his girlfriend so I suggest you back off, sister.” My mouth gaped open at this dispute over, me? I’m not quite sure what was going on.

“Your....boyfriend?” Rosaleigh’s eyes welled up with tears. As one tear rolled down her cheek the moonlight caught it and made it sparkle like a star, I wasn’t quite sure what to say to Rosaleigh or Rainbowdash. I looked at them both in a confused daze, I didn’t want to hurt either one of them I cared for both of them this was all too confusing happening too fast I needed a moment. Right as I went to say something Rosaleigh looked at me with crushed, broken dream filled eyes. My heart sunk into my shoes I felt horrible.

“I-I am sorry i caused you two problems, I’ll be getting back to my home now, Bye Blaze” She choked out my name behind a sob as she galloped away down the road, under the star filled sky.

Rainbowdash looked at me with a smirk. ”Well we should be heading back to my house ,huh? It’s getting pretty late you know Blazefire.” Before I could speak she had me scooped up and on our way to Cloudsdale. My conscious burning me on the inside. All I could see on my way to Rainbow Dash’s house was the crushed look on Rosaleigh’s face.
